Satellite L750-16Z new DVD player

It keeps track of the post "Reader of DVD Satellite L750 - 16Z erratic behavior".

Dvd endless reason disc clicks have been resolved by turning off the Toshiba PC Health Monitor from startup in msconfig.

Now, if I go into Windows Media Player and play a .wmv file saved, the DVD drive clicks when a .wmv file is normally played only the first time. I think this may have something to do with the settings in Windows Media Player like VLC seems OK. Any ideas?

I could try to completely uninstall the PC Health Monitor - but before you do, I noticed that my version is 1.7.9.64M, but one on the Toshiba site is 1.7.4.64 and it doesn't seem to be a 1.7.9.64M to download for my model, in which case I wish to reinstall at a later date.

In the meantime, I turned off the DVD drive in Device Manager. I also wonder if it is possible to disable the DVD from the BIOS drive? This isn't an ideal solution, but should record the disc in the long term.

Not sure about this but it could be related to WMP if it appears only using WMP.

I guess that's the same version, however, on the page of the Toshiba driver you will find no more version that preinstalled on your laptop. so you will be able to always download the latest don t you worry about it you can uninstall this tool ;)

PS: DVD player can not be disabled in the BIOS

  • Satellite L750-16Z - nattering DVD ROM the start/Update OS

Just bought this laptop and it's a relief to have something new, finally.

I was wondering if it is normal that the DVD player comes on before the BIOS screen comes on. He kind of did a little click in/out good, I've heard some Toshibas and not others. The order of the menu boot F2 is 2. USB, 3.ODD, 4.FDD, 1.HDD, 5.LAN.

Also I was wondering what to do in what concerns the upgrade to Windows 7 Professional, I have a copy that I purchased when Windows 7 is released, but is not SP1 and this notebook is SP1, so I'm worried that the upgrade with my version may cause me a problem.

This trigger is normal, and you can hear it on all models of laptops. Then n t worry not about this.

When you buy the laptop, you'll get preinstalled the operating system as part of the recovery image. You have also allowed for it. Important is to create recovery DVDs discs. You can use this disk for recovery image installation and you can use it so often desired.

When the disc is created, you can do whatever you want. You can install own OS, you can upgrade from the existing version of the OS. No problem at all.

If something goes wrong and you want to have factory settings again, you can use created recovery DVD and install the original Toshiba recovery image.

  • Satellite L750-16Z, bigger new HARD drive need

Now I need to buy a new internal HDD for my laptop and I would like to buy one that is at least 1 TB. What is the maximum capacity drive that I buy for this laptop and are there restrictions on manufacturers/brands should I buy? Are there good internet sources for this?

Also, I imagine that most portable hard drives are SATA now.

Thanks a lot for any advice.

No one answered it in 2015. Nobody knows the answer please?

Is a 1 TB SATA HDD good for my laptop model (Satellite-L750-16Z)? Can I get a bigger car? Is SATA the right one?

  • Re: New DVD player is not recognized - Satellite 5200 801

The old DVD drive no longer works, so I bought a new DVD player (SonyNEC Optiarc AD - 7593A).
But the system does not recognize the new drive at all.

I can not boot from the CD and in the hardwaremanager, there is no CD/DVD.

But the drive works. If I put a CD in, you can hear how he turns upward.
If I put the old drive, it is recognized in the hardwaremanager, but the reader no longer works.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    > But the drive works. If I put a CD in, you can hear how he turns upward.

It says nothing! You can hear the rotating disc because it s connected to the laptop and it s operated.

The BIOS is important! Your new CD/DVD drive is recognized in the BIOS?

If not, then you have purchased NOT compatible CD/DVD player!

I think that the master/slave/c-salt settings are not compatible with the laptop and so the CD/DVD drive may not be recognized.

  • Mode from standby/hibernation missing on my laptop Satellite L750-16Z

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L750-16Z. So I had a lot of material on an old hard drive, I had need so I put my old Hard drive in my new Toshiba & installed all the drivers I could find for the model L750 /.

The only problem now is I n ' have no sleep / hibernate options. They are grayed out.

Can anyone suggest how to get this working? Or maybe there's an ACPI option that must be changed in the BIOS? Would be appreciated if anyone has the suggestion

To be honest I didn t understand what have you done with HARD drive but the fact is that you are missing some basic as display driver drivers.
I'm afraid that you must clean OS install so I highly recommend you to install original recovery image (original version of OS) m that you got with your laptop.
    You have recovery media?

  • Satellite Pro A10 - updated DVD player

Hello. I bought this laptop with a DVD player, but upgrade to a DVD - RW so that I can burn DVDs. Anyone know if it is possible to buy an internal DVD RW burner drive for this model of Satellite Pro or should I just a USB external DVD burner?

    Thank you

    Hiya,

You can certainly replace your DVD drive with a new DVD burner, but you will need to make sure that you get a new device with the same form factor (physical dimensions) and also one that is on the characteristics of good connection (master, slave, or C/salt).

I suggest that you only contact your nearest ASP to check compatible DVD burners.

  • Satellite L750-1ME - CD/DVD in every 4-5 minutes click on...

    Hello.

    I have a satellite L750-1ME.
This is a new, I bought 2 weeks ago. All is well, but the cd/dvd-rom 'clicks' in every 4-5 minutes.
Not open, but by a click. Why? I scan with antivir, nothing...

It is a hardware failure or run something in the background?

    Thank you

    Hello

Are you sure that this clicking noise comes from the CD/DVD drive?
    Maybe it s HARD drive.

My HARD drive clicks from time to time, but it of ok I guess in my case click's product head of HARD drive so that it is moving in the right position.

  • Satellite P105 carpet * a dvd player does not work with Win 7

    Greetings,

I need an upgrade on my dvd to my vintage Satellite P105.
I want the possible fastest dvd burner right now because I'm a fan of film and keep them in digital memory.

    (1) first should I get an external drive or can I get the best performance with an internal dvd replacement of a reseller of parts or Toshiba?

The problem is when I've upgraded to windows 7 things have changed. I lost my sound, but that solved using a driver inherited Visa as apparently the sound 'Council' on the laptop is for Vista only. Then I found the dvd player which is a mitsu * an internal UJ-450 does not or is extremely slow in saving films, records or files. The available recording software seems also planned for Vista performance was acceptable. Even the dvd burning software does not work.

    (2) so my question for multimedia specialists is: what should be my next move?

    (3) should I go outside and confront the neck of the bottle USB or

    (4) to make the speed of the bus on the internal dvd?

    (5) given an internal dvd is preferable, because it's exactly a dvd-ram/IDE as it is currently, or some other configuration of bus.

    (6) most importantly, what dvd burner would give me 18 x speed with current programs like ConvertXtoDVD and did as a symbol external or - better - as an internal dvd replacement or my slow drive currently?

Of course, if you could give me a model number and direct me to the sales it would be much appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

    > 1) first of all I should go for an external drive or can I get optimal performance with a dvd replacement internal to a coin dealer or Toshiba?

You should know that not all internal STRANGE machines are compatible. You will need to use a not compatible and supported and such device could be ordered in a local ASP.
But it s more expensive as an external CD/DVD device so you could also choose an external that would be compatible with all computers and laptops available.

(> 2) so, my question for multimedia specialists is: what should be my next move?
As mentioned. Good option would be to buy an external burner drive ODD

(> 3) should I go outside and confront the neck of the bottle USB or
External device are compatible with all computers and are less expensive

(> 4) go to the speed of the bus on the internal dvd?
If you have the money for an internal device and want to use it with P105 only then you can also choose an internal burner.

(> 5) because a dvd internal is preferable, because it is exactly a dvd-ram/IDE as it is currently, or some other configuration of bus.
As far as I know it s an IDE interface, but the device would support setting master or slave or c - salt. As mentioned, you can buy a Toshiba a recommended.

(> 6) especially, what dvd burner would give me 18 x speed with current programs like ConvertXtoDVD and did as a symbol external or - better - as an internal dvd replacement or my slow drive currently?

  • Satellite M40-145: CD/DVD player will not play some DVD

    Hello!

I am the owner of a Satellite M40-145 bought a little over a year; DVD driver worked perfectly until three days ago, but today I discovered something... strange. Still, it reads the DVD business and burned the DVD + r, but apparently it does not read the DVD - r serious more. I tried with different DVD - Rs, I burned the same DVD player, without success; trying to access the DVD gives a message "insert the disk in drive D:".

In this case, I'm talking about movies on DVD. Please tell me there is a way to fix this without sending the computer to the customer service...
I wouldn't think he fell down a few days after the expiry date of the guarantee.

    Hello

Well, you can try to remove the Device Manager order form.
After restarting again the reader should be recognized again. Then, check if it is possible to read the DVD - R, CD.

But the question sounds like a lens calibration error. If you use different media, the lens must be calibrated again. But if this procedure fails, the drive is not able to read or write the DVD for example.
Unfortunately, in this case only the replacement of the drive will resolve this problem.

    Hello

Remove the CD/DVD drive in device (device marked with yellow exclamation) Manager
Then start the registry (regedit in the search)
Here, you will have to remove the filters above and below to the following registry key:
