  Last week, I have a new Satellite L555 - 11L. It works well except that if I left the screen open, the pc starts in itself 08:20 every morning.

  I checked the BIOS settings, but I did not see anything like a regular upward trail.
  Wake on LAN is disabled, the alarm on the keyboard is also disabled. I don't think it's a thing of windows 7.
  Any clue?

  Is maybe Microsoft Update set to install every day at the moment?

• Satellite P200D - 11L sound problem - sound gets distorted

  I bought a Satellite P200D - 11L a couple of weeks and when I got it sound was perfect.
  There was good amount of bass and distortion-free when I turned the volume to 100%. Harman/kardon speakers are cool :) But now the sound is distorted. It started week ago.

  When I try to listen to music (in windows media player and winamp, there is no difference) it is very distorted through the laptop speakers, but on my helmet, it is good. Also, same song/songs are normal on my desktop PC.
  I don't know what the problem is so please help. I tried to restore windows with Toshiba product recovery disc but same problem is still there. If the speakers are in some way damaged, because on my sound headset is OK? And Yes, I told you on my sound headset is OK, but it is a little bit different than it was when I got the laptop...

  When I got laptop sound had more bass, but now when this problem occurred, its also a less serious (bass is almost imperceptible).

• Satellite A500 - crackling sounds and blue screen

  Hey everybody.

  I bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite A500-19w about 4 days ago (today it is Sunday, March 7, 2010).

  I had the sounds of crackling of my speakers which have been mentioned so many times in the forums, no real solution.
  I also experienced the crash of the blue screen, that's already happened 7 times while I was not strongly using my newly buy laptop.
  I'm not looking for a repair or a replacement, because I find it quite unacceptable to have to think about the errors, faults & fixes as much as the laptop is brand new.

  What I want is a refund, but I'm not sure on how to do it.

  I know that Toshiba has some sort of refund policy, but if someone can tell me exactly how it works, because I want to get rid of my laptop as soon as possible (I will not buy any more portable Toshiba, especially since I had some similar problems with my Qosmio f30).
  If someone can give me some guidance, because I don't want to be mocked or used and cheated out of refund.
  I bought my Toshiba in the Middle East (perhaps refund policies are different here).

  If you want to pay off your laptop, you should talk with your computer store where you bought it. Only the can repay your laptop and not Toshiba directly.
  Of course it is also depending on the country where you life, but normally you can pay within 14 days I think. So in your case I speak with the seller or give them a call. They explain how to do this.

  But let me give you a little advice: regarding your problems with the crackling sound and blue screen I recommend that you contact an authorized service provider or ask a new A500 (this should be possible if you have only 4 days).   Hello everyone. Last week I updated my iPhone 4 iOS 9.2.1. Since then, I lost the Lock Sound and click on keyboard.

  I checked both were always enabled and then performed a reboot. It did not help.

  The phone otherwise works as expected: sounds and vibrations are working perfectly, so this is (probably) not a hardware problem. I didn't have any problem with the phone (phone calls, cards, applications etc) so I guess that the new version of iOS responsible and properly installed.

  Anything else I should look for?

• Satellite A300-20 b and cooling problem

  I have Toshiba Satellite A300-20 b and I have a cooling problem. Since I have this laptop I ve been tracking the temperature of the CPU and found out I got the maximum temperature was about 80 c. The strange thing is that the cooler starts only when the CPU reaches this high temperature, if it isn't the cold remains off.

  Another weird thing is that once it is not blocking the cooler starts. It stops only if I restart or shut down the computer. Is this normal? Should I worry about something? Thank you very much for your answers.

• Sound and Audio problems

  When I start my HP 1000-1433TU Notebook PC sound and Audio stops and becomes unable to play videos. How can I get the proper functioning and stay the work as well as the videos become playable? until now the only option that worked to stop the PC and tuning it back on, but the questions happens again within 10 minutes.

  Try the following.

  Open windows control panel, open Windows Update, select "View update history" in the left pane and then select "Installed updates" link in the next window.

  Locate the KB2962407 update, right click and choose uninstall.  Once completed, restart the computer, open windows control panel, open Windows Update and select "Check for updates".  You will see the update that you have uninstalled just offered once again - right click and select "Hide update".

  After that, you may or may not need to remove and reload the Audio driver for your laptop.

  You are able to use the external USB keyboard?
  Connect the external keyboard and check if you can select the recovery of HARD drive menu option.
  In case of malfunction of the internal keyboard, using the external USB keyboard should work.

  But if you will not be able to perform HARD drive recovery, even if the external USB keyboard is connected,
  I recommend you use the recovery disk.

  Have you created the recovery disc in the past?
  Do you have any other Microsoft Windows installation disc clean?

• Satellite Pro L300 (PSLB1A) touchpad and keyboard problems

  One of my school L300 keyboard and touchpad stopped working after a months of normal use. • Satellite A30: Card sound & Chipset driver problem.

  I'm about to get REALLY crazy! I would really appreciate if someone can help me...

  My story is:
  I lost all my CD recovery & pilot who gave me in 2004. But I had to format my pc this weekend due to many reasons of system (bugs, unable to connect to the net, etc.).
  My first step was to Toshiba site, I downloaded all kinds of drivers for Satellite A30. And I had XP Professional SP2 from my friend and installed it. But after completing all the facilities below is the result:

  (1) NO. SOUND :(

  2 points to mark on the 2 points that are a) multimedia sound controller and b) PCI Modem in Device Manager / other devices.

  (3) Chipset installation error message: Chipset Intel (r) utility installation requires platform chipsets supported by the supported operating system. Read the section of the system requirements in the Readme.txt for more information.
  So far I checked the forums my chipset has not been installed correctly, but when I try yo install the Intel chipset 895PE (csutil-sa30-xp - 5011015.zip) I downloaded download address http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com, it gives the error message and some people says to install the drivers in good order as, first install XP with SP1, and then install utilitt chipset, and then install SP2 etc... But it seems not to be easy for me...

  Really, I can repeat my FORMAT again, but in what order process...

  Just to inform that my problem has been resolved in itself :)
  I reformatted my laptop and installed new computer the original XP Pro SP2 by following the instructions.

  His problem was solved automatically, no installation utility chipset required...
  The noise problem was probably caused by lack of update Microsoft KB835221 for SP1 and KB888111 for SP2, which then was resolved with the XP of more recent origin...

• Satellite Pro P300-19 q - keyboard problem

  I bought a * Satellite Pro P300-19 q * laptop and got the shipment yesterday. I am happy with the features and performance of the laptop. It has a keypad as well. The problem is the key board sinks and rises all the keys the keys (lower-right). I feel like its not secure properly. The key to this place Board feels fragile and irritating during use. Even some of my laptops at low prices to friends do not experience this problem. I can't live with it like that because it's a new laptop.

  Satellite Pro P300 I almost three months now and I can confirm that keyboard on this area is not stable on the other side, but it moves when I press with very great strength. Typing normal I do not use so much force and I have very sensitive keys. Just give a contact, and the symbols are on the screen. I use laptops for a year now and type on the computer keyboard is different as standard desktop with large and robust keys keyboard.

  To be honest, I don't see any problem here. Maybe you use to force much press. If you check the mechanism under the keyboard protects it's so small and sensitive, and you can press the keys very gently.

  So for me there is no problem at all. If you think that the keyboard should be more service contact stabile and explain the situation.

  I have a Toshiba Satellite L450 - 18 d, which was purchased in England in May and then sent to me to Portugal, so I chose Portuguese as default language for my keyboard. However, for the last two weeks, I had this problem: since I installed Microsoft Office 2007 and the Office SP2 update, I had this curious situation with accents - instead of see only 1 focus whenever I click on a button, I see 2 accents (with one click).

  Something like this:
  "(1 click); ~ ~ (1 click); ´´´ (2 clicks) and so on. This is * huge *, _because we use a lot of accents in portuguese_ - for example, I should be able to write + português + (written in Notepad) and not + Português ^ ^ are +!

  Now, this does not occur when I use Notepad, but happens to all other programs (Office, Works, OpenOffice,...) and also in my browser (Mozilla Firefox). Is it possible that I can manually remove or manipulate focus associated with a specific key? I tried to change the default language of Brazilian Portuguese and uninstall Office 2007, but the problem remains... It would be associated with an update about Office?
