    Hello
So, it could be that the SD card is not compatible in your machine and which could be the reason why the map wouldn be recognized correctly. You can do the following: try an external USB card reader and check if the card is then recognized by your computer.

Maybe it would also be a good idea to check the drivers download site and check if some new drivers are available for your machine:

  • ATI Radeon Mobility Core/memory clock speeds - Satellite P10 873

I have a portable Satellite P10 873 using 64 MB Radeon 9700 Mobility GPU, the base clock is set at 400 and 200 memory. The chip must be run to 450/260 so if anyone from Toshiba is reading this can you tell me if the cooling of the Gpu is sufficient for these speeds (judging by the traces of burning on my thighs could well be unlikely)?

Is also the 64 MB expandable to 128 MB of VRAM?

    Hi Carmel

First of all the graphics card is a small chip that attaches to the motherboard.
The graphics card has no own cooling system. Only the CPU has a cooling fan.

Toshiba recommends to use the graphic driver Toshiba because the drivers are changed and support an overheating protection. In this case the graphics driver controls the heat produced by the graphics card.
In this case, it s undesirable to overclock the graphics card. If you want to overclock something so do it at your own RISK

  • Satellite P10 873 LAN wireless connection

    Hi all

I have a laptop Satellite P10 873. I just bought a Netgear DG834GT wireless modem/router and can not get completely connected to the internet via Tiscali (ISP).
The problem manifests itself in what I can connect to the router and can even ping various sites on the net. But trying to connect to a site using MSIE I just get "unable to connect" rejection page
In addition, using the CMD prompt, tempting a Telnet session to a web site on port 80 is rejected for example "80 www.bt.com.
I put all the securities to a minimum without effect.
I have another laptop that connects and works perfectly with the Netgear/Ticali Installer. I also identically configured MSIE on both machines without success.

Anyone has any ideas what could be the cause?

    Thanks Mike

If you use the Windows settings you must activate it in the WLAN properties and if you are using a customer this option should be disabled.
Also, check if the windows firewall is disabled. This option please the good state of market for the wireless card

Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong please?

Satellite P10 is old enough laptop model. I have very good experiences with P20. It's almost the same laptop, but a bit bigger. A friend of mine uses P10 for the job and we have installed WXP Pro using all the tricks of the Toshiba support page. The OS is installed two years ago, and the sound still works.

If you can not get this to work, I recommend you remove all the important data for the D partition or save on an external device and make the clean OS install. It will be interesting to see if the problem persists.

By the way: is a connected to your laptop satellite external game controller?

  • Portable Satellite 1800-750 cannot read DVDs that require files avi (codec)

my laptop satellite S1800-750 cannot read DVDs that require avi (codec) files. l have updated dvd drivers and upgrades of my multimedia player of series 10, but nothing helped. I need emergency aid.

    Hello

I suggest, that it can not ONLY play .avi files. Am I wrong?
In this case, you need additional codecs.
This has nothing to do with the DVD drivers or firmware.
Check the internet for the codec. I'm sure you will find a lot of info if you want to google a bit.

    Good luck

  • Satellite A75 laptop cannot read a SD 2 GB card

I have no problem reading and transfer of files of my 512 MB SD card, but when I insert my 2 GB card, the computer will not read the card. He shows up as a drive in the Manager for devices with no error message, but does not as a drive in Explorer, and I can't seem to be recognized by all programs that automatically detects and read SD cards. When I try to go to the direction of the car to see what it says, the module hangs and does not come to the top with my records until I remove the SD card. Does anyone else have this problem? Is this a computer problem or a card problem and is there a solution.

    Thanks for any help.

I think that it is a driver problem. This laptop is quite old and it occasionally 2 GB SD cards were not available on the market. So now you have a problem.
What you can try is to install the driver of some newer model laptop SD card reader. Of course, not the more recent but just the model produced after Satellite A75. Perhaps Satellite A85.

  • Satellite L650D-101 - cannot insert the cards correctly

I just bought a Satellite L650D-101 and have tried to use the SD card reader multi/on the right side of the laptop, but I can't seem to put a card inside. Its just an inch from 1/2 open space and I can see no way to correctly insert cards.
    How do you do that?

I try to put a card in and it won't "connect" with anything and then its too far in a little loose and it gets stuck and I have to remove it with treezers. User manual says just put in it, but the slot seems too big/deep for any card. Am I missing a piece for the laptop or something?

Thanks for any help or suggestion!

    Hi Sophiedb,

What are the cards you are trying to insert?
And you can post a picture of this card reader do you mean?

As far as I know Satellite L650D-101 support the following cards:
SD card, Mini SD card, Micro SD, SDHC, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick card card card, Memory Stick Pro card

I Mat * a UJ - 850 s drive in Toshiba Satellite A300-17N on Windows Vista Edition Home Premium.

    Thanks for the help!

Check if the firmware update is available to take you on the European driver Toshiba page.
If there is no update the problem might be related to the WEIRD failure.

Try to also remove the filters above and below the Windows registry:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/270008/en-us

Test media (CD & DVD) from different manufacturers.
If this will not help, the replacement drive is necessary.

  • Satellite P10-304: replacing a WLan card - can I the same WiFi chip?

    Hi all

got a satellite P10-304 of a companion here.
He said the free thread never worked on it and hes had it years and someone else has already looked at and changed the TNA wireless card.

Basically, she acts only as the wireless switch does not work and it remains permanently off the coast, although the drivers install correctly and map also shows ok. Simply disconnected.

Now, I thought, okay, I'll take a look because I'm pretty good on the old hardware. Has taken apart and this you know, switch has been bent and not up. I handed the place, checked the switch and stop positions with a multimeter to check the switch worked and he was doing his job perfectly.

    Now it still doesn't.
I guess it is now due to the fact that as I said, the map has been changed since its origin to a processor intel pro jobby.

My question is, I'm right, do I just need to get the same card that was originally in it. I assumed that when the switch is set correct return, that I solved it.

    Hello

The WiFi card must be activated bu switching the switch TO the position (the LED must illuminate) and in addition, you should choose the WLan antenna using the FN + F8 key combination.

    Please check this!

Notes; go to Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab Wlan card
There you can check if the WiFi is enabled as well.

  • Unable to connect satellite P10 - 873 to 802.11 Wlan N Router

    I can't get my P10 873 to work with my 802.11n router.
The current Protocol inside this laptop's 802.11 g.

In my view, there is a way to reconfigure the settings, but my knowledge is lacking in this area.
Everybody out there is able to offer advice, or do I need a new laptop computer?

    Hello

You can't connect the laptop via a WLAN router 802.11 N because the card wifi does not support this standard WLan!

As you mentioned the wireless network adapter supports 802.11 G and it's different from 802.11 N

Therefore, change the Wlan standard in the configuration of the router for 802.11 G in order to connect to the laptop wireless.

    Hello

May I ask why you n t use the recovery CD Toshiba to restore the operating system on the P10 Sat?
Simply boot from the restore CD from Toshiba that came with the laptop. This CD contains the Windows operating system with all the drivers and tools pre-installed.

The installation process takes about 10 minutes. It of very simple but please note that this new facility will format the HARD drive.
