Satellite L750 - do FN keys not working not properly
(notice - English is not my mother tongue, sorry bad language).
L750 satellite. -Win 7, 64 bit
Using the FN key works well for the volume control, but that's all.
When you press the fn, the Panel keys shortcut appear not correctly (stuck in the upper on-screen) and I cannot adjust the brightness of the screen, can not activate the WIFI etc.
I have reset and changed the settings on Flash cards, but nothing helped.
I have no option for the delivery of the Flash cards, can't find when I search to start Explorer.
A lot of browsing on the forums shows users suggest to uninstall and reinstall in the following order:
* + Added value package +.
* + Toshiba Flash card driver +.
* But I can't find * Toshiba Flash Cards Driver anywhere... !
Any suggestions? Should I tweak registry?
Can't think of any ways to solve this annoying glitch; p

In many cases the Support Flash Card utility is already part of the VAP (value added package).
Therefore, you should try to reinstall the VAP.
I found one on the European driver Toshiba page:
[Win 64 bit value Package184.108.40.206 | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EU&selCategory = 2 & selFamily = 2 & selSeries = 178 & selProduct = 6462 selSh ortMod = null & language = 13 & selOS = 30 & selType = all & yearu pload = & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = a llMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = al l & selectedLanguage = 13 & type = all & page = 5 & ID = 79691 & OSI D = 30 & driverLanguage = 42]
I recommend you to uninstall the old VAP first.
Then restart and clean the registry with CCLeaner.
Reboot once more and install the downloaded VAP.
Restart and test the Fn buttons.
I can't get the FN button to work, no matter how many times I reinstall the software of Toshiba, it doesn't seem to work!
Anyone got a workaround?
I use 2.40 BIOS and Vista 32 bit
By using the Vista operating system on laptop Satellite A200, the FN keys are controlled by Vista Flashcard Utility.
This tool is a part of the added value Vista package and therefore this package needs to be reinstalled on your system!
But before you start with the installation of VAP, the VAP installed older must be removed first.
Check it out
So sad story, I bought a Toshiba satellite series notebook PC (L750 A114) 20th day of the month last through digital LLC Dubai. I gave the maximum care for the last 20 days. Sentence might have used for 10 hours.
Yesterday, I started to do something and closed the screen and kept in the mode 'sleep' (I hope that it goes into sleep mode while closing the screen).
Orange light on the far left at the front of the laptop was that I guess.
Thought he was in the mode.then sleep later in the night after 3-4 hours I opened the laptop and you press the power button once to turn on the laptop, but instead of this, he went off.then do not think to put it on again.
In the morning when I tried to turn on the laptop, it starts, but no display is coming.lights on the keyboard are all about. Can someone help me please on this?.
I am so depressed thinking about the money I spent for this and works that I let go because I don't have another pc or laptop with me.
Laptop specifications are:
TOSHIBA SATELLITE L750 A114
I7 2670QM D 6 750 15.6 BT 2 G WC W7HP white
Thank you very much in advance.
The laptop must be turned off.
And remove the AC adapter and the battery.
Now press power 30 sec long and wait a bit.
Now connect the battery and the AC adapter and try turning on the device.
This support allows you to get the laptop working again?
Hi all... I have a Toshiba Satellite L750 - 17 p, since a few days now, when I turn on the PC after the toshiba logo I get the loading screen and the window ms back with the inscription: system32 / drvload.exe
MS-DOS screen remains empty and the computer doesn't load... could you help me?
Are able to repair the system using the Windows own repair options?
I guess you are using Win 7 because this system has been pre-installed by Toshiba.
Switch on and press F8. Here, you choose the first option called fix my computer.
Now you should be able to choose between several options. I think you should try the first option that allows you to automatically repair the system.
If this option does not help, try to set the system on the last good configuration/status running
I have a problem, all of a sudden, without doing anything, my * FN keys stop working *. The adjustment of the brightness first always worked without appearing in the bar at the top of the screen, but when I restart the computer even no work, nothing in relation to the FN key works.
My biggest problem is that my computer is a Toshiba Satellite L500-13W and * I can only activate wireless by pressing FN + F8 *. I can't stay with this issue much more. I already looked in this forum and other sites, but none of the solutions have solved my problem.
I hope you can help me.
Thanks in advance.
(Sorry for my bad English) :|
Oh I forgot to say, I use Windows Vista 32 bit
> I already looked in this forum and other sites, but none of the solutions have solved my problem.
Does that mean exactly? What have you already tried exactly?
You should post this very important information what you exactly did.
Furthermore, I can't find any more information about your operating system. You are using Vista 32-bit, but is this preinstalled Toshiba or have you installed yourself?
my brother, what is the name of the driver fn which allow you to display the f1-f2-f3-f4-f5-f6-f7-f8-f9-f10-f11-f12
on the screen
Toshiba Satellite L750-169
You need to install additional package from Toshiba.
This package contains several tools and utilities, and what you need is utility of flash cards.
I hope some1 can help with this

Why do you think the motherboard is ok?
Maybe it s a controller keyboard problem
Did you check if the cable is correctly connected?
In my opinion if you are sure that the keyboard is ok 100% the problem to be attached to the motherboard because there is no other party that is placed between the keyboard and the mobo.
I reinstalled my windows 7 64 bit on my laptop Satellite A660 and downloaded most, if not all the drivers on the official site of Toshiba UK.
Although I do not use the FN keys, keep it bugs me knowing that they do not work.
So... when I press the fn and none of my keys f1 - f9, they do not do anything, no card flash or anything like that.
But the touch buttons to the upper work (the eco (I think), wireless, media, pause/start, light, decrease volume and increase volume) when I press them they sound and everything, but no flash cards is (not sure but I think that there is no flash cards for those) However when I press the power button on top of the mouse everything works including the flash ECAD
The normal keys F1 - F12 function
Tried to uninstall the pack of value-added and install again (after rebooting my laptop)
Tried to restart flash cards too
None of the above worked.
Sorry for my English, not my language to the House :)
Thanks for reading,
If you need more information do not hesitate to ask.
Have you installed the Flash Cards Support utility?
I had Satellite L850 bite of windows 8 64 (pskg8a-07f001) running for only 2 months.
Only within this week, the special function key does not work do not, whenever I start the pc, I have to go into toshiba assist office then the function key, and then click ok, it will work.
But the touchpad has been defined as licence also under keyboard setting was defined as special function mode. But don't know why every time you start the pc must go in the function key box, and then click ok.
When I bought everything is ok, I can use the special function key to turn, up and down the volume and disable wireless... etc.
Please notify. Thks a lot!
Have a look here:
Function key change to Satellite and Qosmio 800 series
You can use the traditional keys FN + F mode or just a F key mode.
This can be enabled and disabled in the BIOS or the HWSetup
In BIOS go to Advanced-> system-> the function mode button configuration
This mode can be changed
Also remember that the function button is activated too
I'm having a problem with my laptop, the fn keys do not work.
I had this problem before, but when I reinstalled Windows 7 they worked again. Unfortunately after a few updates I had the same problems as before.
I think it is really annoying, because now I have to go to the taskbar to darken my screen for example.
I tried reinstalling the drivers, but they did not work.
Does anyone knows how to fix this?
Thanks in advance,
Have you tried to delete preinstalled Toshiba value added Package and install the latest version of the Toshiba download page?
Have a L750/05q running Win 7 64 bit.
Wireless works fine but the Wifi led not lighting up when wireless enabled, only the bluetooth led indicator lights when Bluetooth Wifi on or on.
Toshiba listed last Toshiba site update driver from Atherios - 220.127.116.116 (my model is not listed on their support site to THE), but still open-ended. Wireless works fine.
Also updated also, the network driver (Realtek)
Wonder if it's just a hardware failure rather than the driver.
Any ideas? Thank you.
BT and the Wlan using a LED indicator.
This means that the light flashes orange when the BT and Wlan functions are lit!
I have a Toshiba Satellite P305-S8820. I recently did a clean install of Windows 7. I loaded the value Toshiba driver pack and the trackpad driver but still cannot get the trackpad or press FN to work.
I think that the forum already contains hundreds of discussions about this so why you n t use the forum search?
Anyway, you need the latest version of Toshiba Value added Package and utility Support Flash Cards.
Try to also restart Toshiba Flash Cards (start > all programs > Toshiba) and repeatedly press the FN keys.
I just bought a laptop L750 / 04K, but the keyboard does not seem to record all keystrokes.
Often you must press space of once or twice, or other keys as well.
It doesn't matter how fast or slow I type it occurs randomly.
Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
I use windows 7 64-bit mode.
Have you noticed the same behavior with external keyboard? Probably only the internal keyboard is faulty and so not all of the keys will be recognized.
Also check the current version of BIOS and have a look at the official website of Toshiba for an update:
But if an external keyboard works properly the internal keyboard needs to be replaced. Lifetime warranty valid it can be done free of charge of an authorized service.
Check this box!
Satellite L300D-135 (PSLC8E-02P013EN) portable model, boot cold keyboard is fine. As things warm up the keys R and there stop responding as do 7890 keys. May be heat related.
The keyboard has been replaced, old and new are doing the same thing, so it's more like a controller issue. Have flashed the latest BIOS as saw talk of the keyboard problems in one of the versions of the BIOS. The end user has been tolerated for a few months, but now, Dyslexic child needs to use the laptop and cannot deal with dead keys.
Any ideas? Laptop is 2 weeks out of warranty and user end just asked me to take a peek, problem has been around for the warranty period.
Can you notice the question even if you connect an external keyboard or this only happens with an intern?
I can t imagine it has something to do with the heat, but if you want you can clean your laptop using a jet of compressed air. This could blow out the dust from the cooling fans.
If this isn't the case, you must replace the entire keyboard. Normally it of not so expensive so Don t you worry not about it. You can also ask your ASP if they can repair as a gesture of goodwill.
Some of my media keys have stopped working. The key works in the browser fine, but the play/pause, stop etc buttons do not work. They used to work earlier, but now... I'm runing 32-bit of Windows XP. Can anyone help?
The machine Sat A200-1ZF belongs to the PSAE6E series.
There is a driver or a tool on the page of the European driver Toshiba that is necessary to get the Toshiba controls buttons works again!
You must download 18.104.22.168C controls.
Remove the old utility of the operating system and reinstall the new application.
