Satellite L450d-113 does not turn on

Hello

I wonder if someone can help me.

All turns on my Toshiba Satellite L450d-113.
I tried to take out the battery and hold the power button / stop for a while but nothing seem to work.

I have some very important things about this University and I really need help.
When I plug in the charger the power light blinks for a while then nothing.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thank you...

First of all, of all the good news:
Your University stuff on the HARD drive does not seem to be affected because I think that HARD drive is not a malfunction. So you can remove the laptop HARD drive form and could connect to another computer using an external USB 2.5 HDD caddy.
In this case, you will have access to personal data.

Now back to the problem laptop.
It looks like a malfunction of the physical environment and I guess parts like motherboard, CPU modules or RAM can prevent the unit of power.

RAM modules can be replaced very easily, but I put t know if the RAM is really the troublemaker.
Maybe you can visit some of downtown specialist for laptop to check the modules.

    Hello

I am facing a problem for the last few days on my Satellite PRO U - 300 (31st PSU)...

The machine does not turn off and the power light stays on (blue LED) even after you have disabled. In fact, happened 3 - 4 times when I start the computer normally by pressing the power button / stop, it does not start and I noticed that the indicator was not extinguished even after + shut down +. Like any it is blocked! I have to finally, remove and reinsert the battery to start the laptop.

Some details of my pc are as under:

Version of the OS Microsoft® Windows Vista Business 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1
    BIOS Version V2.00
    Processor Intel (r) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU T7100 @ 1.80 GHz

Can someone help me solve this problem. Is it possible that during the uninstallation of programs, any perticular driver file is also deleted?
    Thank you

    Hello

I don't know that you understand the indicator of power, but to me it sounds like AC Power LED and this LED is always on when the laptop is connected to the power supply.

Power on / off LED is probably what you mean (the other starting on the left).
Anyway, you turn off your laptop using a standard on the Start button?
Are you sure you want to use the Hibernate mode.

Believe me, the entire description here is pretty confusing to me. It may be that the laptop is turned OFF but power light is still on.

Have you installed something 4 days ago? Or deleted some important application?
Sorry, but it is not easy to say with certainty what the problem is here.

  • Satellite M30-113 does not work well when I use FreeBSD 6.2

    Hello

My M30-113 does not work well when I use FreeBSD 6, 2-RELEASE http://www.FreeBSD.Org/

I was told that Toshiba has release a new bios to correct the problem of cooling, because it does not allow me to fan passive cooling in FreeBSD.

So could we have a new bios to solve this issue?

    Arabian salvation

I am sure that mobile industry is focused on Windows operating system and hardware architecture together and preinstalled software are adapted and also configured to run well and stable.

This operating system is supported and if something should be better portable manufacturers offer different updates to the BIOS. Of course, you can preinstall what you want but you can not expect support for everything you can find on the market and because of this I n t believe that you won't find any update especially for FreeBSD 6.2 - RELEASE BIOS.

  • Satellite L30-113 does not recognize the two modules DIMM RAM

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite L30 113.
It has 512 MB of RAM and therefore struggled to run Windows Vista, so I bought another 1 GB of RAM.
    It's DDR2 553 MHZ (PC4200.

The problem I have is that the laptop does not recognize both DIMMs, i.e. the old 512 MB and the new 1 GB when they are in the whole PC. I tried the two DIMM individually in both slots and there is no problem, but when I install both the system sees just 1 GB. I tried the DIMMs around two ways but without success.

    Did I miss something?
They should be the same size as in the bad old days?
    What is going on?

    Thank you

    Adam

    > I tried the two DIMM individually in both slots and there is no problem, but when I install both the system sees just 1 GB
Seems that the two RAM modules are not completely compatible...
I've read several times on these issues and to be honest it s are not uncommon

I advise you to buy two identical RAM modules ad then to try again

I'm afraid there is no other solution for your problem of m.

Our Integrator bring to our company KVR800D2S5, but laptop memory modules does not start :(

I read manual - this laptop supports 533 PC4200 memory modules.

But SO-DIMM 533 MHz will be delivered in one month...

The memory modules, we can install to Toshiba L100-113?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I think that the laptop does not power upward because of a barrette memory faulty or not fully compatible.

Please visit this memory 3rd party:

    [Memory for Toshiba Satellite L100 113 | http://www.orcalogic.co.uk/asp/prodtype.asp?prodtype=22360&ft=m&st=3]

As you can see Satellite L100 113 memory can be upgraded up to 2 GB (2 x 1 GB) and you must use the DDR2 533 MHz (PC2-4200) 200 - PIN SODIMM

    Hi guys,.

    I have a satellite l450d - 11g on windows 7 32 bit.
When I start it, it comes up with a message saying that I need to restore due to a file named: /windows\system32\drivers/msisadrv.sys is missing or corrupt and to insert my disc.

Well I don't have a disc or anything like that with my computer and ive tried everything.

Can someone help me atall? I'll be willing to pay, just to get my laptop to the top and runninng again.
Press f8 and '0' method did not work either.

    Thank you.

    > The f8 and '0' method did not work either.

Usually, HARD drive recovery option should be available by pressing F8 at the beginning of the startup procedure.
Then an Advanced Start menu should appear where you could choose fix my computer-> drive HARD recovery

If this is not possible, then you will need to retrieve the laptop using the Toshiba recovery disc.
The disk can be ordered here:

When the Start button is pressed all that happens, there is a momentary flash of light we (don't know if it's the right name) and the light of DVD.

You can also hear the fan start but will immediately power off.

    That's all that happens.

I tried without the battery, tried to discharge the battery.

    My laptop just died?

Y at - it a hope or should I just go?

    Hello

A friend of mine had the same problem but with a laptop from another manufacturer.
The problem was faulty RAM module. The RAM module stopped working one day to another. Who knows why, however, the new module solved the problem. Replacement is very easy.

I recommend you to check the RAM modules first.
Otherwise if this isn't question of module, the problem could be linked to the faulty motherboard.

  • Satellite L450D respond does not after installing the camera software

    Hello

I bought this month a return of the United Kingdom L450D. Yesterday I tried to install the Olympus digital camera software, but once installed would not work. Olympus site application is compatible with Windows 7, but I decided to uninstall the software. I wonder if I uninstalled something I shouldn't, because does not now.

I have a message - Windows Explorer has stopped working with 2 options: find a solution online and restart the program or restart the program

Problem is cursor will respond not with the touchpad. A couple of times without reply, tried FN + F9. Mouse connected, cursor moves but will not meet the comand

    Any ideas?

    Hello

This means that camera Olympus software is causing this problem?

Hmm you have tried to uninstall the software in safe mode? Go to the advanced boot menu (F8), select Safe mode. Then try to uninstall the usual Olympus software.

In addition, you can try uninstalling with special tools like CCleaner. I use it often as it cleans the registry and others.
    Check it!

  • Satellite C850-1LK does not turn

    Hi people,

I'm trying to get a Satellite C850-1LK to turn on without success. When I connect the PSU it show initially an orange light indicating the power supply is connected. After a while of"charge" that the light has now turned white. Press and hold the power button has no effect. Laptop is no sign of life.

Hard drive sits, memory is sitting, the connections of the battery seems fine.

I remove the CMOS battery and left aside for 10 minutes. This has had an effect. When put back in place and power supply plugged in, the power main light and wifi light. Initial start-up turn on screen showing the logo of Tosihiba, but then I get a message, very briefly, that

    RTC battery is low *.
    Press on [F2 | to set Date/time.]

Only, which is for I would say a half a second, then the laptop stops just as if he lost power. Power supply light always on through. To duplicate that again, the CMOS battery must be removed again.

My question is, what is the cause. I do believe that it is the power supply. The battery itself has expired or is this a problem with the motherboard. Battery CMOS itself would be a problem?

Thanks for any advice that could be made.

    Hello

    Usually the message
    + * Battery RTC is low * +.
    Support on [F2 | to set Date/time. +]
would seem, in the case where the RTC battery is empty.

But the case is that the RTC battery attached would always when the adapter is connected to the laptop, the main battery is connected and if the laptop is turned on.

In addition the laptop could be powered even if the RTC battery would be empty.
This is why I agree with Timox: I put t think its RTC battery problem.

I'm not quite sure of the memory of Mr. in many cases, the defective memory bars could prevent Notepad to start. I think that the modules of memory should be checked also.

In the worst cases, it might be possible that your motherboard or the part of the mother board as EPROM module is defective. But this should be verified by specialists.

  • Satellite L40 laptop does not turn on

After spending some time on the internet last night I turned off the laptop and he left that night.

When I came back to it the next morning it wouldn't start, if you press the switch, the led on the front of the laptop to power green lights and stays on and the CD player starts but nothing else works.

I removed the battery and tried to run just the laptop on sector and also tried from the laptop's battery but it makes no difference

    Hello Mark

It sounds bad, and I'm afraid that there is not much you can do. Remove the battery and leave the laptop during the night. Try starting again on AC power only. If still nothing happens, you should contact nearest Toshiba authorized maintainer.

Let them control the electronic power supply. Satellite L40 is not that old, and I think the warranty is still valid. Isn t it?

  • Satellite Pro A120 does not turn on - blinking green

    Hi people anyone can help?

I have a Satellite Pro A120, which is not used for a long time,
When I plug in and turn on I get nothing except the lights on the front of the laptop, green power telling me light the d/c plug is plugged in,
loading light but the power of the light on the front of the battery flashes green twice, then amber once and the fan runs but nothing else at all.

Could someone tell me wots wrong and how to fix it please?

    Hello

Indicator of DC IN ((deuxieme left) lights green when the power adapter DC voltage.
If the adapters output voltage is abnormal or if power outages, this indicator flashes orange.

((Troisième de gauche), the power led lights green when the computer is turned on. If you select the "sleep mode" indicator flashes (a second to two seconds) while the computer shuts down.

If you notice other behaviors of indicator, then it means that something might be wrong on the motherboard. It is not possible to say what could be the problem here, but first, you should check out the bars of memory. Try to turn on the device using a single module.
If this is not enough, then a malfunction of the motherboard would be possible.

  • Satellite L450D Webcam does not not after installing new free recovery

    Hello

as published in the title of the thread, I have a problem with the built-in webcam in a laptop client. Two days ago, the operating system of this laptop has been damaged by a virus and had to be put back. I tried to install it with the recovery partition, which did not work. After her, I tried to re - built it with the dvd I burned the partition recovery with the same result.

The only thing that worked was a clean install with a detail of 64-bit windows 7 dvd and key printed on the sticker of the laptop. I managed to get everything but a part - the webcam works again.

No driver installation, the update of the bios and the re-installation has worked to get that part to work.

Someone of you know this problem and have a solution for me?

    Thanks in advance.

    Greetings Saphire

PS: One thing must be as important. When I look in the Manager of devices installed the driver for the webcam is listed as usb webcam and manufacturer of Microsoft.

    Hello

Have you tried a last webcam driver released for series such as Satellite L770D for example?

The driver of the Webcam in the Satellite L770D section has the version 2.0.0.10. It s newer version for L450D
    Maybe you should check this.

  • Satellite C855-1j4j does not turn on - the Bios Update interrupted

    Hello

I did the update on my laptop Satellite C855-14 days, and all of a sudden the power went out,
now the pc running either party but not nothing DON'T get PAST...

    What should do?

+ The message was edited: message has already been translated.

From my point of few the EPROM module must be re-flashed once more with special BIOS crisis recovery disk.

Usually, this procedure could be done only by authorized service provider available in your country.

But I found an interesting announcement about how to flash the BIOS on U400 series.
See the last post [here: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=62852]

But I don't very well if this info would be useful and if it would work in your laptop to Mr. However, in case this would not work, contact the ASP from Toshiba for help
