Satellite L500-1WR - cannot use new Intel WiFi card

Hello

Purchase card Intel WiFi Link 1000 (112BNHMW) Mini PCI-E. Installed in place of the stock of Realtek. Windows has found the new device, I downloaded and installed the latest Intel driver (Windows 7 64-bit). But the Wi - Fi card does not see any wifi network (G ~ 12 networks and N = 1 networks around me), trying to troubleshoot-made the question by troubleshooting of Windows GET the message "on this computer's wireless capability is turned off" However the WIFI is enabled in the BIOS and the orange LED is lighting. I downloaded the utility of wireless control of intel, the Swith WiFI possible software option is just disabled (grayed out in the menu)

Laptop is locked for use only Realtek RTL8187SE? Or Intel does not support some "physical interfaces" to turn it on?
Is there a list of WiFI N Mini PCI-E adapters compatible with this laptop?

Thank you

Hey,.

The question is why you have installed another wireless network card? In my opinion, it is not logical because the preinstalled Realtek card is tested with your laptop and works correctly. In addition there is no difference between the wireless network cards

If the wireless network adapter is enabled, press the FN + F8 key combination. This can enable/disable the WLAN functionality.

    Hello everyone!
I'm Tibor of Hungary. I'm not a big forum user, but now I need a little help.

I have a Satellite L500-1GE and I use Windows 7 ultimate (64 bit). My problem is the following:
I can't use shortcut keys (FN + F1... 9 buttons) and so I can not turn on/off the wireless. IT always work (still wireless led burn). I downloaded the package value, hotkey, accessibility pilot but useless. In basis without a driver a few work application (ESC, F1, F5, F6, F7) but I set the value package nothing works.

The most important function for me, it's the wireless switching (FN + F8) because if it works always I can't use my ability to complete accumlator laptop.

Could you help me on this problem?

Thank you very much for your help in advance and wish you a Merry Christmas and good luck for the new year!

    Kind regards

    Hello

To use the FN keys, you need to install Toshiba Value added Package and maps Flash supports the utility. Make sure that the two versions are released for Windows 7 64 bit already. If you choose a version of Vista it does not work!

Here you can download the set:

  • Satellite L500-19Z - cannot use WLan because the driver has been removed

I accidentally uninstalled REALTEK WLAN driver and now I can't use the wireless installation.
I tried to use system restore to recover before the uninstall, but the system restore won't restore (tells me that anti-virus prevents it probably, but I stopped my loading anti-virus, so this isn't the problem).

    Hello

To my knowledge, this laptop supports the Realtek RTL8191SE WLan card 802.11bgn.
You can find the Wlan driver here:

    Hi whatnani,

If you have already restored the laptop back to factory settings and checked the correct keyboard layout the case is clear, your keyboard is faulty and should be replaced by a new one.

Satellite L500 is a fairly new model, so it must be covered by the warranty. Simply contact an authorized service provider and ask that:

  • Satellite Pro L300 - cannot use Intel ProSet WLan tool with Win XP

Hello! I have the same problem. I installed a XP SP3 and I can't use the * Fn + F8 * hotkey to activate the WLAN function on or off. Other Fn keys work correctly. The WiFi network also works, but it can be used by the built-in Windows. Intel ProSet or Atheros programs do not work. It seems "no wlan driver installed. The card is a Realtek 8187 B, downloaded the driver on Toshiba support original site. What can I do?

    > WLan also works, but it can be used by the built-in Windows. Intel ProSet or Atheros programs do not work
If the WiFi works fine using the windows zero configuration then the WLan adapter is enabled and don t get the FN + F8.

The fact is that your 3rd party WLan configuration tool doesn t work because your wireless network card is * Realtek! *

Intel ProSet ONLY works with Intel WLan card and the Atheros Wlan configuration tool can be used ONLY if your have an Atheros Wlan card.

You have Realtek so use windows own zero configuration WLan!

Your ad is quite confusing and I don t understand exactly what is happening. If I understand right, you cannot use Windows, but you have full access in safe mode. Is this correct?

In any case try to follow: start Windows in safe mode and try to roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore tool. Do the first step, check what happens and post comments.

  • After a clean install of Windows Vista, Intel Wifi card is installed and activated, but does not detect the network.

Wireless card not working after a clean install of Windows Vista

I did a clean install of Windows Vista Home Premium on my HP Pavilion of 32 bits. I've completely updated Windows via Service Pack 2. Given that the clean install, my wireless card, Intel (r) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN, was not able to detect all the networks. The Wifi card is listed under NICs as being installed and activated. the hardware on my laptop Wifi switch is set on "on" and the light is blue, indicating that the card is working.

I can connect to the internet if I connect physically my computer to the modem with an ethernet cable wireless, so the modem isn't the problem. Other computers can connect to the wireless modem, so my Wifi modem functionality is not the problem. The problem with my computer.

I tried to uninstall the Intel driver and reboot my computer with the generic driver. Install the driver generic, but my wireless card has not always worked. I then ran an update of windows, nothing helps.

I tried to install the "Intel® PRO /? Wireless and WiFi Link"drivers for Windows Vista (32-bit 13.1.1.1 the latest version and the previous version 12.4.4.5 32-bit) for the Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN directly from the Intel Web site at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Wireless+Networking&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+WiFi+Products&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Wireless+WiFi+Link+4965AGN. The map didn't always work with a driver.

In addition to the pilots, I also downloaded a tool of diagnosis of Intel (Intel® PROSet /?) Utility of WiFi wireless connection for Windows Vista 32 -? Bit). Said diagnostic tool the WiFi card is not installed or enabled, however, Device Manager maintains that he is also installed and active.

Is there a problem that causes Device Manager to say that all is well with the card, but does not map to realize that they diminish the radio signals? Everything's fine, diagnostic, it just does not detect networks around him. Help, please.

    Hello

    The on/off switch actually works?

Since it is an internal adapter to ensure it is enabled in the settings of configuration/F2 (BIOS/CMOS) often like you
Start - so look at the screen.

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

    Hello

Unfortunately it is not possible to change the graphics card. It s fixed/soldered on the motherboard and can't be exchanged. Sorry, but it is not possible to s.

But if you only need a better resolution of the screen, you can connect an external monitor. Here, you can work with a higher resolution if your monitor supports it.
