  Works fine on AC adapter / CC (Eve just a summary of the problem but because of Gentoo Linux, this used to work under Windows XP)

  Original battery was dead. Not only there is no charge, but with this battery and the AC adapter absolutely nothing, not a single LED. No need to mention that I couldn't turn on the computer.

  Bought a new battery at Eforcity.com
  -Replace: PA3465U-1BRS | 10.8V | 6600mAh (71Wh)

  With this new battery and the AC adapter plugged in, I have the green power led and lighted orange recharge. But even after 8 hours and the computer off of the battery did not charge.
  If I try to turn on the computer with this new battery in and the AC adapter is plugged in it starts to run, but after awhile it stops automatically, no question weather I start or enter the BIOS.

  BIOS is Phoenix v1.50 and reset the default settings.
  Also, downloaded the last OS independent 1.70 - WIN (bios - 20090121162419.zip), but is there a way to update without Windows?

  I tried to just unplugged and press the power button several times (last test, I continued pressing more than 2 minutes for what counts)

  I have clean the contacts with alcohol.

  Would it be because of a fuse or capacitor I could replace myself or something?

  GPU - Z recognizes even the 4400 HD which is also on this laptop as having a bandwidth 4 TIMES as big as the dedicated r7.

  Yes, I think you're right. I also found information that this graphics card has 2 variants:
  + 64 - bit and 128 - bit + DDR3 DDR3
  Radeon R7 M260 offers 384 Shader Processing Units, 24 UMT and 8 ROPs, on a 64 bit DDR3. Then the plant works to 940 MHz and goes up to 980 MHz in Turbo Mode, memory clock operates at 1000 MHz.

  Not very well if it could be a driver related issue but you could try to install other driver i.e ATI omega drivers and could check the performance of the GPU.
  But as far as I know laptop manufacturer recommends always using own drivers... especially the graphics card drivers... This is why the use of non-Toshiba drivers are your risk and peril...

  Landmarks were weak and GPU - Z indicates the card using a 32-bit bus while, for example gpu dedicated 5 years of my laptop cheap used a 64 bit one.

  GPU - Z is actually showing the integrated HD 4600 as having 4 times the bandwidth as the dedicated M260 R7.

  All the drivers are up to date according to the directives of the Toshiba utility.
  All references to the line card say that it works with a 128-bit bus or bus 64-bit for less expensive versions:

  In the past, that Toshiba gave driver webcam but for Win8 or Win8.1 this driver is not available more. Driver webcam is part of the operating system.

  This strange s that the two indicators should operate as follows.
  WiFi/BT indicator should amber lights when the BT or WLan is enabled.

  DC IN / battery indicator shows the condition on the DC-IN and charge the battery. White color indicates that the battery is fully charged, so that feeding properly.
  The LED would change to amber if the battery is partially charged or it s not charged.

  Anyway, if there is no feature of LED sign, I guess there must be a problem with the hardware of LED. I think it would be a good idea to check the unit by the authorized service provider.

• Toshiba Satellite L50 - A battery load but remains at 0%

  For the last two weeks, I had problems with the battery of my Satellite L50.-a. It remains at 0%, although it will load.
