Satellite L750D-15E AMD Display driver

Hey :)

I have laptop Satellite L750D-15F (a6 - 3400 m AMD APU with Radeon HD 6520 G image) with win7 64 bit.

The last update for the display driver AMD for my computer is 2012:;
There are many more updates of drivers and there are many new video games that require the updated drivers.
Is there a way to get more updated drivers?
When I try to use auto driver AMD detect (when you try to download the driver that was detected), it shows me an error that the version of my graphics card is not supported.
I've also updated the bios to version 2.10 to see if maybe that solved the problem but it didn't.
is my video BIOS Date 10/05/11.

Help, please

Display driver for mobile units is quite limited and the laptop manufacturers do not offer the updates very often. Problem is that the performance of equipment, performance of the graphics card in particular, must be controlled and it is controlled by the display driver.
With the new graphics driver will offer more performance, but with more performance GPU will produce much more heat and it can be very dangerous for mobile machines of al.

Cooling system for notebook computers is optimized for certain hardware platform, and if the material can be cooled correctly the result may be overheating or hardware damage. Which is the reason why you can not install these non support drivers. Toshiba will not be responsible if you use a third driver of the part and later come to the service with damaged graphics card.

I know it's a bit boring and all of us want to have the right machine to high performance, but that's the problem with laptops in general.

To be honest, these L models with AMD platform are portable vouchers but not a few machines games so I don't think you can do much.

Update the BIOS of course has nothing to do with all this.

    Hi all
Does anyone know when toshiba released a new driver for the graphics cards from AMD? Because the one who s for download is ONE YEAR! It s 12/12... I tried to go on the AMD website, but they say the driver they support doesn t computers laptop toshiba... I m quite sad to have an old one year for my graphics card driver.
    Thank you

You don't have to be sad about it. There is great difference for laptops and desktop support.

As you know for desktop GPUs manufacturers offer new versions almost every month.
With computers portable situation is a little different.

Due to the design and construction GPU performance must be controlled. More performance means more heat and more heat can be problematic for the material of the laptops. Cooling system is designed to provide the optimum temperature of material. It's a little complicated.

All you can do is check for newer versions offered for new models of portable computers.

By the way: GPU is inside?
I would check if some newer model with the same GPU has preinstalled latest version of the driver.

  • Satellite L655 - update for the AMD display driver

Why he did there not update for ATI driver Satellite L655?

I want to use AMD app functionality which is supported by ati hd 5650, but programs that want to use this feature says I need to update the display driver. The AMD driver said he is not taken in charge and I need to download your manufacturing for laptop (Toshiba), witch is very old :(

Why Toshiba does not support the update of manufacturing original, even the cheapest laptop chipsets supports the update?

    Hi paradis_pal_1,

Latest AMD display driver for Windows 7 64 bit and Satellite L655 is from 14/01/11 so it s no old driver

Otherwise I agree with Akuma and if you are looking for a newer version check other portable Toshiba with AMD graphic. For example, Satellite L750D has a new driver from the 05/09/11, which is version 8.812.2.2. This driver should also work on your model, because the old graphics cards are also supported.

  • My AMD display driver keeps crashing in some videos

My AMD display driver keeps crashing and stop any use of the computer for 5 to 10 minutes

    Hi Dennis,

This is not a question of MSE and not sounds more like a problem of malware.  Looks like a hardware problem or a driver problem or maybe even a problem of file system containing your OS files.  It could be the video card, the monitor or something else (even if it seems to be this driver I suggest that you update to AMD first to see if that helps - even if he says it works very well in the Device Manager and the version at AMD is the same version that you have installed).  He might even have to do with the settings or types of videos - is there something special or different about these videos and they come from the internet or from a CD/DVD which can also be part of the problem (there is not enough information to determine these things and the 5-10 minute thing is source of confusing).  In essence, it could be the driver, or there could be a conflict any affecting the driver (or corrupt files or many things).  I could walk you through some troubleshooting steps, but it is better that you get the help of people who specialize in this.  In any event it is not here.

If please repost to (but actually go first to the top and your version of Windows to reach the appropriate forum for your entry system).  Experts in the material problems and driver for your operating system will be a pleasure to help you and you will receive the best help from these forums.  They can refer you to AMD to help, but it is likely that they will be able to help you without it (and the problem may simply need new drivers from AMD or other aspects of your system) - but if they come to that point, they will send you there in time.  The accident likely causes an error message any (that's why your system to know that it is the AMD display driver).  When you re - post, please include the exact error message and everything Word to Word with all codes that can help identify the cause of the problem.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Satellite L555 - 10 m - AMD Display Driver Question

    I have since 25.01.2012 12.1 amd drivers on my Satellite L555 - 10 m on it.
I have an ati radeon hd 4650 in it, but in the version noted the following:
The following books are not compatible with this version:
Notebooks of Toshiba® (please contact the laptop OEM for support of the drivers for these laptops)

    what it means?

    I would appreciate help.
    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards

Laptops are specific products with a specific design and cooling system. Because of this material, the activity is controlled by laptop manufacturer. All laptop manufacturers offer customized display driver to reduce the performance of the graphics card to a reasonable level.

At top level on performance can produce more heat, overheating and even damage the hardware. This is the reason why it is recommended the use of Toshiba drivers only.

  • Satellite M50D-A-10W - display driver has stopped working while gaming

Hey guys I just bought a toshiba Satellite M50D-A-10W and I have a very annoying problem...

I remember exactly, and the freezing of the game and then screen I need leave the game and reconect. If you can help me guys, I'll be very grateful

    Rare Hi

This message is certainly created by the installed graphic card driver.
I can't say for sure why this happens, but I recommend you to reinstall the graphics driver.
In most cases, this should fix problems with gambling.

  • Satellite X 205-Sli3 - display driver would not correctly work with SLI

I bought a computer to portable Satellite X 205 - Sli3 in the United States less than five months ago and I had a lot of problems with it lately.

It happens quite often that the computer crashes without apparent reason, for example when I use Skype, Windows Media Player, or DVD player. Moreover, as quite often happens out of nowhere, I get a blue screen error and the computer shuts down. When this happens, Windows asks me to reboot if I want to search an online solution, and he tells me that there is a problem with my NVidia display driver. I tried to reinstall the most recent available on the Toshiba site display driver (which is since last September, however and therefore not very up-to-date), but problems continue to persist.

Because of the driver problem, I am also unable to use the NVidia SLI technology, because whenever I have try to activate, I get either a blue screen error or computer hangs momentarily followed by the message: "display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered. » ??

Finally, I can't put my computer into sleep or Hibernate. My guess is that it is also linked to the question of pilot.

Help from anyone in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Best regards

    Hi mate,

sounds like a hardware issue. It would be wise to send the machine to the nearest service partner in your country because you won´t be able to fix it yourself.
I guess it has something to do with the VGA card, or among the memory modules would not work as they should.

I can give you a link to find the nearest service partner in your country and them just contact them to explain your problem: 000000871

    Welcome them

  • Satellite M40 - cannot update display driver

    Hi experts, :)

I downloaded a new display driver ati from the archives of toshiba (for psm40e satellite). I know that my laptop has an ati chip, so I downloaded the driver for ati, installed, but after a reboot XP told me that the driver was written for an older version of himself (WIN XP) and does not work correctly...
Because I really need a driver updated for the thing, I was wondering if any of you know how and where I might be able to get a.

I've already tried ati directly, but the software told me to get the driver of toshiba... and current toshiba ati driver seems to be incompatible with XP SP3...
    I'm happy for suggestions!

I think that the must decommission your Windows XP SP2, and then the driver should work.

Have you tried to install the driver manually? Go to Device Manager > right click on the graphics card > update driver
But before that I remove the old driver and software in Add and remove programs and then restart the computer.

Maybe it works, but try it.

  • Satellite Pro L20 PSL25E - Display driver required

I'm looking for a new display driver for my Toshiba Satellite Pro L20, model No. PSL25E. I can't find this driver on

Right now I use Version of Mobile Intel (r) 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family.

The problem occurs when you use opensource-progs like GIMP.

After a few minutes, the display switches gray while the laptop is still working?

Does anyone have the same problem or an idea how I can fix this problem? Thank you.

You have an Intel graphics card?

Well, try to use and to install the graphics driver on the Intel site.

If you will not be able to install it by running setup.exe, then try to reinstall the driver through the Device Manager.
Here, you can select the graphic card and choose Update driver
Use the advanced procedure, and then point to files of driver that you downloaded from the Intel page.

Generally, the installation should functions that it worked on my system too.

    Good bye

  • Satellite A500-1GF - Nvidia display driver restarts constantly

I have a Satellite A500-1GF with the latest Nvidia drivers installed and it the driver crashes constantly. It gives a black screen, a pop-up message and then restarts the driver. After a few minutes it happens again.

Type of card is Nvidia GeForce GT 330 M

    Windows 7 64 bit

Google gives me hundreds of visits but no solution.

Someone at - it an idea?

    Hey Buddy,

    > 257.21 driver
That s not an official version driver Toshiba. The new version of driver for your Toshiba laptop screen is

You must install this driver because it s pretested by Toshiba.

Furthermore, I have read in the forum that the latest display driver Toshiba could solve the problem.

  • Satellite A200 (PSAE6) hangs display driver

I run my Satellite A200 with two monitors: standard laptop monitor and external monitor and my display driver (7.14.0010.0555 as says dxdiag) or 8.452.0.0 as the device manager says, crashes frequently and often.

The drivers is the last that I know.
    BIOS is the last too.

What display driver accidents also using only a view without a connected external monitor? This error message is displayed while the graphics driver crash?
    Is it while playing games?

This additional info would be very helpful for other investigations

According to the info that you use the Vista 32 bit OS.
Have you installed all the updates? SP1 and MS fixes?
    You should do this!

  • Re: Satellite P100-160 - failed display driver installation

    Satellite P100-160, PSPAAE, 32-bit vista.

Today, Aero is not working and not available in graphics properties. Later installed the site of Toshiba UK, Intel display driver. This version was actually older than my current driver but I thought that maybe she was the only availabel that it must be correct.

The driver installation failed with an error (no details don't just "year error has occurred"). Now, I don't have aero and my screen resolution cannot be set above 1280 x 800 - 1440 x 900 is expected

To say that I'm pisseed would be an understatement. Can anyone help? Thank you

If Aero is not available I think that it s display driver problem

In any case, did you remove the old display driver before installing a new? Go to Device Manager > right click on the graphics card > uninstall. After the restart the display driver must be uninstalled and you can start with the display driver installation.

If you install drivers make sure you are logged in as administrator and antivirus/firewall is disabled. Reboot once again and you should be able to choose the native screen resolution now.

Another user might solve this problem by disabling the Windows Aero theme and you need to test the same.

In addition, you must install the last page of Toshiba display driver. They are pre-tested and protection against overheating.
