Satellite L670D-13F 17.3 inch laptop - screen display problems

Hello.

I got my Satellite for nearly a year, and in recent weeks, the screen has been compromised. Turquoise/Blue thin line across something are white or tinted white. I hope it's nothing related to the virus, as I installed McAffee.

Any ideas what this could be? Is this a known issue?

Thank you.

Hello

According to your description, a thin line appears on the screen. Right?
Well, I doubt that this issue has something to do with the software or virus
It seems that the problem of material: I m thinking display or graphics card problem.

Connect an external monitor to the computer and check if the same think that the line would be available on the 2nd monitor.
If this will not appear on the external monitor then it would mean that only the internal display is affected.

    Hello

My nice newish L670D-13F is currently unusable and I wonder if he has a virus?

When I turn it on only about a millimeter of the Toshiba logo flashes upward, then appear in the start bar and the logo of Microsoft but a blink jittering way then all color disappears from the screen and remains white for a few moments then the screen goes black and the windows tune time and four colored globes appear but a very distorted way then all the colors in the new screen fades goes black then the slider appears, but wobbly extended way, screen fades etc etc.

This happened a week ago, but when I went there the next day he behaved normally and advised me to use the system restore which I did and the computer performed normally for a few days but then it happens again but has not started up normally and is now unusable by pressing the keys has no effect at all.

Sorry for my description, I'm sure you can guess that I am not at all "grumpy"!

    Thank you very much

    Hello

To me, it looks more like a hardware problem and not a virus problem.
Maybe the graphics card begins to malfunction. Check the laptop to an external display.
If the same graphic question would be available on the external monitor, then it would mean that this could be a hardware problem; Maybe a graphics card problem.

  • Satellite L670D-13F there Blue Tooth connectivity?

Hi, I'm a complete newbie to this and I was wondering if my L670D-13F laptop has Blue Tooth, built in?

It says on the quick start that it depends on the model purchased.

As the quick start covers 4 models it is not really me, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I confirm what writes Feliks. Your computer laptop doesn t have Bluetooth module inside if you need an external device for BT

USB is the good solution especially small compact Ultra Mini USB 2.0 Bluetooth adapter (BT U100).
Google a bit and you will find a large number of these cards and they are not expensive.

    Good bye

  • Screen display problem. See below for details. Impossible to get original Windows display fills it fullscreen display.

My laptop closed spontaneously mode 256 colors and the "battery".  When I tried to turn it on again it would not respond.  I ended up using Ctrl-Alt-Del to stop it completely.  When I turned the computer back on it gave me a message on the "color mode" bubble and the screen looked "not normal."  I clicked on the bubble who said it would be 'restore' or something to that effect to the screen.  When he finished, I had a smaller screen display large icons.  Then I went into Control Panel and tried to get back to my original windows desktop and after much research, etc. have a "smaller version" of a desktop with the margins side black (approximately 1 inch wide).  I can't my screen fills the entire screen, regardless of what I do.  The option "stretch" in advanced settings is not the case.  What can I do?

  • HP 15: New 15-inch laptop screen is begging to fail

I love the performance of my laptop HP 15 of 4 months with the warning that as of today, all of a sudden, I noticed that the top 2 inches of the screen from left to right, are "spotted" with marble whitish discoloration, opaque to scratches and swirls.

The machine is in my air-conditioned office, never fall, abused or even moved. There is no moisture problem, which I mention because after inspection, discoloration looks as if it might be a moisture problem (actually, I grasp at straws here trying to make sense).

    Any advice?

    Thank you!

Since it is a relatively new machine, instead of hurt for hours to fix yourself, why not just let HP repair at our expense!

You must contact the HP Customer Support directly so they put you in contact with HP Tech Support to see what they can do on the diagnosis and repair of your machine remotely.

I did recently, and HP technology was able to remotely access my PC on the Internet and to make the necessary repairs.

  • Satellite M40X Screen Display problem

My Satellite M40X has a black vertical line which occupies 20% of the screen on the left side. The rest of the screen shows a full view. Change the display settings makes no difference, and there is no mention of this error in the manual. You don't know whether a problem with the LCD screen or a problem with the adapter and drivers. Wanted to check if someone has experienced something similar and can advise you.

    Hello

    Check using an external monitor.

If the same vertical line would be seen on the external monitor, an internal graphics card problem may be possible
In this case replace the defective

Since the GPU is a part of the mobo, you need to replace the motherboard that can be a costly affair

  • Laptop HP Pavilion dv7t after connection then blue screen display problem

My phone displays the Windows 7 login screen very well.

After I login, I see the desktop and icon and it flashes a couple times with a gray screen.

Next, I get a blue screen and restart the computer.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

The fact that it works well in Safe Mode, more points to a problem with the video chip.  Unfortunately the video card (called a card or a built-in chip) is physically soldered to the motherboard.

    That's what I would recommend.

As you can access the safemode, make a copy of backup all your important files, etc.  Then try to reinstall the operating system or your discs recovery or Partition of HARD drive - if you still have the same problem, you could be quite certain that it is not software partner.  As I mentioned earlier, if you could possibly connect the laptop to an external display and you still get this problem, you could then be confident that the problem is with the video card - in this case, see the link below.  The page does not mention your particular model, but it can be useful in communicating with the guys.

  • Black screen / display problems

    I have a MBPR13"(early 2015) which I think has integrated graphics intel 6100.

I've been running windows via bootcamp on the mac since I bought it, first with win8.1 and for a year or two, win10. A couple of weeks, however, windows crashed and wouldn't start. I can boot into safe mode after 3 failed attempts at normal mode, but I couldn't diagnose the problem. I took the opportunity to carry out a complete new installation of OSX and Windows 10.

However, while OSX continues to work very well, Windows 10 still will not work. It installs successfully, and then gets to the point where the wizard Bootcamp installs all the drivers - it seems to be ok until that display then goes off - I guess that's the point where the display drivers are installed. Windows is still underway, but all I get is a white screen.

After much mucking to plug and unplug the screens I can sometimes get an image on an external monitor or on the built-in screen. The computer screen does not fill the screen (bottom 25% of the screen remains empty) and windows cannot detect both screens at the same time. In any case, in a few seconds to lift an image on the screen, windows crashes and restarts.

I suspect that it is a driver problem, probably related to a recent windows update - note my new installation is based on the current windows (as of today ' hui) 10 ISO download available from microsoft, so I guess this includes all applicable updates and I have no way to drive to a previous version.

Can someone from apple what comments can you do on this point, hopefully identify that it's just a driver problem and update the bootcamp windows software support for my MBP so I can get Windows successfully facing up and running? Otherwise, any other suggestions on a fix?

    Thanks in advance

    Mike

Updated - uninstall the display driver Intel 6100 temporarily solves the problem (of a point - the works of laptop display once again, but of course without hardware acceleration or connectivity external monitor), although 10 windows automatically reinstalls the drivers a few seconds later, resulting in the return of the issue.

I was able to continue to use the laptop only by disabling the graphics card. However this clearly is not a solution, but simply points to the fact that the display driver is the issue.

Everything apple comments? Surely, this affects a lot of users and not just me? Is an update to the driver on the way?

  • Satellite X 200-disc HARD on XP and display problems

    Hello
    I bought a laptop computer 200 X (PSPB9E) and I have some problems.
How to install XP on this machine?

While trying to install Windows xp says it cannot find any hard disk.
So where can I find drivers sata for this machine, or how to fix this?
When do you think that the display drivers will be available for my laptop (I have a gt 8700)?

    Best regards, Marian

I had the same problem on my laptop during the installation of XP. So I had to use a SATA F6 driver during the installation of XP, XP detects the SATA HDD controller.

Take a look at the drivers for the other new models such as the Satellite Pro A200 and P200 for the SATA F6 driver (I think its called driver Storage Manager or Intel Matrix Storage)

You can also find compatible nVidia drivers here as well.

  • T61 button on-screen display problems

Hello, I had a problem with my T61 and I was wondering if someone here could help me. My laptop recently crashed, having the blue screen on startup, what reinstall me Windows Vista again and everything. I managed to recover all my files and everything seems to be back to normal with the exception of a few things. First thing that annoys me the most is that whenever I use my volume buttons on the keyboard, the volume up and down works but does not appear in green text, as before, say what volume number. In addition, my silence affects only the volume mute but not to reactivate the volume later. As the top and down the volume buttons, shortcut keys Fn + Home and Fn + end to increase or decrease the brightness of the screen work, but do not display the text on the green screen. Another problem I have is that my blue ThinkVantage button next to the volume buttons does nothing. Finally, my biggest battery icon appearing any more in the toolbar to the left of the clock and icons of small image next to the clock. I hope that these problems can be solved through these forums and I thank very you much for your help!

Sweet, I got it fixed. I thought I ran an update of the system already but obviously not. Thanks for your help!

  • 9860 screen display problem

I have an application in OS 4.5 which works well in all the OS versions up to 7.0... But I am facing a problem of alignment strange screen only device 9860, which is a pure touch device...

The keyboard is always on and my application is displayed in a very small area in the Center, although I use setExtent to use the entire screen...

    Can someone help me!

I think you've hit the old problem of "compatibility".  This allows to occur when applications were compiled in pre OS 4.7 and then run on OS 4.7 (storm devices).

If you go to the properties of the Application I think you leave compatibility.

You can just recompile you app OS 4.7 or higher and use this for all devices that you have OS 4.7 >.  Stick with the 4.6 OS updated version for other devices.

  • Slow start on Satellite L670D

I have a new laptop Toshiba I bought in March this year.
The model is a Satellite L670D-13f. The problem I have with it is it takes 10-15 minutes at least to get started towards the top for internet access. Typing does not it's like a reaction with delay, you must type pause to allow the computer's time to recognize what has been typed, it's very frustrating.

My internet speed is very good, so I do not know what causes the problem.
Can you give me any advice?
    Thank you

Slow start is typical for new laptops. What you need is the optimization of the OS.
Check it please, but a thread very interesting on the optimization of the BONE - http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=134947

It's older A300D, but the principle remains the same.

  • Satellite C850-13F - collection problem

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite C850-13F purchased as new and system recovery problems.

It came pre-installed with Windows 7 - foolishly, I forgot my Windows password. Then someone I know think they would help me and installed Windows 8 (a trial version) on this laptop.

I don't like any of Windows 8 and want to remove it. I'll reset everything to factory with Windows 7 settings, etc.

I would be very happy for any help or advice to achieve this. Thank you very much.

Did you create the recovery disk / way in the past to make this recovery process?

If not, visit this page and there you will be able to order this support:
    http://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

The recovery media will set the laptop in the same condition as at the first day of the purchase.
