Satellite L505-110 - can't watch HD or DivX movies

Hello

I have the Satellite L505-110. It has the graphics card Ati Radeon HD 4500, but I can't watch movies HD or divx effectively with him. There is always some blurring and there are bad image in movies or any kinds of videos. Especially divx and avi videos are very bad. Same mkv-h264 movies are too bad.

I have full hd tv, the result is the same when I connected the laptop to the TV. I put all available codecs, but the videos are always bad. ATI for Ati Radeon HD 4500 site has is no longer an update or software for this card and it says that we apply to our company of laptop.

Is there a solution for this video of this graphics card? Thank you very much for your answers.

Hi grknkr,

What operating system you have?
What software you use for movies?

To be honest I can t say much about it without seeing it in front of me, but I always use for each video file in VLC media player. This s really great freeware player that can play all video files.
Can test you it please with VLC?

My computer gurantee ended. If an ask for 64 bit cd will send a? I am a student and I have no money to buy :/ (Sorry for the bad language)

    Hello

Your only mistake is that you don't l l create original recovery disk. Now after the original 32 bit version 64-bit version is available on your laptop more.
You can order the 64-bit version, but unfortunately it is not for free. It costs about 30 euros.

Please visit https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx and you you can find all the information on the order of recovery disk.

I have this Toshiba satellite L505-s5990 with windows 7 32-bit and intel core 2duo t6500 and I think that I cheated, well I don think, I was mistaken, because when I buy first told me it has ddr3 ram and there no, also told me that I could add more RAM, because it might be expandable up to 8 GB of ram, because there just 3 when I bought and which I have now doubt, well, you might wonder why I do not do something like back or something like that, well the reason is that, at the point where I noticed that it was already too late (warranty and return policy) had expired already, I didn't know anything this either on the computers, of course, so now I'm stuck with it and I guess all I can do is upgraded to what I want if possible lol! Well what I want is run several operating systems to achieve I think that my laptop I could run virtualization and I would like to know what equipment I need to upgrade my computer to do and if it supports the upgrade? I would appreciate very if anyone of you could help me with this.

Wow.  All this without breathing a lot and you do not use Google? * smile * you should really get in GOOGLE.

    You have this laptop:
    http://www.toshibadirect.com/TD/B2C/retail-product.jsp?poid=452314

You can easily get up to 8 GB of memory MATERIAL:
    http://www.crucial.com/upgrade/Toshiba-memory/satellite+L505+series/satellite+L505-S5990-upgrades.html

Beyond that - well - what EDITION of Windows 7 do you have?  You have given version (Windows 7) and architecture (32-bit) but not editing (home edition Premium, etc.)

In the end - it won't matter much if Windows 7 32-bit came pre-installed.  Despite the ability of the machine to have 8 GB memory installed and the material see - the 32-bit version of Windows 7 you have is not going to use it somehow.  Somewhere between 3 and 4 GB is the most he'll see/use/give you access to.  It is the nature of the beast.

Also - if it came pre-installed you can just use your product key, download Windows 7 64 bits _ and install - because the OEM for Windows 7 licenses does not work like that.  You bought Windows 7 32-bit OEM and that's all you get.  Sales in the RETAIL of WIndows 7 license would have given you the ability to change as often as you wish between 32-bit and 64-bit.

Where did put you?  Well in my digging around, I'm fairly certain that you pretty much exactly what I linked to the first.  Windows 7 Home Premium, 32-bit, 3 GB memory, processor 2.1 GHz dual core...  You can probably do a little now - virtualization might need to turn on a few things in the BIOS to really enjoy it - but it would work probably right now.  Take the free VirtualBox there and install the OS you want ot - but you probably will have to be rare on how much memory you give virtual machine (1, maybe 1.5 GB at max.)

If you are looking to improve more...  You will probably need to invest in:

-Windows 7 Professional or edition full 64-bit
-the 8 GB memory referenced above
-a larger and faster disk hard

After that - well, it's a laptop.  Reality of what you can do starting to settle in.  The above improvements would cost you somewhere (from) about 350 USD.  Your Dual Core processor will probably hinder things - how - investment as a whole better system would be wiser.

  • Recovery problem Satellite L505-110 Win 7 64 bit

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba L505-110, Windows 7 64 bit Turkish and he began to slow down recently, so I want to recover windows 7, but in some Turkish forums, guys who have tried recover like that, facing a problem.

The problem is that Windows 7 has been set up on the computer as a 32-bit.
I had not given a dvd of the operating system of W? ndows 7 64-bit and he said that we could easily do our own recovery DVDs using toshiba recovery media creator.

I made 2 recovery DVDs, but now I'm afraid that I have Windows 7 32 bit if I recover Windows.
I bought this computer because it had windows 64-bit and I paid the price if I want to continue with it again...
It has been a year since I bought my PC.

What should I do to recover my operating system such as Windows 7 64-bit again?

Thank you very much for your answers.

    Hello

The operating system was preinstalled is WIN7 64-BIT HOME PREMIUM & you also got the 32-BIT DVD
Therefore, if you create the recovery disc, then the disc should contains Win 7 64 bit.

I think you should just grab the laptop using the recovery disk created and I think that the 64 bit, Win 7 must be installed.

  • Satellite Pro M40: Can't watch DVD-> DVD region code locked

    Hello

I know this has been asked before, but there must be a solution...

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro M40 with a CARPET * a DVD UJ - 841S drive. I used my 5 times to change regions, and now I'm stuck on NTSC. I read on this forum (and others) that it is simply not possible to unlock the region once the 5 times have exhausted.

Is it possible to copy the DVD (film) on my hard drive and watch it then?
    There must be a way!

Any information would be great, thanks.
    See you soon,.
    Matt Savage

    Hello

As mentioned it of not possible to unlock the DVD player on a legal way.
Of course, I found many sites that suggest that it of possible to unlock the firmware flash drive.
But believe me; It is not desirable and very risky!
You may damage the disc and then you can not read or burn CD or DVD media!

I put t know if it is possible to copy the DVD to the HDD in a simple way. I never did.
But it of possible to reduce the DVD to the smaller size, then copy it to the HARD drive.
For this procedure, I used DVD shrink. You can check.

  • Satellite A105-S2101 - can't watch DVDs with Express Media Player

I have this laptop Satellite A105-S2101, and the LCD breathed on me in two years.

Fortunately, I can still use the VGA and S-video output but it may as well be a desktop PC now. Anyway, I just wanted to add that because of this problem, no longer is I can watch DVDs with Express Media Player because it will not accept VGA or S-video as default is just my broken - up, good for nothing always blurry LCD anyway.
It's only when I'm in Windows mode can I switch to an external monitor.

The reason I'm writing is, if it is necessary to add anything to an EMP update - this is the time and it would be something to add. What the devil?

    Have you tried another player?
I prefer the VLC media player. He plays the most video and audio files, it s freeware and easy to use. Check it!

Have you changed something on your hardware or software configuration before this happened?
Maybe it's time to reinstall the drive Media Express

Can someone explain how I can watch TV withou any cables?

How long is my battery life is supposed to last me if I use the laptop for chech just my email and surf the net?

I don't know if you know how it works exactly, but if you do not have enough knowledge about all this I recommend you consult your dealer and ask him the same question. I'm sure he'll explain how it works exactly.

You may want to use antenna DVB - T, but the dealer is the right address for you. They have all the info you need.

  • Where can I watch or download full movies absolutely free and secure online?

good day microsoft! can I ask where I can download or if this is not possible, just simply watch full online movies which absolutely free and safe? I mean no membership fees or registration is not required, just nothing at all. I tried hulu.com, I've known in the web search but it is exclusive for the USA only. I'm in the Philippines. I tried asking to yahoo, but I can't get good answers. I know you might find my question unrelated to your business, but I still want to try my luck. Thanks in advance.

If you mean commercial films, you can't.

  • Satellite U305: can't watch video on the external monitor on Vista with Dynadock

    Hi mates,

I have a Satellite U305 running Windows Vista, I also bought a VGA Dynadock with HP 20 "external monitor.

I have uppdated all Dynadock readers (Audio, video, etc.) to the latest version, but DVD-video or MPEG video recorded with my camera is not possible to look at the monitor extended that in the main screen (laptop computer monitor).

For example, my DVD Toshiba drive works normally on the laptop monitor but when I transfer window extended monitor, Toshiba DVD Player stops to work.
Video does not work on the extended screen.

Is this OK or I did something wrong configuration? Is this a bug? If this is a bug, how to fix this bug?

I'm you worry because I plug a large external monitor to watch a few movies that I can't watch it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Nilton

I agree with the snipe of the user. The dynadock is simply not designed to transfer the enormous amount of data that accumulate to watch movies on DVD.
The USB ports are simply not designed for this
