    Hello

Maybe you have an old version of your Windows XP operating system in the Microsoft Windows CD.
I guess you are not able to install the OS, because some updates and SP are missing on the CD.
You should try to include service packs of MS, and then install the operating system.

    Hello

I doubt that it works with VmWare.
    Why?
Because the restore CD contains the ghost image files and you will need to boot from the recovery CD for installation.

    Hello buddy

It is badly located now. Please try to do it once more.
If the same thing happen there is nothing you can do. I'm not an expert for this kind of thing, but I noticed the image recovery recovery DVD will be copied to the HARD second partition disk) first and then the installation of recovery will go from there.

If the adaptation procedure is not done on the recovery of end procedure cannot be started.
Sorry buddy. In my opinion, you can try to contact the nearest authorized maintainer and explain the situation. Take the DVD created as evidence and maybe they will order new media for free.

    Good luck!

  • Satellite A100 - WXP Recovery DVD Installation via USB

    Hello

I have a laptop Satellite A100 and the DVD drive no longer works. I don't want to waste money on an external DVD drive. I want to install the recovery from a USB device. I copied my recovery disk image and saved as ISO.

My window of recovery of origin is "Windows XP Media Center". I don't want Linux operating mode. : P

I tried several methods, but they did not work for me. (Unetbootin, Ultra ISO, etc.)

If someone could help him in any way will be appreciated.

    Kind regards

As far as I know it doesn t work on this image of the way and the recovery can be installed with the bootable recovery disk. You can not simply copy all the files on USB and install recovery image.

This should be easy kind of manipulation that can be used on the different laptop models. Please note before recovery image installation begins the data in the recovery image and data saved on the motherboard should be compared and if this doesn't match t, you will be unable to install the recovery image.

ODD for this old model of laptop is not expensive. You can find used one on ebay and replace it yourself. If you need assistance, we can help you.

    Hello

This problem can sometimes be resolved by wiping the hard drive first, and then reinstalling the operating system.

Download and install Killdisk on the link below.

    http://Software.LSoft.net/KillDiskSuiteFree-Setup.exe

Download and install ImgBurn on the link below.

    http://download.CNET.com/ImgBurn/3000-2646_4-10847481.html

Access the application of disc kill you have installed in all programs, open the main folder, then select Bootable Disk creators, then the BACK Bootable CD Creator that will burn the ISO on a blank CD bootable.

During the following process do not worry about all warnings as your recovery DVDs will reformat the HARD drive.

Insert this CD into your PC which is unable to load the operating system properly. Shut down the PC, and then start again to boot from the CD of Killdisk and follow the instructions on the screen to kill disk.

A brief description of the process here is Killdisk.

Use it to wipe the entire hard drive (f10) - ( make sure to include all partitions and then start the process - this may take a few hours!).

When the process is complete, remove the CD of Killdisk, insert the bootable CD from HP that you created earlier, and restart the computer to boot from it. When you see the green check mark, remove the CD and insert your first HP recovery disk.  Then restart your PC to try the installation again.

    I hope this helps.

    Best wishes

  • Equium P300-16 t: I lose the option of using Recovery DVD HARD drive recovery?

Hi sorry to post again but I need some help please.

I posted on September 11, as well, but could someone please tell me if I lose the ability to restore my computer laptop back to factory default, when you press F8, if I do the recovery with the Toshiba Software DVD.

As I said before I can get into safe mode but you cannot start my Vista.

I can't use recovery discs as my laptop came with any disks at all?

So the only option seems to be is it restore to the factory default.

I am writing again, as I need some help please...

    Abbi

    Hi abbi

    I can help you
You know that your recovery disk would fix the laptop back to factory settings.
This means that the whole HARD disk should be formatted and everything should be reinstalled.
The recovery disk also creates the HARD drive recovery partition that allows to recover the laptop from the HARD drive.

You said you didn t get the recovery disks?
Well buddy, I think you didn't read the manual you would find an info that the recovery disk must be created using the Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator software that is preinstalled on your laptop.

  • HP envy 17 can not boot windows or using recovery DVDs after the replacement of the motherboard

Hi all, I need your help

first of all sorry for my English but I'm from Greece. I really don't know a lot about the mobile only very basic computer.

I have a hp envy 17 3d 2080en with windows 7 Home premium which, after overheating, chips to the motherboard. I ordered and installed a used motherboard from China (part 630793-001 hp number).

After that I tried to start the laptop, but when he opens he said probably due to the change of the material he cannot start windows normally. After reading a lot on the internet, that I tried using the recovery DVDs I had prepared before the problem, but they will not start just yet. Then, I tried to use the cd system repair but again no luck.

I looked in the bios as some people say on the internet and realized that the product number and serial number are different from those of my laptop and it's maybe part of the problem, but I don't know. I looked in other posts about similar problems, but did not get a definitive answer and this is why I post for your help.

    Thanks to you all

    Nikos

IF YOU HAVE AN HP LAPTOP (MINE IS HP ENVY 3D 2080EN) THAT YOU HAVE CHANGED THE MOTHERBOARD WITH ANOTER ONE (MINE WAS FRIED OVERHEATING) AND AFTER REPLACING YOUR LAPTOP DOES NOT START AND YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH SYSTEM REPAIR DISC OR DOES NOT PERFORM A CLEAN WINDOWS INSTALL OR DON'T LISTEN NOT A RECOVERY CD/DVD RECOVERY THEN EXPERTS HP WHO KNOW NOTHING. LOOK IN YOUR BIOS, AND IF YOU SEE THE PRODUCT NUMBER OR SERIAL NUMBER DIFFERENT THAN THOSE APPEARING ON YOUR COMPUTER (USUALLY IN THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT) THEN GO TO A HP SERVICE ALLOWED AND TELL THEM TO HAVE YOYR TATTOOED BIOS. WITH THE TATOO (COST US $ 40), THEY WILL REPLACE THE NUMBER OF BAD PRODUCT AND/OR THE SERIAL NUMBER WITH YOUR MOBILE PHONE NUMBERS AND YOUR PROBLEM IS SOLVED. MY MOTHERBOARD HAS BEEN FRIED TO OVERHEAT AND I BOUGHT A USED ONE FROM CHINA. AFTER I REPLACED IT THE LAPTOP WOULDN'T START AND WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO REPAIR DVD HE OR EVEN THE USE OF RECOVERY. I CALLED HP SUPPORT, I EVEN JOINED THE HP FORUM TO ASK FOR HELP AND I GOT ONE EXPERT WAS USUALLY TRY THIS OR TRY THIS. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM. FINALLY, I READ AN ARTICLE FROM THE INTERNET THAT EXPLAINED THAT WHEN YOU CHANG THE MOTHERBOARD / SYSTEM BY ANOTHER THEN THE BIOS REFERS TO THE NEW PRODUCT NUMBER, MOTHERBOARDS AND/OR THE SERIAL NUMBER AND THIS WAY THERE IS INCOMPATIBILITY WHICH DOES NOT ALLOW WINDOWS TO START, YOU CAN NOT REPAIR WITH SYSTEM REPAIR DISC OR IT DOES NOT PERFORM A CLEAN WINDOWS INSTALLATION OR A RECOVERY CD/DVD RECOVERY. ONCE YOU TATOO THE BIOS THATS IT. THE LAPTOP WORKS. I HOPE THAT THIS MESSAGE WILL HELP SOME PEOPLE WAISTING THERE TIME AND SPEND THE MONEY FOR NOTHING

I had to replace the hard drive of the laptop. A directed recovery DVD from HP. The internal DVD did not work, so I'm an external LG DVD player, model GP50NB40. I put the boot order in the BIOS to USB CD/DVD. However, the laptop does not recognize the DVD in the drive. I get a message this is something to the extent of the 'no disk bootable found '. I also hit F9 and selected the external drive to boot from without success. And for some reason, I also hit F11. Same message.

I tested the DVD drive on another computer and it works fine. I changed the USB cable on the laptop to another port. No change. Does anyone have an idea how to proceed to load the software on the new drive? Thank you in advace for your time.

    Hello:

I see that your laptop has 2 USB3 ports and 1 USB2 port specifications.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-envy-15-notebook-PC-series/5186791/model/5223304/document/c03151875/

You need to boot from the USB 2 port.

It would be the only suggestion I can offer.

    Hello

You can use the Toshiba Recovery disk, even if the HARD drive has been replaced.
Usually it s no matter you use a new HARD drive...
The recovery disk would be to format the drive HARD integer and must install the Toshiba image correctly.

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite on Windows xp. I had to run the dvd - rom product recovery he was really play it put out of service and all sorts of self is sorted now and is back to normal running.

Please can any one help I have sat here for hours and still not find a solution.

    Hello

Well, after using the recovery CD all programs and other tools that you have installed on the portable computer have been removed.
I guess you want to open a file of attachments in particular.
In this case, you will need to choose a new application to open files.
The easiest way is to right click on the file and choose open with. You can then choose the program which should open the file attachment.
For example: txt file > editor or Notepad
