> Whole in the same room but in other room to drop down from 5 to 1 and sometimes I lose internet.

It looks like WiFi signal isn't strong enough and this is the reason why interrupt the WiFi connection.

As Feliks mentioned; It might be possible that wireless network card does not receive enough power while running on battery then change the WLan settings in Win 7 power option for maximum performance of energy saving

    Can someone help me?
I have just upgraded to Windows 8 on my Satellite P850 and now, according to what I'm trying to do, it is sometimes said that there is no Internet connection.

I certainly link strong, because it works very well in the new application of Internet Explorer, Norton 360 and Windows itself. But it won't work in other things on the desktop, such as iTunes, the Toshiba Upgrade Wizard, Internet Explorer on the desktop, Safari etc.

Why is this? Of course the most important thing is the Toshiba Upgrade Wizard, but that's not very far because she needs an Internet connection.

Please help as soon as POSSIBLE. If you need additional information, let me know.

    Hello

This happen using LAN or WLan?
If you have problems with internet using WiFi, I recommend that you check the connection to the local network.

In addition, you must make sure that your software installed and other affect t tools don with that 8 to win in some cases it could be a problem software that are not compatible with Win 8 preinstalled.

I also see that you have Norton installed check if installed security tools don t affect the internet connection!

    My problem:
I turn on the computer. It recognizes the connection internet (Ethernet cable). I work without any problem... and I left (a few minutes)... I come back. Black screen, computer sleeps. I wake it up - I have to enter my password - and he says there is no internet connection... I have to stop it and restart it.

This problem occurs using only the LAN connection or have you noticed the same situation using Wireless LAN?

In case this happens only by using the LAN connection, I recommend you to check if you can update the LAN driver.

You can also right click on the network icon (in the taskbar) and could choose to diagnose and repair.

Whenever I restart my laptop it works kind of during about 10 minutes (I get about a 1 download), but then it slows down to a crawl.

I confess that I am not the most tech savvy people so I only did the basics (turn it on and try again, other connections, reset the router, connect through a cable) but none of this has worked.

To be honest I don t understand your problem you have a problem with the internet connection is slow?

Usually, this is not a problem or computer in the system but the problem with the connection provided by the internet provider (ISP).

Did you check the internet connection by using other WLan hotspots or other WiFi network?

The latest Wlan drivers can be found here:

Please keep in mind that you use the latest driver v9.2.0.419.0

To be honest, I had the same idea to disable the power save for Wlan and it more often it should work are you sure that you have changed this in the same power station that is used when the laptop is running on battery power?

However, it would be interesting to know if the Satellite L750 uses the same Wlan 802.11 standard, as do other portable

  • Satellite C660 - no Internet connection after updating BIOS

I am a novice user and have a Satellite C660 under warranty that I don't use for surfing the net and Ebay so I hope I can explain my problem!

Toshiba bulletin board said that the need to update BIOS, so I followed the instructions but since then I have no internet connection, and cannot restore the connection that I lost all help Toshiba Bulletin Board today lost and none of the programs to sort the problems work - e.g.set assistants etc. I did not yet create rescue disks, but if I try to create them now I'll be able to restore to factory settings?

Can someone tell me if it's a failure caused by the BIOS update or I would return laptop to John Lewis for repair? Thank you very much for reading this

    Hey Buddy,

The default settings in the BIOS load after update? If this is not the case, go into the BIOS and load the default settings. You can enter the BIOS if you press F2 before Windows start and then press the F9 key to load defaults. Then save & exit the BIOS Setup.

You can access the Internet now?
You try to access the Internet with LAN or WLAN connection?

Also check device manager if all devices are recognized correctly.

    > I did not yet create rescue disks, but if I try to create them now I'll be able to restore to factory settings?
You can create the Toshiba Recovery disk every time. Just launch the pre-installed Toshiba Recovery Media Creator and follow the instructions on the screen. You need just a few blank DVDs to create the discs. Disks contain a factory image of settings which can be restored each time and how many times you want to so with these disks, you are on the safe side ;)

  • Satellite L655D - slow Internet connection

I bought a new laptop because my old Inspiron 1501 has problems. The battery is dead, the R button does not work, the hard drive is 40 GB and the RAM maxed out at 2 GB. A Windows Vista.

So anyway my new laptop has 3 GB, more than 200 GB hard disk, Windows 7 Home Premium. Why so my new laptop slower than my old? The most annoying question is my internet connection. The new Satellite keeps cutting out. In addition, the downloads and uploads are very slow.

Here are the results of a speed test:
Old computer: download: 5.02 Mbps, 0.73 MB/s Upload, ping 100 ms
New Satellite L: download 0.09 Mbps, Upload 0.06 Mbps, ping ms 73

    Needless to say, I'm frustrated.

Laptops are spaced only 15 feet, and I done speed tests in the five minute intervals. I use a WIFI connection provided by my apartment complex. The old laptop is closer to the window, but the new Satellite L says that I have an excellent connection with five bars. Then I don't understand what the problem is.

    Hello

It seems that WLAN Card power saving mode is enabled and this could be the cause he slow performance... In my case that was the problem.

To verify the Windows power management options. You will find a WLAN Card for energy savings setting and you must disable or with other words, choose High Performance.

  • Satellite C850 - no internet connection

My C850 has decided this morning he went offline.
It was fine last night, but now no internet!

Checked the modem and internet connection is fine but keeps saying 'page unavailable' on Google Chrome.
I tried Internet Explorer and nothing.

Can get on the internet on anything else (phones, etc.)
Don't have any idea why it suddenly did and indices?

Probably I'm missing something really obvious!

I guess that you are not able to connect to the internet via a LAN or WLan connection.
    Right?

Check the settings of your anti-virus software or firewall security.
This could be the reason of this problem in internet offline mode.

  • Satellite C850-19Z - internet connectivity problem

    Hello

I bought this laptop about 14 months ago and have had fairly consistent problems with internet connectivity. Initially, the problem occurred when the prompt "Choose your browser" would appear. After selecting IE or chrome, in a day or two, we would start to get the "limited connectivity" message. We have around this simply by avoiding the selection of the browser prompt, but would still have problems every few months, IE being told there was a communication problem with the DNS server.
We did the usual stuff: unplug the modem for a few minutes and sometimes he would settle the matter, but only temporarily.

Usually, as soon as the first problem arises, it would be just a matter of time until we could get no connection whatsoever. The only thing that could make it work again was a complete restoration of the system, we have done 5/6 times over the months.

In any case, it happened again, but this time NOTHING we tried before doesn't work. He started by see us full bars and 'connected', but being not able to open Web pages and now tells us that there is the usual problem of "DNS server".
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm not able to get a new laptop, or pay for repairs now.
I must also respectfully as advice or assistance request to explain as if you were talking to a 5 year old... This is NOT my fort!

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

Usually all the laptops with the factory settings and good connection LAN or WLAN can be used immediately for the internet. You have to just pick your favorite browser or install it also and just start using it.

In your ad I didn't understand one thing: what type of connection do you use.
Are you using a LAN or WLAN connection?

  • On the Satellite A100-784 Internet connection does not work

I use a Satellite A100-784 with Vista Home Basic and a US Robotics router. My question/problem is that when I discover the network connection, it shows I am connected to the router, but not to the internet even though I am.

It is a quirk of the Vista operating system or is it normal if you use a router? Should I worry or not?

Thank you all in advance and my apologies for the newbie question.

Each router must be configured and the right data ISP (internet service provider) must be inserted.

    -Don't configure you the router?
-How about the TCP/IP settings? All the settings are set to automatic?
-How about firewalls? Have you used one or you turn it?
    -Have you tested different browsers?

    Please check the points above.

  • Satellite L300 - no Internet connectivity - intermittent

    Tonight

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop ancient - about four or five years. I'd give the model number, but unfortunately it has rubbed off the label underneath - is possible to find this out (I think it's a L300 - or something).

I let the laptop all the time - leave the parameters energy saver it hit standby mode when the lid is closed.

Sometimes (often) when I open the lid and the springs of the computer in the life, the connection is at Local level only rather than Local and Internet. A reboot solves this problem, but a reboot takes about five minutes, which can be a pain if I want to use the Internet for half a minute.

Come to use the laptop now and it wouldn't connect - or rather, wouldn't get all web pages. This time the connection was showing however as "Local and Internet". I don't think it's the browser - use us Firefox or Chrome. In addition, the computer will automatically connect to Skype and it is only in a State of the connection.

I just uninstalled the wireless driver - do not click the box that says 'delete the driver software for this driver' however. Of course, this requires a reboot that solves the problem anyway, so I don't know if that solves the overall problem.

If anyone knows of any diagnosis that I should run while the machine is not plug in, but please let me know.

This same problem who spent a year or two he's has and then just stopped that happening / it is now started again - current for about a week.

    Any ideas anyone?

It is under Windows Vista Home premium and use AVG as a virus checker - if that makes a difference. I have a new Toshiba netbook and that works perfectly on the same wireless network. I have not tried this portable annoying on a different network.

    Thanks in advance.

    GTG

To be honest I didn t understand your problem.
To work well WLAN driver must be installed and card wireless network enabled to verify please once more if the correct driver WLAN is installed. You can do it in Device Manager.

Use the FN + F8 key combination and remember the wireless network adapter is correctly enabled. After doing so scan the area and control available to the local wireless networks and try to connect to your WLAN at home.

Have you tested with battery only or the same problem occurs with food running too?

  • Satellite L750/755 - no connection after Windows updates

HI, I have a brand new L750/755. network card is atheros.

There is no way to connect to the internet after you install updates to windows (85Mo, framework 3.5.1 security updates).

Computer laptop will always find any accesspoints, but connect only with limited connectivity or no internet access.

I had to restore the laptop before the updates installed to solve this problem.

How can I work around this problem, or if not how can I get these updates to stop installing on close?

    Thanks in advance

PS I had already tried installin the latest NIC drivers, change the power settings and connections to all other routers. nothing has worked.

    > I had to restore the laptop before the updates installed to solve this problem.
Do this and after having done this only automatic disabling Windows update. When you manually do Windows update, install important updates only. Before you begin to update the optional check listed and disable updates updates of pilot.

  • Satellite L305 - unreliable internet connection

I have this same problem and it is really annoying (except I use a L305). Just to add to what the OP said, when the wireless light, for me at least, the wireless network adapter also disappears from the Device Manager. Sometimes my wireless will work several days in a row, but then stops abruptly. As he said, restarting sometimes helps, sometimes not. I found that disable and then re-enable the connection in the network connections Manager are the most effective way to operate but now today that only works for a few minutes and then my internet access becomes limited connectivity.

I've updated my card drivers and which seems not to have helped but have yet to try the BIOS that I'm also going to reformat my hard drive tonight to clean things up a bit so I'll make sure you guys let to know whether that fix it somehow.

(I know that it is not my home network either since I have this problem in several places)

    Hello

Very strange, I mean if the WLan card disappear from the device manage WLan led doesn't light and so then it must be a problem of published material
However, try the BIOS update and to use the recovery disk to set the device to the factory settings.
Then update the WLan driver, reconfigure the WiFi network and check the functionality.
