Satellite M50-130: no display after the passage of the external display in main monitor

I have a very strange problem.
My brother was on his user space as soon as possible and I managed to get the secondary monitor for main monitor and disable the screen of the laptop back, however, when it comes to me, it won't happen...

Well, any help would be appreiciated.

Hello

Could you please be clearer? Is it possible to see something on the external monitor?
Do you see something? What happens if you use the function FN + F5 device display?

I put t know how you managed to set the external display as main screen because on my laptop, this option is grayed out.
However, you should see the laptop if you will start Notepad in safe mode. Please check!

    Hi all
I want to put in place the video driver Dynadock see the external monitor as primary monitor:
I have difficulty option 'Mirror', but I can't change the resolution: it is set at 1280 x 1024 but I see 1280 x 800 (as in the laptop monitor) with the large black bars on top/bottom of my screen (losing a part of my screen 19 '')
I guess if Iget 'turn off' the netbook monitor and adjustment of the external Dynadock monitor as primary monitor, I would see fine at maximum resolution (in the same way as if I connect the external display on the laptop VGA port: it works fine)
    Any suggestion?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello januan,

If you set the 'mirror' mode, you would have the same resolution on the external monitor, the internal display.
In this mode you cannot set a resolution higher on the monitor station on the inside.

If you set "extend mode", you can set different resolutions.

I have a horrible feeling that there may be data recovery for the operating system on a hidden in the drive partition.

  • Drivers XP for Satellite M50 - 130 PSM51E required

    Hello

I think I may have made a big mistake.

An elderly parent gave me his Toshiba Satellite to "clean". I just ahead and reinstalled XP Home on thinking that I could simply reinstall all drivers by downloading the Toshiba web site. (as I have done for other portable parents)

XP Home installed using an existing drive and use the MS code on the label under the lap top.

However, I am now very nervous because I can't find the drivers on the Toshiba web site for this product and I have a load of unknown/other devices in Audio/video/ethernet/mass storage device manager.

I took a guess at the wireless driver and have wifi work so I'm online and you have activated Windows.

Can someone point me in the right direction for all drivers please.

  • Satellite P300 itself keeps restarting after the initial splash screen.

My Satellite P300 itself keeps restarting after the initial splash screen.

Start-up of the first screen with the F2 and F12 options down is displayed, the screen goes black, then a cursor appears in the upper left corner and flashes once or twice. Then the laptop stops and restarts and goes through the same process again and again.

That's all with the power adapter is plugged in. If disconnected, he goes through the above process and close with no reboot.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Start your laptop and enter the settings of the BIOS (F2). Set to its default value. Restart your computer, and press F8 to access the advanced boot menu.
To start the laptop in safe mode and let us know if it works, try it please.

  • Re: Satellite Pro A200 - black screen after the BIOS screen

    Hello
I'm new to the forum and have a big problem. So, any help is welcome and appreciated.

My Satellite Pro A200 turns black after the BIOS screen and a black screen with a blinking cursor. Also just as the screen goes black a beep can be heard which shows windows boot.
I can access the toshiba Setup screen but not the installation of security mode.

    Kind regards

    Hello

You wrote that you can access the BIOS, but have you checked if the HARD drive is recognized properly? Perhaps because the computer cannot start HDD isn't recognized then you should check this.

If the HARD drive is recognized, I would try a Toshiba Recovery disk recovery facility. It seems that Windows isn't able to start and if you reinstall the whole system should help get rid me of this. Go to the start menu and select the CD/DVD drive as a boot device.

    Check this box!

  • Satellite Pro 400CDT not start after the display of a stack

I have the same problem as this post:

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=16837

    Is there a solution yet?

It is with a very old laptop 400CDT Satellite that I use to pay my car. What happened, I lay laptop running on battery until it went flat and now I can't start laptop with or without battery (and connected a/c)... turns on, it don't think light for 1 second, but nothing on the screen?

    What this may be?

No one can tell you with certainty what can be the problem. We can only speculate, but just after the exact diagnosis laptop you can find more information. As you can see in another thread, there is no universal solution, and I assume that you need professional help.

BTW: one thing I didn t understand. When you turn on your laptop, don't stay laptop but nothing showed on the screen or the computer laptop immediately switches off the POWER?

  • Satellite M50 - 130 - Touch and launch software does not

    Hello

I recently had my reinstalled M50 - 130 as he had a huge virus problem and the man who did it, did not reinstall all my drivers and utilities, so I've downloaded from the Toshiba page.

Problem I have is that the software ' touch and launch "doesn't appear when I clicked through my Start menu or via my computer, I tried, put it back, but not luck. Anyone got any ideas? Because miss me it!

    Thank you!

    Hello

The launch and the Touch utility is available on the European driver from Toshiba website. It s a 1.2.7.0 version. The Touch and the launch is a program to facilitate various functions using the touch pad.
After installation, you should see it in the touchpad settings.

You know the installation of drivers and tools?
It s a little more tricky, the proper installation order is necessary to run the application correctly.
You can find the installation instructions in the document of Toshiba, which was placed on the driver page.

Believe me, many years ago, I was a newbie to Toshiba, but since several facilities of OS on my two computers laptop Toshiba, I discovered that the proper installation order is very important and necessary.

    So check it out buddy

  • Satellite M50-266 - strange scratches on the screen

    Hey,.

After 4 weeks of inactivity, I turned on my Satellite M50 - 226 (bought in May 2006) and saw some strange scratches on the screen. I have a built-in ATI Radeon X 600. Already I have updated all drivers, while ATI Catalyst does not recognize the graphics card. So I tried the Omega drivers alternative, which does not help somehow.

Please see a screenshot here: http://designest.de/exchange/m50-226.png

I thought, it is clear that the graphics card is broken.

What do you think, is there an (easy) way to fix?

    Thanks for the tips,

    Mike

This problem is the reason why you use the Toshiba drivers no.
ATI drivers are not designed for the use of the laptop.

Then uninstall all drivers Toshiba no and download the latest directly from Toshiba:

  • Satellite M50-130 does not BSOD appears

The M50-130 apparently won't let you run unless it is on the lowest power setting imaginable. At first I thought it was windows, reinstalled, even tried linux, same blockages.

Blockages were handed over to instant zero or random messages on the BSOD. He continues to go with power setting as low.

The strange is that he is not a homogeneous heat since I left it off and even without a block or anything plugged for hours and even in this case got the symptoms. To make it work, the only way is to leave the lowest imaginable setting on the thingimagy of power on the taskbar on the cpu and leave it there.

I have used it on the establishment of an average of one day and worked, but then he hooked again on a game.

I thought at some point it is the RAM, nope, checked and was not the only mistake I could get on the verification of memory, but a blocking/total system reboot.

Then I thought it was the omega drivers, I replaced the with the default drivers of toshiba, always the same. Of course, I'm afraid that these driver updates could have a damaging effect, but anyway.

The behavior of the random/blockages on BSOD messages seem to be quite randomly, but it seems to stabilize when I boot just windows and leave it on a lower power setting, I did ('1' constant cpu, consumption of energy optimal or 2 ")

There is no guarantee and I really need a laptop NOW, so you'll understand that I'm left with two options: either quickly fix any way I can, or just buy a new laptop.

    Hello Lela

Your troubleshooting is really impressive and everything you've tried is good, but you should ask yourself is it really something else you can try? I don't think so. If the problem persists after the installation of clean operating system (recovery image) then there must be a serious problem. I can't say with certainty what may be the problem but the technicians of the authorized service provider.

Make a call and let check the laptop. They may be able to fix this YOUNG.
Sorry, but I don't really see another option for you.

In the end I just say: compare the price of repairs with prices of some new notebooks and I believe you all need to make the decision.

  • Satellite M100-233: stops right after the "XP" logo

    Hello
I have a Satellite M100-233 with XP Home Edition SP3 (in Portuguese)
When it is connected to the mains and the battery is not fully charged, sometimes the yellow light does not shine.
Check the voltmeter application when this happens, tells me that the battery is on, the energy source is the sector, but the battery runs down.
As I continue to use the laptop, the amount of the battery is reported as progressively less, until he tends to zero, then the laptop just turned off, as if she was not connected to the mains.
Even if I start with the battery charged to 100%, after a couple of hours (sometimes more, sometimes less) the same thing happens.

From an authorized dealer, they told me that it was probably a short battery shorted out.

Get not that: * if she take the battery out of the laptop and turn it on:
-Most of the time it turns off right after the "XP" logo.
-It seems that this happens more often when the battery was fully charged the last time that I used it (strange! "I imagine this?)
-Also sometimes happens after that I use the laptop for a while

The only unusual bios message I get is "no TPM or TPM has a problem." I guess it has to do with the cryptographic protection, so I imagine that this has nothing to do with this issue.
About two years ago, there was a problem with the battery (it ceased to be recognized as present by the laptop) which has been repaired under warranty: they told me that they had replaced the motherboard then. However, at this time there that I could continue to work normally without the battery, which is not the case now.

I would be grateful for any advice. The most annoying is that this problem follows an irregular pattern, and the diagnosis, the dealer gave me seems hard to believe. As I use my laptop to collect data for research abroad, it is quite a risk for me to use it if I can't be sure when it will turn off on its own.

    Hello

To be honest, I doubt that anyone here in the forum would be able to provide an exactly the answer to this question
I think that it of almost impossible to say what's wrong without running any hardware checks.

But to me it looks like a card mother number possibly it s power of electronic power supply which is part of the motherboard.

What to say, maybe you need a new motherboard, but the new mobo is an expensive item, and in my opinion, you should first check if it is s to replace the motherboard or buy a laptop second hand for the same money.

I have a Satellite L300 1A 3 MODEL PSLB8E. I decided to update the version of the BIOS, thinking that he can resolve my issue of ethernet controller.

But after the update, my laptop goes on infinite blue screen of death. How can I recover from this injury?

    Hello

Did you choose the good BIOS update for your model? Was it for Satellite L300 PSLB8E?

    What code you get BSOD?

After the BIOS update you must always load the default settings. Maybe a bad BIOS setting is causing this BSOD.

  • Satellite L300 - will not start after the installation of Skype

My Toshiba Satellite L300 won't start after installing Skype.
This happened to someone else, and can I do?

    Thank you.

I think Skype is probably the most used messenger and ideal application for communication.
It is professionally designed and programmed. As you know in recent years, it has been offered in many different versions and it is always better and better.

So I think that Skype itself is probably not the problem. I know that a lot of people also use Skype and I've never heard problem described.

Anyway, what you can try is to remove Skype and try to install it again. Try also push the BONES at that earlier time. Maybe some Microsoft updates are responsible for the stability of the software.
It's really not easy to say what the problem is here.

  • Re: satellite A300 screen turns off after the toshiba logo, will not boot from the CD/DVD

Hello, I have this problem with Toshiba satellite A300.

I deleted several files and folders of my drives C and E. To restart the computer, it only shows the Toshiba logo then a slightly gray white screen on a thorough inspection. Whenever I press CRL + ALT + DELETE, the computer restarts and behaves in the same way.

I tried to use an external monitor, but there is no difference. The tent to start using a CD/DVD, same behaviour occurs, it does not start and screen remains blank after the Toshiba logo, I tried even to change g the order of boot, but in vain.

    What could happen?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

It seems that you deleted system files and Windows no longer starts. Have you tried to restore the disk image factory settings or hard drive recovery? Or do copy the Windows installation... It is easier to reinstall rather fix the problem.
