Satellite L850-11 q - pilot missing for PCI Intel Panther Point PCH host
Hello
I bought a Satellite L850-11 q earlier this month.
Having a Windows 7 Prof 64 bit service pack 1 - license (and Win7 Home comes pre-installed), I formatted everything (including the recovery partition, because I tend to make my own backups).
Of course, I downloaded all the 64-bit drivers available beforehand, but after installing all that I found this driver is still missing!
I searched on the 'sister' - portable L855 page for compatible drivers, but could find none (reason: * not all pilots are on the L850-site *, for example of stack Bluetooth driver - I got 3 unknown devices after installing all the drivers-L850, both of them could be found on the site L855).
My problem is that there is always an unknown device in the windows Device Manager.
Aida64 (a system of monitoring/information, etc. - program) has identified the device to be the
"* PCI Intel Panther Point PCH - Host Embedded Controller Interface 1 (HECI1) [C - 1]."
* Updated Windows *-by right clicking and selecting the automatic driver search * can't find anything *, either.
In addition, Intel has not all drivers as of yet for this chipset (I think maybe it's the 'chipset of the 7 series', and which is not listed, yet).
I looked for the files here:
http://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/default.aspx?lang=eng & changeLang = true
Get any help in getting my hand on the .inf driver/necessary files is appreciated.
Thank you very much in advance for your time and efford!
Hello
Panther Point initially was a name for the Intel express chipsets (QM77, HM77, HM76 and others)
AFAIK the L850-11 q was equipped with an Intel HM76 express chipset.
Recommend to install the Intel chipset driver for this chipset.
Try this one:

Satellite M50D - A - 10 L - pilot missing for unknown device
You just bought a Satellite M50D - A - 10 L and after 1 week, the HARD drive failed. Of course, I had to replace on my spending, because the guarantee would be in about 2 weeks, which was too long to wait for me.
In any case, I also lost the pre-installed Windows 8.1, but is not a tragedy, because I reinstalled it and everything works well.
The problem I have I have one of the pilots is not recognized by the "Device Manager". The device is called 'Device ACPI'. Any idea which driver missing is all about?
Thanks in advance for your answers.PS: Do not know how to attach a screenshot of "Device Manager" with missing driver...
Have you tried to identify the unknown device, through the identification of the seller and device?

Satellite L355D - some drivers are missing for Win 64 bit
I received this L355D in a trade for a unit of the computer.
Supposedly, he had a virus on it and don't run so the previous owner wiped the drive and installed an operating system Linux on it before offering to me in a job and I didn't have the password for Linux and the owner previous couldn't be contacted, so I cleaned the disk and installed XP Professional 64 that I purchased and had installed on the Tower I exchanged (I kept the hard drive). XP Pro 64 only comes with SP2.
I had the same problems with missing drivers.
I have become aware that the original problem WAS NOT a virus as the previous owner thought due to its stop suddenly, the device was overheating due to an accumulation to high dust and other fuzz at the entrance to the fan.I downloaded the drivers from Toshiba which are provided for are the Vista 64 platform (I use XP 64-bit, as much, I hate Vista) some had to have a second attempt, but I managed to install almost all of them, and they work!
This cured the wireless Altheros and it works well but is not the ethernet Altheros
This cured the issue with Realtek ethernet and it works well and is now in use
The Realtek multimedia works with all others. Also, I use MS Essentials for security (no particular reason) and if you decide to use, select Vista 64 as your operating system XP 64 is not supported and will not not install, but if you lie and say you're a Vista 64 will be, sometimes it don't dΘmarre so a simple 'restart' solves the problem.
I have the same questions and don't know what to do to solve them without creating new ones.

Hello
Windows XP 64-bit drivers were never published by Toshiba.
The 32-bit Windows has been used in the past and the 64-bit Windows versions are popular since Vista and Win 7.However, the ACPI\TOS1901 seems to be Uitility password or the supervisor password utility.
Maybe the 32-bit version would work. The VEN_1002 & DEV_4385 SM bus controller appears to be from a controller from ATI
I could find the VEN ID in database PCI

Satellite Pro L670-18F - pilots missing after updating BIOS
I have a Satellite Pro L670-18F and I recently updated the BIOS to version 1.5, recommended by the site, but now my internet speed is VERY slow and I have some devices in the Device Manager without drivers related to the bios (from Googling) and so I realized that the bios has been a problem.
Does anyone know this laptop came with to downgrade the BIOS version? Also, if I reinstall windows will I receive a new bios version or will it would not affected?
Hey,.
Did you download and install the correct version of the BIOS of your laptop? Satellite Pro L670-18F belongs to the series of PSK3FE AFAIK, so have you chosen BIOS for this series of model?
In addition I recommend you load the default settings in the BIOS. Just press F9 key if you are in the BIOS Setup.
If you reinstall Windows, the BIOS will not be affected. BIOS and Windows are different, you will always have the latest version of the even you change your operating system.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver folder, that you unzipped.

Satellite P300-1EU - msahci.sys missing for Vista
I have a problem with the Satellite P300-1EU, Vista not started because he wanted msahci.sys file.
I have no restore DVD. You have a solution for this problem?Cordially Rb
Is that what you have just activated AHCI against drives in the BIOS? If to put the setting back to the IDE and the problem is solved.
If you can start your computer in safe mode, then the AHCI driver should reactivation. There is a solution with a single click here [http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922976].
If msahci.sys is not on your hard drive, then there are sites that allow download of system files. I think that the file must be in c:\windows\system32 -

I'm looking to change my operating system from Windows XP to Windows 7, I feel that I should have all my drivers in place before installing Win 7. I have a Dell Dimension 8300 PC.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated
There is no upgrade XP to Win 7. You will have to wipe the hard drive and do a clean install. If all the drivers that are installed will now be lost. All your personal files are lost too if you must go back and placed on external media first and be sure to have your software product key and software installation media (for example, MS Office), because you will have to reinstall everything
Dell does not support Win 7 on the Dimension 8300. If you run the free Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to see if your system is capable of managing in Win 7 and what drivers and software can be a problem. You can watch the video here to get advice from Microsoft by moving from XP to Windows 7.
And to answer your specific questions, this driver can be installed when you install the chipset after loading Windows 7, or it could be the modem driver Conexant (dial-up). So if you use an Ethernet port to connect to the internet, it can even no need to install drivers for the modem.
