Satellite M30: Error 0x47F after installing energy-saving
After you have installed the Toshiba Power Saver message: 'error 0x47F' appears. And the energy saver does not work. The error after each reboot Message apears, too. I tried to reinstall the energy saver, but I'm not helping. Uninstall is impossible, since WIN XP (SP2) the same error message appears or says: cannot uninstall because it lacks file... / Uninst.exe.
What should I do?
Hello
I assume that you have not used you delivered Toshiba recovery CD but only the original CD of Microsoft. However, you should check the forum for similar issues. There are several announcement about. You can use the "advanced search".
It seems that there is no explicit solution for this stop error message. In most cases, the unit with the supplied Toshiba Recovery CD recovery have solved this problem.
In this case, you should check for this possibility.

Is it possible to remove this message?Hello
As far as I know that this message can not be eliminated and it happens every time if you want to use the drive is not compatible. Always is it that all readers may not work with all models of laptops.
In this case, fundamental problem is the pin assignment. It is not the same in all players.

Satellite A660 - slow start after installing Win7
I have an A660. Satellite (model aus)
I installed the 64 bit version of windows 7 and starting to take more than a minute. I was wonderign if I used a retail drive and used the serial number at the back of the computer laptop would it not be a better facility.
Then, I would install just the stuff I need.Also, so I use a commercial version would drive recovery based HARD stop working? (because the commercial version may overweite some entries written in the section the drive boot HARD-now if I press 0 he goes to setup - if rerail version replaces this function would stop working?)
Thanks heaps.
Each Toshiba laptop comes with the Toshiba recovery image. This recovery image contains several specific Toshiba and utility tools that begin with OS and also some additional software.
What you need now is the right configuration. With other words, you can remove the unnecessary software from the system and stop all applications, you need the startup list t.
How to do this?
Press WIN + R > write msconfig and confirm with OK. The system configuration will be open. Go to the Startup tab and clear the check box in front of app you n t need initially to the top.Of course, you can install a clean version of the OS, but for product activation, you can use the product key from the sticker. This license is for the version of Windows that you have with your laptop.
HDD recovery works with the factory only settings. When you install the clean operating system, you will not be able to start. What you need to do is to create recovery DVDs after Toshiba s instruction how to do this.If you have any other questions please let us know.

Satellite 2210CDT: two problems after installing Win XP
Hello! Maby it sounds funny but I found Toshiba Satellite 2210CDT inside my closet, installed Windows XP (oem supplied with the mouse, I bought some time ago) and it works!
The only problems I have are:
* When the system is in hibernation, it is impossible to 'wake up' (I remmember in Win98 in this laptop there is problem);
* I don't really have the tools provided with Win98 came with the laptop (ie.battery status and so...)Appreciate the help, Mike
PS sorry if I post in a bad place in the forum, but this is my first post (I hope you can understend...)
Hello
Satellite 2210CDT is an ancient and you should be lucky that Windows XP runs on you laptop.
But this unit has been designed and delivered before the era Windows XP started.
I checked the page of the Toshiba driver and there is no drivers for Windows XP. I found drivers only for W2k and Win98.
Unfortunately, if you use the Win XP on your laptop you must do without drivers Toshiba, tools and utilities.I found a utility to do Hibernation for Win98 on the Toshiba site. I think that this is a utility that is important to use the hibernation mode. But as I said, it is available for Win98.

You can try this:
If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

Data recovery, if required:
1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.
2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.
3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:
http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html
Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
Download the Vista software from the link above.
After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.
Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.
Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.
Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.
Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.
Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).
Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
See you soon.
Satellite C660 - white screen after instalation image recovery
Strange problem. My Satellite C660D-1FM was a bunch of updates from Microsoft (did not updates for centuries as it was used by my daughter and not connected to the internet) and after completing it restarted and I got the Toshiba splash screen and nothing. Holding F8 gives the same problem, tried turning the key '0' and that was the same. Connected to an external monitor and it's the same thing. I can't get into the BIOS and everything seems fine.
Then, thinking that the HDD is maybe defective I mounted another drive hard and fully installed Win7 on a Microsoft DVD (SP1 and all updates) and everything works. Then, I thought I try and restore the laptop to factory settings by default using Toshiba DVD recovery which Id created. Worked well during the installation, all the installed DVD 3 and he's gone through the procedure installation, portable got at the end when he tried to restart it, rebooted and now back to the same error - Toshiba start screen is ok, but then he'll just empty. To convince me that I wasn't going crazy I then reinstalled Win7 my DVD of Microsoft and he moved very well, did all the updates and worked all day today with no problem.
Someone at - it an idea of what's going on?
Hmmm... something like that shouldn't happen.
Do you use the recovery disc for the first time?
Have you noticed the same result on both hard drives?Problem is that there is not much to do about it and there is no way to change it either in recovery installation runs, or later during the installation of windows is underway.
Try to set the BIOS to default settings and simply try to reinstall the recovery image.
Satellite M30 guard crashing after reinstalling and SP2
Hello
Can someone help me please. I have problems with my M30 Sat. It is 2 years old and I've never had problems with it before. However, I recently had an accident and decided to reinstall from the recovery CD. after reinstallation, I tried to download the service pack 2 and my computer crashes. I have not installed any other software and still keep having this problem. It's very strange because sp2 worked perfectly on my laptop until the recent accidents. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I reinstalled now for the third time and I am extremely frustrated.the error on the crash, I received was: * stop: 0X000000f4 (0 x 00000003, 0 X 86152950, 0X86152Ac4, 0X805f9f88)
Hello
That s too bad that happens. Have you checked the information of Microsoft Windows XP SP2 update on the page of the Toshiba driver? The pilot Sat M30 area, you will find the document describing which application must be updated to use the SP2.
I recommend you first check this sheet before starting any installation of SP2. -
New Satellite A200 is restarted after installing XP
Hi all
I hope someone can help with this problem.
I have a new Satellite A200 and made in the wake of the SP2 and matrix storage drivers.
I completely deleted all partitions on the disk and installed XP (slipstreamed version).
All going well until the first reboot and then it restarts just over and over again.
If I have safe mode of choice it loads correctly and I can't install drivers etc.
I wonder if it is a BIOS issue?
I tried to update using windows bios update for XP and it will not allow in safe mode.
The reboot happens before even starting XP screen appears, hard drive blinks twice, then it power cycles.
I hope that I'm not the first to encounter this problem.Any help would be appreciated.
Hello
Mhhh very strange to me, it looks like a software problem!
In Windows XP, the default setting is for the computer to automatically reboot when a fatal error occurs. If this fatal error only occurs when you stop, the system reboots automatically.Have you noticed the same course the Vista OS?
What you could do is to install the Vista from the recovery CD again, and then update the BIOS to the XP version.
After this procedure install the XP with all the service packs and the compatible Intel matrix Storage ManagerGood luck
L830 satellite - Bluetooth cannot connect after installing Win 7
I reinstall (Windows 7 Home Premium) on my laptop PSK84V-02400UAR Toshiba Satellite L830, and install all the drivers, but after you install all the drivers, I can't connect any Bluetooth device to this tour...
When I search using the Bluetooth window it shows in the search window and after a while ' * could not detect the remote device * ' *... Kindly help... awaitng your valuable response.
Can you please post exactly details how you installed the software and drivers Bluetooth?
I think that you have made some mistakes thereYour laptop supports the Atheros WLan card. Right?
I think that this Atheros WLan card compatible with BT as well. This means that you need to install a special driver that allows to share WLan and BT in a single module.This driver calls filter for Atheros Bluetooth driver package.
Therefore, install the driver Atheros Wlan, Atheros Bluetooth driver filter and battery Toshiba BT package.Then BT must be installed correctly and you should be able to activate it in order to start the pairing process.
Cannot retrieve the Satellite to factory settings after installing Win XP
I was running windows recovery then I chose 'delete all data... '. "something like that.
Then in the Middle by mistake I turned off the system.After that, I tried to start windows so was in error "missing operating system". I managed to install WINDOWS XP, so I could access HDD RECOVERY but nothing happened.
I tried pressing the "F8" key and also the '0' key when the computer starts to "toshiba" logo but it is still not send me any option to get my computer back to windows vista or you can say "out of the box.
One important thing is, while installing windows XP its show me this HARD drive recovery exist and 973 MB is free off 5665 MB. This means that I have still all windows and the drivers on the HARD drive. Now please help to return normal system recovery or BOX STATE.
> After I tried to start windows so was in error "missing operating system". I managed to install WINDOWS XP, so I could access HDD RECOVERY but nothing happened.
The installation of Win XP has damage and remove the Boot Manager and options preinstalled by Toshiba and backed by Toshiba picture.
This means that if you will be unable to retrieve the device using the drive HARD recovery option.
You could retrieve the device back to factory settings using only the Toshiba recovery disc! But I guess that you didn't create this disk is good?
Well, in this case, you can order this disc from here:
HP p6245d gives error beeps after installing RAM
My HP Pavilion p6245d desktop computer that has a motherboard of Foxconn H-I41-Μatx gives an error beep code of a short and a long beep after that I installed a 2 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 DIMM on it. The code of the RAM is KVR1333D3S8N9 / 2G, manufactured by Kingston. My system has a 2 GB installed RAM origin, but I would like to install an another 2 GB as it says that the motherboard can support up to 4 GB of RAM. I tried to clean the slots, reseatting RAM, reset the CMOS, etc., but not from their work. I also checked through the internet and I found out there a lot of people have the same problem. Hope someone can help on this issue. Thank you!
P/S: Operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.
Hello..
I would like to ask you something.
The motherboard gives you a beep sounds when the original RAM is installed on the other slot?
If your answer is Yes, then the slot is faulty.
It has only two instances when your PC gives you a beep sounds when the memory stick is plugged.
1. when the memory stick (live RAM) is defective.
2. his slot memory on the motherboard that is defective.
Find a stick of memory work on all locations on the motherboard. And mark that on which working memory is to give tone to the PC.
It would prove the functionality of your memory locations.
If you have any other questions or if this does not correct the problem, ANSWER.
