Satellite P200-1 has 2 dead after trying to update the Bios

Hello

I downloaded the latest version of the BIOS firmware of Toshibas site (European site). I checked it clearly with the model nr and serial nr. I went on the northern site to update bios and downloaded the latest drivers and BIOS.

My laptop Satellite P200-1 has 2 and the nr series is PSPB6E-02J023N5. Toshibas site, I downloaded all the drivers needed and bios. I started with the installation of the BIOS, when I tried to install it, then my pc froze.

My food was on.
The fan went beserk everything and the screen froze.
I tried to let it run for 30 minutes, because I was afraid to interrupt the installation. I couldn't wait anymore, so I turned off the pc by removing the battery and power.

When I then tried to turn on the laptop, nothing happens. All black screen.

Can anyone help? I used the correct BIOS driver of Toshiba's own home page, but apparently it didn't work. How do I restore the BIOS? I don't know what BIOS I use.

What I've done so far is:

1. use HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool with MiniDOS files to make your Flash Bootable drive: USB
2 copy all the files from backup for your: USB key
3 rename your BIOS to bios.wph file and copy it in your: USB stick. I downloaded the same BIOS firmware and downloaded as EXE file, I extracted the exe file and found a file called. ROM and I renamed the entire file in bios.wph
4. remove the battery, unplug the computer from power.
5. hold: Fn + B, then all in now the computer in power (do not connect the battery) and close the power button.

But after that, nothing happens.

I'm afraid that something was wrong during the update of the BIOS of m.
It seems that your ROM module, where are stored the BIOS was not flashed properly.

I guess you checked this thread because the procedure described is her even that you posted your message.
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=54395

However, maybe you should try the procedure using the floppy and disk crisis described in the other thread.

If this is not enough, your final option is the Toshiba service partner.

  • Satellite L450-188 - how to disable ACPI.sys and update the BIOS?

Hi, hoping someone can help me with a slight problem, I'll have

    I recently bought a Satellite L450-188 (number PSLY0E-03K019EN) running under Windows 7 64-bit

I use the laptop with a DJ program called Rane Serato Scratch Live, I got latency usb problems, getting usb dropouts when I try to use the program on the smallest audio buffer position (which I expect to be able to do)

When I contacted support at Serato team with my problem, they suggested that I run a program to check the time DPC on my laptop, when I presented the report to them, they said ACPI.sys was the origin of the problem and suggested that interest me to turn it off, but I wasn't too comfortable with that.

The other suggestion was to try to find updates the bios for my laptop, but I'm not too set up with that sort of thing, and I'm worried I might damage the laptop maybe installing the wrong thing.

Can someone give me advice on this topic, because I don't know what to do

    Thank you
    Jim

    Hi jimbob_1,

Normally the ACPI means Advanced Configuration and Power Interface and control options for energy savings.
So if something is wrong with the ACPI.sys file I recommend reinstall Windows using Toshiba recovery disc.
By the way: are you running pre-installed Windows version or another?

As Akuma writes that you can download the BIOS update from Toshiba Web site. http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/ > support & downloads > download drivers

Your laptop belongs to the series of PSLY0E, so you can download latest BIOS.

Before you begin the BIOS update, close all running programs and extract all the files from zip archive. You start the update as an administrator and connect the AC adapter. Also, make sure that the battery is fully charged.

  • Satellite P200 - Microphone has stopped working after installing Windows 7

My Satellite P200 came with Vista Ultimate, the mic has worked for a few months, all of a sudden it stopped. I decided to install Windows 7, but the microphone still does not work.
    Any ideas anyone?

I use this laptop for skpe my people a lot. I can use an external mic very well, but really want my only integrated works again.

    Hey Buddy,

Sounds like there of something wrong with your installation of Windows 7 so the microphone doesn t work anymore...

I recommend updating the driver of the webcam, because the microphone is a part of it. You can find updates driver here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

I put t know what Satellite P200 you have exactly, but if you can t find a driver Windows 7 for webcam, choose another model which is fully Windows 7 taken in charge, e.g. by Satellite P300.

  • HIS 60 dead after trying to update BIOS

Since we bought the machine we had problems with the graphics card when the machine goes to sleep (returns with a low resolution). I checked this forum and found messages recommending to try a bios update. I tried this (using the correct update) and the machine just hung when it ran saying preparing the bios update.

After about an hour, nothing happened and the machine was just hanging - everything we could do was to removed the battery. Now, it is quite dead, and it's not even a power led. We tried to remove the battery, double checked the connection to the sector and he died. Help appreciated - it is a big problem for us.

    Hi Adrien,.

It seems that if the main Board may have failed in your laptop. I recommend contacting a center of Service Toshiba.

    Kind regards

  • Z3 dead after trying to update

I tried to update my Z3 this afternoon, downloaded the PC companion and the update. I plugged my phone as instructed and he started to update. Companion PC came with a notification that there no internet connection, although there was that the loading of web pages were normally. I clicked retry on the pop up box, but nothing helped. Companion PC rebooted and my phone will be the first Sony Xperia black page on start up and stop there.

The phone will not let me turn off just power button, I need to hold the power button / stop and the volume to be able to descend. When the screen Sony, PC companion doesn't detect the phone, saying no phone/Tablet not connected. When I turn off the phone using the power + flight buttons, PC companion then recognizes the phone, I try to go to software update of the phone, a screen will appear asking how to connect, I press ok and the screen doesn't go away, when I press cancel it brings back me to the PC companion selection screen. After a minute of phone being turned off and plugged into the USB port, the phone lights, displays the black start to the Sony Xperia screen and stays there. Then companion PC does not recognize the phone.

Please help, its driving me crazy

@Bennyfromtheblock, for me, it looks like you connect the phone too early. When you perform a repair of software you should not the phone until the PC Companion shows you how to connect it.

Follow these steps: force a shutdown of the device (WE / OFF + programmable volume for 5-10 seconds) > without connecting the phone, press "Start" on the support area > press 'Start' of phone / Tablet Software Update > now, you will get a message that says "could not find phone / tablet" > in this message, you have to press the blue clickable link "fix my phone / tablet" > you will start a step by step guide that takes your grace to repair and This guide will also tell you when and how to do to connect the phone.

@Tanke_MD, you have an internet connection all the time when you try to repair or update the phone? You must have an internet connection through any update/repair process. If you do, you use a Proxy or similar for your connection? Or maybe you have a firewall/antivirus which blocks PC Companion.

  • Windows 7 installation recognize SSD or HDD after (rate?) Update the BIOS

    Brief statement of the problem

After a failed BIOS update (computer is turned off during the update), the computer would not start, indicating that it could not find an operating system.  I tried to reinstall Windows 7, but the installer does not recognize one of my hard drives or SSD internal here which was installed Win7 and my boot drive is - that it recognizes my external my book Duo (backup) but that doesn't help me.  The SSD and two internal hard drives still appear in CMOS and Partition Wizard, however.  How can I get the installation of Windows to recognize my hard drive, so I can repair or reinstall Windows?

Note: I borrowed pieces of this post that I found on line since December 2015 since the circumstances mirror mine near each other.  In this case, the answer that seemed to work for the poster should go to Dell support, download the latest SATA RAID drivers and put them on a USB stick, then load them in when requested by the Windows Installer.  I tried to do this, but, assuming I have the right drivers, nothing appears in the same installation of Windows area after loading in the drivers the most recent that I found and put on USB from Dell.

    Specifications of the computer

Desktop computer Alienware Aurora R4, at Alienware March 2013 purchased
    CPU: Intel Core i7 - 3820K @ 3.6 GHz
    RAM: 16GB Quad Channel DDR3
Hard drive: 2562 GB SSD (SAMSUNG ATA SSD PM83 SCSI Disk Device)
Secondary (storage) hard: 2 TB internal installed at the factory (Western Digital)

Tertiary HD: 1 TB (I installed myself, since I had an extra, Setup has worked well for years)
    GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
OS: Windows 7 64-bit (not sure if Premium version?) family

Readers are not in a RAID configuration.

    History of troubleshooting

After nearly three years of use without problem, my fans were really loudly all the time - even at rest and I rarely do anything intensive CPU/GPU.  According to the information found online, I downloaded and installed the latest version of controls thermal/Alienware Command Center.  Who has not solved the problem of fan and makes thermal controls were not give readings that the more - basically said that the pump of the CPU had failed and that all shows as 0 degrees Celsius.  The information provided by the support forums, I decided to upgrade the BIOS (from v.7 to v.11) using updater downloaded from the Dell support site [perhaps a bad idea, in hindsight, I must admit, but same manual fan controls were not helping the issue].

As the PC has been reset during the update of the BIOS, the computer fans started running at a very high speed - much more quickly that I had never heard before.  I was afraid that my computer was damaged, but I let go still for a long time.  After about 5 minutes, I foolishly forced a shutdown of the computer.  [Yes, I know, it was really, really stupid - well based on the fact that my computer does not boot up to BIOS and from what I've seen elsewhere online it seems the BIOS update went through, although with messed up settings.]

After that, the computer would not start.  The error message indicates missing BOOTMGR.  I downloaded partitionwizard on the idea that it was a problem of partition/MBR and, of course, both my SSD (marked as "boot + active") and a secondary drive have been marked active. I did the second disc "inactive".  Assistant Creation of partition also shows not all of my readers, including their scores, correctly.

In troubleshooting, I had also used my Alienware installation disc and tried to repair or reinstall Windows.  In all cases, the Win7 installation/repair program found no any operating system or hard drives. When I went to the prompt from the installation disk and tried DISKPART "list disk" or BOOTFIX. EXE, they only listed my MyBook external Duet (which I disconnected since then and now no discs see)-I've never seen the internal boot SSD or either of the other internal readers everything in Windows 7 install the program. Using various BOOTFIX. EXE options such as /fixmbr and /scanos help not - they complete "correctly" really quickly without effect or tell me that there is no OS.

Now when I try to load up, I don't you the message BOOTMGR but rather get a topic that there is no current boot device and how I should insert the bootable media.

I then tried to reuse the Alienware Windows 7 disc to reinstall Windows 7, but the installation program could not even find a hard drive.

I also tried to install Windows on a USB bootable, but had the same result.

Can I enter the CMOS configuration very well.  I can make and save changes to it very well.  It seems normal, and it correctly lists all three internal hard drives.  POST also correctly lists all of my hard drives.

I saw the reference to change its RAID settings in the CMOS Setup, but my only two options are RAID or ACHE and none who changes the situation.

I'd be fine with Windows 7 reinstallation on the SSD drive (would rather not do that, ideally, but it's just a disc of starting with some Steam games on it so easy enough to recreate). I don't have my documents among other internal readers backed up but I have not seen anything that makes me think that these readers have been affected, just that I have to get the recognized internal disks somehow.  As simple as somehow becomes the right drivers loaded in, and if so, how do I do that (previously, I downloaded all three files that lists by Dell under "storage device" and "drivers" option of the Setup disk to load on the support page and unzipped on a USB and used in, but that does not in the operating system appears so installation/repair access)?  Or am I missing some other step?

Please let me know if screenshots or more information would be helpful - happy to give them once I am home and back in front of this computer.

    Thanks in advance!

    The value of the BIOS:

    SATA Mode = AHCI Mode
    = UEFI boot mode

Win7-DVD, Win-8-DVD, or a Win-10 USB flash drive should start now. Use the one-time-starting F12 menu.

For Win - 8 or install Win - 10, if the SecureBoot option is available, it probably should be activated.

Connect only the Boot C: drive for now.

Install only on a blank disc (no existing partitions, OEM, or other).

And if the UEFI Mode does not work, you can always try to MBR (Legacy BIOS).

If the SSD is detected in the BIOS, it is a good sign. However, if it continues to not work anywhere, you need to plug into a USB tester or external USB enclosure and connect the computer to work... to test for signs of life.

  • Dynabook G9: Changed Toshiba start screen after trying to update BIOS

    Good day, everyone!

It is not a problem, but I would like to know how it could happen so I a "Dynabook G9" laptop that was purchased from the Japan. It's like satellite 5200 series... When I turned it on, the logo "DYNABOOK" displayed and computer kept loading... a few days ago, I have tried to update the BIOS but downloaded the Russian from Toshiba Web site for 5200 series update... cause there is no BIOS update on the Japanese site...

When I run the downloaded file, it says I have BIOS v 1.40 and it can not be updated v 1.50 because it isn't for my laptop... so my idea to use the update for European laptops did not work... but the question is that now I have "in touch with tomorrow Toshiba" logo instead of "DYNABOOK" and how it could happen? And how can I get it back?

Computer still works fine... but... I do not know... I like just the "DYNABOOK" logo more :-)

P.S. maybe it changed not after trying to update the BIOS (I'm not really sure) but it has certainly changed.

I already wrote something in the other topic and because of that I just want to say hi again ;)

Dear Andrey problem is that Toshiba does not portable as produced big world and there are several global areas: U.S. market area EMEA (Europe-Middle East-Africa) and also in Asia. I am not sure if the Japan is separately but I think it is.

Also books produced in all areas are suitable for each other. Because of this, you cannot mix BIOS and Toshiba has designed tools and utilities. I think that in most cases, it can work, but it is not for sure. Support page for notebook EMEA, it is recommended to use the BIOS and other stuff explicitly of Toshiba Europe. For US books there are all the drivers, tools and utilities on the Toshiba U.S. support page.

Now, you have Japanese laptop and use non - Japanese BIOS or software. For me, it makes sense that some changes will happen. I don't think anyone has good experiences with it, but you should be happy that your laptop works well.

All that s what I can say about it.

In any case, good luck and have fun with your toys!

  • Problems after updating the BIOS on Satellite Pro P200

I recently buy a Satellite Pro P200 running Windows Vista Business. Yesterday, I updated the BIOS to the version 1.50 supplied with the machine to 1.80 available on the Toshiba site. I double checked that I was using BIOS correct update for the Pro P200 Satellitel running Vista.

After updating the BIOS, I have now two problems:

    1. whenever I start and join the office, I get an error message "record of Vista has stopped working". This problem has been identified as toshibavistaregistration.exe here: [link: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=99805]

2 Control Panel > system now shows the processor and the memory (RAM) as "not available". Execution of the diagnostic PC Toshoba tool and looking at basic information show also no information on the memory (RAM) Although the processor information here. There may be pieces others missing too under the eyes of list shorter than before the update of the BIOS.

Basically, I want to get everything working again as it should, but cannot find any information on these issues.

After further review, it appears that the update of the BIOS is not the cause of the problems.

Immediately after updating the BIOS, I had a major system crash. It turns out that this is what has caused problems.

After a system restore to a point before the update of the BIOS and the major system crash, now everything is working again with BIOS version 1.8 in place.

  • Satellite A100 - 803 (PSAANE) - Trouble updating the BIOS in Vista

    Hello

I tried to update the BIOS on my laptop today. After the installation of the new BIOS, restarted the pc and then it showed a black screen with white display text material in the machine.

In the end, it says something about a corrupt CMOS. She said press F1 to default or F2 for Setup.

    I pressed F1.

The thing is that I don't know if it worked. I used a program to display the bios version and it seems up to date, but the CMOS thing me freaked out.

I met all of the planned maneuvers (AC adapter / CC plugged etc.) except in startup mode. I assumed that the boot mode is currently in the standard vista desktop.

    * What is this thing of startup mode? * It's driving me crazy. I searched the forums, google and nothing. How can I get the computer to "boot mode and not recovery mode" as the tutorial says.

I intend to reinstall the BIOS as soon as I know how to enter in the boot mode.

I think that this announcement has already answered in this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums//message.jspa?MessageID=122727#122727

You're talking about the traditional BIOS update, but the fact is that on the Toshiba driver page you will find ONLY the base BIOS update windows.
All new BIOS updates are versions of WIN and can be updated only running a Windows operating system.

In the BIOS, the package should be unzipped everything first, and then an .exe file must be run.

    That s all ;)

  • Satellite A210 - update the BIOS didn't

    Hello

Just tried to update the BIOS on my Equium A210, everything went well until the closing and restarting (which failed).
He left me with a black screen and an orange to power lights, no back to zero and I only can we get rid of the orange light if I remove the battery.
OK, what I'm doing now?... is this repairable?

    See you soon

    > OK, what do I do now?... is this repairable?
    Yes and no.

You can't fix this, but the ASP technician can do that.
Therefore, you will need to contact the ASP in your country, to solve this
The technician would be able to Flash the ROM module and I think this should help you.

    Hello

I bought my wife a Toshiba L300 - 20 d (PSLB8E-0CK00YEN). It came with loaded Vista, which it cannot do.

My grandson offered also to sort. He has installed a new hard drive, loaded with XP and managed to get almost all the drivers working except the WiFi.

After spending many hours, he decided to update the bios of v1.8 to v1.9. Since it does not start... It happens with the Toshba screen, start windows normally, then it attempts to load windows, flashing and start the cycle al.

  • iPhone & iPad with the same Apple ID, Wifi Dead after # 21 #, cannot call the specific number

Hi guys, I really hope someone can help out me with this one. Long story short:

After a week of vacation when we left our iPhone and iPad at home, my girlfriend's iPhone did get any cell phone signal when we came back, said network unavailable in the upper left corner, then we called Fido, the cell phone company, we use to try to resolve the problem. After trying to isolate the problem by changing my SIM card in the phone and SIM card in my phone, we saw that it was related to his SIM card.

The key to reset cell phone network, has changed twice between the SIM card and after a good 24 hours, his phone was on the right track with the exception that it was not able to call me and only me. We get an error call failed. But she was able to receive calls from me and everyone else. Also, we were unable to set up the voicemail.

As if the phone thought she was my line because of some flying over the passage of my SIM card in the phone...

This is the first problem... That we called Fido again. After the usual troubleshooting stuff (reset the network settings, restore the device in iTunes, force the restart, eject and put in the SIM card) the Lady on the line calling in the phone app, the number "# 21 #". Then BAM! no more WiFi on his phone AND his iPad connected to the same Apple ID (not a network problem as all the other device not associated with this specific apple id are ok with this network and wifi iPad literally fall from the moment I hit that famous number) when I press on my wifi network in the list It behaves as it accepts the password, but all is not connect with the wheel spinning without end.

Thus, employees of die cell phone are clueless and now she can't call me and she can't go on the internet with none of its aircraft. I tried a full restoration of his phone.

Tomorrow I will try the iPad on my place of work to see if it can connect to the anther wifi network, pending:

1-don't, anyone know what this # 21 # code is and how I can repair the damage he has done?

2-is my SIM card remains on his good theory and if so, what can we do about it, if not then what could cause his phone to have a call to a number failed error in particular?

    Thanks in advance!

Not sure about the theory of SIM card, but my guess is not... don't dwell settings. The SIM card must be "read" on every power up.

The code in what she you punch is a mobile PHONE for call forwarding. She must have felt you have enabled I guess. It shouldn't be anything else stop call forwarding for his phone, if it was enabled.

    Hello

Unfortunately, it seems that the windows version of the BIOS is available for this model of laptop.

In any case, I wonder why you have updated the BIOS of your laptop. Many users of the forum mentioned that the update of the BIOS is risky!
The bad BIOS or bad BIOS update procedure can damage the motherboard specifications ROM!

Did you follow the directions of update of the BIOS that is available on the Toshiba page?
Generally everyone should plant after that law updated the procedure

You said stuck and need to restart windows
Well I think that something was wrong during the update process and so the phone doesn't display anything!

This doesn't sound good! In my opinion, you must contact the ASP in your country because after the wrong BIOS only laptop technician could save the unit!

  • Updating the BIOS is dead the satellite Pro P300-1AY

    Hi all

found this forum and really hoping that he can help me!
I bought a satellite Pro P300-1AY two years ago, it cost me £900 nr so I thought it would be worthy of a purchase.

A year ago the USBs stopped working, I do it every working solution I could think of anything will do, finally gave up and learned to live without USBs!

However, a few weeks ago, the laptop at the start stop, I didn't get was the black screen. Probably a video problem I did all the memory check hard drive everything else, however, it was only an intermittent problem, I found if I he tilted on the side she would begin, another thing to live with!

But two days ago, I heard that if I've updated the BIOS, it could solve all my problems. so I went to the Toshiba site, found the BIOS updated and downloaded, but to halfway through the installation, the laptop froze and I couldn't t he put it off and had to take the battery out to turn it off!

And ve you may have guessed, he's now won t start. Even its worst, LED lights, and if I put a disc in the cd I can hear it whirring, but that s it.

Is - this irreparable? I ve heard of priming of the cd with the original BIOS with a combination of keys or I'm hoping against hope?
Ty for your time in reading :)

    Hello

    > Is it irretrievably? I ve heard of priming of the cd with the original BIOS with a combination of keys or I'm hoping against hope?

Well, usually the BIOS could once again be reflashed, but you would need a traditional version of the BIOS update.
This version is available for Toshiba FSA.

So you will need to get in touch with a local ASP technician that could reflash the Rom BIOS module.
Eventually, after this update the specifications would be stable.

    Good luck
