  There is unfortunately no drivers for Windows 7 32 bit so I think that the Satellite U500 doesn t support this operating system.

  Why you have installed another OS without checking the availability of driver?
  AFAIK U500 is pre-installed with Windows 7 64 bit then why you changed obsolete 32-bit version that supports a maximum of 3 GB of RAM?

  In any case, I think you need to get yourself to drivers so check other sites such as Intel, Realtek, etc. directly to get 32-bit drivers.
  Alternative, you can search the Web from Toshiba site for other models of laptops they support 32-bit and have similar hardware as U500.

  The Satellite L500 doesn t Windows XP, it supports only 32-bit Vista and Vista 64-bit. Windows XP is pretty old OS, it the past. Now it of Windows Vista or Windows 7.

  If you want to install XP you must collect the drivers by yourself on external sites, such as Intel, Realtek, and far.

  Win MCE drivers are not available for Satellite A100, only Win XP.
  Jasmin said, you can try to use the Windows XP drivers as the Win MCE is a WinXP with additional features.

  Satellite X 200 is a former model, to look for in * Archives *.

  But I didn't found Windows 7 drivers, it seems that this model doesn't support :(

  You can try using Windows Vista drivers. They are similar, and normally they should work too.

  Maybe you can give us feedback after installation of Windows 7 and the drivers you used. It would be interesting for other X 200 I think that owners.
  I mean a list with the order of installation of all the drivers. It would be really great :)

  I think it might be a little difficult to get Windows 7 drivers for this good old classic... The point is that Satellite A30 isn't designed for Windows 7, then you the way simplest are using Toshiba recovery disc where all the drivers and tools are already preinstalled.

  I can only find Windows XP drivers on the Toshiba site, so in my opinion, it would be the best choice for this laptop.

  I have a Satellite A100-812 with Vista 32 bit. I want to do a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit (I have now 4 GB of RAM). I looked, and there is no update available BIOS after 2007. I searched drivers 64-bit Windows 7 and cannot find Windows 7 32-bit drivers for this laptop, but there are Vista64 bit drivers available.

  I'll be able to install the 64 bit version of Windows 7?

  It seems that some drivers available, but not all. You can try the drivers from another laptop, e. g. Satellite A305D. Maybe the drivers are also working on your model it s worth a try! ;)

  Hello. You should get windows 7 64 bit. The 32-bit drivers are not available and do not think that Toshiba them will never come out. I always wait 4 months for a new display driver. Heh

  Who said that the SATA drivers in display driver package? This is only the case of the chipset AMD based models and AFAIK all Satellite U500 are equipped with an Intel chipset.
