Satellite L450 - 18 d and factory reset

Hi to all readers,

I'm trying to reset my laptop to it's out of the box. Have you tried the widely recognized method to turn off the unit for 10secs and then restarting while holding down the button zero and waiting for the bleep unit, no beep occurs, the only results in a page is displayed showing details of the Celeron processor? I did drive recovery

Can someone help / advise either procedure?

Thank you very much for the research, I hope that someone out there can HELP?

Best regards

Recovery image installation can be done on two tracks:
Recovery image installation - HARD drive - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R02.htm
-installation with recovery DVDs

If possible start HARD drive recovery facility as described in the document of Toshiba. If this doesn t work using disks of recovery if you have.

Sorry, but the restriction password cannot be reset, it is part of the backup and restore a backup that was taken after the restrictions were activated, restore this code again.

You will have to start without the help of the data backup, configure the phone to factory settings and start over. Follow the steps mentioned in this article:

Use iTunes to restore your device to factory settings - Support Apple iOS

If you lose or forget your password restriction, you must erase your device and then put it up as a new device to remove the restriction password. Restore the device by using a backup does not delete the access code.

  • Satellite L750-115 and Factory Reset

Hello, I watch/read thousand video's / forums on how to factory reset in the Toshiba Satellite L750-115. Everywhere I found that "press 0 during startup. But it didn't work for me. When I try to get help from the toshiba Web site, I can still get my cell phone.

If anyone can help me, it will be very nice...

In General, you have two options:
You would use HARD drive recovery option to recover the computer laptop back to settings factory, or you must use the recovery Toshiba (disk or USB) media which must be created using the Toshiba recovery media creator software.

But this means of communication should be established as long as the laptop works properly...

Have you created this support in the past?
If this isn't the case, you can use the option of recovery of HARD drive, BUT ONLY if the HARD drive and partitions are not affected!

I guess that Windows 7 is pre-installed on your laptop.
Well, in this case power unit, then press F8
Then you should get the advanced boot menu... Choose here: fix my computer...
    Then Toshiba HDD recovery.

If this is not possible, drive HARD recovery is not possible and the only way of recovering the laptop is the use of the recovery disk...
As mentioned, if you do not have the disk, you can try ordering this support here:

    Hello

If all goes well he material s no problem, but I m afraid it could be
I think it might be a hardware problem, because you said that you have already configured the laptop back to factory settings and this has not solved the problem.

I understand this correctly? You used the recovery disc or HARD drive recovery?
    Is this good?

What you could do is to check if your BIOS is up to date.
On the European driver Toshiba page, you will find the latest version of the BIOS.
Check if you can update the BIOS.
In addition, I recommend setting the BIOS to default and settings to save the changes.

At least a graphics card driver might be updated also. Its worth a check however, I m really not sure if this might help you

  • My phone locked and factory reset

Oh boy. I had never been asked to use a password to unlock my phone, except when I created my work email sync account. There is a password that I had to use because my company uses a system of RSA SecurID authentication code. All Sync ok, my Sync of calendar with the calendar of my work, my work e-mail came through, beautiful. I then turned off the wi - fi and also have an app that turns off (I'm experimenting with settings for my trip to Europe, where I don't want not data crawling in except for via wifi) the given 3G, and clicked the button to lock the phone. I've never had to enter a password to unlock the phone before, but the next time I went to unlock the phone it was the case. I thought it had to do with my work e-mail account, but it was weird because I updated the manual synchronization. I tried to enter in what I would come to my work email, but it did not work, until the phone did a reset to factory. I was grateful for that, better than be locked up on the phone. I would like to know why this happened and how to prevent it. What other password might the phone asked for? What would a password 'phone' had been setup?

You can check with HER. I heard that it may be possible for them to impose a password lock remotely. I have no experience with exchange, so I can't say with certainty.

    Hi there @Jeremy169,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome! It is an excellent site to find answers and ask questions. I saw your post on the Forums of HP Support. If I understand your message that you have a problem with the wireless Internet is intermittent.

Do you by chance have Bluetooth? Is it on?

I found some material that you can use to troubleshoot wireless problems you encounter.

The first document that I found for you is called using Automated Troubleshooting (Windows 10: 8). This document describes how to use the troubleshooting tools automated in Windows. These tools use a combination of installed applications and online detect and resolve many computer problems, such as problems with networking, system performance and hardware devices. Although automated troubleshooting cannot find and fix all the problems, it is a useful tool which can often save you time and effort.

The second document, I found for you is called troubleshooting wireless network and Internet (Windows 8). The steps described in this document provide the tools that were found to be useful in solving many problems that can occur with wireless network connections and the Internet.

The reason why I asked you about Bluetooth technology is because I found a document called intermittent Wireless connection with Intel Centrino Wireless - N 2230 and Advanced - N 6235 Bluetooth Combo Wireless Modules (Microsoft Windows 8).

Please follow these troubleshooting steps, re-post and let me know how everything went.

    Thank you!

    Have a great day!

  • An urgent need to change the code PIN, don't want to factory reset

    Hi all

A few weeks ago, I accidentally dropped my Xperia Z3 Compact on the ground. The damage was not serious, apart from a few scratches on the screen, at least, I thought. It turns out that the damage was much more than just some scratches: a few hours later, my touch screen started acting weird and finally the half top of the touch screen is not functional, as in the screen still worked, but I couldn't support what either on the upper part of the screen.

You guessed it already: my PIN contains the number 1, and on the unlock screen, the number 1 is on the upper part of the screen, making it impossible for me to enter my full pin code. I want to reset the pin code, but I don't want my lost data.

    Things I've tried:

-Device android Manager: everything is functional in the SMA: location works fine, I can ask a ring and I can probably delete my camera as well, but I have not tried. When I press the "Lock" option on the other hand, it does not work. I have a password on my PC and confirm. He invites even "Lock request successfully sent" or something in that direction, but when I look at my phone, nothing happens. When I try to enter a new password, it invites "since Google has verified that a screen lock is already set, the password you entered is not necessary." Looking at my phone, nothing happened.

-Enter the code wrong PIN several times to connect with my Google account: I think it is already patched, but I tried anyway. My phone is locked for 30 seconds every time.

Google search gives thinking I should factory reset my device so the PIN will be removed, but I got precious files on this phone, and not on a SD memory

Would be just to back up my whole phone on a PC and factory reset it, but I can't access the files of the phone while it is locked.

If anyone has a solution for my situation, it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

Connect a USB mouse via the otg cable and use it to unlock.

  • Factory reset - what is reset?

    Hello!

I was wondering that when after a factory reset, is it really a "factory reset"?  The reason why I asked is because I set the background to something other than a background of motorola and did a reset.  The phone resets, showed a cloth with a progress bar and restarted.  Naturally, he's stuck at the motorola "M", so I took the battery for 5 minutes, put in, reactive the phone and ran through the wizard.

By getting on the desktop, I noticed that the bottom was the same.  It's a bit uncomfortable knowing that there may still be something left on the device.  The only thing I can think is that maybe, just maybe, the bottom got backed up when you perform a HotSync to something.  But honestly, I can't imagine the backup Sync photos and funds.

    Thank you!

rushedinlove wrote:i think google has something to do with that .. when you log into your gmail account it will restore some things .. not sure but i it doesn't do it all the time .. the mother in law has been through 3 phones already and the bf with two .. so when they change phones and factory resets some of they prefferences were still there or moved to the new phone ..

There are things that does not have a factory reset. Themes and backgrounds are 2 examples. Another is the custom dictionary and sometimes the network key.

    Hello

I'm trying to reset my Satellite Pro P200-1JV to factory settings. I tried pressing reset and turn on, also tried pressing F8 and turn on and no system recovery doesn't happen as I was told that it should.

I put everything in place of discs with it and it's a Vista operating system.

    Help, please!

    Thank you!

    Hi alanmanley,

Why you press the zero key to restore factory settings?
You can restore the factory settings if you go into the advanced Windows (F8) boot menu and select Repair my computer. Then will begin the recovery of HARD drive and reinstall Windows.

In addition, this option is available on OS preinstalled Toshiba and the recovery disc, that you create yourself as mentioned in the user manual.

Last but not least check this article:

  • Satellite A200-195 - you try to reset to factory settings

    Hello

After you have backed up all my data, I'm trying to reset my Toshiba Satellite A200-195 back to factory settings, to try to get some of the performance. Internet search has launched a number of ways to do this, but none do not work for me.

I tried now button 0/F1/F8 when switching on the PC until I get the beeps. But then, the only options I get are safe mode, safe mode with networking or start Windows normally.

I pressed the F8 key the time Toshiba screen upwards and got through a number of options, including the repair of the system. However, after selecting that, when the dialog box appears, these are all the options I get

    1 Startup Repair tool
    2 system restore
    3 Windows complete PC Restore
    4 Windows Memory Diagnostic tool
    Command prompt 5
6 restore the full Windows operating system.

There is nothing obviously suggests a Toshiba Assistant or mentions the factory settings. I tried the last option, which brings up a dialog box telling me that if the pre-installed files are corrput I can use the recovery disks and just the OK option. After clicking on OK nothing happens. I tried several times, but each time waived forward and pressed the stop down or restart buttons.

I also tried the first 3 options, but none of them gave me an option to reset the default or the other.

I have no recovery disks and I saw searched the help files for the system backup, can't find anyway to create them - only standard data file backups.

I don't have any disks that came with the laptop.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium.

Can anyone suggest anything, that I have not tried yet please? PLEASE?

    Thank you. :)

Obviously the HDD recovery partition isn t available on the HARD disk and, therefore, you will not be able to perform HARD drive recovery procedure.

To retrieve the computer laptop back to factory settings, recovery disk should be used.
If you n t own this disc, try to order the support on this page:
    http://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

But in case the laptop is too old, you will not be able to order this support more.
