Satellite L50 - B - 2 8 flashing screen + driver crash.

Hi all

When you work with my L50, sometimes the screen stops (black screen) 1 or 2 seconds and restard right after. Very like, remove power. Sometimes, I get notification that crashed the driver of the screen. The occurs when the power and the battery is almost full.

I try to install the latest driver for support Tohiba without effects...

Could you help me.

Thank you very much
Philippe

Sometimes, I get notification that crashed the driver of the screen

As I'm not mistaken the Satellite L50 - B - 2 8 takes care of two GPU:
-Intel HD Graphics 5500, which is part of the Intel CPU and
-AMD ATI Radeon R7 M260 is the external GPU.

Now, knowing that it would be interesting to know which graphics card driver crashed.
I mean the laptop can use either the Intel GPU or according to the settings... usually the Intel GPU ATI GPU is used if no application does not work who would need the power of the ATI graphics card... This saves the battery...

However, its possible to switch between Intel and ATI GPU.

    Hello world

I bought this laptop Toshiba Satellite L50-B-15U , and lately I have had this problem. Whenever I want to play a video on youtube, or most of the flash videos in browsers, they load and buffer, but used to play and are stuck at 0:00. After brewing the button refresh to several times, sometimes I can play a video as normal, but its similar to 20 times 1. I know that it's because of the driver audio conexant because with the standard microsoft driver, this problem does not occur, but the audio is * ty.

The strange thing is, when I try to look up from my laptop on the Toshiba site to download driver, I can't find the audio driver Conexant for windows 8.1, only those for windows 7.

    So far I have tried:
    -Restart the computer
-Completely remove the Chuck (reboot afterwards)
-Reinstall the driver from the toshiba website (windows 7 a)
-Try the other conexant drivers I found on the internet.

    Hello

According to specification for laptop, your laptop comes with Win8.1 64-bit which includes all drivers tested.
Have you noticed this problem since the day where we?
To be honest I can't imagine it, especially if that happen "lately.
Maybe you have installed something, an update that might be responsible for this.

Try to roll back OS a few days using the System Restore tool, just to check if the problem will be solved or not.

    > Please help, I don't want to replace the motherboard and then find it is not the motherboard

In my view it's hard to say what's wrong here.
You said that if you connect the external monitor, the display is OK means (in my opinion) than the motherboard and graphics card should be ok.

I think you should visit a next engineer downtown to get verified material sound much less expensive than buying the following parts.

  • Satellite L50 - B - 11 c - white screen problem

    Hello

I bought my Toshiba Satellite L50 - B - 11 c, PSKTCE yesterday and I installed Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit and all the drivers, but when I was installing AMD Graphics driver downloaded from the official site in the middle of the instalation a white screen appeared and it's like that since... Maybe you could help me to come back to life before I have to go back to the dealer ship it and so on.

    Best regards

    Stjepan? ideal

It's really strange question. I checked the Toshiba download page and your machine is fully supported for Win7 64 bit.

I hope that you can start your machine and enter the BIOS settings. Try to put once again to the default settings, then edit the Win7 installation settings and try again.

I do not understand if you see this white screen all the time or what? I mean the moment when you press the power button / stop. If so, I fear, it could be hardware related issue m. just contact your dealer and ask for replacement.

  • Satellite A660 - wen of video streaming VGA driver crash

Satellite A660 - my computer hangs and the VGA driver crashes and then recovers when I watch Youtube or any other streaming site. I think that there is a problem with VGA drivers. I have Windows 7 64 bit. Rarely, windows get completely frozen and must be started cold.

    Friends of ideas?

    Hey,.

Yes, sometimes I read on these issues here in the forum, but the solution is simply: update the display driver!

You can download the latest drivers for your laptop from Toshiba's official website:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

But before installing the latest version I recommend to remove the old first and restart your laptop. Then you install the most recent.

    I hope it works :)

  • Satellite L50 - A - display on the screen turned sideways

I have a laptop computer L50 - A Satellite. Almost, I disabled the touch-pad - the cursor is now worked by a mouse, but if I happen to touch the touchpad while typing, all kinds of things happen, and I'd rather it off altogether. My major problem is that tonight I rested my hand on the touchpad and screen unexpectedly made a turn at 90 degrees and Ow works vertically rather than horizontally. How can I activate my screen. Very difficult to get answers so that my head is screwing around trying to read the screen! Any help much appreciated.

  • Satellite L50 - A - 1EH NVIDIA Graphic card driver problem?

    Dear users,

    The day before yesterday I bought a Toshiba Satellite 15.6 L50-A-1EH model n: PSKK6E - 07Q05CDU

By far I love the device, but I get BSOD notice whenever I start a game (probably because Intel on Nvidia?). I have a NVIDIA GeForce GT M 740 and am running Windows 8.1 64-bit.

    The problem may be caused by the fact that I updated the Nvidia driver for the first time to use my laptop. I have uninstalled the driver through Device Manager and reinstalled the Nvidia driver of [here | http://www.toshiba.nl/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?service=NL&selCategory = 2 & selFamily = 2 & selSeries = 178 & selProduct = 7948 selSh 3983 = ortMod & language = 12 & selOS = 47 & selType = all & yearu pload = & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = a llMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = 24 & selectedLanguage = 12 & type = all & page = 1 & ID = 88288 & DISO = 47 & driverLanguage = 42]

But the BSOD came back. Yet once again, I deleted the driver currently installed and tried to install a new on the nVidia site itself. Yet again, my game crashes and I get an error.

    The error I get is:
    Unhandled Thread Exception system

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not that good at computers please keep this in mind.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

I found some people more in the Microsoft forum having the same problem with the error message: System unhandled Thread Exception

It seems that the nVidia driver compatibility problem between the driver and the software running (in your case the game)

Try to remove/uninstall the old driver in Device Manager, and then remove the Nvidia folder on the C: drive. Then, restart the laptop.

Try installing the latest driver nVIdia driver Toshiba UE page.

The same graphics card was built in different Toshiba notebooks like:

  • Satellite L50-A-19N - need to update driver nVIDIA - some games do not work

    Hello

I have the problem with drivers nVIDIA for my 740 M,
The thing is that I can not update drivers because any drivers I have install my core 580 MHz GPU clock drops everything at stake. But when I return to the first drivers that I had on my base GPU clock portable (326.60) is 1058 MHz all-in game.

The problem is that I can't run some games because I need to update the drivers.
Just some games do not work on 326.60.

I tried to contact customer support, but the page is not available. -.-'

    Hello

First of all, please note that use of the 3rd third-party drivers is at your own risk.

You must use the drivers supplied by Toshiba driver page because these drivers are changed and designed for mobile use.

This driver supports the overheating protection, which means that in the cases that the temperature of the GPU would rise to higher level, the driver would clock down the GPU to maintain the temperature at the lower level.

Of course, as I said above, you might try to test the drivers from nVidia page but it is at your own risk.

  • Re: Satellite L50 - has - dead on the screen pixels

I have pixels on my screen, the pc is still under warranty.

So I was walking, I cannot (and how) in contact with the TOSHIBA customer Service to get a new replacement screen?

In addition, I want to avoid sending them my pc everything, because I'm working on it every day.
I can't afford to spend a fay without a computer.

    Thanks in advance for answers

    Hello

In your case I would recommend seeking this document on the pixel LCD fault tolerance displays:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB9502LZ0000R03.htm

You will find information on the maximum allowed and can expose a type of defect pixel that display your Toshiba LCD. If you find defects of pixels, they are of types I, II, or III, you have the right to make a claim.

In this case, you must contact the Toshiba authorized Service provider in your country in order to make a claim.

But for a week, the problem disappeared.

    Thank you.

    Hi inf24,

It is difficult to say what is causing this problem, but such objects on the screen are normally associated with defective graphics card or wrong display drivers.
I initially update the display driver, but only use the driver from Toshiba. Other drivers are not pre-tested and from my own experience, I can say that they could cause problems.
    Check this box!

Regarding your CPU question I have no idea but if everything works at the moment it of pretty well! :)

  • Satellite A65-51762 Mobility Radeon 7000 ICG driver crashes

I have a Toshiba Satellitle A65 51762. It is operated for years without problems. 8 months, when running DVDShrink, DVDDecrypter, DVDFabDecrypter or WinDVD about every two weeks, the video will be suddenly fall to low resolution (640 x 480) and complain, but I could go on if it is DVDShrink, DVDDecrypter or DVDFabDecrypter. Reboot would bring it in high resolution...

He got worse and worse, happening later in 30 to 60 minutes after the start of the program. Finally instead of restart I get blue screen hard C0000415 error, then asked if I wanted to restart normally, which was the case.

Then I deleted all the software ATI, removed from the device, let WinXP reinstall VGA mode, and installed the updated driver. It worked fine for a few days and then started doing the same thing every two or three hours.

Could this be material? The ATI MOBILITY RADEON 7000 ICG chip? Something else? How does the DVD? DMA? BIOS? He will return to the factory or can I get chips?

It feels more like software. How can I check it out? Are you familiar with the problem?

Orly has already suggested he looks like a hardware problem and not a problem of display driver

I hope you can help me.

    I have a Satellite L50-A-170 for about a month.
Today, after 3 days of inactivity, I tried to turn it back on but you can hear noise from the optical drive and the noise of the fan, but the screen remains black.

  • Satellite A-L50-1 - distortion of the screen - restart is necessary

    Hi all

I bought a Satellite L50-A-1of 6 months and 3 months, when the computer is 'ON' and if I move, I sound suddenly get a screen with distortion and I have no choice but to restart my computer.

I thought it was a driver problem or an unstable version of windows, but as all drivers are up to date and I change anything in the computer, I'm starting to wonder if this isn't just a screen problem?

    * My set-up is described below :*

    Windows 8.1. 64-bit
    Intel Core i7 (2.40 GHz) - 6 GB
    Intel 4600 graphics card
    NVidia GeForce GT 740M

You have any ide or has anyone already encountered this problem?

    Thank you
    Miloris

    > I thought it was a driver problem or an unstable version of windows, but as all drivers are up to date and I change anything in the computer, I'm starting to wonder if this isn't just a screen problem?

You can perform a short test just to get more clarity.
Next time when this issue would seem, you could connect an external monitor just to check if the same distortions would be visible on the 2nd monitor.

If distortions are NOT visible on the external monitor, the graphics card and the graphics drive isn t the troublemaker, but probably the internal display module is affected.
In this case, the display should be replaced.

Where the distortion appears on the external monitor as well as on the internal screen, the graphics card or the driver could cause the problem.
In this case, you should fistly whole laptop back to factory settings, installation of the image of Toshiba using HARD drive recovery. After that, you should try to install the latest graphics driver.

If this procedure doesn't help, the graphics card must be verified, but it requires special software of diagnosis.

This would require additional assistance of service provider allowed that the unit is still under warranty (as you say it s old to 6 months) and therefore, should be set the laptop under warranty conditions.
