Satellite L50 - B - 1 K 4 - series 8 Intel xHCI HC - 9 31 - lack of device

Hello

I have install all drivers for Toshiba Satellite L50 - B - 1 K 4/windows 7.
but
Intel (r) 8 series xHCI HC - 9 31
This one is missing... Any help please?

That's what 31 9 you can check on http://www.pcidatabase.com/
I guess it might be the USB 3.0 driver. I found the download link on the download page of Intel .

You can test it.

Is that what you have installed Intel chipset utility?

  • Satellite L50 - B - 1 K 7 - switch graphics Intel because AMD

    Hello world

    I have Toshiba Satellite L50 - B - 1 K 7 (PSKTCE) model laptop.

When he has to switch from the Intel AMD graphic it turns off just without any warning. I installed the latest drivers for two graphics cards and also checked in the Device Manager for the latest versions of the drivers but the problem remains. Sometimes, for example when I turn on the Solidworks, even if it is listed in catalyst control center for high performance and must use AMD instead of Intel graphics, laptop computer still uses Intel.

When I load something in Solidworks which has need of more graphic resources (rendering...) SolidWorks crushes down with the message that AMD driver has encountered a problem, but it is resolved (on the way this laptop back on Intel graphics).

I use Win7 64 bit and switchable graphics system does not work. I have this laptop for less than a month and tried everything.

Does anyone have similar problem, or some tips how to solve?

    Thanks in advance!

    > I installed the latest drivers for two graphics cards
According to the specifications specifications page, this unit has been sold without preinstalled system.
Therefore, it seems that you have installed the Win 7 64 bit in your own hand.

Where did you download the drivers (Intel and ATI) graphics card?
Have you used the drivers available on the page of the Toshiba UE driver?

To switch to the external GPU you must right click on the desktop.
In Catalyst Control Center Power, click on select Maximum Performance when it is plugged

Then in global settings of Switchable Graphics also choose maximize Performance

Then click on the switchable graphics Application settings
Now, you would be able to add an application (game, etc) that could use this graphics card settings

Now, just point to the exe file and add to the list of applications.
After that, you will see the exe file in the list. Click the graphics settings and set it to high performance.

  • Satellite L50-A01Q: where to find the latest Intel graphics driver

I brought a Blu - Ray external drive and tested to see if I could play blurays but the Intel graphics driver is outdated.

I downloaded the new driver from Intel, but he could not install.
He said I had to download the driver of my manufacturer.

But the new driver is not available from Toshiba?
There, because I can not play blurays.

    > I downloaded the new driver from Intel, but he could not install.
    > He said I had to download the driver of my manufacturer.

Of course, you can install the Intel driver downloaded from Intel page.
You must download the zip package where only files are placed in the record of the driver.
Then you have to unpack this package, then go to Device Manager and update the driver by using the Advanced installation procedure. This will allow you to point to the folder of the Intel driver you have unpacked (desktop?)

    This procedure worked for me

  • Satellite L50-A-108 - what RAM modules are compatible?

    Hello!

    I have a C50-A-108 with processor Intel® Core i5 - 3230M (3 m Cache, up to 3.20 GHz) rPGA.
I want to add a stick of RAM, and I wonder if this specification: DDR3/L /-RS 1333/1600 for my motherboard means that I can use a RAM DDR3L.

My laptop has already installed a DDR3 RAM (1,600 MHz), so I found a stick DDR3L 1.5V 1,600 MHz with the same timings as my system and I want to buy it. Before that, I want your opinion.

    Thank you.

    Hello

To my knowledge, the Satellite L50-A-108 was equipped HM70 mobile Intel Express Chipset. Is this correct?

    Express chipset mobile Intel HM70 supports 2 GB modules / 4 GB / 8 GB DDR3 1333 (PC3-10600) SO-DIMM and max 16 GB of RAM

The Intel Core i5 - 3230 M CPU processor supports DDR3/L /-RS 1333/1600 modules and the speed of the module is related to the speed of the front side bus.
    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/72164/

In the case where the FSB is limited to 1 333 Mhz, 1600 Mhz modules would be pointing down.

  • Is guaranteed replacement HDD on Satellite L50 series

    Hello world
I'm trying to discover, weather the HARD drive in the L50 series satellite s a CRU or whether to replace the HARD drive would be voiding the warranty.

Here, I would just use the SSD to my old notebook instead of the common snaildrive.
Could you give me some advice on this?
    Thank you very much.
    haegarhorrib

L50 - A as well as the Satellite L50 - B satellite contains not a single HARD drive with separate access Bay...

This means that the entire bottom plastic cover must be removed to gain access to the HARD drive as memory modules... and this will void the warranty...

You will find instruction how to remove the ODD on the L50 - B series
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/CRU4603M20001R01.htm

and as you can see, there is no access to the separate HARD drive Bay

  • Satellite L50 - B - 2 8 - new SSD is not recognized in the BIOS settings

    Hello

    I just bought a new laptop Toshiba Satellite L50 - B - 2-8 and I also bought Samsung SSD 850 evo 250 GB.
When I try to install the SSD drive rather my drive HARD, the BIOS show 'none' in the category of SSD/HDD (BIOS not recognize the SSD).

    Please help me.
    My bios version is: 2.00
someone told me that I have to downgrade my version of BIOS to 1.2V and then the BIOS recognize the SSD drive, so perhaps someone here can send me a download link for version 1.2 of my model L50 - B - 2-8.
    Thank you

someone told me that I have to downgrade my version of BIOS to 1.2V

And who? I mean you are sure that this person was right?
From my point of view of the few there is no reason why beginning version BIOS should recognize the SSD and the latest version of the BIOS is not...

But BIOS v1.2 for series Satellite L50 - B - 2 8 PSKTQE there is no v2.0 (at this time) is the latest version and previous versions of BIOS are not available for this series.

Also, I guess you must slimply check different SSD drive... it might be possible that the other SSD drive would be recognized correctly.

By the way: I am owner of Evo 850 SSD drive and as I remember, I had to update the firmware of the SSD drive to use it correctly in my other laptop (not the Toshiba device)

  • Update replacement Satellite L50 - B - 1 hm - SSD - DVD?

    What is the best configuration?

In the new tray dvd box, put / install 750GB hdd drive of my laptop
Replace the 750 GB HDD with MX100 Crucial 256 GB SATA 6 Gbps internal SSD 2.5 "
is it posible? These changes will have a big increase in the performance of my laptop?

    Thank you very much.
    Juan Carlos

As I understood your message; you want to put the current HARD drive in the Bay ODD (optical disc), then a new SSD drive in the HARD drive Bay.
    Is this right?

Well, first of all it s a good idea to replace the HARD drive with SSD drive. You will definitely get a boost huge performance. I did these updates in the past, and my laptop runs a lot faster.

Now back to the question on the use of the HARD drive instead of driving ODD.
I put t know if it will be possible since the laptop does not support the special feature of selection-Bay.
In the past, some other laptops Toshiba Tecra and Portege series supported these updates but I'm not very well on laptops Satellite m.

So in the worst case the HARD disk will not be recognized in the ODD Bay

  • Clasps to satellite L50-A-19N - hard drive

    Hello

I own Satellite L50-A-19N, seen the question I sometimes hear a clap louder or the series of several shots of the laptop.

Probably, it comes out hard drive.
If I find SMART for internal HD() is no problematic interest, record Cdystaldiskinfo status is evaluated as being healthy.

However the occasional claps don't look too normal for me, never heard these and with such a volume of my previous computers.

Is this potential precursors disc collapse?
The laptop is not too old, about eight months only.

I guess that this noise is coming from the HARD drive.

I had a HARD drive (as far as I can remember it was at Hitachi) in the past who created similar clicking sound.
But the HARD drive worked properly.

However, I created a backup of my important files in case the HARD drive would be crashed.

  • Satellite L50 - B - not clickable driver files

    Hello!

I need to download drivers for the L50 - B satellite series, but the driver files are not clickable. Please check the seal.

    Thank you.

Don't know why you were not able to download the drivers for Satellite L50 - B but I visited the Toshiba EU driver page and I did the same selection (see screenshot)

and I could click and download the drivers listed.

  • Satellite L50 - A - version of BIOS and SSD

    Hello world!

I have a question to put to you.

I would buy an SSD (250 GB) and replace the original HARD drive that gives me a lot of problems in terms of percentage usage and if it slows down the laptop.

In the Internet I found a lot of questions on my laptop (Satellite L50 series - L50-A-1CU) and SSD, particularly for the version of BIOS that could not properly recognize the SSD.

Does anyone has installed an SSD on this laptop? What version of BIOS is necessary for correct installation? I have the BIOS version 1.90.

    Thank you very much

    Enrico

Can you please tell us what SSD you want to buy? I mean the manufacturer and the model.

  • Satellite L50-B-1WF - IDE oucederomsurlesecondport mSATA SSD?

    Dear Toshiba

I wonder, is the Satellite L50-B-1WF has its IDE oucederomsurlesecondport mSata SSD? Some product sites request this. Or y at - it no mSata on this series either?

Second question: can I install a slim line internal drive BlueRay on it, instead of a DVD player?

The L50-B-1WF Satellite was equipped with the 256GB MSATA SSD that is connected to the controller SATA using a Committee of Exchange.

Second question: can I install a slim line internal drive BlueRay on it, instead of a DVD player?

I don't think as much I know this unit (or model) does not support slim select Bay feature.
But this is only my personal opinion because I never tested this extension on common laptop... but I used this slim select Bay adapter on my old laptop Portege... but this device support this feature... While it was possible to replace the STRANGE with a second HDD

  • Satellite L50 - A - 1 DG - my GPU was stopped by Windows

    Hello ,.

I'm French and I bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite L50 - A - 1 DG in December 2013. But yesterday, I got a blue screen and after I saw that my graphics card was stopped by Windows because it has problems:

    Control Panel Nvidia gone too:

I tried to contact Toshiba support, but it is impossible, given that my warranty has expired.

So I'm here ^_^, it seems that this is my last solution.

But according to you, what can I do? Do you think my GPU is really dead?

    Thanks for your help!

Back of my cams GPU, but yesterday Windows started on a new account

I need to create a new account (called "TheSuperLumberjack") and transfer all the data from my old account to the new I remember one day I already had this problem. First my GPU was arrested by Windows and then Windows started on another account.

    Here's how to do it:

    http://superuser.com/questions/66741...Sers-temp?RQ=1

I did, but it was complicated. The other problem is that I can't delete the folder from my old account and a new account named 'Administrator' appeared in parallel and I can't delete it as you can see from these photos:

Anyone know how to remove these locked folders please?

    Thank you!

  • My Satellite L50 - A - 1 7 no longer works

Just some time ago, I was playing a game with friends, but all of a sudden my screen freezes and the sound. Pressing the powerbutton or now in did nothing. Only, I opened my Toshiba Satellite L50 - A - 1 7 and disconnected the battery because it has not turned off.

    It does not start anymore!
    Can someone help me soon?

    Thanks for the comments.
It would be interesting to know if the problem will happen again if you use RAM in the first place again.

Anyway, the key is that everything is working OK again.
