Satellite P100-219 - sound is too quiet

Got one with Conexant chip.
There is only one pilot there and probably defective. I can not access the property page, just the generic Volume control. Everything to the top and still too quiet sound, especially on headphones - barely audible.

In addition, the sound is in a bad mood and a jerk a little. It is understood for example when clicking on the volume slide a few times, it comes from the coughes and cracks.

All tried, even reinstall. Any ideas?

In addition, you can consult the page of the Toshiba driver for the audio driver update.
But I agree with the user above. The crackling could occur due to various processes that run in the background of the OS.

    Hello

I found the solution for the problem of sound-acpi with Toshiba P100 (it works with P100-219 at least). I can provide the source modified and compiled table DSDT, but I would like to know if it is possible to get these changes in the next update of the BIOS?

The machine is a Satellite P100 just more than a year, came with Vista installed. No problem until today when Vista SP1 has been automatically downloaded and installed. Now I have no sound from speakers or headphones.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver Conexant Audio Hi-Def to the latest recommended on the Toshiba site.

I tried to restore to before the time when SP1 was installed.

  • Re: Satellite P100 PSPAAE - sound stopped working

I'm on Vista Home Premium using a Satellite P100 PSPAAE. My sound doesn't work anymore, I think after an automatic update.

I downloaded and installed the latest driver from Toshiba support but no joy, and make site back does not set it.

MS load an older version, when I have auto update.

Which driver should I I have installed cause I'm totally confused now. Is there a trick to install?

I wouldn't mud autour trying to find the right software. Instead of buying everything and tell them that the sound has stopped working. They will fix it for you.

I went through it and it turned out to be my hard drive. Could be a different default for you, but of course it took the sadness on me when I arrived at the place to fix it for me.

    Good luck.

  • Satellite P100-> no sound with Vista

    Hello
You can download a lot of drivers Vista for TOSHIBA Canada support i.e. page

After installing display driver Vista is stable and fast even in Word of Warcraft.

There is always a small problem. Canadian HD Audio drivers do not work. Original XP driver allows sound but DVD on WMP11 playback, or play WoW does choke system. Uninstalling the drivers for HD Audio done system and DVD run smoother, but there is no sound. 'Funny', it's that play the same DVD with sound with WMC does no problem.

Someone knows what to do to properly install HD Audio drivers? To have sound and not smothering system?

Some of the portable Satellite P100 supports his Intel chip Conexant CX20551-22.
I recommend to visit the Intel Web site and install the latest chipset and drivers!
    Maybe it helps!

  • Satellite P100-434-Sound/Modem query

The sound on my P100-434 became intermittent, then failed completely.

The machine is about 4 years old, standard spec with Vista Ultimate operating system.
By trial and error, I discovered that if I want to hear the sound, I need to uninstall/reinstal "HDAudio Soft Data Fax Modem with Smart CP" (which I believe is the basis for the soundcard - HD SmartAudio HD2 Conextant).

When I restart the machine I have to go through the same procedure to get her back.
Updated the drivers through Control Panel/Device Manager indicates that my drivers are up to date.
I am considering a restore of the system from the disk.

Can someone help me solve this or refer me to a driver?

    Concerning

    Hello

I don t think that HDAudio Soft Data Fax Modem with Smart CP is necessary get the job of the sound card.
Entry in Device Manager is the data modem.

I would recommend the removal of his (Conexant) map of the device as well as the Intel HD Audio Manager.

Restart the laptop and check if the Windows operating system will recognize the removed device and reinstall the drivers again.

  • Satellite P100 - no sound after sleep or hibernate on Windows 7 mode

    Hello everyone,

I'm desperately looking for a solution for my sound problem on my PC after browsing many forums that were talking about the same question, but without effective solutions either.

I write this message because I have a laptop Toshiba P100-488 running under Windows 7 64-bit (after having upgraded the processor) and that uses a Conexant CX20549 audio chip.

Everything works correctly, and if the sound is chip with a 64-bit of Windows 7 installed driver but I noticed that after the return of fashion sleep or hibernation, then audio device is still recognized in the Device Manager and shown as active in the control panel and in the taskbar but unfortunately No sound out of speakers.

I tried several drivers (including those from Dell and HP on some sites) but still the same problem.
Also, I tried to update the driver from Windows Update that suggested the Conexant SmartAudio HD2 but the same behavior.

Those of you who would have a solution for me or perhaps a driver concerned that could solve this annoying problem is question here?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards

    Fred

  • Satellite P100-106 - sound and modem driver for WXP Pro

    Hello

I bought a P100-106 (PSPADE) a few days ago that had Windows Vista Home premium pre-installed. What I tried to do is to install win XP pro SP2 because I realized that Vista not fully cover my needs again.

While Toshiba does not support this model with the drivers, I found some models to the driver downloads page, such as PSPA3E, with the same hardware configuration. I downloaded the drivers makes it easy with my system (almost all). After completing installation instructions all worked fine except the sound drivers and modem.
I downloaded the driver for the sound is Conexant 3.11.0.51. After installing the patch kb888111 (UAA), which is included in the record of the driver, my system has recognized the PCI device unknown as "Audio device on high definition audio bus" and the modem as "Device Modem on high definition audio bus". Then I followed the installation instructions that Toshiba has provided (http://support.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB6801JF0000R01.htm), but the window that appears, there are no devices listed and no 'OK' buttons to press! Simply "CANCEL".
The same thing happens when I am installing modem drivers.
Can someone help me please? Does anyone of you have the same problem?

I would be grateful for any information or solution

    Thanks in advance

    Hi guys

You are right. For now, that Toshiba does not take in charge the new models preinstalled Vista laptops to Windows XP Home edition. I assume that it will change in the future, but of course the Vista upgrade is a priority. As you know a lot of old notebooks preinstalled WXP must be Vista supported. It makes sense to upgrade is more important than the downgrade.

Anyway, I heard that the new laptop models have a different sound chip and it can happen using soundcard for notebooks WXP drivers help much. Audio driver is also important for the modem function and because of that you also have problems with the modem function.

I know that you will solve the problem as soon as possible, but if there is no, you must wait for realize Toshiba drivers for Windows XP Home edition and put on download page.

It is very interesting that every day more and more users are not satisfied with Vista n want to use Windows XP Home edition on the newer models. To be honest I still use my Windows XP Home edition and right now I really don't want to install Vista on my lappy.

    Bye and good luck!

  • Equium A80 sound is too quiet

Everyone finds that the sound on this laptop is not very strong.
I find that if I play MP3s, they are just audible. DVD sound barely audible.
Yes ALL the volume is set to max hardware and software. My old laptop IBM was much stronger than that.

    Any solutions would be appreciated.

    Hello

I Don t A80 but I know that there is difference between speakers in the different laptop models. Some units are pregnant and budget unit and sound quality is not at the highest level. Some units have Harman/Kardon speakers with brilliant tone.

If you are not satisfied with the sound I recommend you to use external speakers as solution or same quality headphones.

  • Satellite P100-219: overheating after memory upgrade

    Hello guys,.

I've recently upgraded to 4 GB RAM in my laptop, and he did it again.
Computer laptop stops immediately after awhile. CPU or GPU gets really hot. Works fan CPU, GPU was not used intensely. Simple web browsing/cat/emailing.

What becomes hot however is part to the left of the memory/wlan compartment. Is it possible that a chipset gets hot after just upgrade memory?
I tested the memory with Memtest + for more than 3 hours. No errors.

Moreover, the last time that my phone was in ASP it had returned with DMI saying it's Satellite L20! I dunno if that could be related...

Thanks in advance for your suggestions,
    mentorek

You have blown the dust anyway? As you say, maybe another component is overheating rather than the CPU or GPU. The CPU/GPU heatsink can be shared with other chips.

Have you installed RAM high performance? His best choose RAM that has the same Timings CASE/RAS as the original factory of RAM.

The name DMI does not cause something like this.

PS. If you're running Vista, you must pass the BIOS and driver nVidia on the Toshiba site

  • Satellite P100-442 - sound after Vista update problem

    Vista Home Premium operating system.

Since "Vista Update" installed a pilot of its new "Conexant high definition SmartAudio HD2", the sound does not work.
It does that after I do a "ch for devices modified" via "Device Manager".
But I do whenever I have start the laptop.
Should I first remove this driver (and how?) and to install the driver on the Toshiba site?

Try to restore to an earlier time using System Restore option.

If everything works again DO NOT install updates for ALL pilot rating. Just install update marked as important. All others (optional) update SHOULD NOT be installed at all.

  • Satellite P100-219: LAN driver

There is a problem with the "Network Driver" on the CD utilities & tools created from the HARD disk.
Installation fails, probably due to an error of order, '' C:\Toshiba' is not recognized.

In the folder Driver network, there are two subfolders:
    100LAN containing for WinXP: e100a325.inf (revision 1) and e100b325.inf (revision 3) 8255 x Intel drivers
GLan: e1e5132. INF Intel (r) PRO/1000 Gigabit adapters,
IAMT. INF 'Technology of Directors Active Intel (r) - KCS',
iresol. INF "serial port driver" "Serenum filter driver.
The records contain more files, but I see no installation instructions.

The driver download page, the same files are available under LAN Driver from Intel and Toshiba, respectively.

Recommendations on what to install and in what order?

    Hello

First of all, you want to download and install the Chipset utility from the site. After that, you can install the rest and more any order. I recommend the installation of the graphic, audio, and lan-wifi-Bluetooth, then everything that is left. But don't forget, the Chipset utility is always the first to install.
