Satellite P10: keyboard does not work because of the liquid

Hello!

I spilled coke on my laptop... Fortunately everything works fine. The problem is that some keys on my keyboard are difficult to the press following the coca cola and I don't know how to clean it. Is it possible to remove it to clean?
I have a Satellite P10.

Thank you!
Penny

Hello

Well, you can carefully remove the keys on the keyboard. Then try to clean it with a damp cloth. This should help.

Original title: software Bloggie Touch does not work because of the DEP

I downloaded the Bloggie Touch (Sony) software, but the function of prevention of execution of data in Windows Vista prevents me from using it. Any suggestions? I contacted Sony and they had me re-download the software on their site, but it did nothing. I tried to reset the DEP to allow the Bloggie software, but he says that the processer wouldn't let me do that. Message: I can not turn off DEP for this program.

the only other thing you can do is to do a Bing search for how to turn off dep.
There are several options (not recommended by the way)

  • Satellite A60: keyboard does not work, the recovery DVDs cannot run

    Hello

I have a serious problem with my A60: the keyboard no longer works. I tried many solutions and the last of them, recovery with the Recovery DVD - ROM product does not work, because I can't use the keyboard!

When the screen with the 3 choices, I have no opportunity to respond.
    Someone has an idea?

Thanks a lot for your answer.

They keyboard might not be the problem, or it may not be connected properly to the motherboard the best thing to do is to take it to a service center, it should not cost you anything, if it is still under warranty... but if it's just the keyboard and your laptop is out of warranty then it should cost more than 100-200... can't say how much exactly, because I have no idea.

  • Satellite C660 - keyboard does not work but the Num and caps lock shift are on

I have a Satellite C660 which was working fine this morning. When I came home from work and he turned, the keyboard does not work and therefore can not enter my login information.
The Num and caps lock shift are turned on.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Hello

You are able to disable the CapsLock and NumLock?
You can access the BIOS by pressing F2 by turning on the device?

If this does not work, I would recommend checking an external USB keyboard.
If the USB keyboard would be functions, then this means that the internal keyboard is defective and must be replaced.

  • Satellite L500 - keyboard does not work

    Hello

I have Vista L500 with a dead keyboard. This machine has not been abandoned or anything it is spilled on it. I plugged USB keyboard external that works. The laptop keyboard does not work. I flashed the BIOS, update drivers, held shift for 10 sec (read on another forum), reset computer, check the updates of Windows Vista and ran 3 checks of Virus.
Everything is perfect, just no keyboard?

What should I check? What is a motherboard problem?

    Thanks for any help :)

    Hello

Can enter you the BIOS (F2 key) with internal keyboard?
If it isn't the internal keyboard seems to be defective and must be replaced

I don t think you can do more. I mean you've tried everything what is possible and if an external keyboard works the installation of the OS should be ok.

The keyboard can be ordered and replaced from an authorized service provider. Do you know how to contact the guys?

  • Keyboard does not work properly on the Satellite P100-465

    Hello
Toshiba P100-465, I bought last month and discovered that if you press any key sound (especially the SPACEBAR or enter) between the upper right, it does not work.
I never saw such a problem anywhere in any laptop. Please confirm if this is the case with all or should I get my keyboard replaced.

I read this forum for a long time and I have strength to find a lot of comments about it. Because of that I think he cannot be serious and I recommend you contact the partner of service authorized in your country.

By the way if you press the keys correctly (around using the button) I see no problem there but service can check properly and if problem described is a problem with the hardware keyboard will be replaced free of charge.

    Bye and good luck!

  • Satellite M30 - keyboard does not work

    Hello

I have a problem with the keyboard of my laptop:
Since I was able to type the password of the BIOS, it should be correct from a technical point of view.
But once having written the pass BIOS keyboard no longer works. It just doesn' react - it is even impossible to hit F2 to open the BIOS menu.
XP / system displays all hardware conflicts.
The laptop do not fall down or something like that.
I bought a USB keyboard, and it worked correctly from the start.

I tried every shortcut I know and a lot I didn't know until now, but it still does not work.

Is there a shortcut XP or Toshiba to disable the keyboard?
Or do you think this could be a hardware problem - but why it should be possible to write the password...?

    (1) your bios can recognize an external input device and causing the keyboard not working after giving you access.

    (2) remove all other usb devices you have connected (mouse, webcam or other) because they could be interpreted as an external keyboard

    (3) if there is no USB device connected and the problem persists... remove your keyboard drivers external usb while you plug it (remove drivers dethrone device) and before you restart your computer, make sure to remove the external keyboard.

    (3) you can have a software virus recorder or a keyboard that connects to the interruption of your keyboard.

If none of these permits, try to boot in an o/s different as the knoppix linux that runs directly from cd without need of installation. If your keyboard did not always works, then bring it to support, because the internal flat cable might came down in part.

    Good luck

  • On NEW laptop keyboard does not work after that the screen keyboard has been activated and then deactivated.

Look at my friend got a new laptop and went through the whole upward. the on-screen keyboard has been activated which invalidates the real keyboard when the on-screen keyboard has been disabled the real keyboard has NO return. If this is a bug... Fix it. This is not a driver issue, it is not a user error. Stop giving people answers, trying to pretend like it's not not the OS when most people already know that it is.

I'm sorry, but I didn't not new meant only one day.  And when I got my new laptop, one of the first things I did was to create a point of files, even a day later I had a restore to use - point and that was possible here as well.  I'm sorry it wasn't the case.

If the system restore option is not available, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

If this does not work, you can try to go into the BIOS during the startup (the key appropriate to push appear on the screen to enter the boot menu or boot installation - try them both in turn if both appear. It is possible that the BIOS contains an option to disable the keyboard (which may have been activated by the keyboard on the screen but not changed when disable you the on-screen keyboard) and you may need to re-enable manually.  There is a slight possibility, but it is an option to try.

Another option to try is to set up a new user account that has never used the keyboard on the screen and see if the regular keyboard works when you connect to this account.  If so, you can simply treat the original as a corrupt account account and use the following procedures to complete the transfer.  To fix this use http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile.

I hope that one of these aid procedures.  I'm sorry if they seem to 'generic', but we do not really know what is the problem - especially since the system is new.  We try and identify the cause and fix the problem at the same time using the procedures available to us.  I suspect there's a registry tweak will correct this problem, but I went through the whole registry, and although I found several referencers keyboard, I could find no which seemed to control or not activate the main laptop keyboard (though it has been in one of the entries that has been encoded in binary that I couldn't read).  It's possible someone who knows more about the registry will respond to this issue with a proposal to amend (or perhaps another solution).

I hope that one of the solutions I proposed works.  Please post back in all cases we will know whether or not to continue searching for an answer.

    Good luck!

  • Toshiba Satellite c855-S5123 does not work with just the AC adapter

My Toshiba Satellite laptop c855 Windows 8 has suddenly stopped loading and when the adapter is plugged. The light output at the front was not lit and the loading icon was gone. • Satellite C660 - keyboard does not work

    Hello world

I've recently updated the BIOS to version 1.60 on my PSC0LE C660-02300JEN (1 year) and the keyboard doesn't work well at all and sometimes stops working completely, making it unusable (I write on an external USB keyboard.).

There was a recurring problem, a few months before I updated the BIOS with the strike being delayed or does not respond, sometimes when you type, but for the most part, it still worked.

So I've updated the BIOS, as suggested, and I get the following problems:

The space bar is either not responding or when you press + 2 written or +++ again and again until I stop it by pressing the SPACEBAR again.

    None of the numbers works.

Sometimes the entire keyboard no longer works and none of the keys of a reaction.

    I tried solutions:

    Remove the battery.

cleaning the keyboard to get whatever it is dislodged out under the keys.

Reinstall the version 1.60 of the BIOS.

I'm not sure what to do next and really appreciate the advice and help before I try to get the keyboard replaced. It would be nice to get an opinion before I gain for a fix.

    Really welcome responses.

    Thank you very much

    Patrick

    Hello

I think that this problem of keyboard is not related to the BIOS update not to other software.
Is that you can use the external USB keyboard as you said above this means that the BIOS is ok and also the functions of controller keyboard correctly

This means that the problem is related to a malfunction internal keyboard. I have no explanation why this happened after the update, but it could be just a bad luck

In my view, the problem can be solved by the replacement of keyboard.

  • Satellite A300 - keyboard does not work after cold start.

    Hi people,

I inherited an A300 of questions.

When you turn on the laptop, the keyboard works at the BIOS level, but once it boots into windows keyboard no longer works. I discovered that by pressing the power button (stop) and then turn the laptop back on brings back the keyboard. (It was in vista).

Since I did a new install of Windows 7 (removal of all partitions on the disk) and the fault remains, I also installed the added value Pack which did not help.

Firmware was 1.6 - updated to 1.9; fault remains. I restored the factory settings in the BIOS - fault remains level.

I installed a copy of Fedora 11 (Linux), that works perfectly.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for the comments.
To be honest, I use an external mouse only.

  • Satellite M100 keyboard does not work

I have a M100 and my keyboard used to work properly, but now it doesn't work at all.
I havn't had very long and I wonder if there is some kind of lock key on it or if it is just fuck?

    Hello

Unfortunately there is no key lock so it may be that your keyboard may be defective. Have you ever tried to connect an external keyboard to your machine to check if it works.

Since there is definitely without a lock, there is a great possibility that you must bring your machine to a service authotized partner to make them fix this error.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite L10 - keyboard does not work properly

    Hello
I have problem with my keyboard. I have install Windows XP from recovery CD and make updates Windows Update form. Sometimes, when I write something ex 1234567890, I see on the screen 123567890 or 123456790.
I took the laptop to the service and they said that everything is OK, but for me it is not!
What's the matter with him, can someone tell me?
    Thank you

    Hello

Compare the version of the BIOS installed on the laptop with the BIOS which is available on the Toshiba page.
If you use the old version, then you can try to update the BIOS.
I have read that sometimes, a new BIOS might help.

  • App does not work because of the level of security

Our network has an older version of Cisco Call Manager.  It is not signed with a real certificate / trust, etc.  Let me head off the inevitable... I know it's a terrible idea, there are 1 million problems, etc.  But there is nothing we can do about it.  Another group is responsible, they will replace it with a modern version someday when they move, the Organization will support the meaningful ICP when they have money or are stitched on the back, etc.  So with all that in mind... How can I force the application to run, preferably without a lot of warning that will be just blindly clicked by anyway?  Add the URL in the list of exceptions of the Site did not work.  Confidence permanently the certificate for the web server has failed.  I guess I could find a way to try to extract the cert and push it into the Java truststore.  I need the fastest way to do this "fair", any point of an idea that is.

It turns out that run this applet in 'dangerous' Mode (which is too common "fix" that makes me cringe) was the culprit... put back to allow all simply made go!
