    Hello Diane,.

    Thanks for the reply.

Have you tried to scan Microsoft security running?

I suggest to do a System Restore and check if it helps. Please follow these steps:

    a. press the keys "Ctrl + Alt + Delete" together, and then click Task Manager.
    b. in the Task Manager, click on "File" and click "new task".
    c. type rstrui.exe in the box, and then click on ok.
    d. click on 'Next' and follow the on-screen instructions.

  • Stuck on the profile screen after Windows update

After that a windows update last night, my computer is stuck on the profile screen and I can not connect.  By clicking on the icons for different accounts does not bring to the top of the login screen where I can enter a password. The screen just flashes and the wheel spins for a while and then comes back to the profile screen. I tried to boot into the different security modes but same thing happens and I can not connect. I also tried to fix the computer and restart at the last known good configuration under boot options with the same results. Short to reset the default settings that will erase all my data, (which may or may not work) is there another fix?  It seems that windows is starting up, but just the login screen appear so I can enter my password.  I have windows 7 Home premium version.

    Hello

Please provide detailed information about your question. I appreciate the step by step troubleshooting, and pain that you have taken to resolve your problem.

If the Panel username and password is not displayed during logon and the problem persists even in safe mode, then the question could be if there is a corrupted file system or some third party conflicts.

I suggest that you want to run auto repair with installation media and see if it helps you repair system files. For the execution of the task, I suggest you to try the steps below and see if it helps.

    Method 1

When you use the recovery environment (Windows RE) to troubleshoot startup issues, first try the Startup Repair option in the System Recovery Options dialog box. If this does not resolve the problem, or if you have additional problems manually, use the Bootrec.exe tool.

Because you cannot start the computer, you may need to create a bootable Windows installation media, and then do an auto repair, and if this does not help then you try to restore your computer to the previous date.

Note: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

If you are using Windows 7 and you have the product key and then the link provided below might help you to download and create installation media if you do not.

Download Windows 7 Disk Images (ISO files)

    Method 2

If the problem persists, try to rebuild the BCD by using the Bootrec.exe tool. To run the Bootrec.exe tool, you must start Windows recovery environment (Windows RE) . To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Place the Windows 7 installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
    2. Press a key when you are prompted. Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then click Next.
    3. Click repair your computer.
    4. Click the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    5. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click command prompt.
    6. Type Bootrec.exe, and then press ENTER.

See the following link for more information:

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

  • Computer opens with my name on the Welcome screen after Windows Update.

Original title: opening session/Welcome screen problem

My problem started when an automatic update installed Windows Indexing and also, somehow, caused my computer to open with the Welcome screen with my name on it instead of just starting on the desk as he always did before this update. I wanted to or if necessary so I looked for a way to disable indexing. A web page was told to delete all except Richard (my name) account and the guest account. There was an account for Net framework so I removed it. Since then my computer wants to log on just "administrator." To change this, I was told to go to user accounts and change the way in which Windows connects. I did and now Windows gives me an error message when trying to login "administrator." I click the OK button on the error message and then it gives me the choice to open a session like me or comments. I chose me and then it connects. I want just XP to go directly to me.

I'm sorry if my question above seems confused. It's because I'm confused about this. I hope it's clear enough for someone to help him. I tried the Help Desk, but they charge I have no money. I felt that they should help because this problem was caused by intrusive and unnecessary changes to my use normal XP that Microsoft made without asking me to do or not.
    TIA,
    KK

Thank you.  I had to do things a little differently that you suggested, but it helped. I had to check the checkbox that users must enter a user name and password so I could choose my name and then after doing that I have disabled, users must enter a user name and password and click on OK. I left the White Hen of password window comes and then rebooted and it worked.

  • TM2 - Win7 hangs at the splash screen after waking from sleep and hibernation

I had intermittent problems with the mode 'sleep' on my laptop TM2T-2200 (Windows7 64-bit).  Wake up sleep & put into hibernation, the system will have problems with log-in intermittently.  Generally speaking, I'll be able to move my mouse cursor and enter my password - but pressing enter, the system hangs at the splash screen, requiring a hard - reboot (by pressing the power button).  Sometimes, I've not yet will be able to enter my password before it crashes.

The problem seems to occur more in energy saving mode, but it occurred in '' HP recommended Mode '' once or twice now, too.  It looks a lot like the problems reported for other models HP here:

Any suggestions?  Is it possible to know if a particular driver or a program that hangs?

Update: my problems seem to be associated with protection against malware of Comcast constant guard and disappeared after uninstalling the program.

    Choose one of these settings:

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

  • Debug build hangs at the splash screen after Update Beta 4

Since the update of the fall of November, debug builds Dev Alpha hang at the splash screen.

By release notes, on the basis of known issues:

"AIR debugger cannot display the IP host dialog box when a debugging session is initiated. This can cause applications to hang at the splash screen and fail to launch. (240219, 242986) »

A workaround solution is given for people running Flash Builder, where you explicitly give the Debug IP address host instead

in relying on the auto-discovery.  I use the command line flow (don't have Flash Builder), and my debug builds that were operating out of now drop from September to the start screen. -DebugHost 169.254.0.2, I added to my blackberry-airpackager command and the debug builds always hang.  Release builds signed with my symbolic debugging normally launch, as they did before the update to the decline in November.

For people who use Flash Builder and who know how to look under the hood and find the blackberry-airpackager command that distributes when you do a debug version: to debug this launch is built successfully

on a Dev Alpha with the November update, can you please put the blackberry-airpackager command line which

    Flash Builder is running?

Got a reply from them and they confirmed that the dialogue will be back. Let's make it a part of our test cases in the future.

    See you soon,.

  • The color faded after Windows update

    Hello

I had a quick search but am finding the interface of the somewhat difficult forum looking for, sorry in advanced if it is a double upward.

Recently, I noticed that images open in both photoshop and lightroom are washed-out (blue tint, as if you have the color space is set wrong).  However when I open the image in the image windows photo viewer looked perfect.

All images are set to sRGB in all respects.  When I open the images in photoshop from another machine, they are also very good, and I compared the config including color spaces of the two machines of... no difference at all...  It's just that a pc that has the problem, and on this pc, the problem only occurs in photoshop and lightroom - unfortunately the PC in question is my pc edition.

This problem has been completely resolved to roll back the update of birthday windows 10 - no other changes at all, I have believed it if I hadn't seen with my own eyes.  So I'm going well so far, but this is obviously not ideal.

Does anyone else have this problem?  And if so, were you able to fix it without uninstalling the update of windows 10 birthday?

In case it is relevant, here are the specs:

    i5 - 6600 k using onchip graphics

    32 GB of Ram

    SSD Intel 525 (OS)

SSD Intel 730 (installation of adobe)

SanDisk ultra ssd (work space, where images are edited)

Dell UP2716D, calibrated with the dell software and equipment, associated with the set of good color profile.

But what I don't understand is how the images can look good on the same screen using windows photo viewer, but look rubbish in lightroom and photoshop?

Lightroom and Photoshop are insured, which means that they use color profiles embedded in images and the color profile associated with a calibrated screen to faithfully show accurate colors. So if the display color profile has been removed or altered, they won't be able to display correct colors.  The Windows Photo app, on the other hand, is not color managed, so it doesn't matter what color profile is associated with the screen, since it won't use it.

  • Satellite A100 system goes to a black screen after the recovery procedure

I tried running the recovery CD, I received on my cell phone. the process perfectly, (I have only one CD, I don't know if I need a second). At the end of the process, I have the option to insert the second CD, or jump.
Because I don't have that one CD I have support on ignore.

I tells me that the installation is complete and I can restart my system.
Then I removed the disk and I tried to reboot the system. The system goes to a black screen (on which he indicates that Microsoft load) and then crashes. That was the problem I was facing before recovery.

Basically, the recovery process has not worked. I don't think I did something very wrong, unless I need a second CD. What could be the problem?

    Help me please!

    Hello

The A100 is one of the new series of laptops and AFAIK the image of Toshiba was placed only on a CD (DVD) recovery.
I think that the message and the possibility to insert the second CDconfuses a little.

In my opinion the black screen and freeze has nothing to do with the recovery procedure and the new installation if Windows OS.
Due to the fact that this problem has occurred until you have installed the OS from the recovery CD, I assume that there must be something wrong with the hardware.

But it s very interesting to know if the same problem appears after the new installation of Windows from the original CD of Microsoft.

    It's worth a try.

  • Tecra A8-ez8512 freezes on the splash screen after installing Win XP

Hi guys, this is my first post!

I recently had an opportunity Tecra A8-ez8512 as a gift that had Vista Business installed (and works perfectly!). As a passionate XP user, I quickly decided to format the WHOLE hard drive and then install XP Pro SP2.

After the format was successful and cleaned the entire hard drive, I put my xp cd in the drive and rebooted the laptop ready to select the boot cd.

But now it crashes right on the home screen with no small slider under ratings to select a boot device. I pressed on the key board, but nothing happens.

I noticed little black dots on the white part of the Intel symbol shortly after. What does that mean?

Can someone please give me some advice?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello

No idea what the black little dots on the white part of the Intel symbol might be a graphics card problem? ?:| who knows.

But I m bit confused said you you formatted the HARD drive first, and then you insert the Win XP disk in order to install Win XP
How you format the HARD drive without the use of the Win XP disc?

Secondly, it would be interesting to know if you can install the operating system using the Toshiba recovery disc.

  • I have an Acer Aspire 5732Z who gets stuck in a loop in the splash screen before windows loads.

When I run my laptop it will show the Acer screen with F2 F12 options then goes black with the cursor in the upper left corner and when windows should load it back to acer screen and will continue to do this until I got a smack on the side, and then it will load windows and run normally. I have created a disk image, bought a hard drive of ner, loaded my image on the new hard drive and it worked fine for a few hours to start and stop. Then he started to do it again and now I'm a little frustrated. Is there something I can do to fix this?

If you hit your device so it can start something is not properly installed in your laptop. This could be the RAM modules or your hard drive. You will need to open and check all of the components that are in any way connected to the motherboard.

There is another possibility that one of your components/devices of external periphery is cause of this behavior. Disconnect all external devices and check to see if that makes a difference.

    Hello.
I'll post a similar problem with mine. Here is something I've read elsewhere that can solve yours.

Unplug the cable from the main charger.
    Remove the battery if possible.
Press and hold the power button for 1 minute.
Leave battery and connect the cable.
    Turn on.

  • Windows blue screen after windows update FEB 10 2010 (stop: 0 x 00000050)

After updating vista 32-bit with a major update and updates security 4-5 and 1 optional update, my system cannot load. I tried all the mods that are associated with the key f8 (as safe mod ect), then I tried to recover Vista disc, and then the repair system and still no-go. I've heard a chance to eliminate these additions with a command promp (for example using the Vista recovery disc) on an xp system. Unfortunately I have 32-bit vista, so the command prompt will be different slicely. My original Os cd can only perform format c: install and preserve old files or loading drivers (which I did not), so I downloaded and burned the vista recovery disk. I can't tell you my system specs because I can't make a dxdiag because I can't before the vista loading screen. From what I remember, I have a pentium quad core 2.4, 4 gig dual channel ram (I checked the memory diagnostics and is ok), gm-33 mother card, NVIDIA 250 gts grafic, power supply chieftec 550 w.
