Satellite L750D stops in 2 seconds, can't access BIOS

I have a Toshiba L750D, when I turn off, on rounds in about 2 seconds. I tried F2, returns the bios but then computer stops.

I tried the normal reset procedure, no difference.
I tried to remove the memory and try another memory, no difference
I tried to remove the cd, hard disk, keyboard and battery, no difference
Screen unplugged, no difference, stops in a few seconds.
Fan starts to turn, thought this may be defective, changed the fan, no difference.

I guess it's a motherboard problem? any help appreciated

Maybe the BIOS is screwed up. Did you do some update in the past?
I'm afraid, you should contact Toshiba service and request assistance from Mr. they should check the motherboard.

Depends on the brand and model of your system. When the initial screen, you should see similar instructions to "Press F1 to enter setup". F1 is just one example. It might be F2 or DEL or any other key. You disable and then boot from a usb device. The problem should be solved.

  • Re: Satellite A500-1GL - Can t Access BIOS aftre updated

    Hello
    I have a laptop A500-1GL.
Yesterday, I checked that the drivers download page, just to check if there is something new. and I noticed that there was a new version of the BIOS.

    My old BIOS:
    SystemBiosVersion: 1.6
    SystemBiosDate: 05/06/10

    the Web site was:
    Version: 1.7
    Date: 29/07/10

So, I downloaded this file and flashed the BIOS... after the reboot, I checked the "regedit". and the version was changed to 1.7, but the date remains the same (05/06/10)!

Now, this isn't a big problem - I know, but I wanted to check the BIOS configuration (before the start).
So I restarted the laptop, you press "DEL"... nothing happened, went straight to Windows!
    I tried again, with F1, F2 ~ F12... anyway.
So, how can I access the BIOS Setup screen? I tried re-flashing the BIOS again, but he keep saying that I already have the new version, so I can't flash.

    any ideas?

    Hello

    > So, I restarted the laptop, you press "DEL"... nothing happened, went straight to Windows!

It looks at, start fast, active in the Bios. Read this thread, the Andrusito guy explained how he has disabled it:

  • Can't access bios dv3500

I've updated my OS to Win 8.1 and while the operating system works very well - I can't access the BIOS during startup.  I made several tough stops and restarts and tried (F1, F2, F8, F12, DEL, and ESC) but I am unable to enter the bios.  Y at - it a workaround solution that will allow me to interrupt the boot to access the BIOS?

    Hello

Now try the SHIFT key when you click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.  Then away to the ESC key as soon as you press the power button and see if it launches the Start Menu - if this is the case, select the Bios Menu (f10) from here.

    Kind regards

  • Re: Satellite A105 stops after 60 seconds (NOT a heat problem)

Satellite A105-s4344 stops after EXACTLY 60 seconds. The mobo was removed from bevels and all devices removed unnecessary (DVD, HDD, WiFI etc.). Swapped CPU and RAM with those well known. AC adapter / CC exchanged and battery by the well known. Does the same on the AC or DC inputs only.

I have not yet flashed the BIOS (at 60 seconds, that would be silly). But, I'm looking to replace or flashing with an EEPROM burner. Currently has V 2.0

I don't know what heat genration detection using this system, but it is a possible cause if it is one of the later generations (visit http://www.topbits.com/how-to-monitor-cpu-temperature.html if you don't know that I'm referring to).

Before reballing North and South of the bridge and flashing, I thought that I would get feedback from you folks. Just to cover all bases ;)

P.S. the first person to ask what OS I use will get an instant ticket to the bottom of my list of respect.

    > P.S. the first person to ask what OS I use will get an instant ticket to the bottom of my list of respect.
:) :) :) Best thing I've seen in this forum.

    Back to your problem.
I'm not a technician but this is just my opinion on all of this. The fact is that after your laptop on CPU switch in seconds only reaches very high temperatures. You can turn on your laptop and just enter the BIOS settings and the same should happen again.

I can't say for sure if it's 100% thermal or not question but what else can be responsible for decommissioning? CPU will be warm in just a few seconds. Significant change structure with temperature change and I can only imagine a contact will be interrupted.

On this forum, we have had many reports similar as when portable cold starts and works well, but after that little time is off without reason. Maybe I'm wrong, but to me it sounds like heat or deliver bad contacts. Let's see what other people have to say about it.

  • Satellite A110-179 - BIOS password has been changed - can't access BIOS

    Hi, everyone:

I have a problem with my toshiba satellite A110-179.
I'm not exactly how, my computer has set a user password CMOS, which completely avoid me access to the BIOS, or a correct boot system settings.
So I Don t know to restart the CMOS settings, to remove all configurations, the user password that is included in this.

I been reading about the process of possible resetting my BIOS of the laptop, so I can't find exactly how do, so everyone know that it is impossible in laptops from Toshiba, reset the default installation settings.

    Is this true?
    Can I do something?

Please, explain the process. I'm completely hopeless on this issue.
Excuse my terrible English, it has been forgotten.

    Thank you, for your help.

    Best regards from the Spain.

    Hello

Is the password of the BIOS cannot be deleted by the user if the user doesn t know this password.
In this case, the ASP from Toshiba (certified partner) must be contacted in order to remove this password.

Sorry mate but to my knowledge, there is no other way to remove it
Therefore, get in touch with your ASP and ask for help!

    Good luck

  • be hpe530: can't access bios

The third time I changed the boot order in the bios and from that moment, I was unable to do something
I disconnected the sata drives and battery to reset thr bios but success witjout
I am unable to access the bios pf10 stille
    What can I do else?
Windows 7 64 standaard hp installation environment (with a bootmgr I guess.. original hp installation)

Thx for your answer, but I was not able to access the Bios with the F10 key

I solved the problem by unplugging the battery and the 220V taken during 2 min...

From that moment, I could access the bios.

But my first problem was solved not (bootmgr missing)

Months ago, I copied my system on a ssd and it worked without changing anything on the partition definitions

After installing the new firmware, I received the message "bootmgr." missing

I started a "partition mgr" by starting from the cd and noticed that my old drive without system has been defined as active

The ssd with the system on it was not "active".

I changed the 'active' and on the next reboot, a HP utility (?) noticed a problem and automatically repaired

    == > All problems solved

I installed a new firmware because I thought that the time between the market and the login screen was taking too long for one SSD boot (40 seconds)

Once you log in to windows it happens very fast

Is there a solution to reduce this time-out before the login screen, or is this normal

    Thanks in advance

  • Satellite U200 ceased start - not not possible to access BIOS

    Hello world

My Satellilte U200 has stopped booting and cannot even get to the BIOS. Nothing comes on the screen.

The drive LED only lights for a while and then no further action. I have re-sit the drive, the memory modules and the battery but no change. Also
tried to start without battery and alternating current with the same result.

I tried to drive on another system and its fine.

I'm starting to think that the motherboard has malfunctioned, because if one of the above components have been the question I should still see the BIOS splash screen.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you
    -John

    > I'm starting to think that the motherboard has malfunctioned, because if one of the above components have been the question I should still see the BIOS splash screen.
    Maybe you're just :(
It looks a bit like a motherboard or as Akuma suggests the question of the CPU.
The two parties could be affected and if one of the parties would be a malfunction, the laptop will not start and you would not see the Toshiba start screen and would not be able to access the BIOS settings.

I think you should get in touch with the local ASP. The authorized service partner could control the simple components and could provide more details on the affected pats.

The point is that a new motherboard is not good cheap. So if the guarantee is not valid, you will have to pay for this replacement
This could be a tough call what to do; Sell this laptop and purchase a new/second hand one? Or buy a new motherboard?  :|

  • Can't access BIOS on the computer laptop 15-R030wm

I have a laptop that was recently dropped, and since then, I found that the hard drive has been damaged during the process.

I bought a new hard drive and installed the drive and I wanted to get into the bios so that I can change the device to boot to a USB key... but I can't get into the BIOS.

I tried the tapping/now the key ESC, F1, F2, F8, F9, F10, F11, F12 to turn all this without success. I have tried removeing the battery and the charger to the laptop and now the power button down for 30 seconds. Still no luck.

    The system starts just a screen that says;

Not found boot device. Please install an operating system on your hard drive. Hard drive (3F0).

    Anyone have any ideas?

Well then... I'll answer my own question.

Connect a USB keyboard with separate 'F' keys and press F10.

    Well thanks, it works!

    You are welcome!

  • H8 - 1420t envy: Hp Envy - can't Access BIOS Can or Start Menu after replacing HARD drive

    Hello!

One of my friends has problems with their computer and gave it to the difficulty. First thing I did was try to start it up and it didn't not even start. He tried the auto repair and failed. Then attempted to fix startup problems via the Win8 splash screen and doesn't have too much that. So, I tried a refresh and even that failed. I took out the hard drive, connected on my PC at home and save all the data I could find. I had problems with some data and often he would crash my windows explore (as my friend told me that he did while they were using the PC), so I've determined the drive HARD shot.

Got a new HARD drive and put it in. At caught my drive of Windows 8 and slapped in. When I went to start the PC, I tried to hit all the keys BIOS I could think: Esc, f2, f8, f10 and f12, del even. Nothing has worked. He's just sitting at the HP logo and then after about 20 seconds, he went to a black screen that says something along the lines of "not detected no boot disk".

I can't boot into the BIOS. If I plug the old drive hard when I get to the blue screen of Windows 8 start with parameters such as the "Refresh" and "reset the PC. If I try to access the CD/DVD drive under the 'Remote access' button, I get a black screen with a cursor. It just freezes there. If I try to access the settings of UEFI, it freezes in the blue menu with functions.

I don't really know what to do here. I'd appreciate any help! Never had a problem this stubborn before.

Wanted to just go back and say I have solved my problem.

The computer didn't like the keyboard I used! I caught a pretty generic keyboard that was laying around and plugged him that. Hit Esc at startup led me to the boot menu.
