Satellite NB10T-A-101 - mouse pad does not work

I have a touch screen for Toshiba Satellite NB10T-A-101, the touch screen works very well but I use mostly the mouse pad I find using the slider easier.

But recently my guarded cursor freezing for a second or two and then to spend once again, but now the mouse pad seems not working with the left and right click buttons work but not the touchpad.

I made sure the touchpad is enabled in the mouse settings, so I don't really know what to do now.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thank you

Hello

Have Hmm you also checked the FN + F5 key combination?
This would enable and disable the touchpad as well.

But from my point of view, it would be possible that the touchpad module is malfunctioning.
I m thinking about the hardware malfunction because the touchpad buttons work and just touch the touch work area module doesn't correctly.

Usually, if the touchpad would be handicapped by any software, both; as well as the touch buttons does not work.

    Hello!

It's not easy to say what the problem is, but you should do an update from the touchpad driver.
You can download it on the Toshiba driver download page:

Furthermore, you have the problem only with the keyboard or an external mouse too?

  • Satellite L775 - mouse pad does not work properly

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L775. I run Win 7 Home Premium. My mouse pad does not work properly. I also have a Logitech Anywhere MX wireless mouse. I tried the mouse pad to work properly with the key FN and F9, but it does not work. And you really have no idea if that turns or out of the mousepad anyway, subj for another time I guess.

What does not work, but I have to do is to go to Control Panel then mouse option load that and just scroll the tabs without changing what each time and then close and the touch pad works. But only for this session. If I have my laptop nearby, or turn it off, I have to start throughout the whole process.

What's past and how to fix this?

    Thank you very much.

My built in touch pad does not work.  How can I solve this problem?

    Hi LisaGreenberg,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the mouse pad.

Before you start with the troubleshooting steps, I would like to ask you a few questions.

    (1) Windows operating system you are using?

    (2) what is the brand and model of the computer?

    (3) you receive any code or an error message when you try to use the mouse pad?

    (4) have you made no changes before the show?

  • Satellite P750-136 - left mouse button does not work

I don't understand what the problem is. My left mouse button does not work. If I put a little pressure on the Panel located under the button space then the left button of the mouse works.

What should I do? It feels like a hardware problem, since I bought the laptop in November my laptop is still covered by the warranty.

What you can do is to check the touchpad settings and make sure that everything is OK.
I'm don't know if you noticed this since day 1, but if you think it is hardware problem I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider as soon as possible. Warranty will cover all repair costs.

  • Qosmio X 870 - mouse pad does not work properly

    Hello

My mouse pad is facing upward and I don't know why. It works when I restart the laptop, then after a few minutes, it does not at all. I checked the properties in Device Manager and it says it works properly... which is not the case. I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled. He always does.

Not sure if this is related to some of my key of F does not not to my other thread - https://forum.toshiba.eu/showthread...ns-not-working

A question I've had for a while (which may or may not be related) is my TOSHIBA x 64 compatible ACPI logical value and general-purpose device has a problem. On the device manager says "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) ». I uninstalled and reinstalled this with driver Toshiba utility pack and it always happens with this error. I cleaned the registry several times using tuneup utilities 2013. It is probably not bound as it has been like this for a long time with no obvious side effects. But it's annoying nevertheless.

Maybe windows 10 could save the day (I'm on the 8.1). I hope. In the meantime if anyone has any suggestions I would be very happy.

Good, someone else who might find this is useful - it turns out that it was a hardware failure. My laptop hinge was loose, and therefore the case had to be replaced. He also replaced the mouse pad - now it works fine.

  • Mouse pad does not work properly

I bought my laptop toshiba 2 moths ago, but yesterday, my mouse pad no longer works correctly.

I can still use it to move the arrow on the screen but cannot use it to doubleclick on something else.
I need to use it in conjunction with my left hand button which is very frustrating.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas how to solve this problem, thanks

On this virtual path, it is not easy to understand what is the problem there. It is not easy to tell if problem described is related to the touchpad software.

Try to do system restore and roll back the OS a few days back and check if the same problem persists.

By the way: which laptop model you have and what operating system are you using?

  • Mouse pad does not work on Satellite C855-13D

    Hi, I have a SATELLITE C855 - 13 T.

I got the TI monthly and now the mouse pad stopped working. Both the touchpad and and right/left clicks don't work. I managed to connect an external mouse on the USB port that works very well. I restarted the laptop several times and also checked the settings of Control Panel-mouse, which indicates that the device Touchpad works properly. I also checked the option to disable the external internal when device is connected is also unchecked.

I would be very grateful if anyone has any advice on how to get this working again.

    Thank you very much

To be honest all you've done is just. You need to check if the touchpad is disabled somehow but if everything seems to be on the last and final test you can do is to install original recovery image and test the feature with the factory settings.

OK, it's a method more radical but more effective to check the operation of the equipment.

Please post a feedback about your decision what to do and result about if you try to check with the factory settings.

  • Mouse pad does not work

A few months ago my mousepad stopped working for no. (obviously there must be one) reason. I noticed it after that I started to share music with other computers on our network. At first, I thought that the red light was something to do with it, then I discovered that the little symbol underneath was a mouse pad.

My laptop no button on it that turn the pad on and apart, and properties of the Synaptics said that it works well and is connected to the right channel.

    Hello

Check with support of their documentaton online and drivers, system manufacturer and ask in their forum
(if there is one) that several will have keyboard shortcuts that will turn the Touchpad on or off.

Parameters for TouchPad located in the control panel - mouse (there may be several tabs with TouchPad entered)
and some come with a utility that loads in the Notification area next to the clock in the bottom right.

    ==========================================

If necessary: (make sure that you have restarted at least once, if the above did not work)

Panel of configuration manager devices - mouse and pointing devices - Double click on the touchpad - the driver tab-
Click on update driver (it comes may not do anything like MS is far behind the drivers of certification), now right CLICK
    on the TouchPad and UNINSTALL.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself (all in). RESET

This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad from working.

Here is the similar procedure under XP, Vista is the same, except that we need to clear the specific device if present.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310575

Then go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest touchpad drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

    I hope this helps.

  • mouse pad does not work anymore

    Hello

I had to take my laptop to Best Buy three times already in the last month because it stops just to work.  They insisted it was not a problem of HP or material and suggested that contact Microsoft because their suspicions, it's when a certain update comes through, it will start on the cushion.  Could this be true?  And, if so, why is that happening?  I don't know what specifically does update, nor do I have the time to find out.  In addition, I don't want to update the drivers EVERY TIME that happens to get my pad works again.  This is ridiculous.  I didn't buy this laptop with an eventuality I have to constantly update the drivers when Microsoft sends updates.

    Please notify.

    Thank you.

    TERI

    Hello

You can contact HP directly, if it is still under warranty factory... usually 1 year... They may be able to help without worrying because you have a warranty extended through BestBuy.

I have just returned your laptop to HP for touchpad\mousepad problems...

My question is a little different in this mine worked, but did not work properly...

When I tried to move the pointer, he'd try to scroll instead, or bring up the right-click menu.

Sensitivity fluctuate wildly from extremely sensitive, to the point that tapping on it would not make a selection, and I have to use a button...

Your most likely machine uses a Synaptics Touchpad. I tried all the drivers available. Some work better than others, but all have the same problem.

A HP technician informed me that it was probably a defective touchpad, or possibly to the main Board of the laptop...  The touchpad feels a bit distorted, as it has a hump in the Center...

It is with Windows 7 Pro SP1, not of Windows 8 and before Windows updates have been installed.

It is possible that Win 8 is somehow causing the problem, but my guess is that it's a hardware problem like mine.

For one thing... If the cushion sensor sends the wrong signal drivers not detect properly.

Sometimes reinstalling drivers will fix it temporarily, but it will not happen...

BTW... There is a setting that activates the light or not. Even if the light goes out it comes on briefly when you start the machine, and then after maybe 30 seconds it turns off... It is a function of energy saving do not use light.

Try to uninstall the drivers and restart the computer... It will then use Microsoft drivers instead of the custom. None of the gestures will work, but the pointer and buttons should... just as a test.

You can also consider getting a USB mouse, if it isn't to inconveinent. At least until you get a fix.

  • HP Pavilion 17: mouse pad does not work after replacing hard drive

    Hello

After replacing hard drive and installing windows 8.1, I can't use my mouse pad.

I installed the Synaptics driver but it didn't help.

How can I check that mousepad device is not damaged when replacing the hard drive and which also can I try to fix the mouse pad?

    USB mouse works fine.

    See you soon

The only way to be sure is to open it up and see if the touchpad cable was disconnected during the upgrade of the hard drive. That's my bet. Easy to forget when you're winding. You don't provide complete model number, but many of the recent models Pavilion 17 require removal of the cover together to get hard disk that requires disconnection of the touchpad cable.

    Original title: device issues

    Hi there everyone,

I bought an ASUS with Windows 8 and I must say after finding my way (which took a while) I am very happy with the PC and Windows 8! Buy - do have a problem with two things:

    1. my bluetooth switch does not seem to be enabled - so can not turn on or off. (here turn on!)

    2. my mousepad - will not work - it works for August two seconds if I start the PC without an external mouse, and then it just closes. I checked the settings of the mouse and the instructions tell me I should change something in the settings of the mouse device, but this option (tab) is not there.

I checked the edits and there seems to be no shortage.

Does anyone else have these problems? Any /advice help would be appreciated!

    Thank you

    Monique

    Hi Monique

Here is the hardware issues that must be addressed by ASUS, especially on a new system.

There should be clear instructions to install/activate the Bluetooth device.

The utility for the Touchpad is also a part of manufacturers. May not have been installed properly.

These can also be known on this model of laptop specific issues.

    If Yes, what is it?

This laptop has been pre-installed with Vista am I right?

It s I knew not what application you have installed or what drivers are missing on your laptop, but you must install the Synaptics and Alps Electric Touch Pad Driver to use the touchpad.

In addition, the BIOS must be updated to version XP.

  • Satellite C50D - B - 11 X - touch pad does not work

Hi I have a C50D - B - 11 X Satellite, I've upgraded to windows 10 and now the touch pad does not work, the cursor is located in the middle of the screen, can anyone help.

Check if the touchpad would work after uninstalling the driver for touchpad of programs and features that you can find in the control panel...

I'm not sure that the touchpad driver developer but the Synaptics touchpad driver or MOMENTUM... you may need to check this...

After removing the touchpad driver, please restart the system.
