  Intel ProSet ONLY works with Intel WLan card and the Atheros Wlan configuration tool can be used ONLY if your have an Atheros Wlan card.

  You have Realtek so use windows own zero configuration WLan!

  I'm a bit confused after reading your ad. Replacing the HARD drive is so simply and can be done by anyone and I do not understand how the service couldn t be able to do this. for this action, you need 10 minutes and can be done without manuals or service manuals.

  If you want to do this alone, please follow these steps:
  -Turn the laptop
  -Remove the battery
  -close to the battery you will see HDD cover fixed with two screws
  -remove the screws and the cover of the HARD drive

  -Place the pack HARD drive on a flat surface (such as a desk) and remove the two screws flat head black with black head screws

  I think that you used just a WLan card is not compatible

  As far as I know that the laptop has been already equipped with a network based on your assignment and Mini-PCI Wireless card laptop works properly using the previous WLan card

  I just installed windows 7 and tried to install the card ATI drivers graphics & control center of ATI but it of the error messages. I checked toshiba Web site and it doesn't have this particular model listed so I can't get the OEM drivers.

  I think the problem is that you are looking for on the site of Toshiba wrong because on the site of Toshiba Asia, your model is listed and drivers available for download:

  Just search by Satellite M300. You won't find any Windows 7 drivers but drivers for Vista are available and usually most Vista drivers work also on Windows 7.

  First, you must be sure that your camera comes with the wireless network card. You can check this on two tracks. The first is to check the underside of your laptop.   There are some drivers 64 bit Vista published for these series, the sound chip seems to be Conexant and you will find the audio conexant driver as well.

• Satellite 1400-103: do I need a Wlan switch use a PCMCIA WiFi card

  I have been using broadband through my usb ports on the fixed network and have recently upgraded to wireless router hub to give me the portability. Having realized that my hub router does not come with a pcmcia card or of dongel I am looking to buy a pcmcia (pc card) card.

  My problem is that the laptop will allow wireless comms since there is no wire pass under the floppy drive as described in the manual and on later versions. Do I have this switch or card pcmcia will do everything what I need (there are two slots for cards available and the manual talks about ability CardBus).

  Do I have to worry about the ability of Wireless LAN in my computer or the pcmcia card will do everything?

  Ideally, I would just buy the pcmcia card, plug it in (plugnplay pilots to kick XP) and I won ' t need to do much more.

  Any advice on this would be appreciated before that I have spend £ 20 on a 32-bit pcmcia wireless card.

  I agree with chain.
  The minPCI wireless network card is not removable on an easy way and therefore the hardware switch is to enable and disable the WLan functionality in different situations.

  The PCMCIA card is an external card, which can be removed in 2-3 sec.
  The withdrawal of this card will also disable the WLan functionality.
  Accordingly PCMCIA cards don t need the hardware like wireless minPCI network card switch

  Satellite A210 doesn t support draft N WLAN cards. For speed N project the mobile needs of 3 antennas it must have 3 antenna cables. Your laptop has 2 antenna only cables if this doesn t N support project.

  You are right. Wireless laptop card is 3945ABG Intel Intel (Golan Heights) and the driver can be downloaded from http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?page=downloads
  I can see version 12.2.0.11.3 is available for download.
  Driver free download driver for Vista and with exe files extract it to a folder. Look later check this file and go to the Vista32Drv folder.

  Drivers are there and install them manually with WLAN Properties > install new drivers.
  This method works?

  So what about BT? The latest version is the most recent and you can install it on your laptop satellite.

  What you want to do with the BIOS settings exactly? some certain hardware components can also be disabled in Device Manager.

  In any case try to disable wake up on LAN in the BIOS settings.
