I tried to mount only the new but it won't start.

Some ideas?

I think that it s you already know that this Satellite L50 - has - 1 5 would support max 16 GB of RAM (2 x 8 GB)

But why, box for computer laptop doesn t is very simple: the new modules are not compatible.

I found modules recommended by Toshiba.
These are:

    Hello

    The A200 series supports different chipsets;
    Intel 945 PM
    Intel 945GM
    Intel 943GML

As far as I know your laptop supports the * 943GML * Intel chipset and the chipset supports 2 GB RAM max.
Take a look at your laptop s user manual * Page 18.*

Summer: 4 GB of RAM are not possible, and therefore your laptop does not start.

  • Satellite 1410-304 does not start after upgrading memory

I tried to extend the memory of 512 MB to 1 GB by placing two memory modules in my laptop Satellite 1410-304.
These blocks of memory are each 512 MB and type: DDR400 PC3200 SODIMM.

Each memory separate block in one of the memory slots A or B works well, no problems.

However, when the two blocks of memory are installed, the laptop does not start no more.
I hear the soft beeps indicating that a problem has occurred. The system works under Windows XP.

Someone who can tell me how to solve this problem. Thanks in advance for your help

I read manual - this laptop supports 533 PC4200 memory modules.

But SO-DIMM 533 MHz will be delivered in one month...

The memory modules, we can install to Toshiba L100-113?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I think that the laptop does not power upward because of a barrette memory faulty or not fully compatible.

Please visit this memory 3rd party:

    [Memory for Toshiba Satellite L100 113 | http://www.orcalogic.co.uk/asp/prodtype.asp?prodtype=22360&ft=m&st=3]

As you can see Satellite L100 113 memory can be upgraded up to 2 GB (2 x 1 GB) and you must use the DDR2 533 MHz (PC2-4200) 200 - PIN SODIMM

    Hello

I agree with "guy sos." There is no doubt motherboard problem now. I assume you used the incompatible memory module.

In any case, contact the after-sales Service of Toshiba partner in your country and explain to them the situation. The address that you will find under http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?pf=true

    Hi ian123,

If the boot netbook doesn't, additional memory module which means this module is not compatible and you need another.

It would be interesting to know which module you are buying exactly and what specs it has.
    Can you post this information?

In General, I have good experience with the modules of Kingston

  • R50E does not start after upgrading memory

I tried to upgrade this laptop from the factory of 512 MB to 1.5 GB. I got a Kingston 1 GB DDR - 333 SO-DIMM, but after I installed it, the laptop does not turn. Only the power led is lit.

I don't know why this happened, because all tests indicate that it should work.

    1. the new stick is ok. I tested it in another laptop and it worked. I also cleaned the contacts with isopropyl alcohol.

    2. the memory locations are ok. The old memory works in each slot.

    3. I tried to install the new one stick in a slot and it did not work.

    4. This update is officially supported by record of IBM and BIOS is up to date (v2.1, December 2006).

Unless I'm missing something there is a confusing question. Unfortunately, I don't have an another 1 GB DIMM to test with.

  • Satellite M30X-122 does not start after upgrading memory

    Hello

I want to upgrade the RAM in my Satellite M30X 122. Correctly my NB contains 2x256MB.
I bought a GB 1 333 MHz. Cl2.5 module PC2700 (corresponds to the former, but more grand ;-)))
Now I build in the module, but after the build-in system is dead.
It doesn't show anything on the screen (after pressing the button one)).

    Does Anyboby have some tips?

    Thank you very much
    Peter

    Hello

Toshiba has recommended the use of these memory modules:
    PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
    PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)
    1024MO PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G)

Well, the size of 1024MB should be compatible. In this case, it s not a module size.
Have you tried to get into the BIOS? BIOS recognizes the memory module?
    Maybe the module is broken?

In my opinion, you should check if the module memory works on a different unit. If this module works correctly on another unit if your M30X doesn t support this module of memory and you need one another.

  • Satellite C660D-107 does not start after upgrading memory

    Hi all

I just bought a Kingmax 4 GB 1333 Mhz memory for my laptop C660D-107.

Yesterday, I put and I saw on the BIOS if the laptop recognizes it or not.
The laptop showed the 4 GB memory but when I booted the machine nothing happened.

    Black screen and nothing else.
The specification to write 8 GB of RAM maximum (1066 Mhz).
I think that 4-4 GB. The frequency is perhaps the problem?

    Robert

    Hello

The bus front end (FSB) manages 1066 Mhz max.
Thus, your memory at 1333 Mhz Kingmax cannot operate at 1333 Mhz.
Usually, this should not be a problem and modules more quickly would run slowly at 1066 Mhz but there may be a compatibility issue.

Edit the memory at 1066 Mhz I have so I recommend using modules from Kingston and hand never any problem.

Normally you can upgrade your laptop to 4 GB. Look in the user manual.

  • Re: Smoker L30-10 X PSL33E does not start after upgrading RAM

    Hello

I have a problem with my laptop.
    It has 1024 MB of RAM (2 x 512), but it wasn't enough, so I decided to update to 2048 MB (2 x 1024).

I bought two modules and my computer does not start after changing them.
It was only a screen black (same BIOS has not started). I tried another combination of installation of memory modules RAM.
    2 x 1024 - did not work
    1 x 1024 - did not work
    1 x 1024 + 1 x 512 - working but not properly.

BIOS find that I only 896 MB (1024-128 for the video card)
I said OK. Let's see what will show windows. He was also 896 MB.
I launched CPU - Z and it shows that the total size of memory is 1536 MB (medium detect both modules).
I found that CPU - Z detect 1 module 1 024 MB and 512 MB secondary, but the BIOS detect only 1024 MB 1536. How is that possible?

I have fought, is that my BIOS is old, then I update the toshiba Web site form most recent version, but the problem persists.
Please someboy help me and tell what to do.

PS. the Modules are new and work correctly.
    They have been tested.

    Hello

Have you used two identical RAM modules?

What kind of modules did you use?

In my view, that the problem is related to the new, inserted modules.
There must be something wrong with the modules or modules are not completely compatible if the laptop can not boot after installation.

According to a few pages of the book handles the DDR2 533 MHz (PC2-4200) 200-PIN SODIMM modules.

    Did you use these modules?

  • Satellite L670-1EE does not start after upgrading RAM 4 GB to 8 GB

I'm trying to upgrade the RAM from 4 GB to 8 GB. If I replace two 2 GB of 2 modules of 4 GB modules, the BIOS (which is the most recent) realize the 8 GB, but does not start at startup. There is just the white cursor blinking not.

When I put in the 1 4 GB module and 1 2 GB module the system starts without a problem and has 6 GB. I checked the two 4 GB modules, they work in any combination, but not when both are installed together.

I couldn't find any rider or the settings of the bios for the RAM...

    Any idea?

Thanks in advance for the help

The last plausible explanation is that both modules are ok, but not compatible with each other.
The laptop can be upgraded up to 8 GB of RAM. This should not be a problem since the unit is supported by the Chipset Mobile Intel HM55 Express.

So I think that you need to replace the modules Kingston modules are great and work without problem.
