> hey works but you have to press the FN key,.
This special function can be changed in the BIOS.
The point is that you can use the function key by pressing the FN key or without pressing FN - keys
But it must be enabled in the BIOS.

Go to + BIOS-> Advanced-> System Configuration.
You will find the * function special keys mode.*

    Hello:

The Intel HD graphics card appears under the category of display cards in Device Manager or a Standard VGA adapter is displayed.

Normally when the brightness of the screen is stuck on max and you cannot change it,'re missing you the driver from the chipset, the graphics driver, or both.

Make sure that you have installed the Intel chipset installation and restart utility as well as the Intel HD graphics driver.

  • Satellite C660-2EL - Wireless n and the F8 function key does not show

Satellite C660-2EL - Wireless works sometimes, but mostly not. Wired connection is ok. When does not not Fn 8 does not appear and the wireless card does not appear in the devices.
    Pilot was handed in place.

Have tried reset default and many other things - yesterday was working - light today and not...

    Help!

    Hello

If the wireless network adapter does not work or its lack in the device, the FN + F8 key combination Manager would not work.
So the problem is your wireless network card.

The WLan card driver is missing or malfunctioning of the WiFi chip.
The device uses the Realtek RTL8188CE WLan card.
Have you installed the chip RTL8188CE WLan driver?
    Make sure what you've done!

Otherwise, if the WLan card is not listed in the Manager (no unknown device or Ethernet controller) devices marked with yellow exclamation point I guess that the module is faulty.

  • Satellite U200 with Win XP - utility to change device display does not work

    Hello

I think there was nothing wrong with its installation since I encounter the same problem.

New installation of win XP on a satellite U200 Pro.
Windows XP Home edition upgrade to sp3 immediately. Then downloaded all the drivers based on serial number of the toshiba Web site and then installed in the same order as shown in the list of installation but I get the same error as sjoemie1 when I tried to install "hotkey to display" etc.

SOMEONE KNOWS HOW TO REINSTALL THESE TWO FILES?

    Hello

The v6.05.00 of the common Modules for Win XP should be installed in the first place.

In addition, there are two tools called

    * Utility Hotkey to display v3.4.4.1 - XP devices *.

    and

    * View edit the v2.3.0.0 device *.

The two part of the software allows you to display on screen LCD LCD + CRT or CRT mode by pressing Fn + F5

So if you have problems to install the first utility, forget it and try another.

now the keys function change and for example for that F3 is hanging the PC. and I don't have the function to adjust brightness

How to cancel the installation of the value Pack. I don't see the uninstall program

    Thank you!!

    Hi Dani

First of all you are on the track of good facility of value-added package.
This package came out for Win 7 and it contains additional utilities that control different features, like the FN buttons.

But to control the brightness of the screen with the FN keys, you need to also install display drivers. The C70-A-15F Satellite takes supported two GPUS: internal Intel HD Graphics 4000 (its share of the Intel processor) and him dedicated nVidia GeForce 710 M
So please make sure that both drivers have been installed.

How to cancel the installation of the value Pack. I don't see the uninstall program

You should be able to remove from the Add / Remove Programs (Control Panel control program → & functions)

  • My laptop brightness Fn key does not work with Windows 7

I can't turn down brightness, either using my key fn keybord or via the Control Panel options. I tried to use the drivers from the manufacturer's CD, but windows will not let me. What should I do?

It is "locked" to the maximum and it's really annoying!

Well, a few moments after I posted my last message, Windows Update offered me a updated driver for my NVIDIA GeForce 9300 M GS - and guess what, the screen brightness works fine now.
So for all those who have an NVIDIA GeForce 9300 M GS - go to Windows Update, for all others, be patient - a driver update will most likely solve your problem quickly!

  • Satellite A200-10N (PSAE3): Fn key does not work after upgrade to vista any time

After upgrading Vista-Home - Premium--> Vista Ultimate shortcut with the fn keys does not work, for example Fn + F6/7 (brightness).

New value pack installation has not been successful.
Moreover, after upgrading the drive to DVD from Toshiba is default, too.
    Who can help?

I didn't try any update on my A200 but you can try to follow: install Vista using recovery media delivered. When Vista starts for the first time go in Panel and you can find Add/Remove Programs option. Remove all the stuff designed by Toshiba.

When we remove everything, making Vista upgrade. After finishing Vista upgrade install all the stuff of Toshiba designed by order of specific facilities starting with added value package. Check please the download page if all of these tools and utilities are available.

As far as I know all the tools and utilities are designed as universal tools and I can't imagine that there is a difference between the version of Vista ultimate or premium tools.

DVD player is part of the image of the installations only and I can imagine that upgrade installation has changed something, but the upgrade procedure is responsible for this. I don't see any connection to Toshiba.

As I said I don't have a CD to upgrade, but if I find one I'll try to test it on my Vista (Premium) preinstalled A200-1CR.

Bye and I hope that you report your experiences with the Vista upgrade again.

    Hello

You laptop has Intel/Nvidia switchable graphics and search RTA the screenshot, it does not resemble the driver Intel is installed.

    Try the following.

Download driver Intel HD Graphics on the following link and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp72501-73000/sp72810.exe

Once complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver from the link below.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp72001-72500/sp72043.exe

When it's over, don't reboot not the laptop that you are prompted, rather open your download folder, right-click on the Intel HD Graphics package and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.

Once this done, reboot the laptop and let Windows load completely for a few minutes before checking.

  • Satellite P305D-S8828 keyboard missing my typing and FN + F9 does not work

    Hello everyone.

I'm new on this forum. Im sorry for my bad English right now. I hope I can explain my problems.
I just bought a laptop computer to the United States with a great price. It's a great laptop, but there are 2 problems and they have big problems of r for me.
It's Toshiba Satalite P305D-S8828 which is not available in europe, only sell in the United States.
    This is the link:
    http://explore.Toshiba.com/laptops/satellite/p300/P305D-S8828

Laptop keyboard seems kind and gentle and good typing, but especially on a msn messenger box or forum page response, when I type, he's missing part of my typings? I mean, I used to use my quick keyboard, but it's like he's not pressing all the buttons, but I really rely on the letters. So the things I write are mixed, not understandable cos of lack of the letters.

This isn't my first laptop. I used a bit more before, but nothing like this has happened before.
It doesn't always happen, but generally occurs.
I don't know what to do and this really do my head.
I use Vista Ultimate Turkish. Don't you think that it is an OS problem? Or maybe the bios? More later (v1.90) I heard the same problem happened to some Fujitsu Siemens laptops, but it has been resolved with a bios upgrade. I hope you understand my problem and someone help me.

My second problem is that my FN + F9 (function key) does not work. But some of them work, like FN + F1, FN + F2, FN + F3... work but FN + F9 does NOT work? :(
I want to disable the touchpad when I plug my usb mouse, but I can't do it using FN + F9. My touchpad driver is installed and my OS is Vista Ultimate. Could you help me for that too?

I hope that answering my questions.
    Thank you now
    all the loves of Turkey
    EMRAH

Go to the Toshiba site us and download the latest version of the BIOS. Having the latest version of the BIOS is important on the new models.

For the issue of the Touchpad, download and install the latest package of added value for the P305D and reinstall the driver from the Touchpad.
If you have installed the drivers for your mouse USB (for example drivers Logitech or Microsoft), remove them. They may be in conflict with the Touchpad
