  It has always been used with wireless, but not go now. Got the main due virus reformat and reinstall XP Professional. Everything's fine, everything works, but found a yellow flag in device manager for the ethernet controller. Have tried all the drivers available, nothing helps. Help me here, please.

  I bought a new Satellite A100 (PSAA8) and re-installed Windows XP Pro. I downloaded some drivers including Intel Display Driver and Flash Media Driver, etc. from the web and installed. But I can't find the driver for video controller, so I still have the questionmark beside the video controller in Device Manager. Do you know what kind of driver he is?   I bought the above specified A200 and had with Vista. I'm on Windows XP SP2 home edition on it because Vista was dealing well with my audio production programs.
  As Toshiba did not provide a cd of drivers for this laptop I had to find my way on the net. a lot of time but succesfull except one: the Ethernet controller driver.

  Please direct me to it so you can remove yellow questionmark in my device manager (and use my ISDN connection on the machine) or please give some advice on this device so that I can google it. right now I can't find any info abt this EC device.

  I tried to install the battery-BT but installation to halfway there is a request to spend on something that is not om my computer, maybe it's the companions, stll not sure.

  And of course I know that toshiba here for the drivers. There, I had a few other drivers.

  It's almost as if the Ethernet controller on my labtop does not work for Windows XP Home edition, so there is no driver.
  I hope I'm wrong.

  Install the latest version 9.2.24 and I think everything will be OK.

  I just reinstalled Vista (my records of repair so so borrowed a Vista DVD of lost friends). I have installled the LAN driver (here) and can connect to the internet fine (via cable in any case, as I have no wireless).

  Anyway when I go into Device Manager, that the only problem seems to be that there are no installed driver for the ethernet controller, there is no information about drivers when I look in its properties and do not really know what I have to download. If it's something to do with the wireless, I looked at article in the knowledge base on how to determine which type you have and as I said, I can't find any info.
  It is not a problem as such, but I want to just correct if possible.
