Satellite P100 PSPA6A 028017 - screen is blank

My screen goes blank when the Toshiba Manually Nvidia Geforce GO 7900 GS driver active and restarts and just a loop. I am able to use my laptop normally if I just disable the driver and leave it installed. I tried to update the driver, but the problem is not resolved. I reinstalled the bios and chipset and the driver itsself. The problem continues to poison me ideas please?

What Os do you run on your laptop? Uninstall the display driver, and then restart the computer. Then, clean the registry with Ccleaner http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

go to the [Australian driver Toshiba Page | http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support] and download the driver again.

If is not always fix this, there may be Os related issue.

You can also try a program called, Driver Sweeper, to remove the nvidia display driver and reinstall a driver to display again

  • Satellite P100 (PSPA6A) - white screen, crashes and then restarts by itself

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite P100 (PSPA6A) and am running Windows XP on it. Last month, I had a problem with my computer when the screen becomes white, then freezes and restarts itself.

I took it to a computer store to get the snippet, but they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I tried to find if all programs are at the origin of this problem but I have not been able to find. My computer can be on for 10 h, before this occurs, and it can be on for 5 minutes before this problem occurs. It can also occur during the loading screen before reaching the windows welcome screen. If it helps, there is a slight delay when the screen becomes white and when it's freezing (I have music in the background several times where the music was still playing for a few seconds while the screen was white, and then it froze and rebooted).

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello!

Have you checked the RAM yourself using Memtest86 as resident suggested? I mean Memtest86 is really great to test the RAM and if there is a problem, Memtest86 should prove.

In addition I recommend you to check the HARD drive. Therefore, you can use Drive Fitness Test and Google is your friend to find.
    This program is also free.

In the worst cases, you should go to an authorized service provider. Maybe it of a problem of the motherboard or processor, and this can be checked by a technician of the laptop.

  • Satellite P100 (PSPA6A-028017) - audio driver for Windows 7

Anyone know what audio drivers to use for this model on Windows 7?

Device Manager says "this device cannot start. (Code 10) »
Drivers listed for it are drmk.sys, hdaudio.sys, portcls.sys, sysfxui.dll and wmalfxgfxdsp.dll which are listed as "Microsoft" and "Windows 7 RTM.

Various instructions related to various factors (the Toshiba site and elsewhere) that none seemed to do anything.
None of the drivers on the Toshiba site for this model works.

Material worked fine on XP before the upgrade to Windows 7.

Can someone tell me what to use for this chipset drivers or what else to try?

    Hi Jonathan Wilson,.

I checked the page of Australian driver download Toshiba where your laptop model is listed and it seems that there is no Windows 7 driver for the moment :(

Theoretically you can also use the drivers from the European page, where you can get Windows 7 drivers for Satellite P100, model nr. PSPA6E.

  • Satellite P100-194: blue screen - nv4_disp is in an infinite loop

I have a Satellite P100-194 since 28.08.06 and I get this blue screen telling me that the nv4_disp (I think it's the graphic driver nvidia) is in an infinite loop.

    Error message:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    (English translation):

"Device driver got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates problem with the device itself or with the incorrect programming hardware device driver.

Please check with your hardware vendor, updates to the driver.

    Technical information:

    "STOP: 0x000000EA (0x857F66E0, 0x85CL22D0, 0xF7C61CB4, 0x00000001)".

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then he said something about the execution of a physical memory dump and I had to reboot.
Sometimes the monitor turns off just (without blue screen) and I have to stop again. Or the screen shows several vertical strips during startup. in the case of windows window should come it gets black. I had this error 5 - 6 times since I bought it.
This could be a damage on the geforce 7900 gs card or RAM may be defective or do I have new chipset... drivers?

The drivers are the latest (from toshiba).

Technical support told me to format the pc.
The laptop is new and was very expensive, so I find it very strange that I need to update anything to make it work properly... ? ! ?
Yesterday I formatted the laptop and reinstalled with the Recovery CD... because the error is sometimes, I don't know if it's working now, but I would be grateful for any HELP or comment on that.

    Thank you.

  • Satellite P100-347: blue screen at startup - unable to boot volume

Recently, I left my 2 younger brothers playing NFS Carbon on my satellite P100-347, pre-installed with media center edition 2005, and now it fails to start.

During the process of possibly starting a blue screen appears for about a second and then it shutsdown (I managed to make the words "unable to boot volume" on the basis of the blue screen).

I tried to boot with a XP media center DVD but it gives me only a possibility of reinstalling the operating system with a cost of losing all my important data. Normally I would have picked up the system, but I don't want to lose my data.

Can I do other than take it to a technician?

    Hello

Well, for the most part the BSOD appears due to hardware problem or serious software.
In your case, the software problem is possible

Unfortunately, I think that the new installation of the OS is the best way to get the laptop works properly.
Now, you want to know how to record data and the files well, I think that you should remove the laptop HARD drive and must try to connect the 2.5 HDD via external USB controller to another computer. Then you can save the files to the other HARD disk

I think, now, you know that regular backups are important and necessary!

  • Satellite P100-188 Orange screen casing cracks

Since the purchase of my Satellite P100-188, I was happy with the way it works, but had to send it the Tech, through PC World guys, because the orange case on the screen continuously develops cracks around the joints of the hinge. I'm about to send it back for a 3rd time and I was wondering if someone else had also encountered this problem?

Cracks develop in many more large cracks in a relatively short time. I use my laptop on a daily basis, when I get home from work, is not as if it is used throughout the day and after having spent over A £1000 on that I'm not about to start abusing her.

If someone managed to get a result of Toshiba please get in touch with me?

    Hi Clive

The same cracks appear on my notebook of s to a friend.
He simply made contact with the authorized service provider, and the shift has been replaced!

Why do you want results? I think the free replacement of the cover is a very good solution.
Simply contact the ASP in your country and you enjoy life B-)

  • Satellite A350-20 q - screen is blank when installing Fedora 11

    Hi all..

A few months back, I bought a Toshiba Satellite A350-20 q. The problem is when I try to install Fedora 11 on this laptop. When I start using the bootable DVD and try to install, the screen turns off after that a check of the media is complete. There is no graphical interface for installation.

However, he does very well and settled on a Satellite A300 and one laptop of another as well. What can be the problem?

I tried the two variants for different architectures i386 and a x86_64. Same problem in the DVD. Please help :(

    Hello

What happens if you install Windows or another Linux distro? Maybe Fedora 11 isn't compatible with your laptop and you get a blank screen.
    Check it!

In addition, I agree with Akuma and you should try to update the BIOS and also reset to the default values.

When the low battery alert lights and I plug in the power adapter, quite often, the screen turns white and the keyboard does not work. The only option I have is to turn off and turn back on it.

Does anyone else have this problem and if so, is there a solution for this?

    Hello

This looks like something wrong with the display driver.
Please, try to disable powerplay in the properties of the graphics card and do not set the CPU at low speed in Toshiba Power Saver mode fixed.
    Check this option.

    Maybe it helps.

  • Satellite P30-110: the screen is blank, after working for a few minutes

    Hello.

Can anyone adivse if they have encountered this problem before. After you start the system and worked on the laptop for a few minutes, the screen turns white as if the system is in standby mode. The only way to put it back on is by pressing the power button and everything continues normally until the problem reoccur.

I have been informed that there may be a button faulty hibernation cela but surely you would say on the screen if the machine was going into hibernation with the usual calendar bar? And the fact that the screen turns back on as soon as you press the button shows his vigil no hibernation.

Any adviser who can offer are welcome. If you need more information about the problem please let me know.

    Thank you very much

    Hi Paul,.

If it is just the screen becomes black, but everything else seems to work fine, so I think that your FL inverter may be defective. This is the device that provides the lighting of the screen.

I suggest that you only contact your nearest ASP for further diagnosis.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite P100-324 - black screen

Well, I have a pretty serious problem, I wonder if some of you never experienced anything similar.

My screen is black all the time.
I hear sounds of loading windows and others, everything seems to work fine, but I don't see anything.
What is a screen problem or rather gfx?

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

    Hello

Maybe the display has been switched to the external monitor?
Have you checked if something would be available on the second monitor?
    To do this

You can also try to use FN + F5 option to toggle between external monitor and laptop computer s

It could also be a faulty laptop screen this could be the case if something could not be visible on the external monitor, but the internal display would stay black

    Chipset: Intel i945PM

Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 operating system

    Hey,.

    > ALWAYS goes black as soon as the ramps of gpu for example of playing a video or comparative analysis of the graphics card.
This means that the graphics card is defective

Theoretically, it could be an overheating problem too. Higher time can also cause a black screen. You should try everything that is possible to clean your laptop using the jet of compressed air to blow the dust from the cooling fans.

If it doesn t help it seems to be a hardware malfunction but seriously a point would be interesting: have you noticed the same thing with preinstalled OS (Vista) Toshiba?
