Satellite P100 - white screen on the side left aproxx 1.5 inches

My screen went white on the left flank about 1.5 inch wide.

That someone has the answer to this problem

Thank you very much

I don't know what kind of response you would expect here.
What you need to do is to check if this problem is related to the defective LCD screen.

If possible, connect with your laptop to external monitor and check the functionality. If the white part is not displayed on the external monitor, the LCD screen is faulty and needs to be changed.

    See you soon,.

I doubt it. Once a BIOS is damaged, its cant boot or anything like that, so you can't reflash the BIOS. I guess that the motherboard would need replacement.

  • Satellite P100: Black screen but I can hear the sound of Windows OS

    Hello

I have a problem on my Satellite p100.
I broke the screen or something!

When I start the computer I press the Start button and the laptop start normal. But the fact is that the computer starts but not the screen.

The screen is not from, but the computer does!
The screen is black, but I've heard say that im in windows beacause of the sound beginning...
    I didn't break the screen,

Can Some1 help me? Please, I beg you!

Maybe you accidentally switched the display on an external monitor?  :|
Have you tried to use the FN + F5 key combination to return the display on the laptop?

In addition, I would recommend linking the external monitor to the laptop to check if something appears on a second external display.

If this does not help with this strange problem I would recommend contacting the ASP in your country. Maybe, display works really bad and a very small part or whole LCD screen needs to be replaced

    Good luck

  • White screen then the message ' selected boot device has failed.

After a normal shutdown last night, that my cell phone went straight to a white screen on back when I turned on.

I tried to plug and unplug, take out the battery and connecting it to a TV with a HDMI which did not pick up anything.

After turning off the power on and off several times, there is now a white dash in the upper left.

I let him down for about 20 minutes before a message saying "the selected boot device is a, press ENTER to continue" that turns off the computer.

I had the computer 4 days if shouldn't them be anything malfunction already.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post on startup problems and wanted to help.

You should not have problems with a PC this new.

My suggestion is that you contact the HP customer support to see about maintenance and options at your disposal under warranty replacement.  If HP is unable to repair it, then you should be able to insist on a replacement - no charge!

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: once you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to someone ' one - it can take a while!

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

    Hello

    I had the same problem.

If you go into the power settings (right click on the battery icon), select additional power settings and change the power plan that you use.  The brightness slider is the wrong way autour if you selected it to its maximum intensity is in fact completely black.  Move the cursor to the other end and save the settings (nothing will happen as long as you save the settings).  The reason it's ok on battery is that the cursor is somewhere in the middle.

    I hope this helps.

    See you soon

    Hello

How notifications behave depends on the State of your devices and on the configuration of your watch. In order to provide notifications to your attention as soon as possible:

-If your iPhone is unlocked, you will receive notifications on your iPhone instead of on your watch.

-If your iPhone is locked or asleep and that your watch is unlocked and on your wrist, you will receive notifications on your watch.

-If your watch is locked or allowed to do not disturb, notifications will be sent to your iPhone.

Have you checked the settings > General > accessibility > greyscale > power off.

If this does not work ty settings > General > accessibility > zoom > on. Triple, tap the screen with three fingers. Tap choose filter. Click None. Triple, tap the screen to get rid of the menu zoom. If you have enabled greyscale in zoom you can disable it in zoom.

  • white screen behind the pop-up window?

    Hey all,.

    I have this problem when I run my application on OS versions 4.3 and above (question does not exist< 4.3). ="" i="" have="" a="" popupscreen="" pop="" up="" a="" dialog="" box. ="" when="" this="" dialog="" pops,="" it="" presents="" the="" dialog="" with="" a="" white="" screen,="" not="" the="" home="" screen="" in="" the="">

When I close the dialog box, it leaves the white screen with the home screen visible through the opening created by the disappearance of the dialog box.  Move the cursor to 'clear' the white parts out.  Finally, when I click out of the OS around, white parts disappear.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this happens?   As I said, I got the app running on versions prior to 4.3 and it worked correctly.  Oddly enough, I see this problem on some devices 4.3 +.

    Thank you!

    Peter

I just found this solution right until I'm your answer.  That was the problem, I was using methods obsolete push which apparently did not work properly.  With the help of pushGlobalScreen (_screen, 1, GLOBAL_MODAL) runs just the way I want it. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it!
