Satellite M60: USB devices do not work

Hello...
I have a Satellite M60 and all USB devices with microphone (webcam, VoIP phone) do not work.

If someone could help with some suggestions, I would be grateful.

Hello

What do you mean by "not working"? The operating system recognizes external USB devices?
Have you installed the drivers of these external USB devices?
I also have a webcam and I had to install the drivers provided to use the device.

    Hello

I have trouble with me laptop C650. USB ports yesterday do not work after you connect USB stick, SD card or some.
Now I don't know if it's a hardware or software error.
I tried to restore the system, change the USB drivers, perform the maintenance of PC and check the antivirus, but nothing did not work.

    Laptop computer ads?

    Thank´s for more info...

    Hello

You can try to refresh the USB ports and the controllers that appear in Device Manager.
Disconnect all USB devices and go to Device Manager.
    Here, expand USB area controllers.
Now delete all USB host controllers and hubs root USB in the list.
After this reboot of the laptop.
Finally, the Windows operating system should start and should recognise all USB devices once again. Now connect a USB mouse and check if you can use it.

  • Satellite A300 - USB drives do not work!

I have a satellite A300 and it has 1 usb port on the left and 2 on the right. The one on the left works perfectly well, but both left work at all which is really irritating.

When I try and use the 1st, a bubble pops up saying: peripheral USB not recognized and when I use the 2nd one nothing happens at all. Ive downloaded the lates bios update, but it did not work.

    Help please!

Have you updated the chipset drivers? Here, you will also find Toshiba Europe site where you downloaded the latest version of the BIOS.

It could also be a hardware problem, but first of all, I would like to try a recovery facility. If you have the recovery disk try this.

  • PowerEdge 2850 message error, no display, usb devices do not work and all readers are off (a little)

Hello! I'm here in the dell community because I'm having an error with a PowerEdge 2850 server. When I boot it all seems to work, but inspection closer both blue and yellow led on the front is off. All devices (such as a keyboard) will not turn on. Supplies seems to work perfectly well with the error led out of power and both of the Green led on the power supply on. The drives at the front lights up but then after 2 seconds the led for every hard drive goes off and then when you reconnect the drives it will be on for 2 seconds then turns off.

    I tried:

Reset all RAM chips and CPU in the case

Replugin all hard drives from the server

    I tried multiple monitors

has tried just using the power supply instead of the power brick or a surge protector

and tried to run it only out of a raid, everything ends up in the same result

I have no idea what to do so im just going to ask the community of dell. Thank you!

    Hello.

What is the error specific are you? Try the system at least to the POST with the following components:

    • System Board
    • Processor
    • A bar of memory in DIMM1-A or B-DIMM1
    • Power supply
    • Riser
    • Control Panel and bottom of basket (necessary only when the last power state was off. Ensure that all USB devices, including the keyboard are disconnected.
  • Satellite L750D - USB Ports do not work

    Hello

a couple of days all three of my USB ports stopped working.

I tried several USB devices and none make their appearance as being connected at all (check start > computer > devices with removable storage).

The two on the right side of the laptop have never really worked systematically earlier and there again, but the left hand, we worked more or less all the time.

If anyone can help that would be great
    Thank you

    Hello

Have you tried to remove and reinstall the USB host controller driver in the past?
    If this isn't it.

Go to Device Manager and expand the controllers Universal serial bus tree
Here, the Generic USB hub and the USB universal host controller.
Delete all of these devices from the list of devices and reboot the laptop.

Usually once the system has booted, all devices removal must be found and resettled automatically. Wait until the end of this procedure and connect the USB device (ie the USB mouse) to USB port just to check the functionality.

  • Satellite M40: USB Audio does not work properly in ACPI mode

    Hi all
I just bought a laptop Satellite M40 whose purpose is to be used as a portable audio system.
For this, the USB audio devices are an excellent solution.

Unfortunately, although it was working properly when recording (sound is perfect with all devices compatible USB Audio, I have tested), there is a problem in reading that I had a lot of clicks and POPs.

After a lot of research trying and google, I solved the problem by changing the computer ACPI PC Standard mode.
    This is a workaround.

But this way, I don't remember what my status of battery, and my laptop does not shut down automatically.
Actually, my laptop is no longer run as a laptop :(

I suspect a very serious problem in a Toshiba components management. In particular, I wouldn't be surprised to be told that freeze the cords of some regular system of court management, and therefore the 10ms buffers audio USB fall in against the recess.

This would be so much bother me if I were not part of the technical support team of the company that launches also a few new audio USB products who will not fail to work correctly with laptops.

    My question is:
Is there a driver / updating bios that gets rid of this problem?
If a person of Toshiba technical support to address this issue directly with me, I'd be happy to help, as I am personally and professionally concerned.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I put t know what USB audio device you use, but most of the USB audio devices cannot use the USB power. These devices have need of an external power supply of A.C and especially this external power supplies are delivered with the USB audio device.

Also, I read on some sites that the pop occurs sometimes due to non synchronicity of the modules different buffers or / and of the use of certain applications in parallel.

The computer ACPI PC Standard mode change is one of the many solutions and proposals
You can check some patches from Microsoft. Check if all updates from Microsoft are installed.
Also change the performance options in the options of the system to adjust for best performance.
    Disable Windows messenger.
Virtual memory should be set to custom size and initial size and maximum size must has the same value (ie. 512/512)
In the system.ini should the vcache is also the same: MinFileCache = 16384, MaxFileCache = 16384
Disable the peripherals such as scanner, printer.

As you can see, these issues could occur on all computers (desktop and laptop) and it s is not a problem of Toshiba. Also, contact the manufacturer for support external audio device and detailed information.

    Good luck

    3. in Device Manager, double-click to expand the "USB Bus controllers", right click on the controller host, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".
Check that if at all, there is an exclamation point on the pilot, it suggests problems with the installed driver.

If the adapter is not still work after only two resets check to see if your Mac recognizes the device properly in the information system. However, if you do not see the device in system information, you may need to verify that network service appears correctly. In the Apple menu, choose system then Network preferences. You should see an entry similar to "Ethernet" on the left. If no, see the steps in the article below to add. Once add, test to see if your connection works with a disabled Wi - Fi connection.

    Hello

    > This problem start after a storm in my area some time ago.

Because other devices don't work properly and because procedure didn t get it back help you solve this problem, I think that the problem is related to the hardware malfunction possibly that the motherboard was hit by lightning, which would explain the problems

I think you should ask the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country to check the motherboard.

But in my opinion, that the warranty does not cover the issues of environmental impact maybe your household insurance could help you

  • USB ports do not work after waking up Satellite A200 from sleep mode

    Hi mate,

    already tried this:

Open start and type Device Manager and then press ENTER, to start Device Manager. Click on the sign + next to "Controllers of Bus USB" and then in the list, you should see some devices called 'USB hub root'. For each one, click right, hit properties, go to the power management tab and uncheck the box "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." Then restart.

Maybe it works. Another solution would probably be this Microsoft KB document:

If the USB ports are properly recognized in device then as Quad Manager said it could be an external problem. The USB port is 500mA power. If the external device requires more power to work in this case, it of necessary to use the external power supply.
