Satellite L750 - close without cause

Hello! I have a new Toshiba Satellite L750.
Sometimes my laptop turns off automatically without cause and restart automatically (low cpu temperature: I know because sometimes it happens when the computer is turned on for a few minutes).

Can do something or I have to put the pc on the repair center?

Thank you very much!

Hello

Please recover the laptop using the recovery of HARD drive option or recover the disk you can create using the Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.
If the question will always be, get in touch with a Toshiba ASP in your country in order to verify the material.

Good luck!

my laptop has been close without warning - today got an error message on any ideas - failure of the cooling system

If it is the fan / repairable or perhaps other components default?

    Hi Yannos

I think that your laptop turns off automatically due to high temperature.
Probably the cooling fan (cooling module) is no functions and therefore the CPU cannot be cooled properly.

The notification that received you today confirm my hypothesis.

In my opinion, the cooling module must be checked and probably replaced in order to solve the problem of cooling.

  • Satellite L750 turns on and turns off by itself using Linux

Today, I had some strange behavior on my laptop. It closes unexpectedly, after showing a dialog box saying "your computer will stop in 60 seconds". And then when I turn it back on, it stops just before the start and it turns on by itself after a few seconds.

It not too much heat, the CPU temperature is normally between 50 - 60 c (I constantly monitored using Conky). In addition, someone told me to upgrade the BIOS, so I did it, but the problem persists. I also tried to replace the RAM and run a memcheck, but everything looks good on the side of the memory.

I use linux and had a look on ' / var/log/syslog ", but I'm not sure that I know exactly what to look for. Messages saved before you stop do not seem to describe something suspicious.

I use Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, but it seems that the problem is more hardware related and I would like to study what are the causes stop randomly. The same thing on Windows, but there is no warning before stopping.
My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L750-11w.

    Clues would be greatly appreciated.

    > I use Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, but it seems that the problem is more hardware related and I would like to study what are the causes stop randomly. The same thing on Windows, but there is no warning before stopping.

You have verified the functionality of the laptop using the Windows system, but have you used the Toshiba recovery disc and have you tested with factory settings?

I m wondering about the message: your computer will shut down in 60 seconds

If this would be a hardware problem, then the laptop would be closed without any warning messages.
So I guess there must be a software problem, I guess that some triggers for setting this automatic valve downwards.
But to be honest, I have no idea of what parameters can be

If you think that its hardware problem, I guess only a laptop computer technician would be able to help you.

  • Crush the recovery on Satellite L750 partition

I've updated windows 7 Home premium to Windows 7 Professional. Please could you give me some tips to update (or replace) the recovery as well as Win 7 Pro partition becomes the default o/s, and all software and drivers Toshiba Satellite L750 are included (bluetooth and wireless software & drivers, etc).

I have already created a new system image on the recovery partition and a system repair disc.

    Supermalx.

    > can you tell me how to use the recovery discs to recover
The question is what you want to recover? The whole machine or only the missing files?
In any case, a partial recovery is not possible, all you can do is complete recovery image installation.

After the installation of portable full recovery you will have factory settings again, only in this case, you will be able to use without any problem recovery disc creator.

If you still have some questions you are welcome.

  • Drive HARD Win 7 recovery does not work on Satellite L750

    Hello

I have the Toshiba Satellite L750 with preinstaled win 7.

I instaled the upgrade to win 8 (from dvd).

After that I improve the MS site to Win 8.1 System.

The system does not work properly (DVD is not recognized) so I have to install previuos system.

First of all, I'm improving my BIOS for the new one - 3.60.

After that I try to win 7 reinstal my HDD recovery (which is located on the d partition). But it does not work: it has been impossible to start recovering in the menu of the bios (F8 key does not work, it was only possible to press F2 or F12).

So I have to install my dvd 8.0 Win and now I have it and it works. But this is only a clear system without any addons like nero, ms office etc.

My question is how do reinstal win 7 of my hard drive recovery that I always on the d partition?
in the bios the F8 key does not work.

After clean OS installation installation of HARD drive recovery not working anymore. If you want to have the original image of recovery preinstalled on your machine, you must use recovery DVDs.
I assume that you did not create this disc, right?

In the user s manuals document clearly described how it works with the image recovery and the creation of recovery disks.

I have Win7 Ultimate, and I noticed that the bluetooth is not working...

What do you think? What should I do? Is a bluetooth problem? Or will reinstall Win7 problem?

    > I have Win7 Ultimate.
That means you don t use Toshiba original preinstalled the operating system, but your own version. Who knows how you installed and that you have installed on your laptop?
Who knows what are the applications are running in the background and that it blocks stop process.

You know, it's not easy to give the right answer to your question. In my opinion software original BT should not be the problem. Maybe some additional application's troublemaker.

If possible, try to put an end to running processes in the Task Manager and check if the closing is OK. Maybe you will find what is the problem there.
    > Or will reinstall Win7 problem?
In general Yes, especially if you install original OS that you got with your laptop.

  • WLAN disconnect on my Satellite L750 guard

    Hello people!

I bought this Toshiba Satellite L750-1MK (with Atheros AR9002WB-1NG wireless network adapter) with pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium from the beginning, my wireless connection keeps going down for no reason apparent all the a few minutes to a few seconds and I'm like 5-20% of the time offline.
What happens at home, my parents and work (different routers and router settings). My laptop older running at the same time has absolutely no problem.

My wireless network card driver is up to date (9.2.0.419) and I turned off (Mode power saving, on max performance, "turn off for energy saving" is off) of the energy saving features

I also installed Linux Ubuntu 11.10, and I'm not having any problem there but I have to use Windows for my work.

    Any advice?
    Thank you very much!

    > I also installed Linux Ubuntu 11.10, and I'm not having any problem there but I have to use Windows for my work.
This means that it is a problem of simple adjustments.

I guess you have this problem only with the laptop on the right of the battery?

People have said that this can be resolved by disabling energy saving.
I think you have tested this in Windows 7 power management but additional you must do this
+ Device Manager-> WLan card-> properties-> (last tab) power management.

Here, you need to delete mark the option Allow Disable this device to power without danger

  • On Satellite L750/0 wireless connectivity issues s 5

    I own a laptop L750/0 s 5.

I seem to have a problem with my wireless connection, where anywhere not at 10 m from the router the connection cuts in and out with the yellow sign 'limited connectivity' always appears. disconnect and reconnect solves the problem for a few minutes. Ive resorted to the close session of the router.

the computer is 2 months old, the Wlan driver is up-to-date. power options have been configured to be on maximum performance for Wlan etc etc.

The main thing that annoys me, it's all the others (much older laptops) in our House very much work where mine doesn't. I actually lost performance from where I can get my old toshiba portege m300 to this new wireless signals.

In terms of information, the computer is running windows 7. Wireless network card is Atheros AR9002WB-1NG.

If theres any other information that you need, as im sure there will be, I would like to know and ill try my best.

    The router is really new.

    Thanks for your help

    > the computer is 2 months old, the Wlan driver is up-to-date. power options have been configured to be on maximum performance for Wlan etc etc.

The latest Wlan drivers can be found here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/?page=downloads

Please keep in mind that you use the latest driver v9.2.0.419.0

To be honest, I had the same idea to disable the power save for Wlan and it more often it should work are you sure that you have changed this in the same power station that is used when the laptop is running on battery power?

However, it would be interesting to know if the Satellite L750 uses the same Wlan 802.11 standard, as do other portable
In the Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab Wlan card, you can choose the standard Wlan 802.11

  • Overclocking GPU on Satellite L750/L755

I have a Satellite L750/L755 with a 525 m GTX and whenever I try to overclock the laptop turns off immediately when starting a game. She even turns off when I bit overclock? Sometimes it turns off without reason playing games too, very rarely well.

Temperatures are slightly more than 68 degrees Celsius during playback, so I don't think it's a problem of temperature. Please help, im worried am I even supposed to be OCing at all?

I agree with Akuma. Overclocking on mobile machines is a very bad idea. The first in doing so you will void the warranty and in case that something will not Toshiba will do nothing for free.

Due to the specific design specifications have cooling system suitable for certain model and certain hardware platform. Overclocking will change this balance between the performance of the graphics card and cooling system, so the risk of damage GPU will be much higher.
    > Sometimes it turns off without reason playing games too, very rarely well.
There must be some reason, probably too high temperature.

When you play games make sure laptop sits on the desk and aeration (cooling rack) is not blocked. They should be free. Use power plan to high performance and remember that the method in advanced power of cooling options is set to maximum performance.

    Be careful with these things.

  • Satellite L750 - battery problem

I just encountered a problem with my laptop Toshiba which has wonder.

8 months ago, I bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite L750.
The laptop has Windows 7 Home Premium, 4 GB of RAM and processor Intel Core2Duo B960.
The laptop has met all my expectations and I was happy with it.

Last night when I took it out, I noticed that the battery had 45 minutes left on it such as measured by battery meter (which I know can be inaccurate). I wasn't worried because I had only a little to do but all of a sudden and without warning my laptop shut down on me.

When I came out the power cord and restarted, there is a warning near the battery icon in the Notification bar system that says something like: "there is a problem with the battery. Switch to HQ in order to avoid the sudden closure and loss of data.

Since I'm already on ca I do not worry and my laptop worked fine but I'm worried.
I've had my laptop for 8 months, and already the battery has failed?
    What happens here?

I know that they are not lacking, but I had computer last for 4 or 5 years.
My girlfriend bought a Toshiba (a cell phone different, I know) two years ago and uses here a lot more hard that I do and the battery's still going strong.

Is this a problem documented with Toshiba or just a stroke of luck for me?
Although I found a very cheap site price * cbatterie.com* I can certainly buy another battery, but I won't be happy if it fails in a short period of time.

    Any ideas on that?
    Thanks for all the help.

As you know autonomy has little time running. On some laptops, it runs on some more long.
We cannot say with certainty what the problem with your battery but watch carefully if the problem persists and if you are sure that the battery is at the end of his life during the first contact the nearest Toshiba service provider, explain the situation and try to get a new one for free.

  • Satellite L750 charging and the question of the random stop

    Hi all

Recently I had problems with my laptop Satellite load.

    The laptop is running Win7 64 bit and is a Satellite L750 PSK2YA - 0LN028

Now the problem is not that his load not but that he chooses to charge and no fees when he wants to. With the laptop plugged into current alternative to a real charger Toshiba (3.96 tested A 19.48V) the laptop charge for a minute or so normally with the animated icon (moving) in the set by saying "plugged in, load. Then all of a sudden the animation stops in the status bar, but it still says "plugged in, charging" 2 lights on the front of the laptop flashes orange simultaniusly (power and battery NOT AC led) and the computer will decide to drain itself of the battery, then stop without warning (with connected AC).

This will happen under simple highload AND webbrowsing. My dough said Toshiba PC health integrated program is 'good' and that CPU Temp is not more 70% and the fan works as it should. When I remove and reconnect the AC adapter it will stop blinking and start to load for a minute and then start all over again.

I tried to remove and reinstall the battery Module controller via Device Manager and Reset BIOS by disconnecting all power and hold for 30 seconds, these two methods do not fix my problem.

The computer still works on AC if the battery is removed and the only devices I plugged in a USB mouse that is NOT plugged into the slot of the USB3.

Any help would be greatly appreciated or if someone knows what that flashing lights twin mean on a table of errors, or something (because I can't find the online error codes). It's my first laptop and I bought this one thinking that I could do most of my stuff a desk would be, but it's just been a nightmare...

Thanks in advance, if you need more info let me know.

I recommend you test another, a good pile of work.
Not quite sure if he s really make a battery but in all cases of problems of load, the battery should be checked as well as another adapter.

  • Satellite L750 - X 5315 - battery time remaining

    Hello

I had Satellite l750 - x 5310 yesterday and I tested it through and through. When running tests on the battery, the backup was not as promised. Here's how I did the battery test

    (1) I closed the laptop
    (2) charged three hours 100%
    (3) adapter disconnected
    (4) on the laptop (cheked battery status, it has shown 100%) and started using it to send JUST internet and USB data transfers no videos no games, etc. on 'eco power saver plan. HERE IS WHERE THE PROBLEM COMES FROM:

The batery sometimes shows 95% (4 HOURS) after 5 minutes 89% after 10 minutes 76% (2 HOURS) and sometimes climbs to 80% and after 1 h 30 to turn on the laptop stops ann watch low indicator (orange) battery on the façade refusing to power on without adapter connected. I took the test three times

I need to know what the actual backup battery from the phone. Is this normal and is battery duration 1 h 30 ecological without adapter to full charge or 4 hours, as promised by TOSHIBA?

    Please help, thanks in advance
    :(

    Hey,.

Before you start with some battery tests I would recommend charging the battery 5 - 10 times it reached full capacity and performance. Otherwise you can t make realistic and cooldown tests 3 times isn't enough.

Regarding your tests a few Tip: the duration of battery on the Web from Toshiba site is verified with the lowest screen brightness, without any attached devices, power for the eco mode profile and if you do * nothing * on the computer. Internet and e-mail needs of battery power and no less. So you can make a test if the battery life if you do nothing, but not to do work on the laptop.

Everything you do not on computer needs battery power ;)

    Hi mate

The screenshot isn't in English so it's hard to say what devices are listed.
However, I would recommend you check this FAQ document that describes exactly how to find the details on the devices in the device and find the right driver.

  • Question CTRL on my Satellite L750

Hello! I have a new Toshiba Satellite L750. I use it mainly for MS office, including word and excel. I do a lot of copying and pasting the text, usingn ctrl-c and Ctrl + v.

I noticed the days when I do a lot of copy, all of a sudden, count it behaves as if the ctrl key is stuck. The keyboard is not working properly, so, for example if I type "c" it is not type the letter but rather fulfils the function, as if I pressed ctrl-c.

My mouse still works, so I can save and close. When I restart, the problem is temporarily resolved. This happens about once a day!

I called Toshiba support and the first two technicians had me restrat and rpess F9 to restore the settings. The third has said is a key to "sticky" and I need to send the computer in for repair. I am really reluctant to do!

Any thoughts or ideas? Thank you very much! Jennifer

In my opinion, everything is OK but maybe RAM is overloaded, resulting in this annoying problem.
    > When I reboot, the problem is temporarily resolved.
I think that there is evidence for my theory. With time the memory is going to be overloaded and the problem recurs.

To be honest, I do even all day but I n t have such problems. OK I n t copy a lot of things.

    Hello

I got a new Satellite L750 - 16L and it won t connect to wireless internet. It has limited access with the yellow warning icon symbol wireless bottom right of the screen. It will connect with an Ethernet cable and there are 3 other laptops, the ps3, mobile phones... etc connected to my router so that isn't a problem with the router.

I diagnosed it and were two errors 1) unable to connect to my router and 2) theres no configuration ip or something, but I corrected the ip configuration by adding my ip in the settings of the ip4.

Can someone please help me solve this. I read that ConfigFree could be the cause of the problem, could it?
