Satellite L70-A-154 and WIN7

Hello
I plan to buy a [Satellite L70-A-154 | http://www.toshiba.be/fr/laptops/satellite/l70a/satellite-l70-a-154/], but it is possible and easy to install Windows 7 Pro?
Thanks :)

Hello

I ve checked the download page of Toshiba on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp and I must say that this model of laptop is supported for Win7 64 bit and you can find drivers, tools and utilities there.

Win7 installation should not be problematic.
Please note: when you purchase your beginning of laptop preinstalled original OS and CREATE a RECOVERY MEDIA before you start to install Win7.

It is very important.

If you need assistance with installing Win7 let us know.

This installation order is present to win 8.1 and you will find on the page of the driver Toshiba UE (installation instructions)
It seems that these setup instructions for Win 7 are not available.

    > And another thing: for some devices are two different drivers being given, how do I know which is the correct?
Check the device that is present in your model of laptop.
How to do? The procedure is described here:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=78

    > And last not least: How can I disable the touchpad?
You must install the driver of pad touch (Alcor and Synaptics)
Then, you can use the Fn + F5 function key to enable or disable the touchpad.
You can also disable the touchpad go to Panel of-> mouse-> device pointing (or Advanced tab). In the settings (or properties), you will find the touchpad options and also the ability to disable the pointing device internal.

  • Satellite L850 - 1 HR and Win7-cannot install Display Driver

    Hello

I reinstalled my laptop Toshiba Satellite L850 with old Windows 7. I installed all the necessary drivers. After you install the display driver in the device under display adapetrs Manager I see the message that the adapter is not working properly because the system cannot load the drivers.

On Win7, it has also installed SP1. I don't see why drivers are not loaded correctly. Does anyone have an idea on what could be the problem?

    Thanks, Mateja

    Hello

The Satellite L850 - 1 hr is equipped with a graphics chip from ATI Radeon HD 7670 M
I guess that the ATI driver is not installed correctly.

On the page of the driver Toshiba UE especially in Satellite L850 PSKG8E area, I couldn't find the Win 7 driver download.
But I checked the drivers available for all series of L850 and I found the AMD display drivers.

You should do this too. Choose the series of satellites L850 (short model No. Select all) in the driver download the form and you will get all the available drivers for Win 7 and Win 8
AMD display drivers should be included too.,.

  • Satellite A210 - 10 c and Win7 - SD card no longer works

Hello, I have a question. Maybe someone has a solution to the following problem:

I have the model Toshiba A210 - 10 c. I replaced the RAM to 4 GB and now run a vanilla install of Windows7 ultimate 64-bit. System works now very fast and reliable. The only problem is that the SD card is not detected. Does anyone know where to find the driver for Windows 7 64 bit for it. I probably only go back to 32-bit SW more just to get a pilot. A driver for a newer model would work?

Thanks for your comments - Rainer

    Hello

Is the card reader for SD card, already recognized in the device properly Manager?

I can understand you without downgrading to Vista 32 bit is no option for you because you need an OS 64-bit for the use of all 4 GB of RAM.

But not don t worry, you should try the 64 bit Vista driver as Timox wrote. Usually the Vista drivers also work on Windows 7. If not, you can try Windows 7 64 bit to another laptop as Satellite A300 model. It should also work on your model. :)

  • Satellite L70-A-139 - SSD upgrade

    Hello

I have a Satellite L70-A-139, and I want to spend my HARD for one SSD drive. I already opened the back to see, and there is a label that saids "only 7mm.

The ssd I want to buy is an EVO of 840 SSD 250 GB.
But that one is 6.8 mm in height, the it will give installation problems?

    Thank you

I don't think so. Remove the two HARD drive mounting screws and disconnect the mounting of the HARD drive to the connector on the system board.

While the hard disk onto a flat surface and remove the HARD drive bracket.

To build again SSD shouldn't be complicated.

I hope that you have created a recovery media. If this is not the case, do. This recovery media, which you can use to install the original version of Windows that you got with your machine.

  • Need help with installing Win7 on Satellite L70-A-12W

I bought Satellite L70-A-12W with preinstalled victory 8.1 two days ago... I have no recovery of win7, but I have Win7 64 Bit DVD new.
I would like to install win 7. I follow the instructions concerning the closing down, on Bios (I have version 1.3) safety boot is disabled and the boot mode is MSC mode.

I did a recovery on USB media if something with is wrong. Earn 8.1 I installed Paragon Partition Manager 14 (free version) and see the Partition Table. It UriPattern like this:
    1 partition - system - 1-GB NTFS (Partition of Service);
    2. partition (no name) - 100 MB - it's the gray color.
    3 partition (local partition) - 128 MB;
    4 partition C: (win 8.1) - Go 920 - NTFS drive.
    5. partition - recovery - 10.1 GB - NTFS (Partition OEM Service).

I would like to keep evrything what is, if possible, and instead og Win8.1 install Win 7 ultimate 64-bit (which I have). And after than that, resize this partition of 100 GB and make a second partition private for my data - partition D: - for example.

I did things in the BIOS and win7 DVD and got error massage: Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT Style partition...

I found a solution to clean the disc in the BACK, but I'm not sure that I have with this procedure will delete oll data disc. I'll guarantee loos e if I do this... If all other partitions will remain instead of C--> I can always make backup returns with media recovery with win 8.1 and hopes to keep the warranty.

Now, I don't know what I have to do...

I would just have win 7 on my laptop with minimal change to the partition table and all the partitions instead of C (where now is win 8.1).

    Could you please help me...

    Hello

The question is: why you want to keep the present partitions on the HARD disk.
Using two systems Win 8 and Win 7 on this laptop?

The fact is that if you want to use only Windows 7, it s not appropriate to keep the old partitions on the HARD disk.

Secondly, you already have the Toshiba Recovery flash memory stick.
This recovery media allows you to return to the factory settings.

This means that recover the laptop using this memory flash USB stick recovery would again create the same partitions and install the Win 8.1 System.

Finally and above all Windows 7 supports 4 primary partitions as primary partitions are applicable to the tables of partition MBR and partition table MBR allow four primary partitions.

After you create the primary partition 4th Windows system will accept only the volumes 'Dynamics' (logical drives). You must create an extended partition containing many logical partitions.

However, if you use a table of GPT partition that is supported by the 64-bit Windows versions, you can configure up to 128 partitions and you need t differ between "primary" and "extended" partitions

In addition, the GPT partition table also requires the UEFI BIOS.

  • Satellite L70-A-139 - guaranteed zero when removing the cover for the RAM and HARD drive

    Hi all

And at the back of the laptop, there is a cover that is fixed with a screw.

Wil I void the warranty when I unscrew and take a look?
I want to upgrade my HDD to SSD.
The motherboard supports Sata III: D.

    Thank you!

No, the mandate must still be valid.
There is a removable cover at the bottom of the unit as shown here:

    Hello

I recently bought a new computer laptop Satellite L70-B-126, delivered with Win8.1 preinstalled.

However, a number of programs that I use regularly does not work on any OS newer than Win7, so I decided that I wanted to make my PC dual-bootable, with Win8.1 and Win7.

I bought a way license key Win7 at the time where they could still be obtained formally, and ave downloaded an ISO file, installation media (DVD or USB drive) can be created.

How can I install Windows 7 on this computer to create a configuration of mlti-boot with pre-installed Windows 8.1?

    Markus Gelbmann

First you must create an additional partition on the HARD disk for installation of Win 7.

In addition, you will need to disable the secure in the BIOS boot option, because where the secure boot option is not disabled, you will not be able to boot from external sources.

The BIOS mode should be also defined in UEFI MSC mode
