Satellite M70: Need WLan driver and his

Firstly all Hello everyone.

I am writing because I have format my laptop and now I'm trying to get the drivers on my laptop.

Downloads of the Toshiba site are very slow, I tried on more than 1 computer and very, very slowly. Something? There is another possibility for me.

Problem 1:
I try to look for the WLAN drivers but the only driver Toshiba site gives me is the Atheros, but I try to installed and nothing, can someone help me and tell what is the right driver?

Prob2:
For audio driver, I need to download virtual audio driver, or only the audio driver on the Toshiba site?

Thanks in advance,
Nuno Quitrio

First of all, you should check your notebook series and must choose the right because there are two different sets of M70.

In regard to point 1:
Either your laptop uses the Atheros Wlan card or and card Intel.
The two driver Wlan are also from the Toshiba WLan Portal:
http://APS.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

In regard to point 2:
The virtual sound is not necessary to get the sound on your laptop. You can install the virtual sound, but the audio driver is more important.

Greetings

Windows 7 is not released until the final version and that's why you won't find not all Win 7 drivers. In most cases, you will need to research and test

The LAN chip seems to be that the Realtek so you should get maybe driver Realtek LAN driver to go to the Realtek page would work.

The WiFi chip should be an Atheros so we're looking for WLan Atheros WLan driver that could be compatible with Win 7.

  • Satellite M70 - 147 - which driver I need for the wireless card?

    Hi all

I installed Windows 7 on my Satellite M70-147. Everything works fine, except the WLAN.
Does anyone know that drivers to use (perhaps a universal) to make this work?

I don't know what card is in my notebook, I tried the drivers of toshiba for adapters intel, realtek, and ahteros.

Your help would be much appreciated!

    Hey Buddy,

First you must make sure what WLAN card you have. Therefore, you can check the device ID and device for the provider Manager. Enter these codes on this Web site: http://www.pcidatabase.com/

You will see you have the WLAN card. After that, you can try to install the correct driver for your card.

    Good luck! :)

  • Satellite C870D - 11 X - Realtek WLAN Driver and adapter issues

I hope this is the right place for some kind of assistance. Last week, I installed a Windows Update option for the Realtek Wireless Adapter. Once it was installed, the wireless connection dropped after 5 minutes and the only way to restore it was to run the troubleshooter where he repaired, and then lasted another 5 minutes before going down. I couldn't find a sequel to uninstall the update, so very foolishly uninstalled Realtek adapter in Control Panel Add/Remove programs who left my PC without a driver.

I had to (and am still) attach my PC to my phone to use the Wi - Fi connection. I searched this site and found the Realtek adapter download and installed, however, its still does not. It does not detect the router home or any other nearby Wi - Fi access points. Windows diagnosis was performed several times, that he picked up that there is a problem with the Wi - Fi adapter, however, is unable to fix it. He said only: "There could be a problem with the driver for the adapter Wi - Fi" and when I fly over the result, it evokes "Windows could not automatically bind the Protocol IP on the network card stack.

I tried to run a restore of the system which goes back to the date that I've installed and Windows has just said that the restoration has failed. If I need to do a complete reinstall, it will be the 2nd time in less than a year since I bought this PC. Please can anyone help with what I can do next? Thank you.

At first, I must say that you should not install any driver that is offered by Windows update. Toshiba offers notebook with recovery image pre-installed that contains all the drivers, tools and utilities. The preinstalled drivers are tested and avoid a serious problem.

Everything that you have done is good and I think that there is not so much possibilities except to the Reinstall original WLAN driver available on the Toshiba download page.
    > If I need to do a complete reinstall, it will be the 2nd time in less than a year since I bought this PC.
OK, I understand that, but it does not depend on the recovery image, but in the way how you use your laptop. I phone 4 years old and always use installation of initial recovery with the original drivers and I have no problem.

Sorry, but maybe you should back up all your important data and reinstall the recovery still image, but after doing that doesn't change anything. Just install major update of Windows, and no more than that.

    Hi Klaas-bcs,

Your laptop belongs to the series of PSLB0A and that's why you can get all the drivers Toshiba Australian page:
    http://www.MyToshiba.com.au

You re right that there are different factors listed, but if you have a Realtek WLAN card you must download the Realtek RTL8187B Wireless LAN driver

    Check this box!

  • Satellite L300 - alternative need WLAN driver

    Hello

I downloaded driver WLAN for my laptop (L300 PSLBGE), and that this driver doesn't work, cant start of installation. I need wireless driver for windows XP.

    Answer me please, little time

    Concerning

    Hi kejtiheart,

    > the installation program cannot start.
    You get an error message?
You have unzipped the file before running the exe file?

New driver WLAN can always be downloaded from Toshiba WLAN Portal:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

What WLAN card you have and that you have chosen the right driver?

  • Satellite Pro A300-195: Realtek 8187 B Wlan driver and driver of Smartphone problem

I have a Satellite Pro A300-195, running a card wireless Realtek 8187 B and Windows XP Professional. It was working fine until yesterday, when I installed the drivers for my new Samsung Galaxy S2.

Now, I can access the internet if I connect to my laptop to the router using the cable ethernet, but if I try to do wireless, it gives me a list of networks, but it won't let connect me to one of them.

It is the installation of new drivers or is this some sort of weird of incompatibility between the drivers for both devices?

To be honest, I can't believe that the smartphone software would affect the WLan driver functionality but I don't know this smartphone software and so I can't say that for sure

Then first of all, you should check if you have enabled the WLan card on your laptop. Did you? Using FN + F8, you can activate the Wlan.

In addition, please check in Device Manager if the wireless network card is correctly recognized. Is there is some yellow exclamation points then it could mean that something is wrong here in this case it would be necessary to reinstall the Wlan driver.

The Wlan driver can be found here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

I recommend also to check the support page of the manufacturer of smartphone and check if there are a few known issues regarding this software

I ve never had a Lan Driver or the ability to connect to a WiFi network. I am currently using a BT voyager, but who has broken. Is there anywhere I can download Driver Lan or Wireless Lan Driver that will allow the connection to my WiFi network without using voyager external BT.

I'm sorry if this supposed doesn t. I tried various links does not.

Thanks for your time. Kind regards.

If you want to connect to the wireless network, you need the WLAN driver. LAN driver is not important in this case.

Usually, you can download the driver WLAN Portal Toshiba WLAN, the last link you posted. You only know what you have the WLAN card.

Have you ever tried this driver WLAN?

  • Re: Satellite M70-168: new HD and OEM license

    Hello

My Satellite is out of warranty...
Original HD (80 gb) broke, and it is impossible to find the same HD.
    I'll replace it with a HGST Travelstar 5 K 750 HTS547575A9E384 - HD - 750 GB - SATA-300.

    1. I think that 2 Sata (sata 300) is compatible, but work to only at speed of sata 1 (sata 150). Is this a problem?
    2. restore the operating system on the hard drive with the DVD created in the first inning, license is OEM allow this work, or block the restoration?

Sorry for my bad language... Frenchie Frenchie's

    Thank you very much.

Satellite M70 is old but good laptop and with the new drive HARD and clean OS preinstalled, it should work well. I had it a long time ago and if I m remembering well there connector SATA HDD SATA HDD can be used.

I think 750GB can be too much and I don t know if it will work OK. Used mine M70 with 320 GB of HARD drive.
You can test it, but please post comments.
    > Do to restore the operating system on the hard drive with the DVD created in the first round
You can use the original picture but if I m remembering well that old book has been delivered with the recovery disk (WXP Home) and I put t know what you have created.
    > OEM license allow this work, nor block the restoration
As far as I know, the license of the sticker belongs to the recovery image and you cannot use it for the activation of the operating system. If you use original recovery DVD that you got with your laptop you don t need. preloaded will be activated automatically.
