  I own a C850D satellite with Win7 64-bit, and for several days, the system became extremely slow and inadmissible.   I guess the Win 7 update has changed the Boot Manager and this is why this option does not appear in any case.
  The Toshiba Recovery disk that you have created can help you restore the laptop back to factory settings. But this means that the HARD drive all over would be formatted again and you will lose the Win 7 again.

  To be honest, I've never tested it, but I think that you should be able to use HARD drive recovery, even if the partition D has been changed, but that's just my opinion.
  So before you change anything on the HARD drive, I recommend you create the recovery disk!
  The recovery disc helps you define the laptop (and also HARD drive) back to the factory settings if anything went wrong with the HARD disk or similar

  With recovery disk, you are on the safe side you know
