Satellite M305D-s4831 - I can not connect to internet

Model - Satellite M305-S4831 (brought to the black Friday)

Problem: I simply restart my laptop, and I can't go on the internet.
My modem and router that a sharuter works very well, the connection between my PC to the router is good, but can not go on the internet.
I went to the network and sharing Center, and the windows network diagnostics stipulate that:

"" www.microsoft.com"is not configured to establish a connection on port"World Wide Web (HTTP) service"with this computer."

I used the Toshiba recovery media disk (included when I brought my laptop) to restart my laptop.

You have configured the router with the data from your ISP (internet service provider)?
Without the right data you come out not and will not be able to reach all of the Web sites.

But if the router is configured correctly, then this could be a problem with your firewall software or its configuration.

I also read that different Anti Virus software may cause this problem, especially if you use different tools. A guy has had this problem, because it used the Norton Internet Security and Kaspesky. The two applications were not compatible and have blurred the internet configuration.

By the way; have you tried to connect via LAN or WLan? Check both!

    The error you received seems to indicate that there is a need to reset Winsock.  You could try running the FixIt program contained in this article, or the manual procedure:

  • Qosmio F30: Can not connect to internet with WiFi safely

    I recently purchaced a Toshiba Qosmio F30 laptop and have spent the better part of two days trying to connect to wireless internet. After constantly call Wanadoo (my provider) and accusing them for all this, I thought that the laptop itself is at fault.

    What happens is when I try to enter my network key (WEP), default is a different key that I can't see that it's all in the points! This continues to be and im am totally unable to enter my network key. Until it is I turn off security on my livebox thingy and connect unsecurely and as I live in close proximity apartments, other people can and probably will connect to my internet, and I am also told that makes me more at risk of viruses and other.

    I apologize for my lack of technical jargon, and that I can not give a more descriptive... uh... description, but I'm just a beginner and not the most in computer science.

    Any help would be appreciated more!... Why is nothing simpler!

    Have you tried WAP (shared key) instead of WEP.
    In this way, you will need to make your own key instead of having the it generated by the router.
    It is also safer.

    To do this, you must enter the settings of your router (usually http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1), enter the password provided by Wanadoo, then click Security. Change the setting WEP WAP (or shared key) and enter a 10digit password then you will need to enter it again when your computer tries to connect to the router again.

    It is best to use a wired connection to change settings, then disconnect the cable and wireless.
    If you notice that you are connected wireless to the router, and your internet connection is dead, temporarily disable the LAN (reactivate when you are satisfied with your connection works). This would happen if your computer includes your wireless network connection to other computers and the wired connection like you internet connection (even if there is no wire connected).

    It is also important to change the administrator name and password to access your router (this would prevent your neighbors children playing to change your settings).

    I have a WRT610Nv1. It worked perfectly for about a year until my internet whent out. I have reset my modem and the router and one day more late my wireless connection could not connect to the internet. I can connect to my wireless router, but I can't do it to the interenet. However, if I use a wired connection, I can connect to the internet. I have tried power cycling, releasing the ip - IP, MAC address, change the beacon interval, fragmentation & rts threshold, change the ip address of the router, encryption, disable my firewall, disabling of cloning to renew the upgrade of the firmware.

    I even bought a new WRT610Nv2 and had the same problem. I spent four hours on the phone with support linksys technique, and they couldn't help. Only, they went through the basics and everything I had already tried. I call the comcast tech support, and they say it's a problem of router and they can't help me.

    I have comcast cable with a modem of the RCA, a Dell XP laptop.

    Finally! I copied the MAC address of my wireless card and manually put in the MAC address clone. This does not work, then I went back and clicked on the 'Clone MAC from my PC' button (which I had already done a dozen times before). After ten days, I guess the stars were aligned and the network gods were looking down on me because he suddenly started working.

    So I'm crazy and tried to restart my laptop, and it still works. So for fear of messing with anything now, but I'm going to live dangerously and turn on encryption.

    HI I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP MY BLACKBERRY CURVE 8520 ALMOST WALKED OVER TO THE SANDBOX.  IT DOES NOT CONNECT TO THE INTERNET I TRY IF THE BB BROWSER OPTION AND WHEN I CHOOSE GOOGLE IT CONNECTS.  I HAVE ONLY A COUPLE OF DOWNLOADED APPLICATIONS AS THESE DON'T WORK PROPERLY, EITHER JVM104 ERROR COMES ON THE SCREEN.  IM REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH BB IT IS MY SECOND HANDSET IN ONE YEAR!

    • Open your browser, and press the Menu key > Options > Cache operations and CLEAR the cache and history.
    • Then do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to reboot (Yes, do this AGAIN).
    • Now, once restarted, try again the browser.

    I have 2 questions that I hope someone can answer.

     

    #1), I have a unlocked new Curve 9300 OS5, checked with my cell phone provider to make sure that everything was compatible before I bought it. My cell phone operator's cellular consumption and their internet settings etc is the same as AT & T, but I am not able to connect to the internet. The phone I bought was a phone that has been configured for use with AT & T. My operator tells me that Blackberry phones are the only phones that they were not able to get to connect to the internet, all other phones that they have had no problem with, nice huh?  I do not understand why Blackberry phones, even those which is suitable for AT & T does not connect to the internet via cellular consumption, even using the same codes, or what you like AT & T, or so I thought. Someone, can someone help me to understand this or put me in touch with someone who can, I think Blackberry would learn this so that the problem can be solved, I know several people who would have liked to have bought Blackberry phones, but decided to not not having heard about my situation.

    I just do a restore of the system on a gateway using Windows XP.  When I click on Internet Explorer it says "the page cannot be displayed" I went to control panel connections, network & internet, create the new connection.  It shows a map of the connected network.  I tried to create a new connection, but it does not.  Help!

    You will need to have downloaded it from other computers and install it. Note your computer model and make sure you visit the manufacturing site (Dell/HP/Ausu /...) and choose your model number. Download the related drivers for network card and copy to a flash drive, connect it to the pc and install the drivers.

    I presume you checked if your IE is set as the default program, and he has all his faults?
    Start > default programs > Set Your Default programs...
