  Maybe this workaround solution can help you:

  (1) open the start menu, type gpedit.msc in the search, and press ENTER.

  Battery requires time to work on the use of the laptop. So if you run games of high performance or any other software and use a lot of equipment performance the battery needed to dump a lot faster!

  The Auguste user had the same problem with the Atheros WLan card and the driver update has solved this problem. You said you've already tried this, but maybe you didn t use the updated driver.

  Also try to disable the option: leave the laptop turn off the WIFI device in order to save the battery.

  I recently bought Toshiba Satellite L755 and I am generally happy with it. It is an improvement in my Toshiba Satellite L300.
