Satellite L650 - 15G - upgrade to Windows 7 Professional or ultimate edition

Hello

I have L650 - 15G with pre installed W7HP.
I want to improve this, Pro or ultimate.
As I come from UNITED Arab Emirates, Windows any time upgrade is not possible. Is there another way to upgrade?

Also the Toshiba provides no upgrade option?
The upgrade is also very expensive * 120 pounds *.

Is there a cheaper option?

Hi dude

See this Microsoft page:
http://www.Microsoft.com/UK/Windows/default.aspx
Here you can find details on the upgrade to Windows 7.

> Also Toshiba provides no upgrade option?
To my knowledge, it was possible to upgrade Vista to Win 7 operating system and these updates were provided by Toshiba in the past, but is no longer available again

So, in my opinion, you can use the update opportunities provided by Microsoft.

  • Want to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional to ultimate... is it possible?

I looked at many Microsoft websites, which try to direct me to get Win8, I don't want to right now. I got a lot of 'system issues' and if an upgrade to Win7 Ultimate can help. However, I can't know where and how to do it. No 'official' sales, it seems. Not sure I can trust sellers on Amazon-the market place after reading some of the user comments. Someone did he do this upgrade? Suggestions welcome!

If you experience system problems, upgrade to Windows 7 edition integral will not necessarily solve this problem, you must solve the problem that affects Windows 7 Professional now until you can upgrade ultimate.

Could you identify the problems you're having with Windows 7 Professional.

Regarding the upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate, as online anytime upgrades are no longer available, you will need to purchase a license of Windows 7 Ultimate upgrade.

Version upgrade - Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Upgrade

If the license for Windows 7 Ultimate, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Ultimate edition at the request, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate files the stored settings and programs.

I have a problem that occurs only with the battery, when I press the power button, I hear the fan starting, lamp wireless, then the lamp light power but not the lamp of HDD, 2 to 3 seconds the laptop closed. If I pressed the power button / stop again after that or I pressed again while the light from the lamp of the hard drive and it will start normally. This never happen when I connect the charger with the battery or when I use it with the adapter only.

I changed the battery of the Toshiba, but no way. I changed the power management, made adjustments in power management bios (version 1.8 after I updated), disable, enable certain features in Device Manager but no way.

The more strange that many times it starts normal and other times it does so. Also, this may manifest itself sometimes in long boot times, which means that I sometimes hear fan, see wirless, power lights up and after 10-15 seconds, the hard drive turns on and starts.

According to specification for laptop, your laptop computer came with preinstalled Win7 64 bit, so you must use the recovery for the installation of the OS image, but I assume that you didn't create drive recovery, right?

I put t know which device, it can be, but you can try to identify this unknown device, following the tips outlined on http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=78
Thank you for posting the result and we can help you find the right driver.

As a general rule you don t need some third party software part. All you need to do is install utilities, tools, and Toshiba drivers available al. Important is to install according to the order of the proper installation. If you need assistance you are welcome.

You n t need some updates to the driver. All you need to install at the end are updated Windows but important updates only.

  • My laptop camera image on the upside after the upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

I have a laptop Asus G50Vt - X 1, which is a 64-bit computer. It had Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit installed on it and the unit worked properly with him. I ran the update of Windows 7 Advisory on this matter and he said I could upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit. After the upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit the images from the camera are all upside. I contacted Asus about the problem and they sent me the drivers updated, but the images are still upside down. Pourrait Windows 7 cause this problem as I know that it worked fine under Vista?

I also noticed that my dvd/cd player and external hard drives don't stop the execution after that I have quit an application. When this happens, I can't eject the cd or remove the drive from the computer.

Are you trying to connect wireless or ethernet cable? Have you checked your connections are enabled? If you use the wireless option, you use the hp or windows connection manager?

If you use the wireless you will need to enter the connection as a new SSID and key details

  • 2710 XPS (mid-2012) Core i7: upgrade to Windows 10 Professional

    Hello

I wonder if anyone with XPS 2710 (mid-2012) Core i7 has successfully upgraded to Windows 10 professional?

If so, it would be useful to know how long the Windows 10 Professional upgrade works and if the hits include a clean install.

Would appreciate any further feedback/suggestion on the upgrade of this model.

    Thank you.

As far as I KNOW, anyone who could save a 2710 XP from Win 10 black screen of death, returned to their old version of Windows. So even if they were able to recover, they don't run win 10.

If you need to win 10, you can sell this PC with Win 8.1 and not risk trying to upgrade. You get at least a few $$ out of a nice working system.  If you upgrade to Win 10 and it fails...

  • Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade to Windows 7 Professional without updating any time for remote desktop

I have Windows 7 Home Premium and need remote desktop.  Can I install Windows 7 Professional (which I already have the disk) on top of Windows 7 HP and keep my current data?  Note that I don't update it any time as each post seems to use this term.

Windows Anytime Upgrade is your only option if you want to keep your personal files and settings. You can't directly in place upgrades using the disc.

Please note that you can not install Windows 7 Professional if the license is currently in use on another machine.

If the license for Windows 7 Professional, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade to Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Professional on demand, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional your files, programs and settings retained.

Please note that the Express upgrade does not support OEM, MSDN-Academic, Volume (the student faculty licenses) license. If you are in possession of all these brackets, you will need to save and do a custom clean install. If you want to do it, please backup your Windows 7 Home Premium or according to edition currently installed.
