Maybe you don t have installed audio codec supporting the mp4 file format.

You have two options:
(1) you would be to convert mp4 files into other formats like mp3
(2) you must install an audio codec supporting mp4.

By the way: the * VLC player * is a freeware player that supports mp4.
So, you should try this player too.

Can you please tell us what operating system you have installed on your machine? Win7 64 bit perhaps?

I guess you know how works the BT. Installing BT stack is only the first step.
You must be sure module BT is successfully activated. You must establish a connection between your laptop and mobile phone (synchronization). Did you ever?

  • How can I get files mp4 video to appear in genres other than the kind of 'The other' in Windows Media Center?

    Hello

I have mp4 video files that I can't to the list under the genres that I want to do in Windows Media Center.

I have the list of the kind I want them to appear as in the Details section on the right of the video click, but in the movies section, they appear under the type 'other '? Why?

    Do I need a '. '. XML data file"to make it work?

I noticed all movie files that can take the date meta online have 2 to 3 "." XML files"in their records. These video files appear under the genres as they should.

I tried to make one. XML file for the video files that can't dry meta data online but they always appear under 'Other' type only.

I need more than 1. XML meta data file? If I do what they are and how can I do it myself?

Can someone lead me to a site that explains how all the. Meta data files XML that I need to make this work.

    Thank you

    John

    Hello

I did a long time ago and it does not help.

    However, I found a solution.

'Master Media Center' (free version of the program) will download the XML MetaData files and place them in the folder of video/film. This will force even make a MetaData XML file if it cannot find anything online.

Apparently, Windows Media Center uses XML files to determine what kinds of display movies under.

Without a metadata file XML Media Center will put the video file in the type 'Other' even if you wrote a kind under details.

Now, if I can get my Windows Media Center to stop crashing when I open "Movies!

  • Cannot read file .mp4

    Vista and MP4 compatibility

How can I play MP4 on Vista files?  I keep getting error unresolved messages.

My previous answer was made under the assumption that you were talking to MP4 audio.

MP4 is for apples. He won't play in Windows Media Player.

If you meant video MP4, then you will need one of the following...
1 Google for a free video converter and convert MP4 video to WMV format.
    2. install QuickTime 7.2 which will play MP4.

  • Windows media player11 does not play files mp4 video

videos made with a cell phone based on windows.

    Hi ALMar Boone

You may need to install the correct codec to play the file. Windows Media Player and other programs use the codec to play and create digital media files.

You can use the links below and check out them if you get the necessary codec to download depending on the type of file, you try to play.
    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/316992

You can also use your favorite search engine to download and install a codec based on the file type, you must use.

NOTE- Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

    I hope this helps.

  • Impossible to get files MP4 video to work it is to say 10/11

    Here's my project file:

    Dropbox - videotest.cptx

It consists of 1 slide with a test inside video and 1 blank slide - that's all!

I use 8 Captivate (same results in 9 Captivate) and no matter what I do, in a trial through SCORM cloud, IE 10/11 everything simply do not load video content at all. It just shows the superposition of loading, then it goes, and then it returns - just cycles forever.

I use the fix IE 9 and which seems to be working (start the video apres.5 seconds instead of the right at the beginning of the slide), but it does help to get the course work in IE 10/11 in anyway.

I tested all imaginable MP4 H.264 file variations with no luck. Here are a few others that I have gone through:

  • Satellite L505D-GS6000 cannot read files on recovery CD

    Hello

Ive been trying to reset my Toshiba SATELLITE L505D-GS6000 and I get to the wizzard of recovery and he said: copying files.

After about a half hour it it comes up with an error message saying: he can't read the files on the Cd.
Is there another way to restore? or I have to pay for the new recovery cd?

    Hello

Perhaps the disc is scratched or the CD/DVD drive laser lens is dirty.
Try to clean the lens of alcohol or cotton tip.

If this is not enough, try to copy the recovery to another disk disc using other computers.
Then try to restore the Toshiba laptop using the new disk created.

If this is not enough, order a new disc.

    Hello

Your code is perfectly fine with the exception of a single statement.

    (NS). Play

    ( "sample.flv") ;

Since you want to play VOD, give the name of the stream without extension as -

    (NS). Play

    ( "sample") ;

But why do you NetStream.Play.Reset and NetStream.Play.Start events? This is because you have not mentioned the values 'start' and 'length' in your ns.play () method. Who takes the default value to 'start' as -2, which means that Flash Player first attempts to play the live stream specified in nom_flux. If a stream live by that name is not found, Flash Player plays the recorded stream specified in nom_flux. If a live or a recorded stream is found, Flash Player opens a stream live named nom_flux, although nobody publishes on the subject. When someone starts to publish on this stream, Flash Player begins to play.  As you mentioned the name of the stream with extension, FMS believes that it is in a stream which is not in the server and began to wait for a live stream with the name "sample.flv.

Best practices is always give the 'start' and the 'length' of the data stream when you call the NetStream.play() method.

    Kind regards

  • Re: Satellite L850 - 0C9 - cannot use USB3.0 external HARD disk

    Hello!

I am looking for help from you guys
because I can't use my NEW SEAGATE USB 3.0 drive HARD EXTERNAL 2 to with my labtop (L850 - 0C9)

My labtop has 2 blue USB ports and I guess it's USB 3.0 and I checked it manual.

but when I tried to copy data to the hard disk and after 1 minute, then he continues to display the message "the destination you specified does not exist. It happens every time.

but I found an interesting point of it works fine with usb 2.0 port so now I use with this port.

It shows that the hard drive is not a problem, but my laptop is in my logic.

so I've updated almost all drivers and firmware support page vaissaille intel usb 3.0 driver.

but it is showing the same message as before.

    Anyone know how to solve?

So now I have a new problem my CD player does not work well or be correct does not at all after installing XP.
I tried to copy the 800 MB file size and it stops all the time after something like 1 min

Maybe then someone has idea passing is that?

    Hello!

Have you tried another disc? Maybe the CD is rough and doesn't work properly.
    Check it!

In addition, you should try to remove the upper and lower filters. I read in the forum that is often resolved some problems with the optical disc drive. Here is the Microsoft article describing this work around:
