  I understand that you laptop is not turning on.

  If the laptop has no power, other than the AC adapter connection indication, there is little that can be done.

  The adapter ring is HQ shows a white LED would suggest the adapter supply fine and offer pay-per-view mother, or at least the internal power connector. This means it is a flaw in the motherboard of the laptop and most likely requires a repair.

  You will want to check that the RAM and HARD drive are in place and connected, as well as internal power cable. You can do it by following your product Maintenance & Service Guide.

  Sound signal can be used as a diagnostic indicator. The computer may emit a series of beeps at startup if errors or problems. This series of beeps identifies a problem and is called "beep code".

  I just bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite A200 23W a few hours ago.
  I turn it on and let it complete the installation of Vista.

  After the installation of Vista finishing it asket to resturn laptop and from that moment, the laptop is "dead".
  After pressing on restart the computer (from Vista) computer turns off without problem, but he never did it again!
  After a few minutes of waiting, I tried to start it by pressing the power button.

  Now when I press the power button, I can hear the HDD work and most of the time until I see something on the screen of the laptop computer stops!
  Now, I noticed that both the battery indicator AND the DC IN light are hot flushing and stop Flash at times.
  Reading the manual, I guess that the DC IN indicator should Flash in all not well.

  I tried to uninstall the battery and try to start the laptop, but in this case I can't even listen to the HDD, commissioning!
  I try to unplag and replag (on the laptop as well as Jack) power cable but again no result.

  I don't know what the problem is here and, in my view, should not be so important to you. Contact your dealer as soon as possible and to talk with him. Explain the situation. You will get may be new notebook. Otherwise, please contact the nearest authorized maintainer and let check your laptop.

  2. just to unplug the AC power from the laptop adapter

  3. press and hold the power button on your laptop for 1 minute

  Yesterday I updated the BIOS, and after that problems occurred:

  To be honest, something like this should not happen. I really don't understand why this is happening. I have updated the BIOS on friends A200 and mine P200 and everything works fine. Here on this forum we can only speculate on this issue, but what you need exactly's professional opinion.

  This probably not help but install recovery image and check with the factory settings. Make sure you also on the lower side cooling fan is not blocked and the laptop can be cooled properly. If the problem persists, you should contact the nearest authorized maintainer and clarify this issue.

  Sorry, but I don't really know what you can do in this situation. I don't see any other way to solve this problem.

  Check if the quick start option is enabled, your laptop. Here are the steps:

  1. open the Power Options window. Use one of the following methods:

  A. press the WIN + R keys at the same time to launch the Run dialog box. After that, type powercfg.cpl , and then press enter.

  B. press the WIN + X keys at the same time to launch WIN + X Menu. After that, select Power Options.

  C. the Start screen and the Windows of type power will show the results, select the Power Options.

  2. click on settings , then choose change how the power buttons.

  3. scroll down and look for turn the (recommended) quick start under stop settings.

  4 uncheck the checkbox, and then click save changes.

  Note: if the option has said isn't here, scroll down and select change settings that are currently unavailable to change.

  5 restart your laptop.

• PowerEdge T410 won't do anything when you press the power button / stop.

  My work has recently retired this t410 server. It worked without any problems when he was arrested. I had to remove and destroy the hard drives from the system. After that, I was allowed to bring home for my own use. I installed a new sata drive and plugged into the power supply and a free sata port on the motherboard. I get nothing when I tried to boot the system. This version has the unique power. Power light only lights up when you press the test button. There is a single green light lit on the motherboard, while it is plugged. Apart from that, I have no response when you press the main power button.   I have not received the answers more so I think that this issue is ignored. So I'll let everyone know what finally happened. I solved my problem after a lot of electrical testing. I found a diagram of the arrangement of the power dell power supply pins and I made myself the best possible meter test. After several rounds of tests, I found several pins that did not have the right voltage. I bought a new power supply. I installed and replace everything. I plugged into the system and it auto fed on itself. I loaded from an OS and it works perfectly.

When I press the touch as well, the light starts to turn on but the screen stay black, hard drive not turn, I hear just a slight noise from the dvd player. It's to see, no logo No bios/uefi. After several pressing on (often using very fast) button on/off voltage and turn on the laptop, turn off, start the system. now, I wrote a matter of pension to toshiba, but since 10 days, I get no response.

  I used the same problem on my laptop (c660 - 11 p), try swapping the RAM, check if the ports are well (are they damaged) and clean them and also check if one of the rooms is not burned.you can also reset the bios by removing the battery, if nothing works not just switch the computer several times until it works (this not work whit mine ) who was of me can not help more :/ good luck

  You can set the default BIOS ONLY inside the BIOS access BIOS by pressing F2 or at the beginning of the initialization of the order

  But I doubt that this problem is related to the BIOS.
  Maybe it s just a simple bad luck that this problem happened exactly after change something in the BIOS.

  Try connecting an external monitor and check if you can see something on the 2nd screen.

  Hello, I have a problem with the SATELLITE L40-139

  the thing is when I press the power button / stop, hard drive led will begin to Flash, CD-ROM led is lit and the screen is black. I noticed that advise in the CD-ROM makes a sound ICT in the same way the hdd led flashes (when it flashes I hear a tick form CD, yes I unfolded any computer laptop).

  I can only say that I have connected my PC HARD drive and it's working., good fan is not working too, but I think it will start, after some time (as he always did)

  Notebook crash circumstances are now saying: that a year ago, he fell from 1 inch (such height ;]) I saw that the ribbon cable connecting the touchpad to the mohterboard was broken and my diidn can't start computer, I thought that there's a problem, but I forgot and left the laptop for more than 9 months (with hard disassebled and battery and cd-rom drive) and then I decided to try to turn it on.

  If you are unable to enter the BIOS (F2) at startup settings there must be some serious hardware problem.
  I recommend to contact your local dealer where you bought this laptop and ask for help, or you can contact Toshiba service provider directly.

  What you have tried to do is good but if laptop doesn t allow you to enter parameters of the BIOS something wrong here, and you need professional help.
