Hello

Maybe the problem of fan or simply dust and debris to prevent fans quietly turn
If the fans are dirty, the jet of compressed air can be useful.
I clean my fans from time to time using this spray
It s the easiest method to remove dust.

On the other hand, your fan may dysfunctions that perhaps little rolling ball inside the module is defective in such a case, the fan needs to be replaced.

  • Satellite L650 - 13 M - high sound under the touchpad

    Hello

When I work with my laptop, I hear a sound of high light (as you may know an insect repellent, just a little louder). It's not very loud, but it can be really annoying. If you listen closely from below, you can see that it comes under the touchpad. Does anyone know what makes this healthy and how I can possibly solve the problem?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

It is difficult to tell what this sound can be, but I read on similar sounds from the faulty power supply.
To be honest, I m not a L650 owner but maybe you should get in touch with a local ASP which could check the hardware and could find a reason for this high sound ground.

    Good luck

  • Satellite L650 - 1 M 0 sound fall

    Hello

A few days after Windows and driver updates (not sure which ones where installed) I began to recognize the sounds of cracking when listening to music or watching videos.
I used the DPC latency Checker to see if it is a driver problem and it seems to be.
I tried to, but I had no success.
I've seen a thread about this problem http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=235636
and I installed the intel driver, but the problem persists.

I don't want to reinstall my system, I'd be happy for every idea in solving this problem

    Thank you

    > A few days after Windows and driver updates (not sure which ones where installed) I began to recognize the sounds of cracking when listening to music or watching videos.

Have you tried to put the OS point of time before drivers or windows updates have been received?
I think you should do that in order to check if the problem is really related to updates.

In addition you might also update the sound driver once more.
I would recommend this uninstaller first, and then install any new version of driver sound

By the way; The laptop seems to support the audio chip Conexant CX20671-11Z

  • Satellite L650 - video but no sound on the TV with an HDMI cable

I can't get his play through the TV connected via the HDMI cable. In the Middle the "digital output" option is not active and cannot be configured. The message is 'not connected '. The State of the unit on the screen of the driver (Conexant Audio Driver AMD HDMI codec) properties is "(ce périphérique fonctionne correctement)."

Have you tried to connect the HDMI before starting the system, but no help. Can anyone help?

    Hey Buddy,

    > In the Middle the "digital output" option is not active and cannot be configured
Generally if you have connected the HDMI cable you should be able to configure the Digital Audio (HDMI) under sound > playback.

If the option isn't available I guess that it s something wrong with his driver. In your case, I'll try to update the audio driver and the latest version can be downloaded on the official page of Toshiba.

  • Satellite L650-116 - strange associate of HDD and fan

    Hello
Please be patient, read my topic (I am Polish and I don't know very English).
I bought my laptop (L650-116) in September last in Poland. I had no problems yet. This is my first.
When I work on a computer (I'm a student) I can hear strange sounds from the HARD drive (something like: "hrr") from time to time. No matter if I play the game, writing texts or to do nothing. I'm worried about this sounds... should I send my laptop to the Toshiba centre in Poland?
It is difficult to describe the sounds I hear from time to time... it sounds like the HARD drive head rubs oneself with some dishes HDD or as turn off then turn on hard drive... as I said... It is difficult to describe... Please help me. Two weaks without computer will kill me :) I tried to search for bad sectors - the hard drive is clean. I defragmented files system, without result. I changed supply plan of the standard Eco - without result. Formatting partitions, reinstall Windows 7, x 64-, without result. I'll be very happy if someone can tell me what to do.

    With respect,
    Michal

    Hi Quadman,

What program you used for the scanning of the HARD drive?

You can use the program mentioned by Akuma or install HD Tune. This program can scan the HARD drive for bad sectors and there is also a portable version that you can run from a USB key and don t need an installation:

  • Satellite L650 no sound from speakers or phones

I.ve just had my first problem with my Toshiba Satellite L650 - particularly serious, because I rely on it for all my music playback!

Normally I can plug and on the headphone jack on my stereo, speakers cut out and I get HiFi glorious while it is inserted, and the speakers onboard bounce when I delete.
Today, I have plugged as ususal and listened to a few songs.

I unplugged (to move the laptop) and the internal speakers not to bounce.
I reconnected the headphone jack and there was no sound from my stereo (finger test confirms the work of jack stereo).

I checked all the app and the main volume - level in good health indicators were present.
In the Device Manager, all reported correctly and counter activity took place during the test routines of the audio device for both speakers and headphones, but no real signal to the phone jack, or speakers.
"Update drivers" who fired the message I; m to date.

I uninstalled the drivers of "High definition Audio Device", and scanned for hardware changes after - drivers were automatically found and installed successfully, but still no sound.
In desperation I dug an old USB-audio gadget, plugged and his fate that perfectly well by the USB port.

Can anyone suggest what I can try to force an internal connection between Microsoft Sound Mapper (i.e. the string digital things that seems to work very well) and outputs real material?
This machine is not an old duffer and this should not be the case!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Hmm, I doubt that the headphone is faulty because in this case, the internal speakers of the laptop computer s should work properly.

Please go to Panel of-> sound-> the Read tab.
    The speakers as default device?

In addition, please see the Audio Manager HD Realtek located on the control panel.
On the right, you should see a few options (in my case, that they are marked with a folder icon). Check it!

  • Satellite L650 - no sound from the left speaker

Hi, I just bought a Toshiba Satellite L650.

For some reason, the sound is only coming out of the left speaker and no sound comes out at all of the right speaker. Also even if I increase the volume of the sound still seems very low. I have reviewed and played around with the settings and same speaker balances without success.

    Help, please.

    Hi Rick1968,

Theoretically, the left speaker could be faulty and needs replacement.
What you can do is to check the sound settings where you can test different balances. Also make sure that its latest driver of Toshiba official Web site is installed.

By the way: are you running pre-installed version Windows from Toshiba?

  • Satellite L650 - no sound external subwoofer, from speakers

    Hello

I recently acquired a [Toshiba Satellite L650-14F | http://se.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/ro/product/Satellite-L650-14E/1086065/] laptop comes with no OS.

    I installed Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit on it as well as all the pilots involved, including the [last driver sound | http://se.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?LNG=27&service=SE&selC fulltext = 2 & selFamily = 2 & selSeries = 178 & selProduct = 537 6 & selShortMod = 1000 & language = all & selOS = 30 & selType 4 2 = & yearupload = & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = allMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = all & selectedLanguage = all & type = 42 & page = 1 & ID = 74 199 & DISO = 30 & driverLanguage = 42].

The audio chipset seems to be Conexant SmartAudio HD CX20671. However, when I connect my Logitech 2.1 audio system (2 speakers, 1 subwoofer) via the headphone jack, I have no sound in the subwoofer, only the speakers.

If I right click on the sound Manager icon in Windows 7 and select "Playback devices" then Conexant and set up, I can only see the Audio channels: stereo and no other options. It's 2010. HD audio has been around for some time now. I sincerely hope that Toshiba did not have a modern laptop with only stereo support.

Any help to get the subwoofer will appreciated.

    Hi Skello,

What Logitech speakers, you have exactly? Which audio port do need?

Have you already tested the speakers on another computer to test if the subwoofer is working correctly?
    All cables are connected correctly?

Also check the Windows sound settings. Change the settings for desktop speakers as Akuma wrote.

  • Satellite L650-12 q - Sound shifted off the coast to the left

Yesterday bought a Satellite L650-12 q. I'm happy but I listen to a lot of music on my laptop with headphones. I noticed that the sound is panned slightly to the left, rather than spread evenly across left and right side of my helmet. It is through several types of music - my mp3s, youtube clips, etc. The only thing that was really 'central' is a track that is practically mono (if not actually mono). I listened to the same track on my old laptop on my mp3 player (with the headphones even) and there is certainly a change in the left earpiece.

I know he has no problem with the headphones themselves, and I'm discount a questionable connection - so could be how the sound is processed through the helmet (through the speakers on the laptop, the sound seems to be evenly spread.) and if this is the case, what can I do about it?

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you
    Steve

    Hi Steve,.

All first that it would be interesting to know if you can see this strange behavior on the internal speakers or only if you have connected headphones.

There are several reasons for this dysfunction:
-Wrong settings of the sound (-online check sound settings)
-Sound driver works does not properly (-online driver sound Update)
-Question OS and/or driver (=> reinstall Windows using recovery of HARD drive)
-Headphone output port is bad (-online must be checked by a technician portable).

Can you please tell us what drivers have updated you and why? What was wrong with the old drivers?

When you start your next portable speakers test time using preinstalled Toshiba diagnostic tool and post the result here.

What about the temperature of the laptop. 80 c is high temperature but still not critical, and if your mobile phone is placed correctly on the desktop and the cooling fans are not blocked I think you can continue to play the games.
Before the games close all unnecessary applications and uses laptop computer on power plan to high performance.

  • Satellite L650-12 q - Flashcard issues new

    Model: Satellite L650-12 q

    Hello.

In 2010, I thought I had solved this problem.
    Please see this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/message.jspa?MessageID=212557#212557

Unfortunately, I seem to have similar problems again, even if I don't remember to make changes that could have been the cause.

I tried everything suggested on other threads I've seen, including the value added package download, but the still flashcards do not appear when I press the "fn". I tried to add a shortcut to TCrdMain.exe in my "start" menu, and appears to start/Configuration of the system in the form "TfcRst" (ticked), it is listed as "unknown manufacturer.

I also checked that in 'Parameters of Flashcards' the 'disable all function keys' is unchecked.

Often, when I start/re-start my computer, I get the message:

+ "Windows cannot find"TCrdMain.exe". Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. » +

Then when I see the shortcut in the "Startup" folder disappeared.

I also copied a shortcut to TfcRst on your desktop in order to restart the flashcards. When I click on this, the flashcards reappear properly when I press the "fn". Even when I do not "restarted" cards flash in this way, however, the key "fn" still usable in conjunction with the function to mute sound and brighten up keys and brightness; It's just that flash cards do not appear in the upper part of the screen.

Obviously, this isn't a significant and insurmountable problem: I can always use the functions of flashcard without the flashcards appearing and, by clicking the shortcut on the desktop, can restore the appearance of the flashcards if I want. I find it interesting that this situation prevails and am wondering if anyone here can offer an explanation or compensation.

I would be very grateful for any advice.

I have no explanation for this, as for many other issues using windows systems.
It is possible that the system is confused maybe something wrong with the registry, who knows

The error message: "Windows cannot find"TCrdMain.exe". Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again"is very interesting and in my opinion, it might appear because"TCrdMain.exe"is not found in the folder or access has been locked by an other anti spy, firewall or antivirus software

I also recommend to choose the last PPV has published new series.
Clean the registry with CCleaner and reboot the device.

But I'm scared, finally, you will need to retrieve the device to factory settings to repair m
