Satellite M broken case series

I have a 106 and 107 and both arrived with cracks on the side of the case to the monitor. (3-4 years ago) now less than a week apart, the hinges have completely broke and the screen must be held manually.
Is this a common fault? Is - fixable? We are convinced that it is a defect with Toshiba products

Hello Donnie

In my opinion, you should contact the nearest authorized service partner and to clarify this issue. Of course, it can be repaired.
To be honest, it will be interesting to know what M Satellite you exactly.

  • Satellite C - broken screen series

Tonight, I ran my computer screen that I rested it down (not too hard, but he slipped a bit from my grip).

The laptop seems to work fine except for a problem with the screen. About 3 quarters of the screen does not work, it's just white background with colorful stripes and a large black diagonal.

Is this likely to be simply a screen broken, which could be solved by replacing the screen itself? I'm waiting to order a new screen, but I don't want to spend the money if the problem is likely to be something else...

I also said that it is relatively easy to replace the screen yourself. I did minor repairs on laptops / pc in the past (new keyboard/keypad). I don't have insurance/assurance and can not afford a pro. Is this something, I should be able to do it myself?

    Can anyone help?

  • Satellite Pro R50 - B Series 10 Windows shutdown problems

    Hi out there!

I wanted to just inform you on an enoying but reproducible BUG:

    Toshiba Satellite Pro R50 - B series:

You must disable the Intel Management Interface in the Device Manager in the contrary case, the computer laptop didn't shutdown completely / Standbymode will not work.

    Question (Bios V1.4 - Intel ME 11.00.1166):

Work more than 30 min. then try closing. Screen goes blank - but the LED on the stay before the fan stays on until the battery is completely discharged. Or try to go to sleep mode. Even the stop.

Just disable Intel ME Manager of year Windows devices you fine.

Waiting to hear from Toshiba - I m a reseller, so the same problem exists on > 10 notebooks here.

    Best regards, Bernhard

Hi, I have exactly the same problem with my Satellite Pro R50 and Windows 10.
Just installed the updated Toshiba Win10 drivers, but not a solution.

  • Satellite M60 recognize converet series, but not anything else, why?

    Hi guys again.

My Satellite is recognize the series converter I plug into a cable of multiparaller but there is nohing more. If it's that the series converter should - not recognize and pararell cable also? Maybe I'm wrong paraller cable connection?

Or soap operas is ok for the Satellite, but no parelles?

I don't understand what exactly you want to know. All what I can tell you is, that Windows will recognize the converter series / parallel, but not the cable itself, because there is no active component.

You will need to connect to a device such as a printer or something like that. These converters sometimes need specific drivers. Have you checked that they are installed correctly?

  • Satellite 1110-Z14: Broken cases-parts

I have already for a long time a Satellite 1110, some time ago came tears of the screen cover, now am completely down felt the corners until the hinges - too finally the right hinge is completely broken.

The laptop does not fall down!

Spare parts costs more expensive than 300EUR (by Toshiba Servicepartner), he would give the possibility of a "practical" completion

    Hello Tobias

I think that the parts are expensive because manufacturers have a lot of expenses (ie. warehouse).
In my view, you can see in the cheapest parts website or a second hand.
In addition, the alternative is Ebay.
I m you will find a good part of your device.

  • Satellite A30 broken PCMCIA slot

    Hello

I hope someone can help. Girlfriend was a little careless and broken the PCMCIA eject off when put away his Satellite A30.

Can't get a card to go into the slot so that it resembles a replacement is required.

So the question is how to replace the PCMCIA mechanism? I tried to remove all the screws of the cover, but there must be some well hidden fasteners that I couldn't go down the case to expose it.

Any suggestions for where I could source a spare in the United Kingdom? Probable cost?

    See you soon
    Steve

It a shame to hear this.
The PCMCIA location is hidden inside the laptop and it's not easy to replace for someone without any experience.
So I think you should really ask someone more experienced to laptop for fixing.

It of a bit risky to change what whether on the motherboard and you know a common user like me or you might damage something.

So contact an ASP in your country or a laptop service point and ask for fees. Don t think much more expensive s.

  • Satellite L300 - broken screen & wheel volume produce cccccc

    Hallo,

In any case, I own a satellite L300 and have for about a year now, I think and there many things broken on it, not really my fault, but I have to pay for it, so I was wondering if someone could tell me how to get it fixed/how much etc if I can do it myself / send it to Toshiba (which would cost a lot more wouldn t it?)

First of all, it has a broken screen, I always use because Ive had attached to a television screen that took me aggges to find and put in place haha, but the screen is cracked and only about a third of the left side is slightly visible, so Id need to fix this. BTW I have a not break it, terribly boring father-in-law did annoy me, long story.

Second, it has a little thing of button on the front for the volume that you can turn left to go down and right to go up etc, in any case, I was away from home for about a week and my mother used my laptop and when I got this little button has been broken, she refused to break and said I did but I was not at home for a week so I don't know how I did... So, every time I touch as long as this thing the volume button will what either straight up to 0, no matter how I turn it on, and if I'm on msn or a written document program whenever I touch the button he squirts the letter c and the letter b at random, so I don't know honestly what's wrong with it , here is an example; cccccccccccccccccccbbcccbcccc

Finally (and hopefully last) the battery will NOT stay in its holder thing, I don't know how that broke but I had currently recorded to and the slightest movement it will hit to and having her terribly boring to keep connected and have all these cords for connection to the screen of the TV and the power etc..

So I need to know how/who/what/when/where to get these fixed and how much. I'll probably have to save up for ages because I work on the minimum wage for a 17-year old, a huge $ 10 an hour, so I'm hoping that it does not cost too much.

I like my laptop and I really need to go to college next year, so I hope I can get it repaired at this time here.

Thanks in advance, hope someone knows what I am after haha.

If the screen is broken, then a replacement is necessary. The laptop must be disassembled and it is not easy! It s really complicated to remove all that part in good order and not recommend this if you never disassembled the laptop.
The new screen can be purchased from an ASP in local (partner), but it is not cheap!
    It s about $ 300-380

Had the same problem. It s seems to be linked to dirty contacts I could solve this cleaning contacts near the volume wheel. I used the jet of compressed air and I didn't remove the lids or plastic parts

The must be something broken I have no idea what you are doing with this laptop but it sounds like plastic parts, holders are broken and the battery (maybe other parts too) can not be fixed and mounted as it should

I think that it of better to sell this unit and buy a new

  • Satellite T135D-S1328RD - this series exist?

I searched for information on my computer (which is a Toshiba Satellite T135D-S1328RD), but I can't find it anywhere. I've been on the help panel, try to type, but an error occurs.

Follow-up of my series of the computer does not work neither. T135D-there no option in the choice of your computer in the list.
So I ask: where can I find it?

Some settings are on the Internet, of course (for example here: [http://www.cnet.com/laptops/toshiba-satellite-t135d-s1328rd/4505-3121_7-34025428.html]), but I wish I could get professional assistance according to my computer on page of Toshiba.

I will not add that my computer is from Japan, but the same - no info about it can be found on the Japanese page.
What is the problem with this series?

    > I searched for information on my computer
What information are you looking for?
    > What is the problem with this series?
I m a bit confused now. How to understand this issue?
Obviously this laptop model is designed for the Japanese market only if you won't find it on any other Toshiba support page.

Otherwise, install Windows on your tongue, set it up and have fun with it. Where is the problem?

  • Satellite C650 composed a series of beeps during startup

Bought new Satellite C650 laptop for daughter, managed to establish a wireless connection and load anti virus soft wear.
Laptop is now a series of beeps during the startup process after you log with password and before loading windows. Bleeps last about 10-15 seconds and count 20-30 constant beeps.

What this mean and how can I stop them?

    Hey Buddy,

This means that Windows does not start correctly and you can enter the password but it beeps again for 10-15 seconds?
    Well, that s very strange

If so, you are using the version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba or did you install your own version of Windows?

  • Ask about the maximum memory recognized in the Satellite Pro 4200/4300 series

I thought that the maximum RAM that could be recognized in the series SP4200/4300 of machines was the 64 MB on board, over a maximum of 2 X 128 MB tapes in the two expansion slots for a total of 320 MB.

However, I came across an ad from someone who claims to have managed to get recognized 448 MB (64 MB on board, 256 MB in a slot and 128 MB in another location) in a SP4270. This seems to go against what was supposed to be the maximum specification of 320 MB, consisting of 64 MB on board 2 X 128 MB in the expansion slots.

The accepted view was that 128 MB memory bands was the maximum that could be recognized in each of the slots. However, it seems that this employee have discovered that this is not the case.

Other contributors have some luck with the modules of memory of 256 MB being used/recognized by the machines SP4200/4300? The poster suggested that the machine could cope with a 256 MB module and a 128 MB module.

Any comments from anyone who might have tried this or variations on this? What two 256 MB modules? -Someone at - it tried?

I do not have this good old classic, but I can just confirm your info on maximum RAM. I imagine that the RAM for this oldie modules are not expensive. Why not take a risk and buy a 256 MB module.

  • Satellite C660 - Broken output Audio Jack

    Hello ;)

I'll give a brief overview of how it happened. I was listening to music, with the speaker cable plugged into the audio output jack. I myself am moved suddenly, not realizing the speaker cable was wrapped around my leg, pulling off so it out of the output audio quite violently. I quickly realized that I had broken the audio output jack and not the speaker cable, as the helmet also doesn't work at all and the stereo cable works fine in my flat mate's laptop.

My question is this: is it possible to switch the audio output with the mic/line Jack Jack?

It would be a very simple way to solve my problem. I searched in google and it seems that some people can do with their audio drivers/software. I searched via the software "SmartAudio' very limited in the Panel, and as far as I can tell it is absolutely useless. Windows possess sound settings gave the answer either.

In any case, is anyway that I can do this? And if not, which was to replace the sound card? Or is integrated into the motherboard sound card?

It's hard enough for me, being a somewhat creepy audiophile, any help in this matter would be much appreciated

    > My question is this: is it possible to switch the audio output with the mic/line Jack Jack?
No, I don't think that this is possible. The microphone and headphone jack are part of the motherboard
I m not very well if this tiny part can be replaced separately, I guess that's not possible, and in this case the motherboard needs to be replaced :(

Vista software has been installed and I have a cd of vista without be installed.

Then I have upgraded from Vista to Win7 home edition.
Now I want to format it to the system, but I don't know how to cope.

Question: How can I format my win7? Thank you.

    Hello

    You need the installation CD!

You didn t receive the recovery disk because there is a pre-installed tool called creator Toshiba recovery disc.
Sometimes it is useful to consult the manual of the user which is preinstalled on your laptop. You know

If you need the disk to reinstall the OS and the recovery disc can be ordered here:
