Satellite M100 does not illuminate unless the AC adapter is pluged

I am also having the same problem with my Satellite M100. The computer does not illuminate unless the AC adapter is pluged and plugged into the power outlet.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem? The battery should be fine.

B.

Hello

Well, to me it sounds like a battery problem
Why you say that the battery must be good?
Have you checked it or because the technician?

In most cases if the battery is faulty then the laptop would have no power until it would be connected to the power adapter.

So I think (but that's just my personal opinion) the battery must be enabled (by technician, ASP) and if necessary should be replaced.

See you soon

Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.
Leave the laptop unplugged and then hold down power button / stop along 30 sec.
Then reconnect the two parts and check how the unit works.

In which case nothing would be visible on the screen, try replacing the RAM modules. Perhaps one of the modules is the troublemaker
Otherwise if the RAM modules are OK, the problem could be linked to the motherboard.

Trying to help my Nan with his laptop...
    Model is Satellite L350-170

All the drivers can be downloaded from the Toshiba UE driver page.

Choose your model of laptop in the form of download and the system that is pre-installed on you unit.

Usually, you need to access the Device Manager (in Control Panel) then we need to expand the area to network adapters and you will find the LAN and WLan card.

  • Satellite L735 does not connect to the internet (wired and wireless)

    Hello

I have a brand new L735 satellite, and I'm having a lot of trouble with internet connections.

When I connect to a wireless network it is the profile and connects but still then doesn't say: "no internet access" for two IPv4 qnd IPv6 connectivity status.
I tried troubleshooting, turing off the computer, and wireless network and stil back, but it does not.

The same phenomenon occurs with the workplace wireless, despite other computers that connect to this good (so it does not come from the networks). I also tried to connect to work with an ethernet cable but no luck.

I have the Atheros AR9002WB-1NG wireless network card and the Atheros AR8152/8158 PCI - E Fast ethernet controller.

I don't know what to do as the laptop is new and so it should not need to updates, all parameters are default, etc.. I'd appreciate some help here!

    Hello

Uninstall or disable the TCP/IPv6 and use only TCP/IPv4 protocol.
Also check whether in the properties of TCP/IPv4, IP address and other parameters are defined to assign automatically

I recommend also check the firewall and some security applications that may be preinstalled on your laptop.
It might be possible that antivirus or firewall block the laptop to connect to internet.

  • Satellite L635 does not illuminate

I have a Toshiba Satellite L635-S9320 machine today, when I turned it on it not to launch at all so I plugged the adapter and who got the white flashing of the LED DC and power LED orange flashing and the
computer does not respond to the switch that I wonder how to solve this problem.

    > DC LED white flashing and power on an orange flashing light

It seems that the laptop has developed a hardware problem.
The motherboard provides a code flashing, which means there could be a problem with electronic power supply

I think you should get in touch with the Toshiba ASP in your country that could control the unique parts in the worst cases the mobo must be replaced, but it's just a suggestion

  • Satellite L300 - does not connect to the grid

my daughter ran in front of me yesterday and ripped the power cable from the plug, and now the laptop does not connect to the grid. Is there a how to on how to disassemble the laptop so I can try to reattech the plug to the motherboard?

    Thank you

    Hi the horse stable,

In general there is no technical manual which can be downloaded. These user manuals are not for the public, and I saw manual user on the official website of Toshiba.

Which means you have to disassemble the laptop yourself or ask a maintainer approved assistance. You can also get new spare parts from these guys there, and they can help you address all of the issues of material. :)

  • Photosmart C309a does not illuminate and its power adapter 0957-2259 LED flashes.

I have a Photosmart all-in-in-one C309a.  A few days ago I started to receive messages from the ink system dailure, with the 0xc19a003e code.  I followed it to corresponding to a unit of printhead failed, so I ordered a replacement parts HP UK store on Friday, October 14, and it came today, Monday the 17th. Great rotation of the order of HP UK - thank you.

When I came to adapt to the new print head today, the printer does not illuminate.  No sign of the power of the power button, the buttons command or display.  The power adapter (model number 0957-2259) has a green LED which was (and still is) very quickly - flashing several times per second.  After that the power had been in the power adapter for a while (several tens of minutes I think, I wasn't timing it) noise started coming from the inside of the printer.  It is a kind of regular knocking and seems to echo the led blinks - but there was still no sign of power - including no movement of the ink/printhead assembly.

I tried to find suggestions online and I've seen a few posts on some websites that suggest that the adapter can be unloaded in some way - but they are almost exclusively on the PC.  Posts read as if there is some kind of capacitor which accumulates (too) charge and discharge it restores the adapter to the operating state.

I just reconnected the power again to see if there is no change.  After about 10 minutes, hit him coming back for a few moments then stopped.  I noticed that the LED on the AC Adpater was green fixed so I tried the power switch on the printer and it began to start.  But then hit him came back, the display panel started flashing white light and then complete disappearance of signs of life (other than sound knocking, which became intermittent, maybe 5-15 seconds each time).  The LEDs returned to.

And then after maybe 20-30 minutes with the power, the printer finally tried to start, the light of the AC adapter / CC has been stable and my computer thought that the printer was (briefly) online.

But the adapter light started blinking and now the printer behaves as if it has no power.

It seems to me that the symptoms is due to a problem with the AC adapter.  Then

    (A) that seems reasonable?

    (B) is there a way to release or otherwise 'fixing' the adapter?

or (C) is it better/more safe to replace the adapter?

    TIA,

    Chris

The adapter can be reset as described here.

    Hello

In the Menu start, open the all programs, open accessories, right-click on command prompt and select "run as Administrator".  In at the prompt, type the following command and press ENTER.

sfc/scannow                (Note that there is a space between sfc and /)

Let the entire process, then the output type and press ENTER.  Stop the laptop, unplug the AC adapter unplugged, remove the battery and then press and hold the power button for a minute.

Now, plug in the AC adapter without the battery inserted, start Notepad, open windows control panel, open Device Manager, expand the entry for the battery, on the right, click on and compatible Microsoft ACPI control method battery and select Uninstall - do uninstall not something else here.  When the uninstall is complete, shut down the PC, unplug the AC adapter, reinsert the battery and then start the PC on just the battery.  Windows will automatically reinstall the driver - leave Windows running for a few minutes. Shut down the PC again.  Now plug the power adapter (with the inserted battery always) and start the laptop to see if it helped the issue at all.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite U840 does not illuminate

    Hello

Yesterday I went to turn on my Satellite U-840 ultrabook and nothing happened when I pressed the power button. I left the laptop plugged in and with an external hard drive connected (and turned on) I had several times previously.

The LED lights up when the laptop is connected to the power supply and shuts off when it is not.

On the audit of this problem on google, most of the advice said to unplug the laptop, remove the battery and hold the power for 30 seconds or more, then replace the battery and power and it should work.

However, with this ultrabook, it is not possible to remove the battery.

Is there an alternative solution for this?

    Hello

Unfortunately this mentioned workaround does not work always and only if the laptop's hardware is not affected.
As an alternative, disconnect the power adapter and leave the laptop disconnected for a longer period of time, but I guess that's not very useful

I think the warranty to be valid, so in this case, you don't have to wait for some auto magic cure, but you should contact the technical service to check the hardware.

  • Satellite A200 does not illuminate

    Hello!

I have a Toshiba satellite a200, it lights, it gives me a black screen and 1 long and 2 short beeps, the only lights that light up are the witness of load and the light of the HARD drive, what's the problem?

I emptied the power from the motherboard and replaced the RAM.

Well, usually its nothing unusual for the laptop to do one or two short beeps during the startup process.
But if the laptop will beep and the system does not have a serious hardware problem may exist.

I'm afraid there is a problem of serious motherboard and no doubt that replacing the mobo would help you to solve this problem.

  • Satellite P205: Touchpad does not work when the new adapter is connected

I got a replacement charger for my Satellite P205 but put it has A 4.19 instead of 3. 95 has, they said that it didn't matter, but since I use the charger, I have the following problems:

-Does not load properly and turns off after an hour.
-The touchpad has a mind of its own when the charger is connected (windows opens if hovering over button, through the screan jumps when I try to move it, freezes and disappears)
-Charger Word to say the laptop plugged in but not charging

What can I do to remedy these problems, the laptop works perfectly when the charger is not plugged in?

    See you soon!

    Hello

I guess that the touchpad worked correctly in the past with the former sector adapter.
    Is this good?

Well, it seems that these questions are related to the new power adapter and I would recommend using a 100% compatible adapter.

Check the AC adapter s old part number and if the issues could be resolved using this adapter.

  • Satellite 210cs does not illuminate.

I recently met an old 210cs satellite, the first time I turned it on I got an incorrect checksum. Then tried again and after a quick memory check, Windows 95 starts.
Had the laptop down for about 5 minutes then it turns off, tried again the next day and it wouldn't start.
During his tour on the disk hard grinds once then stops, a few seconds later there is a dull thunk. All I get is a white screen. I thought it was a hard drive crash, but who would stop the bios from?
    Help, please.

    Hello

    The CMOS Checksum Bad Error is an error that occurs when the CMOS values are incorrect and the error message can appear for different reasons;
    It seems built-in.
    -CMOS battery does not properly
    -the BIOS has been updated
-the cell phone was off not normally

In your case I would ignore the last two points and would presume that your problem is related to the faulty motherboard or the ROM chip (chip BIOS).
Unfortunately, it looks like a serious problem, and I think that only a technician or a motherboard replacement could help. Is that a new party would be more expensive than your oldi. Then maybe you can visit some websites of auctions for a second hand mobos or a laptop another :(

  • Satellite M40 does not load before the BIOS screen

When I turn on my Satellite M40 unfortunately it does not happened on 7/8ths blue bar going across the screen.

That left me completely baffled as what to do.

Apparently, it could be repaired by removing the cables on my CMOS battery?

If someone knows how I would go all this? or have any other ideas?

    Thank you xx

    Hi Dec,

Blue scroll bars indicate that the Wondiows operating system is loaded from the hard drive. If this process hangs while loading, then it is likely that the hard drive itself is defetive or else the files that are being loaded are corrupt and cannot be loaded.

Interfere with the CMOS chip will not fix this problem because the BIOS has already been loaded at this point.

If you have access to a bootable CD/DVD (such as Norton Disk Doctor) then I siggest you boot from it and running a scan of your hard drive. Alternatively you can try reinstalling your operating system of the Toshiba recovery CD but it won't replace your own data on your hard drive.

  • Satellite M100 does not START

    Good, everyone

    I have 100 M Satellite
_when I turn it on it makes 8 signals and not booting not delivered.
I can't boot from the BIOS RECOVERY cd too.
It works but does not start.

HRR, RAM, all components are ok I checked.
    WHAT signals DOES 8 mean?

    Hello

What do you mean with 8 signals?
Sorry, but your statement is fairly general. This type of signals that you noticed?
Audio (beep) and visual signals (flashing LED)?

I assume you noticed flashing signals. Am I right about that?

  • Satellite L750 does not illuminate

    Hello.

I recently acquired a portable Satellite L750 who has a problem where it not light but annoyingly he teases me by working perfectly on rare occasions, it seems to me as if there is little hope for it. When I press the power button, the power light comes on for a second or 2 then goes off again, the fan does not turn and nor does the hard drive.

I got him pressing the escape key while pressing the power button, I could access the menu of the BIOS but I left it overnight after that day. In the morning, he failed put on, this time it remained under tension (e.g. fan, HARD drive, and lights were on) but apparently not POST correctly because there was no hard disk activity or anything on the screen. This has been rectified by moving the single module of RAM from one location to the other, after that it worked perfectly again and I was able to use it for 4 hours with no sign of problems that until ever I turn it off.

24 hours later the laptop is back to its original problem where only the power LED turns on for a second then it stops again. I tried the main thing of escape as before, moving the ram several times, remove the CMOS battery for a few minutes, but nothing works. I deleted each item one by one and tried to power on but the problem remains. I swapped the RAM module with a well-known work. Food looks good even under a load of 10 ohms. There don't seem to be all components damaged visually on the motherboard.

If anyone has an idea what so ever then I would be delighted to hear it, be as technical as you want.

First I thought it might be a memory problem since the first attempt to move the RAM module has helped to get the laptop to life. But since the good use of new modules of work does not resolve the problem, I think that the problem is related to the fault of the motherboard.

This is of course just my personal opinion, but I think you know that only a few rare parts could cause such problems. It could be a faulty motherboard, CPU and graphics card.
Possible RAM problem has been already excluded so probably it s a very affected mother board

    What do you think?
