Satellite P100 - 10 p: poor video quality with 3rd site nVidia Driver

I have a satellite P100 - 10 p (PSPAGE) with 7900 GS and when I install the new drivers from laptopvideo2go.com video quality (163.76) of all films is bad.

The image is rasterized with each media player (VLC, MPC...) and screen sometimes "POPs" for a second.

Everything goes very well with 84,00 Toshiba drivers but I can not play games like BIoshock and Stranglehold with this driver.

Help, please.
Thank you

Hey Drago

It's a very bad situation. Toshiba with each laptop must product offering functional and because of who offer tested drivers. These drivers are suitable for each laptop model and also have the function of protection. This means that the graphics card will not forced to run at the highest level.

As you can see with the original driver you have problems, play games. For me this is nothing unusual for laptops. Problem is that all of the updated drivers the only are not supported and tested by the manufacturer of the laptop. I recommend you to use tested driver Toshiba. In the end maybe you must compromise between game and watch movies.

By the way: original DVD movies are also so bad while you use pre-installed WinDVD?

  • Poor video quality using windows 7 "play to" with DLNA Sony Bravia KDL-40EX700

When I use the option "play to" in windows media player 12, everything works but the video streams on tv is of very poor quality!

Most of the time the video is not yet play full screen. When I first set all and used television to find the video file, it played in the perfect resolution and quality, but now it does not matter if I have the video on the TV or choose play... two ways I get bad video quality.

Are there settings for the streaming video quality in windows 7? I have the current firmware for tv update and tried on two different computers with the same bad results.

What can I do to fix this?

    Mr. Goetz,

There is nothing wrong with the drivers of your graphics card. The TV is one that makes the video file not the graphics card on your PC. The reason you have a bad video quality is the limited support of the multimedia formats that is supported by your TV. Generally, Sony's Bravia TVs have a limited set of media formats supported and for this reason, most of the time that the Play and Win7 will send transcoded versions of the video on television. Usually, the way Play works is the following:

-Play questions the TV for supported media formats

-If the TV supports the type of media you're trying to make, the Play sends native data flow to the TV. The quality will be provided by your video file.

-If the TV does not support the native format, the Win7 also offers versions of the same video file transcoded: MPEG-2 and WMV for versions.

-Play preffers to make reading possible at any time so he will choose a transcoded version if the native format is not supported. DLNA mandates support for MPEG NTSC or PAL MPEG formats, so this will be the common denominator.

I tested several Sony's Bravia televisions in the last years of the development of Play, and several times reading transcoded. I guess that this is the case for you as well. Unfortunately, nothing you can do, unless Sony decides to support your media file nativelly. To make things worse, the qulity of the transcoded version depends very much on the quality of native files (win7 transcode in a lower resolution than the native.) It will be not high-end). If the native file is HD content, the resolution of transcoded stream will be pretty good for a TV 40 ". If the stream resolution is SD or smaller than (usually flows that can be downloaded on BitTorrent), resolution transcoded will be less than that. On a big TV screen, it will be stretched and the quality will be very poor. More the native file resolution and the resolution of the TV, the bad will be your experience.

Therefore, could you please tell me what is your multimedia file type?

    Hope this helps

    Thank you very much

  • Live messenger activation causes poor video quality

Whenever I have activate Live messenger (Windows xp, version 2009, Build 14.0.8117.416) my monitor turns off completely. After a few seconds the video links and this is horrible. Right-click on a zone empty of my desktop and go to properties, a time I'm on the view tab, I see that my video quality went to 8-bit, low. I can use the drop-down list box and select 32 - bit and 'ok', and my video quality goes back to normal. However, whenever I click on a link in live messenger, or select an option Menu tab in live messenger that my video goes back to 8 bits.  What's worse, is that my Messenger friend sent me a video link 'you tube '. By clicking on the link caused my video problem to cycles in the horrible back 8-bit to 32-bit normal. Every few seconds, the screen goes white and back, it is the other video quality.  Previously, I was able to have video conversations with my friend, but now we have problems (she can see and hear me, I can't hear him). I also noticed that the 'video', and the point of 'Photo' of the bar menu is grayed out. Live messenger does not show even I have a webcam, although this option is selected.  Why do I have all this trouble with live messenger. It started a few months ago.   Oh, one last thing... When I close Live Messenger, my video quality returns to normal as if nothing happened.

  • Poor video quality once uploaded to youtube.

So... i save my videos with dxtory, then change them with sequels, and then export with media encoder on the highest settings with h264 mp4. They have clear air on my computer, but when the downloaded YouTube they look terrible! on 480 p, it looks like 240 p. I tried different formats and codecs quicktime, DNxHD ect. but still the same thing. I have also tried different bitrates but still the same thing... I tried to put my video format WebM with vp9 codec, but still the same thing... I tried to solve this problem for months...

Here is the short clip of my edit

    www.YouTube.com/watch?v=VxGq2aSQxiI

If you don't stop it on 0:08 you can see the buildings in the back so blurry.

Here is another clip with no appearance of editing.it better but still really bad

    www.YouTube.com/watch?v=4bbw96PoEzo

I just don't understand it... many people get much better without any problems! even if they make their videos on bad parameters they look even better than the example of mine.for this video.it looks really, really good even in 480p.and even if there is a lot of movement, it is not blurred

    www.YouTube.com/watch?v=ZIqicCSv5kY

Also, I realized that if you open the "stats for nerds" box on youtube.i see that youtube has this video encoded with WebM vp9, but if you look at my vacuum it't encoded with video/mp4; codecs = "avc1.4d401f."

Then. is there a way I can force youtube to encode with vp9 codec? When I downloaded my video with vp9 on format WebM codec, it got still encoded with video/mp4; codecs = "avc1.4d401f"

Please help me.i really want to solve this problem and to start making videos.

First of all, I must say: I was download YouTube videos for years and not looking bad at all. YouTube tends to be a bit on the aggressive side when they re - encode the videos, and so everything gets compressed and reduced fuzzy blocks to one degree or another. Your first video looks about as good in terms of quality as the latest example that you connected.

The only advice I can give are:

    • Best entry will give you the best output. Given that YouTube is re-encoding anything you give them, it is best to give the best, you can give. In this way, the quality reduction will be a small as possible. Encoding and upload to achieve a flow that it is possible. Make sure that your output is constantly 1920 x 1080, and that you are not applying any kind of interlacing.
    • Your first video has a lot of small cuts and flashing. It is difficult to compress with a limited flow. Your edit looks cool. Just understand that given the constraints of YouTube, that kind of cuts Super-fast and flashing translates the lesser image quality. A slower trajectory will always give the best quality according to the type of brutal compression YouTube applies. I think you as a Publisher will have to balance these things to get the desired quality.

in any case, do not let this kind of quality problems to prevent you to upload content; your stuff is fine already. Artist (and all content producers) will never be totally satisfied with your creation, but there is still more time to improve and perfect your art. Good luck to you!

  • Video quality with Adobe Captivate

    Hi all

I was wondering what is the highest video quality Captivate can capture?

In researching it does reference Standard, optimized, JPEG and high quality.  I was wondering if anyone knew what the dimensions are in fact and if it can capture in HD quality?

I'm picking out a software screenshot.  There are many out there, and Captivate is by far the most expensive.  But purchasing the Master Collection from Adobe and to love all software contained within the limits, I thought that this software could be useful for the needs of my screenshot.

However if the level of video capture is no better than Camtasia say I don't see the point in buying rather than Camtasia.

    Thank you!

You can create high quality capture content in Captivate to almost any desired screen resolution.  Full HD is about 1900 x 1080 pixels, and if your screen resolution is large enough, Captivate can capture at this size, the size of your file that results will be quite huge.  YouTube Widescreen HD, you can capture at 1280 x 720.

At this precise moment in time, Camtasia has the advantage on Captivate full motion capture video.  If the FMV is what you want to use for the content of the training or presentation and interactivity is not necessary, nor do you need a powerful feature evaluation, you must make a decision on the purchase of a tool right now, then Camtasia might be a good choice.  However, if you need create interactive content, with likely content of assessment SCORM for the delivery of the LMS, then Captivate is always the best choice.

Even to the extent of the FMV, if you can hang it off the coast of a little time until that Captivate 6...

  • Satellite A205 - Vista backup center and restoration with a WiFi hard drive

I use Vista Ultimate Center of backup and restore to back up hard drive of my laptop Satellite A205 series on a wireless external hard drive. The external hard drive (which is formatted in NTFS) is directly attached (via USB) to my wireless router Belkin low, instead of being connected directly on my laptop.

I know that this WiFi network hard drive is recognized by my laptop series Satellite A205, because it appears as "Drive Z:" when I click on 'My Computer'... but the version of "Backup and Restore Center" which appeared on my laptop Satellite A205 only allows backup of DVD or directly - connected hard drive not the readers of (strange for a laptop with built-in WiFi) network.

By contrast, the version of the backup center and restaurant located on my computer to my lists one office (also Vista), drives on the computer at first - but it includes a "more:"hyperlink by which someone with rights Admin can click and access the network drives. "

This "more:"hyperlink does not appear on the version of the backup center and restore on my laptop Toshiba Satellite 205. "

I can't even someone at Microsoft to talk to me without first
    $ 69.95 for the 'privilege '.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi irsharp23,

    > but the version of "Backup and Restore Center" which appeared on my Satellite A205 laptop only allows backup of DVD or directly - connected hard drive not the readers of (strange for a laptop with WiFi built-in) network.
    Laughing out loud
I think that's not a junk Toshiba. Center backup and restore is designed by Microsoft and Toshiba has nothing to do with it. So I think you need to get in touch with the guys at Microsoft to ask for a solution, or there may be an update for this tool.
    Did you check that?

Moreover, why n t connect the external DRIVE directly to your laptop drive? I don't see a reason to connect such a disc HARD backup over the network, because this image of backup can be used only on your laptop.

Alternative, I can recommend Acronis True Image to record images of backup on the network or if you use Microsoft SyncToy to synchronize your files between laptops and network. ;)

  • Satellite A300-19 q - how to start with an external USB drive

    Hi all!

I have a (old) TOSHIBA Satellite A300-19 q bought in 2008. I wanted to do a clean install of Windows 7 by reformatting my HD. The problem is that my internal DVD drive no longer works. So I tried to boot from the Windows 7 DVD installation with an external USB drive.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find a way to boot from USB devices in my BIOS options.
My BIOS is up to date (version 4.20) from Toshiba Web site.

So I was wondering, does anyone know if the A300-19 q can boot from USB devices?

    Thank you in advance.

I have A300 at home but I never tried to start with an external USB device.
Start your laptop and press F12 to get into the boot menu. There must be USB option. What happen when you try to use it?

  • Poor video quality on windows 7 same with 3rd gen processor i7

.. .and that pretty, I've updated my graphics driver to the latest version of intel.

But (I think) this problem only arose a few days earlier, when I updated my km player.
Since then, I tried to uninstall and decommissioning of my player km back to the earlier version.
But damage, I fear, is permanent.
Now, same no matter what player I chose, I get very bad quality through and through.
Irregular contours and quality video across all color sharpness is really pathetic.

    Data sheet:
Processor: intel core i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40 Ghz
    RAM: 8 GB
    Operating system: Windows7 64-bit
    Monitor: 24 "inch samsung
    Graphics mode: 1920 X 1080
Graph of the processor in use: graphics Intel HD 4000 (Yes, I don't have a separate graphics card)

Your hardware is not the problem. Yet an integrated graphics adapter, while it is not very suitable for the game, should be sufficient for video playback. Try to remove all traces of your kmplayer, he maybe touched files important system, and (if you need support for the video formats not supported by Windows Media Player) uses instead the player VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/).

  • Poor video quality on DVD created by still

I use Premiere Pro CS6 for editing of video clips in 1280 x 720. I linked the first sequences to still and created the DVD in Encore. I did not flow sequences Media Encoder first but, rather, leave everything still manage transcoding and compression.

The first video is superb. The video during preview in Encore looks great. But the quality of the video when it is burned on a DVD is ugly. I think that video on the DVD is only standard definition, but the text is still blurry and images are picky and serrated, more than I expected. Is there something else I should do first or to ensure a higher quality DVD?

    Thank you

    Dan

In case someone else has the same problem and is reading this post, I'll post my solution:

I tried pretty much all possible combinations. One that works the best for me was to export the first sequences in Media Encoder format MPEG-2 DVD, and with default values for NTSC progressive screen wide high quality.

However, what struck me most surprised is that, although the video was not good on my computer, it seemed still quite poor light with my DVD on my HD TV.   However, my equipment (TV and DVD) is about 9 years old.  When I played the DVD on DVD player for my daughter and the HDTV, which they bought last year alone, I've seen a dramatic improvement in quality.  Same DVD, just different equipment. Apparently, on older equipment, algorithms that upscale the SD video on a DVD to play on a HDTV are not as good as they are on the latest equipment. At least that's my opinion on the matter.

So, if you are having quality issues with your DVD try my settings and don't forget to play on newer equipment.

  • All-in-one HP OfficeJet Pro X576dw: poor Fax quality with ADF

I have a fairly new HP OfficeJet 576, which sends faxes fine when using the flat bed scanner.  When documents are sent by fax using the ADF, the receiving end gets a copy of very poor quality; the document is very light and the lower part is impossible to read.  No streaks or lines in the document.

The test page was sent using a single sheet and the ADF seemed to treat the paper without any problem.

The ADF is necessary because most of the faxes include several pages.

    Any ideas?

Can you please confirm what version of firmware you have?
The most recent version ends with 1409BR. We find it by pressing the question mark, and then "touch" printer information.

  • Matched presets-but poor video quality and audio-PE9

I posted a few threads like this before, but the problem has not been resolved. I've adapted my film 24 p (Panasonic HDC-TM900) of 1920 x 1080 for correct presets when I start a new project. When I play the clips in the timeline panel, the quality is variable and often poor, but when I stop the video the image normally high quality. Audio sometimes cuts off. I have installed MPEG2 codec, so I don't really know what the problem is. Any help would be appreciated

You shoot on a digital SLR. You pull an AVCHD cam - and there is no support for 1920 x 1080 AVCHD 24 p in Premiere Elements.

So, Yes, you should shoot 1920 x 1080 50i if you plan to edit in Premiere Elements - AND use the AVCHD project setting.
