Satellite M45-S359 turns off suddenly

Hello

Now I have the Satellite M45-S359 3 years. This week, it began to turn off all at once, without even stopping or in hibernation.
I noticed it get very hot, but I can hear the fan operation.

Can anyone help? Thank you

Your description leads to the suggestion that it is an overheating problem simply.
Computers laptop Toshiba supports protection against overheating. This feature is very useful because it prevents the equipment from damage!

If the temperature rises to a critical level, the laptop stops automatically.

Now, you ask why the temperature is too high? Well, this could happen if the internal cooling module is not working properly because of the dust and debris inside the laptop.

Generally, it should be possible to clean the fans using a special compressed air jet that can be bought from most of the computer and the laptop dealers.

If this does not help, I would recommend contact the laptop to a professional cleaning technician.

Best regards

    my laptop is 5 years
    What should I do?
    thx for you answer

I think your laptop is quite full of dust and I can imagine that cooling rack is blocked so that your laptop is unable to catch his breath.

Believe me, that cleaning can help. Best thing you can do is professional cleaning. In this case the laptop must be disassembled. Otherwise, you can buy compressed air and try to clean it.

    Hello

you have always guaranteed on your machine? If Yes, then you must contact a local servicepartner for a hardwarecheckup.
I mean what sense wants to know what this flashing code means? You can when not even repair your computer by yourself, because it
code flashing sometimes means some material poroblem serious and controlled by a technician from toshiba.

Just take my advice and bring your machine to local servicepartner, they will help you. Under the following link you will find an index of ASP that will guide you to the second (next) servicepartner available in your country:

Please do two tests for us:

  • Satellite Pro L650 turns off after start; DC In and Power LEDs blink on stop

A friend Satellite Pro L650 having worked well until yesterday, all of a sudden turned itself off. Now, at startup, it lights up normally for about 10-15 seconds before turning off suddenly. Turned off, the DC in white/blue LED and the orange Power LED Flash on a broad set of intervals of approximately one second. This extinction happens if I leave Windows or press F2 to enter the BIOS setup.

I guess this blinking is intended to serve as a kind of diagnostic code, but I have yet to track down what it means. Can anyone help?

To avoid confusion, power without the product stack the same, sudden stop experience, except the two LEDs remain solidly lit this time. With or without battery, trying to turn on again immediately after that a shutdown produced no response at all. Remove the power cable and immediately it reconnect again and turn then produced a brutal power off, but in less than 5 seconds. More wait between attempts to market seems to give a little longer powered on State, but without fault, the machine turns off just suddenly. With its short time 'turned on' we are talking, there cannot be any kind of thermal protection?

I had an old Satellite L450D lying around that uses coincidentally the same AC PA-1750 adapter, but use it made no difference. Of course, the battery does not have the L650!

The only previous numbers, that I am aware of this machine have been intermittent case of Windows reporting "Plugged in, not charging", but as my friend use it exclusively on the network, it was not a problem.

Your thoughts will be greatly appreciated...

    WTF?

    Can help.

    HI Fanny,.

Any graphic activity will tend to make your laptop run more hot and therefore sufficient cooling.

Make sure that your airway through the CPU radiator is not clogged with dust and debris (a lot of discussions in this forum about this) and also ensure that there is sufficient air under your laptop knife get in the fan air vents.

    Hello

you are somewhat familiar with computers? If not, I suggest you bring your machine to a local service partner (http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?subs=tais)
If Yes, then firstly make a few hardwaretests. You can make them with tools like "Memtest86" for memory or "Prime95" for CPU and RAM.
This software is on a windows live cd for computer-maintenance as the UBCD4Win (Ultimate Boot CD for Windows) which contains a lot of useful tools and diagnostic programs.
    Here´s a link:
    www.UBCD4Win.com

    Other means can be:
Clean the CPU fan, try to remove the RAM (maybe), maybe the power adapter is defective or maybe the battery.
It s a little more difficult to find these things, but often it s really good to use this live-cd-system and check the system.

So, try it (or not :)) and give some information about what happened, maybe to give more detailed information about the behavior of the machine.)

    Welcome them

  • Satellite series A turn off for the game Command and Conquer 3

    Hi all

This happened to me twice. While I was relax play skirmish Command and Conquer 3, computer laptop turns off suddenly. I was running an external power supply and the battery was full. What is even more strange, it was impossible to next turn to the until I removed the battery and plugged in.

I bought this game around March and was able to beat the 3 campaigns without these attractions.
I suspect that this may be caused by overheating, because after the laptop is pretty hot. What do you think? I bought it in January.

In my Office I occasionally removed the fan and radiator vacuum, there accumulates a lot of dust sometimes. It is not easy in the case of laptops. Any suggestions? See you soon.

    Hello

You should do a bios update, because I had a similar problem with my A100 and after updating the bios to the version the most recent (5.60) I had no problem more. Maybe it helps.
The other thing is, if you have a ventilation system which is clobbed with dust, then you should take a container with compressed air (you can get it in every electronic market/store) and gently lead some air to breath through the ventilation holes. (like 2 seconds. Wait, then wait 2 seconds and so on; just make short sounds :))
    Then, ventilation must be clear.
Otherwise bring your machine to a service partner for a checkup of material because some loose cables inside the machine could probably be a reason that the machine feeds not correctly on...

    Welcome them

  • 2-3 days after the expiry of my warranty of one year, my computer turns off suddenly during use. I rebooted, but it stopped again.

2-3 days after the expiry of my warranty of one year, my computer turns off suddenly during use.  I rebooted, but it stopped again.

The model is that the computer runs for 15-30 minutes, then suddenly stops, the system reboots, runs for 2-3 minutes, stops, restarts, spans less than a minute, stops, restarts, stop after a few seconds, etc., and at that time there I give until the next day when I repeat the same cycle all over.    I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit and it is a model of Dell Inspiron 518.  There is no error message but a beep at startup upward.  I ran Windows repair program 'Start' who did a restore without success.  The problem occurs even in Safe Mode.

Does anyone have a guess as to what is the diagnosis?  Thank you.

    Hello

Could be hardware or even heat and ventilation the related. Try using a small fan to increase ventilation. When a PC
Remove ALL power and reinstall the memory, all cards and cables (do just not shake - remove and replace-)
cables on both ends where possible).

As it does in Mode safe so you probably need technical support in a real store of the computer - no Peeks/leeks at BestBuy or other large shopping areas. Very difficult to solve if it does not remain under tension.
It remains under tension if you start from the disc of Vista?

  • Adapter wireless turned off suddenly on my Satellite A500

I have a laptop Satellite A500, on an old win7, a year and a half. Since the expiration of the warranty all started to go wrong and break spontaneously.

Last night, the battery ended his own life, and it will now work on the sector. As soon as this happened, the wireless adapter also stopped work, behave as if I had flicked the switch at the front. A small red cross is in the lower corner, saying: no connection is available. Troubleshooting the connection says that the wireless card is disabled. If I go into the properties of the adapter, it seems turned on, it says the device is working properly and "allow windows turn off automatically" tab in power options is not checked.

Is there anything else I can try? Buy a new battery would solve this problem?
