  I have a Satellite Pro 6100 (PS610E - 02c 60-GR) 1.7 Ghz, 256 MB, 40 GB, 15XT and a Geforce4 420 Go (32 MB) graphic card. Until yesterday it was working properly.   I think that your problem is related to the BIOS.  The 700 series video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI in its motherboards up to mid-October 2012.  Your computer was released January 25, 2012.  You must contact the card manufacturer to see if they have a VBIOS update which will allow the card to work with your computer.

  When you reference the Flash card, I assume you mean the utility toshiba Flash Cards. in this case, I would say that you reinstall (i.e., uninstall and then reinstall) relevant Toshiba Value added Package for your laptop model. to locate the relevant Toshiba VAP, visit your regional toshiba driver. This should solve your problem, such as cards Flash requires the installation of files for your Fn + F keys (for example by pressing Fn + F6/F7 fades and lights up the screen), so I think that Vista is looking for solutions as the Fn keys could be involved. After installation, you can disable the startup Flash cards when the computer starts up, but do not uninstall the toshiba VAP.

  I agree with Maurice. If the drive can read a recovery media or any other bootable media there must be a hardware problem and I assume that the optical disk drive is defective.
