  According to specification for laptop, your laptop computer came with preinstalled Win7 64 bit, so you must use the recovery for the installation of the OS image, but I assume that you didn't create drive recovery, right?

  I recently bought a Satellite L650, there seems to be a problem with the accelerator, GL or lack of one. I tried the page download driver intel but they refer me to the driver from toshiba support page.

  I have up'ed display settings to maximize the quality, I downloaded the drivers to display more recent Toshiba support page.
  Can someone point me in the right direction as seems to be a common problem, I google it there are a lot of similar questions but no real solutions and driver from Toshiba support page was not a huge amount of help.

  TOSHIBA offers only a very old catalyst I think it s 1.11, but I'm not sure. The main objective is to get a new display driver is newer than 8.723.2 because the catalyst is only the user interface, but I need new drivers with optimizations better.

  I have can´t install the drivers of AMD official because TOSHIBA does not allow it and the driver can´t install correctly (only installs it CCC). However there is also a tool of change for the drivers but I do not want to cause its too risky. I really need help.

  What should I do?

  Hmmmmm... It can be a little complicated. I ve checked your model of laptop and Toshiba download page is not supported for Win8. I've checked some other models with a similar hardware configuration, but they are not supported for Win8.

  I don't really know what to say. If you created the recovery disc (Win7) install Win8 and check how it works. Some tools specific to Toshiba and utilities that you can download other models in the hope that everything will work well.

  In any case, I think you should stay on Win7.

  in nov. 2010 purchased this computer and just noticed that he was getting low on battery very quickly and reloaded everything as quickly... 10-20 minutes... and he also said something like "consider changing battery.

  so I noticed when I removed the battery there is 9 "pins" enter the computer battery... .the 2 on each side of the 9 are longer... and the 5 in the middle are (obviously) shorter than the others.i

  I have this normal on the L650?
  I checked with I (a p300 - all pins are of equal length, and is the same for a NB550d-114)...
  So I wonder if the unequal length of the pins are my real problem?

  I checked the manuals and web-photos... .no luck

  Have you bought genuine Toshiba battery Toshiba service provider or you bought a battery at a 3rd party retailer?

  I have a Satellite L650-11R(that's what's written on the box) and my problem is that I found the latest drivers for my Mobility Radeon HD 5650 series and when well even as the site of AMD says that this driver is mobility graphics cards when I want to install the computer tells me that these drivers support not my graphic instrument and if I go to Device Manager the only card that appears is the VGA! So now the only drivers that I can install are outdated (8.753.0.0)
  And im wondering why I am condemned to use these wwhen out-of-date driver clearly there's more recent avalible?

  And I don t understand why it s a problem with older drivers. Not always the most recent driver is the best.

So I tried the usual driver updates, then I tried to download a generic Intel driver but I don't know which one is right.

  Once I have selected * chart * then * laptop graphics driver * s then I get the choice between 2nd or 3rd generation processors, accelerators and mobile chipsets, which none means nothing to me and I'm stuck.

  It seems that some people have managed to circumvent the built-in graphics card driver and update manually one this way, once you know what you download and then unzip and so on...

  Of course, I can waste my time.

  As far as I know Toshiba has offered some BIOS updates for all models in the past so I think this will happen for your laptop model too but what will be new in this update of the BIOS is not easy to say.
