Satellite P200 (PSPB6E) battery seems to flow quickly

Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite P200 (PSPB6E) and the battery seems to flow quickly.

Anyone know of best set-up I use energy saving?

Thank you

What is for you sink quickly? An hour or maybe two?
I have the Satellite P200D and if I use the laptop for writing and the Internet I can work for about 1 hour and 40 minutes. For me it's OK for this portable big with 17 inch screen.

I don't know what you're doing with your laptop, but running on battery power, you can use standby power option but brightness set to the next level. The original is too low.

Need drivers for Windows 7 x 64 for Satellite

    I have a few questions.

I've got Satellite P200 (PSPB6E-1C501FGR) and I was wondering is it possible to install 64 bit Windows 7 on this computer and when windows 7 x 64 drivers coming for download?
For HD DVD player, card reader, camera and other drivers and programs we work on my laptop.

    Hey Buddy,

At first please check this document: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9902P50000R01.htm

Here you can see the Satellite P200 is official not Windows 7 supported and you will have to collect the drivers yourself and perhaps on external Web sites too.

What can you do now? I recommend you to install the Windows Vista drivers. Most of them are also work on Windows 7.

  • Re: Satellite P200 (PSPB6E) - keyboard problem

    Hello

I have a keyboard with Satellite P200, series PSPB6E problem.

Keyboard seems to generate Press Page Down constantly, although nothing has been paid to this subject.
It is even difficult to turn on laptop, because it produced consecutive beeps and prevents the computer from starting.

Sometimes some keyboard characters do not work, and in the second time it works. Sometimes same PgDown works as expected.
Œuvres for additional keyboard, but it also receives PgDown keyboard of the laptop.

Now, I can't insert any sentence in this post, because PgDown will move the cursor down.
Laptop is under warranty. Should I enable it?

I note that no. LIQUID is poured on the keyboard.

On the keyboard of the computer laptop not work keys A, B, N, LEFT SHIFT, INPUT, same brief moments where PgDown keys not dumping. Sometimes even these key works!

    Best regards
    Vladimir Stefanovic

    Great news, buddy! :)

I also have good experience with my ASP. They fixed the laptop as soon as possible and the repair took only a few days. It's also free.

So still I m happy with the service!

  • Satellite P200-1IE: battery goes down even if connected power outlet

Hope someone can give me some good advice here as an urgent decision to make about my P200-2 - week old 1IE, under Vista Home Premium, I bought the Portugal where I live. I was told that I have 15 days to return the machine to the store if I am not satisfied, then I must act quickly.

Background info: I have not yet downloaded SP1 updates or drivers or bios on the Toshiba site. That once the machine has been run on battery (accidentally when the power was off) - he ran down, beep and a time that I realized and turned on the power, is it charged normally. The machine works very well, and then last night a strange problem occurred.

The machine was left unattended and ends by closes. When it has been restarted the battery alert was a sound signal. My husband na? A´t realize that it was, and close again the machine. When I got to watch it I noticed that even though the power light was there was no light to the battery, or orange or blue, nothing.

I turned on and checked the battery which was about 20%, but that the power supply has been connected to the taskbar icon energy showed that the battery was not charging in fact it unloaded quickly at a minimum. I stop the machine, then the battery light orange came for about 5 minutes, then went out again. Play with this problem, try to troubleshoot gave strange and unpredictable results i.e.

-unplugged and re plugged the power supply at the end of the machine and then no lights came, not even the power sector led.
-is turned off and turned back on the power at the end of the plug and the sector and battery (orange) lights came on.
-battery charge indicator is out after 10 minutes.
-unplugged and reconnected the power to the machine again and this time the sector and battery lights came on - even once, they came out after about 10 minutes.
-power the computer on. The power icon showed about 25% power. Not powered down the new machine - no lights at all.
-entretienavec and re-connected turns on power to the machine again and this time and battery charging sector came and stayed on.
-After about 2 hours, the battery light showed charged (turns blue) and so I unplugged the power socket and left for this morning.

As I suspected, this morning the battery power was 100%. Everything seems normal (except the battery light is released briefly on starting the machine, which is maybe normal and I just never paid attention to the front). I unplugged the power supply and let it run on the battery for about 10 minutes (this is plan is Equilibrado which I believe is balanced). I then reconnected power and loaded back up to 100% as you can imagine.

Sorry for the long description, but even if all is well, now strange problems yesterday let me feel that there is a potentially serious problem within the machine. Has anyone encountered anything like this before and what do you think I should please?

    Hello

It s a long and very strange history.

My first idea was a battery issue but to be honest it is really not easy to say why this problem occurred, it would also be possible that this would cause to loses connection

I think you should visit you laptop dealer and eventually you could substitute other P200.

  • Satellite P200 (PSPB6E) - screen LCD cleaning and new display drivers

I have P200 almost 2 years (which means the end of a guarantee for me soon) and after about a year, bad pixels began to appear. I do not know exactly if all (it's more than 10 now) are in fact the bad pixels. Compared to other laptops Toshiba, I have always had lower edge of the frame of the screen a little loose (so he leans a little after I push in the middle of it and a lot of dust and dirt continues to fall below) and there was a time where I have even a piece of hair between the transparent cover of the lcd screen and the Panel itself (after a certain time it fell under the bezel by itself).

I would like to ask, if it is possible to remove the transparent cover of the screen so I can clean from inside?

I want to avoid a scenario, when a service provider told me that there is an insufficient number (according to the ISO standard) bad pixels for repair under warranty, so all that waiting to get the laptop to and return service was actually for nothing.

Also, is there somewhere a new VGA driver for this laptop? There Radeon HD2600 and the latest driver download from Toshiba site is July 22, 2008. I also tried ATI.com but it's as if HD2600 was no model ATI. The standard Catalyst drivers for versions of office do not work and there is no HD2600 specialized drivers, except those of Toshiba. I think that this will become a problem even more acute when Windows Seven will be put in place and with a lot of users is no longer manufactured portable (and many of them ignored Vista if their material has enabled), will seriously consider trying the new OS and there is no VGA compatible driver for her, because some Toshiba forgets to update them and ATI seems that they don't care.

Thanks in advance for any help with these.

    Hello!

To be honest right now I n do what cover you average, but normally it s not necessary to clean the LCD from the inside.
Also it of a bit more difficult to remove the cover plastic around the LCD and you really must pay attention to not destroy as this plastic is very sensitive.
In my opinion the best way would be if you go to an ASP. For the moment, your laptop is still under warranty so that you should use to get a free repair of laptop. With more than 10 pixels dead, you should get a new view.

On the Toshiba site, you can find the nearest authorized service provider:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported downloads & => find an authorized service provider

On the display driver: why do you need a new? I always use the drivers of Toshiba and never had a problem.
What you can do is to get a cell phone which is equipped with the same graphic card. Maybe on other cell phones, a newer driver has been released yet.

    Good bye

    Try using NLite
With this free tool, you can create a custom XP install disc (of course you need a working pc to run this tool...).

He images your cd xp and you have the option to add drivers. the pilots, you add to the installation of xp to work are in the zip "Intel Matrix Storage Manager - 7.5.0.1017" [link: http://nl.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/tracker.jsp?file=http%3a%2f%2fsupport2.toshiba-tro.de%2ftedd-files2%2f0%2fstormng-20070827133046.zip]

I used the drivers in the ICH8M_32bit directory.

  • Is satellite P200 - 1C2 (PSPB6E) 64-bit Windows 7 compatible?

    Hey guys,.

    I got a question here:

I tried to find the drivers for my Satellite P200 PSPB6E and I found almost everything, but there is no PPV for the 64 bit version of Windows 7...
I tried the the satellite P500 series VAP and it works more or less, but the FN-Hotkey button bring up flash cards! (it's my major problem, so if I could solve this one, what follows is not so important)

So my question is, is it possible that Toshiba will provide a PPV for Win 7 64 bit or is more than portable just for old and is not compatible?
Or y at - it another way to get these drivers I need for those funktions?

    Thank you guys!

    Welcome,
    Rough

As you know Windows 7 is already a lot of time on the market and if Toshiba has no Win7 64 bit stuff has offered so far I don't think it will happen in the future.

What you have done is just. You can try one last thing, find utility support Flash Cards for another laptop model and try to install it on your Satellite P200.
I'm not sure this will help, but you can try it.

Also check the settings of flash cards and enable the option allow the mouse to show the cards. Perhaps this option will help you see flash cards using the mouse pointer.

  • BIOS update failed on Satellite P200 - 13 M

    Hello world

    I have a Satellite P200, (PSPB6E-03G01XFR).
Yesterday, after attempting to update my BIOS version with the windows application, my phone was cut.

I downloaded the new version of the bios of Toshiba-Europe Web site (v2.30) and I tried to use the Crisis_Recovery_Disk but no result. :(
    Can someone help me please?

Unfortunately, in your case only the ASP can help you.

Does your BIOS update fails and only the ASP can update the ROM module damaged by using a special version of the BIOS

So, don t waste time and ask the ASP in your country to help.

    Best regards dude

  • How to connect satellite P200 - 1 8 to a 40 "LCD TV

Sorry if this has been before Laura but I tried to pick him up and nothing came...

    I have a Satellite P200 - 1 g 8 and I would like to connect it to a 40-inch LCD.
Should what kind of cable I connect the 2?

The TV is a Samsung LE40B620.
Could I get a HDMI cable and use the hdmi on the TV and the laptop connections?

Must be a special type of cable or are they all the same...

Sorry if this sound stupid, but I don't have a clue how to put better... Thanks in advance

    Hello

Your laptop Satellite P200 - 1 8 seems to support HDMI output port.
The LCD display supports a HDMI port.
Then just use a HDMI 1.3 cable to connect both devices.
That would be the simplest solution.

I have connected my U400 24 LCD via an HDMI cable
    It works!

  • Satellite P200 - 17 c PSPB6E - battery and charger delivers

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone can help.

I had my laptop Satellite P200 - 17 c PSPB6E for about 2 years. For the last 6 months the battery and the AC adapter have been gradually getting worse.

The adapter is now very loose and I need to hold it with one hand while using the laptop. The same battery with the AC charger in place does not increase (it shows 0% available plugged in, load). If the AC adapter slips, the laptop is dead and I need to recharge.

Essentially, it seems the only thing keeping the laptop on, is the adapter (which itself is very loose).

I need to know whether a battery or a problem with the AC adapter. I had only the laptop for a short period and would not have expected problems early.

    Thank you

    Baker

    Hello

In my opinion, that your laptop is quite old (2 years) and these things can happen, mate.

But I think you need new batteries and AC adapter or motherboard. If the battery doesn't charge with adapter connected the case is clear: the battery is faulty because she will not be charged.

Regarding the connection of the adapter problem AC/DC it's hard to say because theoretically, it could also be a problem with the socket on the motherboard. This is why you should ask a technician for laptop. The technician can tell you what the problem is.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite P200-1EE PSPB6E: problem of battery and Webcam

    Hiya People,

I have a Satellite P200-1EE model number: PSPB6E 0GM028EN. The election House of Uni a few days ago my refuses to laptop to turn on the laptop on and happening only when I put a Power cable in.

I took out the battery cleaned with a can of Air and put it again and it worked but the next time I did nothing happened.
Strange thing is that, once it is running, and I take the power wire, it works fine.

It is maybe something wrong with the battery of laptops of s?
How old is your laptop? Guarantee is valid?

As far as I know, the guarantee covers the battery for one year. Then maybe you should ask and ASP in your country for a control? Maybe the battery doesn't work as it should.

    > 2nd problem is the software integrated Webcam won't work for me. Sometimes, and when I restarted the laptop it works fine again. I tried to reinstall the driver but it gives warning that the newest is already installed on my laptop. Am I right in thinking that its due to the new version?

I n t have a solution to deliver you but I assume that it s associated with the software/driver of webcam.
You should visit the European driver Toshiba page from time to time and need to check if an update is available.

    Good luck

  • Satellite P200-1 to 4 does nothing on AC/battery

    Hi all

I have a problem with my Satellite P200-1 to 4.
When I connect the battery to the power adapter, the laptop does nothing (no lights, no sounds)

When I dosconnect the battery and leave the AC in place, the system starts normally.

I tried another battery of a friends P200-1 has 4 (that works), but in my laptop, nothing is left.

It seems therefore that I can use the laptop on the sector now.
One of you had a simular problem or have a solution for me?

    Thank you very much!

What happens when you start Notepad with ca only, but when loading the battery operating system is placed in the laptop again? Battery is correctly recognized?

  • Brand-new Satellite P L50-B-1 1 - battery draining far too quickly?

Bought a 1 P L50-B-1 Satellite less than two weeks ago, but over the past few days I noticed the battery seems to be draining very quickly as a couple. The icon will say I left hours, but the percentage will drop quickly regardless of this.

I noticed that this happens with other laptops in the past, but that usually comes after years of use, not a few weeks.

I would have ordinarily used my warranty to communicate with the seller and ask them to provide me with a new battery, but the battery in this laptop is integrated, which I've never had to deal with and so I'm not quite sure what I should do.

(if it helps, I have always used a balanced diet plan. I sometimes play games that are on the more intensive things I do on this subject, and sometimes I keep the laptop through that. But once I do not see how my use could have seriously damaged the battery so fast)

How long can you run the laptop with the energy of the battery until the battery is empty?
According to Toshiba (Mobile Mark 2012) the laptop must turn round up to 6 hours battery only.

Of course, it depends on more or less of the use of the laptop and power settings, but I guess it's a useful reference value.

In case your battery does not properly load, I would recommend you contact service center to check the battery for a possible malfunction

  • Question about battery on Satellite P200-1JV

Can someone answer this question please: what Satellite P200 battery and battery recharging happens at 100% load, and the light is blue are there continuing fees to the battery or does the pc disconnect the load?

I ask this question because my laptop is plugged in for long periods of time and I don't want to fry the battery because 99% of the time its used as a desktop pc.

    Hello!

Have you checked the manual for more information? I downloaded it on the Toshiba site because I have another model and I can find the following information on the LED power:
+ In normal operating mode, the power light is blue (depending on the model you have purchased). If the system is in Standby Mode, the LED flashes orange, while the light is off when the computer is turned off or in Hibernation mode. +

I put t know if this information is useful for you, but if the laptop is connected with the adapter AC/DC battery will not be used.

    Good bye
