Satellite P200D - 12f PSPBQE - Question about the temperature of the CPU/GFX

Hey guys,.

Here are the specs of the laptop:
TOSHIBA Satellite P200D-12F series laptop - AMD processor Turion 64 X 2 TL - 62 2.1 GHz 2 MB of Cache, memory 2048 MB DDR2-667 SO-Dimm (2 x 1024), drive optical drive DVD Super Multi, 250 GB SATA, 5400 obr/min, 17.1 "WXGA + TrueBright High Brightness (1440 x 900 resolution) TFT LCD Display, 10/100 Mbit Ethernet LAN, 802. 11b / g wireless LAN, 56 K Modem, ATI Radeon HD2600 256 MB dedicated graphics card, stereo speakers integrated Harman Kardon, 3,45 kg, Bluetooth, integrated webcam, Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, 2 years international warranty

I can t find any son or sites that define idle temp for this processor and graphics card.
in normal position and high performance / games.
I have an extra cooler (link: http://www.mimovrste.com/artikel/2210016012/hladilnik-za-prenosnik-akasa-ak-nbc-02b) under the laptop. It helps us not much, but still it s running * 53 C * (celsius) while surfing internet.

Without this cooler surroundings 60 C. It seems strange to me.
When I play games on high performance base temperature goes to * 63 C *, without paste xtra * + 80 c! *

I clean the heat sinks each month 1 with a huge compressor :)
I don t let any dust in there. I have the laptop like a year now big runs, but still I m interested in this s the temperature of our similar models.
I had a few 'disable problems' when I didn t have the additional cooler, but now he runs great, but im still not convinced it s the 'normal' temp : S

So please help a lost soul, surf the internet finding nothing to answer his question :)

Hi dariod

You can't find any info on the idle temp for this processor and graphics card because the temperature level is always different.
The laptop temperature depends on the temperature of the environment, the use of the laptop and power settings.

In Win Vista, you can change some settings to be able to affect the temperature of the CPU and the cooling module feature:

Here is a useful link to the FAQ:
+ How to manage Windows Vista power management features.
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD84026Q0000R01.htm

In addition, you must update the BIOS if a new BIOS update is available.

Greetings

  • Satellite P200D-12f - can I use the 800 Mhz RAM memory modules?

    Hello!

I have a satellite p200d-12f pspbqe model laptop.
It has RAM 2 x 1 gb 667 mhz in it.
So the qustion is: can I put 800 mhz RAM in my laptop? My motherboard supports 800 mhz ram?

    Thank you!

    GLIST

    Hi mate

The speed of RAM depends on the chipset FSB!
If the chipset would support 800 Mhz module RAM would you also with 800 Mhz.

But if the chipset does not support FSB 800 Mhz then you RAM modules would be locked at the speed that is supported by FSB

So you can use 800 Mhz but this makes no sense if the FSB is slower.

    You check the chipset properties!

  • Satellite A30 - question about the CPU temperature

    Hi all

I have a Satellite A30 (model name: SA30-151, model number: PSA33E). I had the usual problems with overheating and closing, where I had to clean the radiator.

My question is, how hot the CPU must sit at and what temperature is dangerous?

I installed 'Hardware sensors Monitor' and the average temperature is about 55 c, but I saw it happen at 70 c when I'm pushing it.

I was not able to find something on the net about it and I can't find information on the Toshiba site.

Any help or advice would be appreciated, thanks...

The same temperature is on my Tecra M1. Believe me, there's really no reason to panic.

  • Satellite L40 - question about the CPU temperature

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba Satellite L40 17 Q with Intel Celeron M CPU.

The usual device temperature is about 60 degrees Celsius. I read that the Tj to this type of processors is 100 degrees Celsius.

So my question is dedicated to the owners of laptops equipped with Intel Celeron M processors and of course for the hardware gurus.
Is the operative temperature of 60 degrees Celsius of normal, and if not how do I decrease.
My laptop is new and I make sure that the air flow openings are not jammed.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello

Don't worry, the CPU temperature. 60 degrees Celsius is certainly within the normal range, and there is no reason to worry about this. On my laptop Tecra, I noticed the temperature CPU about 62 degrees Celsius and drive HARD around 40 degrees Celsius.

  • Satellite L850-046 - question about the CPU temperature

    Hi Experts,

I bought the Toshiba laptop 9 months ago, but now notice the temperature warms. I check the software Toshiba Health Monitor and the CPU temperature range of 46 to 53%, fan speed 50%-63%.

    Is - this normal readings?

I am now using a desk fan pointing in the vents hoping that additional traffic can maintain better temperatures.

What would be the ideal and the overheating of the readings to look out for.

    Thank you very much

Because cell phone use for 9 months, I recommend you to clean the cooling fans.
The fact is that from time to time the dust and debris that may affect the performance of the cooling fans, and this could lead to a higher temperature.

I clean my fans from time to time using a jet of compressed air.
It helps to get rid of dust and to lower the temperature.

    Hello

I can't give you details on the microphone of the satellite Pro S300 tension because I didn t find all the details about the tension of mic jack, but I guess that it s a voltage standard as on others, laptops different.

As far as I know the external portable media microphone who need 1, 5V DC.

  • Satellite L30: A few questions about the change from Vista to Win XP

My satellite L30 has Vista Home Basic preinstalled, but I decided that Vista is still a little slow & buggy and would like to change to WinXP Pro. I have 2 questions-

    1. a change to XP will extend the battery performance? (currently 1 h with no wifi I think it's pretty poor)

    2. I intend to reformat the hard drive for all the hidden partitions will be lost. If I decide to go back to Vista, at a later date I will be able to reinstall using the "upgrade" dvd that came with my computer? I think I'm wrong in saying that this dvd contains a full version of Vista, but I wonder if my serial number still working?

    Thank you

    Hello

If you bought the L30 with Vista operating system preinstalled, then I presume that you have received also the Toshiba Vista recovery CD.
The Vista on the recovery CD is already enabled and you don't need to enter keys t.

Regarding your battery question: well as you know the battery working time depends on the use of the laptop. Performance heavy on the laptop running decreases the life of the battery. It is a fact.

But you assume the Vista needs of more resources for laptop as the XP and the Vista operating system wastes more energy than other operating systems.
I think if you install XP on the laptop, you should be able to work with the battery a little longer as with Vista.

  • Satellite A200-1cr - two questions about the AC adapter / CC

    Hello guys,.

I am owner of a laptop Toshiba Satellite A200-1cr and suddenly one morning, I can not charge my battery...

I tried with another adapter that I bought for another laptop a few years ago and it worked perfectly...

I have change the power supply cable before the adapter, that we... http://www.digitalkind.co.uk/INU_Products/INU_ProdDetailsL8.ASP?ref=57306972
and nothing has changed, I realized that I need a new ac adapt power...

    It's for my laptop... http://toshiba.icecat.biz/en/p/PA3290E-3AC3/AC%2520Adapter%2520120W.htm

But now I have two important questions...

    1. since I tried, the power adapter works fine, do you think that it can causes problems on my laptop or battery if I use it for a long time... I have to say that they had the same features...

    2. is the replacement of the power supply covered by my warranty which continues to operate? or will I have to pay? I have two year warranty... and it is very important for me to know...

Thanks in advance and sorry for my English...

    > 1. As I've tried, the power adapter works well, do you think that it can causes problems on my laptop or battery if I use it for a long time... I have to say that they had the same characteristics

If the AC adapter doesn't supports exactly the same specifications as the original Toshiba AC adapter so I wouldn't recommend using it! This could damage the motherboard! So if you want to use it you must make sure that the ampere, Volt and Watt values are the same!

    > 2. The replacement of the power supply is covered by my warranty which continues to operate? or will I have to pay? I have two year warranty... and it is very important for me to know...

The AC adapter belongs to the laptop and it s covered by the warranty also.
So if you warranty is still valid, don t waste time and contact the ASP in your country!
Explain what s bad guys and I m sure will be able to help. The adapter must be replaced if it s defective!

In this case, I would not recommend using 3rd party adapters if you will get a new ASP.

  • Satellite A20-S103D: two questions about the recovery process

    Hello

I bought the machine above my nephew - is no longer necessary.
It runs Windows XP Home Edition and is not a Windows CD or disc of recovery of any kind.

I have a Windows decal on the underside with the product key, but when I use "Belarc Advisor" to examine the product keys for all my software loaded it gives a totally different operating system product key! This key contains the letters OEM in there.

As the machine is supplied with a Toshiba power management software I guess it's an OEM Toshiba of the OS version I have.

    My questions are:
1 / this does not mean that at some point in the past, this machine was another product of Windows XP on it? (two product keys)
2 / I can, (and), I get the Windows XP CD or a recovery for the machine, like I need to recover or to reload Windows.

Thanks in advance to all members of the forum that meet.

    > 1 / this does not mean that at some point in the past, this machine was another product of Windows XP on it? (two product keys)

The key you found at the bottom of the device belongs to the OEM of Windows version that is part of the recovery diskette.
The recovery disk is already enabled so that the key is not required in order to activate the Windows operating system.
As far as I know, that the key does not work with other versions of windows

    > 2 / I can, (and), I get the Windows XP CD or a recovery for the machine, like I need to recover or to reload Windows.
Since it is an old, I doubt you'd be able to order the recovery for this device disc
If you want to install the Win operating system, then you must use a Windows CD clean valid keys and all drivers may be downloaded from the page of European driver of Toshiba.
The drivers are placed in the archive because it oldie s in order to choose the archives in the type of product to download the form.

  • Satellite A200-1GH. Questions about the replacement of HARD drive

    Someone made about?
    Consider replacing _TOSHIBA MK1237GSX factory-installed ATA Device _ with HDD 320 Gb SATA - II MK3252 _Toshiba GSX_ (120±, 5400 RPM, SATA-II)

What I'll do with the hidden partition of Windows Vista that is used for the start?
Is it possible to ignore it?

    Any suggestions?

    > What should I do with a hidden partition in Windows Vista that is used for the start?
The hidden partition is needed for the repair of the system!
If something goes wrong with the system, Vista would be able to repair the system using the files from the hidden partition.
The Vista operating system creates this partition automatically during the installation of the OS!

After you change the HARD drive, just start using the Toshiba and Vista recovery disk should create the partitions and must run the installer automatically

  • Satellite P200D-12f PSPBQE - blue screen when waking up from sleep

    Hello again!

I feel blue screen problems when I close my laptop and open it again (while he wakes up).
It says something about Ati blah blah.

I find that very annoying reseting every time the PC cuz he went to sleep... any1 has / had similar problems?

What can I do about it? I had b4 of win xp on my laptop (toshiba don't support even xp for this model) and it worked perfectly, even not a problem... and now with win 7 I have millions of problems and win7 is supported!

    > I feel some problems blue screen when I close my laptop and open it again (while he wakes up).
    > It says something about Ati blah blah.

Blabla ATI means that the BSOD is related to the ATI graphics card chip or graphics card installed driver.

If Win XP worked perfectly, then the problem must be caused by software installed. Maybe the graphics driver...

I recommend the update driver graphics card and if necessary, update the BIOS.

  • Satellite L30-134 PSL33 - Question about the version of the BIOS and the type of DVD writer

    Hello!

I bought a Toshiba L30-134 PSL33 the week last in Hungary. I recorded to Toshiba international warranty, so I saw that my cell was made the 19.10.2006.
My friend bought the same laptop (Toshiba L30-134 PSL33) too (also in Hungary), two weeks ago. His machine was made on 19.12.2006.
It's already funny, but that's not all.
My laptop has a series number starts with X, and the machine of my friends has this starting with Z. That's ok.
    But here it is...
I have a BIOS version of 1.3 and my friend has a BIOS version of 1.9! 0.6 gap within two months? Why?
The other thing. I have a DVD burner called Mat * a UJ - 841 S and my friend has a LG 4082. Once again: why?
If you are looking for Toshiba BIOS update you don't find anything! It is very interesting. There must be some updates to the BIOS, because I read here to another topis that someone has a BIOS version of 1.4. But there are 1.9 too.
Each book was brand new when we bought.
    Any idea?
Let me know when you bought your laptop, what BIOS version it has, and what kind of DVD player there.
I'm wainting for the answers, because I'm really interested!

    Thank you
    Marcell

    Hey Arnaud!

I m from Hungary, too, but I think I should speak English on this forum :) So here is my notebook, I ve bought on 24.12.06. :

    Type: L30 - 134 PSL33E
The machine was made on: 19.12.06
    Series: starts with Z
    DVD player: LG
    BIOS version: 1.9

You should t be nervous on the drive, the carpet * a Panasonic, and I think that s as good as LG. Why are they different? I put t know, maybe Toshiba was such at the time. In the specifications I didn't seen anything on the drive type, so I think that s not relevant. I t has not found another version of BIOS for this model, so I t understand too why and what are the differences between the versions. But if you n t have a problem with your machine, you do not need to change the BIOS. This isn't a PC, if you haven t many options to change in the BIOS.
If you want to discuss on the laptop on the Hungarian language, I recommend the Toshiba section on www.prohardver.hu.

    Best regards
    Abel

  • Re: Satellite P200D-12F - more recent Windows 7 drivers

Can you explain to me how to install the provided Toshiba drivers for model Satellite P200D-12F (PSPBQE)? He has the ATI HD2600 card.

How Windows 7 drivers be more up-to-date, then the Toshiba provided drivers? I have problems (blue screen) with Windows 7 drivers, and you can install t all the other drivers!

    Please help and explain that!

    Hello

Why is it so important for you to have all the latest drivers? In my opinion, it is not necessary. Not all new drivers are running more stable than the previous version if sometimes it s better to use an older version.
The installation of the drivers is easy enough: If download you them on the Web from Toshiba site start the exe file and follow the instructions on the screen. All that s!

What BSOD you have exactly? BSOD-s are not always related to drivers, sometimes it s also caused due faulty RAM or HARD disk.

If you have the code BSOD, you can search with Google or Microsoft Knowledge Base to find a solution for this.

  • Satellite SM30-604: 4.25 SpeedFan and question about the right temperature?

SpeedFan 4.25 is on my Toshiba Satellite SM30 604.
Until recently, the CPU usage shown was variable.
Compared to a low percentage (green dots) to somewhere around maximum, according to what I was doing (I have never game, but use purely professional things like Word, Excel, PowerPoint and many websites).

Temperatures in most of the green time, the high 40-links, the low 50-links (I then scroll to the top of the Speed01 of the fan from 0 to 50% and 50%, it starts to run). I sometimes add an external fan, I work sometimes in very hot climates).
I have the readings of the time 4.
Local temperature: 49 c (with this temp color varies between a Green V and a red arrow pointing upwards).
Temp distance: 85 (with a flame)
    HC0: 26 c (with a green (V)
    Temp1: 86 (with a red flame).

WHAT ARE THE TEMPERATURES IMPORTANT? WHAT IS LOCAL TIME? TEMP DISTANCE AND TEMP1?

These very high temperatures, I've had for a day. The fan is working (I hear it, I can feel. "I can see, because I partly dismantled the laptop.) But the Speed01 is 0%, and there is no reaction on the adjustment upward. Or playback is 100% without reaction to setting down. And rotating or disable "auto fan speed has no effect.
And without any other program running, the CPU usage increased a few seconds after switching on to 100%. I do not notice a significant slow down in the speed of my applications when I start using them. And a virus today scan did not reveal all the important things.
I can't activate my taskbar more.

Who has some answers for me. Green in this area?

    Thank you

    Hello Han

Your ad is very nice and very interesting, but you'll be very happy if someone can explain all this because you are using a non-Toshiba software. It is always recommended to use the original software because software Toshiba designed has been tested and it can just to protect the hardware components.

Use of software from third party is always at your own risk, and if you have any problems or questions, please contact their own support. They have much more experience with your applications.

I can just tell you that you should be careful where your laptop is placed and make sure that the device can take a deep breath and cool down properly.

    Good luck!
